that light is casting a shadow on the background it's casting a shadow of the darkness hey gear Seekers I'm Nick this is the brand new deep cool ch60 it's a tiny little small form factor case that's designed for going to land parties in 2024 so you and your friends can play Team Fortress and I'm talking about Team Fortress as a mod for Quake let's take a look at this thing pull it apart and see what makes a tick and see if this thing is worth $65 in small form factor goodness it's got a handle look how cool it is going to a little [Music] part all right let's start off with panel removal to remove the side panels there are two screws on each side you just need to slide the panel back and away from the case trying not to smash the panel like me cuz I'm an idiot the rear panel is much the same there's two screws on the rear side panel we slide that back the same way and remove it from the case to remove the top panel of the case there's four screws there's two on the front side and two on the back side while we're on the back you know what we do and then we can lift the top panel up and away from the case I'm trying to yeah there we go something I'd recommend if you're building in the ch60 is to remove this panel here as well it's not NE necessarily required but just for ease of use and to make your life a lot better remove it there's two on the back and then there's one up the front maneuver that panel away from the case while I've got this panel in my hand for Io we've got a combined headphone and microphone Jack a USB C Port two USB type A ports and a power button with a combined power light the top panel of the ch60 has this nice little handle just in case you're thinking of going to a land party in 2024 I mean there's still things I suppose right yeah land party handle there's three dust filters in total and they clip into their respective panels the one for the top panel just kind of Clips in and can be removed quite easily I'm not going to remove it all the way there's a similar type of dust filter on the bottom of the case which can be removed by lifting it up and unclipping it and last but not least there is also a dust filter on the front of the case that can be removed in the same way for power supply support this ch1 160 supports sfx sfx L and ATX power supplies and the way it will do ATX power supplies is you can see this little bracket here well it's got two screws what you want to do is move this bracket down to this location here and it allows you to install the power supply in a different configuration if you look closely they have these little labels for where you want to put certain power supplies so for ATX you've got a for sfx and sfx L you've got s so you can see a S and S there's also a few more as well look as SS while it's pretty versatile with power supplies the limitation is the maximum length which is 140 mm which is okay because you have to remember the power supply is screwed in from the top and you know the case isn't very tall as it is something that I thought you guys might find interesting is deep cool decided to save a bit cashola with pre- routing this cable for your power supply and I kind of agree with them on this I wasn't going to but I think it's going to make it easier in the long run so the way this works is it comes with one of these so basically you would plug this into your power supply up here and then you run the cable out the back and it's got this little uh slit at the back or let's not call it a slit cuz people might get offended it's got a little cutout on the back and the cable runs out the back and then you plug in your power and hello is this thing on is it on I don't know if the ch1 160 does one thing really well it's having a shitload of screws for everything so for hard dis and SSD support this one's interesting you can only do a single 2.5 in drive or a single 3 and 1/2 in drive and the way they do this is you guessed it removing some more screws right so we remove this screw here or that's tight like your mom and then maybe not like your mom who knows and another screw oh look at that's two screws I think there's a pile of about 14 screws now and we remove that and then they call this the multifunction bracket let's get let's get a round of applause for the multifunction bracket and it doesn't stop there with this bracket right so you can do your two drives on here but this is also designed for a front fan Mount yep that's right a 120 mil fan mounts with two screws to this at the other side will just dangle and flap around and yeah you can do a 120 mil fan up the front for intake which I'll probably do and is something that I would recommend in this itty bitty little baby case for fan and radiator support in the ch60 there is no radiator support in this case at all it's a little bit strange given it looks like a 240 will fit but it won't but that's okay because that's not really who this case is geared towards I got to give it some concessions here because the size of the case is awesome I kind of like the size of it not going to lie so at the top we can do two 120 mil fans up here but not a 240 mil rad because 240 mil RADS are actually bigger than two 120 mil fans just in case you weren't aware of that I'm not trying to be sarcastic that's just because people automatically think it will fit on the rear we can do a single 120 mil fan there's no fan support on the bottom of the case whatsoever I kind of get why they've done that because your GPU is going to take up all that space anyway and because of the height of the case they kind of really tried to make this as small as possible so yeah and lastly as I mentioned the multifunction bracket allows you to do that fan up the front again no radiator support I'm not disappointed by it because I can see who a case like this is targeted towards something I thought was worth mentioning as well to install the top fans they've made it pretty easy by you guessed it more