The CUT Alternate Costumes of Super Smash Bros Ultimate

the Super Smash Bros games are known for their references to a character's Home Series they go about these references in several different ways such as the character's moves taunts and so on one of my and many others favorite ways the Smash series references the fighters original games are through the alternate costumes since smash is obviously a multiplayer game they need some way to have characters stand out from one another when two or more people pick the same character in Ultimate everyone has a total of eight when you include their main costume giving most characters a large variety of different appearances some of these are just pallet swaps whereas others go out of their way to reference specific things looking over these costumes and learning about their Origins is one of my favorite things to do with every smash game but sadly ultimate made some interesting costume choices yeah so not every costume from over the course of the smash Series has made it into ultimate as some have been replaced by other costumes today I want to go through every character on the roster and look at each of their cut costumes from the series I'll go over each of their Origins if I could find something and also give my personal opinion on if the cut costume should come back in place of one of their current options I should also note that there are a few costumes that have evolved over time rather than just being replaced I'll try to go over most of those cases but if I miss one it's likely because I didn't think the evolution was notable enough to mention but anyways with that being said if you enjoyed this video please make sure to leave a like subscribe to the channel and let's jump right into our first character starting us off we of course have Super Mario himself and he's had quite the interesting costume Evolution his a ultimates are pretty good already but that doesn't mean the cuts were any less painful starting off with smash 64 and melee three of his five costumes didn't really make it to Ultimate also I just want to say now that I'll be using footage of the costume most easy for me to get so if the costume exists in Smash 4 the footage will be from there that just so happens to be the case for our first costume here being a yellow Al which I'm sure everyone can tell is based on Wario I do really like this costume I've always been a fan of the color scheme so throwing it on Mario works really well since Wario is of course a fighter though this costume getting cut is more than okay it was replaced by the Builder Mario costume in ultimates which I think is a much more interesting choice our next costume is one that has been in every smash game but it's one of the weird Evolution ones the costume I'm talking about is the one that would eventually become the Black and White costume we see in Ultimate again this is another color scheme that works really well on Mario so I'm happy it's still here this is a apparently based on Forman Spike from Wrecking Crew but I mean it doesn't look similar at all well that's because it originally looked much closer as in Smash 64 it was more Brown before becoming gradually more black and white with each game while the original is definitely much closer reference-- wise I honestly prefer the new look the colors just look much nicer to me the Final Smash 64 costume is the inverse color palette this survived into brawl before being cut in Smash 4 this is a reference to his appearance in Mario Bros which I think was fair enough to reference at the time while I do like this color scheme I'm personally fine with it not coming back as Mario set of8 and ultimates is already pretty strong that is except for one why on Earth is this costume still in the game the green and brown mix is by far Mario's worst color palette and it's been in the series since smash 64 now yes I've commented on my hatred for this costume before but the reason I bring it up again is because I'm still mad that it survived but fire Mario didn't this was a costume in braw and Smash 4 and it is the most obvious choice for Mario seeing as the fireflower is one of Mario's most famous powerups it was the costume I used in Smash 4 and the fact that it's gone in Ultimate is so frustrating rating it was replaced by the Mario Odyssey wedding outfit and while I love that costume for obvious reasons fire Mario should still have been here too and you want to know what an easy solution to this dilemma is that's right removing this one so in a perfect world my set of eight costumes for Mario would be his ultimate selection minus the green and brown and plus the fireflow all right Mario is the first of the major costume rants in this video but luckily we could take a bit of a breather until our next one Donkey Kong has actually kept all of his costumes into ultimate the only thing worth noting is that in Smash 64 his green costume was like really green Donkey Kong are you feeling all right so that means we've got to take a look at link who definitely has changed quite a bit that's because each smash game basically has a different link as the one we play as smash 64 and melee used the hero of time from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask braw and Smash 4 used Twilight Princess link and ultimate of course uses Champion link from breath of the wild and tears of the Kingdom Champion link is also by far the most different looking link so his costumes are wildly different in fact it'd probably be easier to just say what