screws so we can remove these two screws well there's four screws I wonder what the screw count is that we're up to maybe we'll count when we're done with this and then you mount your fans to these little bracket teers and then you drop the bracket back in the holies on the top and then put in the screw imag Jigs and we're good to go you've got two fans mounted at the top of the case not a terrible idea for a small case like this it also does one really good thing and that is saves money on metal to make the case cheaper that's kind of the whole thing with this case that I've noticed with going through this and having a tinker with it before is they've really tried to save money absolutely everywhere on this case and that's what we'll come back to later in the video but spoiler alert it's like $65 for this case so you know stick around if you want to learn more if not stick around to learn more 17 screws to even start building a PC without putting anything in it as for the motherboard support was that a good was that a good accent clear the motherboard support trying to channel Matt Lee here the motherboard well he doesn't talk how can I Channel him he doesn't talk why doesn't he talk he doesn't know how oh that makes sense if you don't know how then yeah for motherboard support you guys guessed it ITX only uh that's what it is it is what it is but something else I noticed because I've got a Keen Eye for the motherboard guy there's two standoffs here with those locating pegs which means you can Peg the board and screw it in without having to worry if it's going to fall out the TV show yep fall out the TV show right there it's really good you should watch it in the end absolutely everybody dies because Taylor Swift serenades them and they just all die because they love it so much same yeah that's what happens go watch it it's on uh youtube.com/ Seekers for air cooler support yep the Deep cooler assassin 4 fits in the case right even almost in the Box it fits in the case but on the real you're looking at 172 Ms for maximum air cooler height which means whoa baby most really nice air coolers are going to fit in this with zero to no issues so good work deep cool this is looking to be pretty interesting and I know that I'm joking about this because you know little cases like this are fun right they're fun cases but the fun doesn't doesn't stop there it actually has some more fun included in the Box you heard that right the fun don't stop because they've got these little things that go into the little square bits in all of the mesh panels on the case and you can draw pictures on it and it's in lots of different colors it's actually kind of awesome I know I'm sounding very sarcastic and very stupid in this video but it just looks like a whole bunch of lollies not candy lollies that's what we call it in Australia lollies look look at this there's just heaps of them this is really exciting they shouldn't have given me this because deep cool doesn't know me very well because uh any opportunity to make a penis I'm going to make a penis a rocket yeah a rocket a flying rocket asked him from hardware and box what he thinks about my flying Rockets he loves them [Laughter] yeah lots of uh wonder if they taste good remember how good Tide Pods used to taste they were really good leave them for me they're very delicious deep cool is calling these pixels I also have those in my Monitor apparently I don't know I've never seen one uh yeah look how fun this is guys check this out right oh that's so fun yep that's really fun see oh you know what got to do two yeah that's sick look at that case mod so sick you know this is getting a dick right like it's definitely getting a penis on it at some point says CLA apparently in or on it's up to her I don't know she's married don't make jokes about her she's my wife for GPU support if you're wondering the answer is hell yeah it fits 490 fers fit the 490 fers is 304 mm long this case supports gpus up to 305 mm long almost like deep cool did it on purpose huh huh look at that big chunky GPU let's effing G I didn't want to swear twice because sometimes the algorithm doesn't pick up when I swear once all right ladies and gents that's everything I think you need to know about the Deep cool ch60 let's do our usual thing and do a build I look so uncoordinated right wow if only I had kids they could be embarrassed of me I'm embarrassed of you honey that's okay I know you are just look at me I'm going to do a build now um I got to figure out how to build in it it smells cheap it is [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] let's take a look at The Thermals what you're seeing on your screen right now is The Thermals for the Deep cool CH 160 are pretty average like they're not good they're not bad I think it's mainly to do with this cooler like it is actually a decent cooler but yeah it's running a little bit warm in this configuration also pay attention to the extrabutter testing that I did here on this graph I detached the top fan typically with these type of air cooled builds I won't put fans on the top of the case a lot of the time it actually impedes the airflow and I found that to be the case here but it was just worth testing because I know know someone would have asked about it if I didn't put that top fan up there now ladies and gents if you're interested in any of the hardware used in this PC there's a PC part pickle list down below and I also use little things on the screen during the build section of the video so you can see what all the hardware is okay right let's move on and talk about the ch60 well I have a few mixed feelings about this case first of all I really wanted to hate this case I really really did because the build quality is this metal is like pretty terrible quality the paint and the finish on the case is really really average and like I get that this is supposed to be like a $65 case but there's just a few things that I don't know it's just the quality is not great but maybe you like not great quality cases for you to own yourself but even though these panels are only a little bit thicker than an A4 piece of paper you know this stuff is it's cheap it's really cheap and I guess that's the point of the case I don't think cheap is a good enough excuse for the quality being crap uh other case companies like antech montech and like there's heaps of other companies that make cases not small form factor necessarily but just cases that are cheap that are way better quality than this uh I don't hate this case don't get me wrong I don't hate it I think it's a really cool idea I like that it's cheap but just make it a little bit better please the quality could be better deep cool what's going on guys I find it highly strange but also get it as to why the front panel isn't somewhat removable because if you're installing a GPU in this case fair enough you have to remove this bottom section here but what if it's a big GPU like the 49 founds which I know some people are going to use and it's going to be the GP that you're probably going to see in this video as well and this is all filmed out of order but let me take out the front panel so I can put it in easily and not have to fend angle it and maneuver it in in a weird way come on deep cool the nr200 p with their new version can do it heaps of other small form factor cases have like a cutout at the front and it will allow you to remove the front panel it's almost like you haven't been looking at what anyone else has been doing again I'm not hating on this case I think it's a really cool idea but they could have at least looked at what other people were doing and not just say hey the nr200p V1 is going away let's take its place and make it cheaper because that's just not how it works it doesn't appear to be a nice case when you pull it out of the box but that's not really telling the whole story where this case really shines is with when you're building it I know I complained about there being 17 screws when you start building this thing and that is actually a bit of a problem deep call figure that out like why is there 17 screws I hate that but actually building like putting the motherboard in there getting all the cables to fit plugging everything in even getting the 490 to fit was was easy I had no problems with it so good work deep cool you made me want to hate something and when I went to go and building it I didn't hate it it's actually a uh fairly nice case overall despite the build quality and the random things with deep cool cases like yeah the paint's pretty crap but also around the rivets the paint scratched off I I don't know I always have these quality control problems with deep cool products the other thing with deep cool is they makes some really great products especially their liquid coolers and their air coolers and their cases have kind of been hit and miss over the last few years I just wish there was a little bit of consistency with their products because realistically like their air coolers are great and I've used their liquid coolers in production systems over the years and they've been great but it all needs to be great it all needs to be consistent and I think that's just miss from their cases at the moment a lot of people would disagree with me and I'm going to be a bit of a here and say it but I'm sorry but I review more cases than basically anyone else I get to touch and see how these things are built almost more than anybody else so yeah that alone gives me a very unique perspective when it comes to quality of cases again I really did want to hate this case because I am concerned about build quality with deep cool cases it's always all over the place sometimes it's really good sometimes it's not and this case is just really it feels cheap right it feels cheap but at the same time it's small form factor and there's way worse cases you can get and I think after building with it and knowing what's capable in this case I would say it's worth the $ 65 and here's why so first of all yeah I'm I'm not going to say it anymore but the fact that a 490 fits in here with no problems well at least a Founders one is pretty surprising to me and that alone is enough Merit for me to to recommend this case it's it's it's pretty nice now there are other considerations to make with fitman in this case which you may not agree with first of all deep Co says that it supports two 120 mil fans up the top no this cooler it doesn't and this is your own cooler so of an oversight but you know it is what it is they make smaller coolers so it'll work with those look I don't hate it I don't hate it and I don't think you're going to hate it either yeah it feels cheap but if you're interested in the Deep cool CH 160 it's going for around $65 uh now the case launches right now weird that they decided to launch this just before computex but also good because it gave me something to do today right and if you like the music you heard here I make all the music join button have a listen I'll get around to making some new music soon we've just been really busy with life you know that's that's the thing make videos live life play video games and forget to make music which is it's been a while any as well as at PC pop pick list if you're interested and I'm your boy n with gear Seekers you peek we seek and here's a little Beanie cat doing a beanie cat thing what did she do this is me testing the new animal autofocus on the S5 2x they just released a new firmware today I've installed it on all of our cameras to play around with and yeah it just snaps onto beanie as you can see here she's just doing cat things being a cat and right now at the corner of my eye while I'm not staring through this lens I can see Claire giving bie cat a bit of a pat on the table and she's flopping around and being a bit violent because you know that's how she do she cute hible dble do