hasn't changed or at least only evolved to match breath of the wild link smash 64 link had four costumes which all made it at least into brawl we could say that the def fall turned into the tunic of the wild and ultimate so that leaves the other three the red one is based on Ocarina of times Goron tunic and was only just cut in Ultimate this is a very well-known look for link but I think it was replaced well with the red highly and tunic and ultimate as that matches Champion link more similarly the blue costume was based on the Zora tunic and was also replaced in Ultimate by an ALT based on the royal guard uniform again since that's a reference to breath of the wild I don't mind this change the Final Smash 64 costume is the lavender one based on Link's look when he has a blue ring equipped in the original Legend of Zelda this one only ever made it up into brawl and I honestly don't mind it really doesn't stand out that much so this getting cut is all right with me melee added only one costume being this black tunic I'm sure everyone can tell though that this was replaced by Dark Link in every game sense brawl which is a much more interesting costume speaking of brawl they added in a yellow costume which is based on his look after using the great fairies tears this is also a pretty interesting one since it doesn't really have a replacement and I think that's a bit of a shame there's not really a costume I'd replace in ultimate though at least with this yellow tunic that brings us to our final costume being this purple tunic which is based on purple link from a large number of titles I'm a big purple fan and I think link pulls it off pretty nicely here if if I were to bring any costume back I'd definitely choose this one I'd personally replace this costume in Ultimate since it's just far too close to the tunic of the wild so just like Mario I'm overall happy with Link's costume selection but I would change one also I guess it's worth mentioning that this costume based on Skyward Sword link lost the Hat in Ultimate which fits the character much better so that's a good change in my book on to Samus now and we've luckily got much less changes to worry about here all of her costumes from Smash 64 melee and braw made it into ultimate that leaves us only one costume from Smash 4 to not make the cuts that being her last one this is based on Dark Samus G I wonder why it was cut yeah obviously that makes sense samus's current selection is good now it's time for Yoshi this is by far the worst costume update in the entirety of ultimate only one of Yoshi's costumes didn't make it into ultimate Black Yoshi which was introduced in Smash 4 everyone and I mean everyone loves this costume I don't even like Yoshi that much in Smash but I had to give it up for this obviously this is just based on black Yoshi from the main series and I think it worked as a fantastic alt for the character but then came ultimate ultimate just so happened to be launching around the same time as the new Yoshi game so they decided it'd be cool to throw in a reference to that new game yeah let's just say it was a mistake crafted Yoshi is genuinely one of the most ugly costumes in the game all it does is change the texture of the default Yoshi and makes it so much worse like I genuinely hate looking at this it's so so awful and you know maybe I wouldn't even hate this thing as much if they decided to replace literally any other costume besides the literal best one yeah the next smash game better kill crafted Yoshi and bring Black Yoshi back this makes me more mad than Mario's fireflower and I don't even like playing Yoshi genuinely a baffling decision that they need to revert Kirby just like Donkey Kong has had all of his costumes make it to Ultimate with only the green one changing a bit in Smash 64 and melee it had green shoes but every game sense give him orange shoes this makes him now based on green Kirby from Nightmare in Dreamland instead of just being a green pallet swap so this change is good Fox is another character like link to change his main design every smash game luckily though it's not nearly as drastic so we don't have to cover too much here his only costume from Smash 64 to not make ultimate was his blue Al which is seemingly smash original while it is a good color scheme and not having an origin makes me all right with it not coming back his other costume not to fully make it into ultimate would be his White costume from brawl I say fully because this is another one that definitely evolved a bit over time in braw and Smash 4 it was clearly a majority white but in Ultimate it's become much more green with most of the white being replaced there doesn't really seem like there was a reason for this especially since none of them are based on anything so I honestly prefer the brawl look it stands out much more especially since Fox already has another green all so I would keep Fox's costumes the same but revert this one back to how it was okay time for the rat the Pokémon company sucks I was going to say when it comes to Smash Bros but no they just kind of suck in general for this video though the Pokémon costumes are all mostly bad they're very inconsistent on if they want their characters to change colors and Pikachu is one of the unfortunate few to not really shift that much that means they instead had to put hats on Pikachu for its costumes with these hats changing between games in Smash 64 these were all party hats with there being a red blue and green option only the blue one made it to Ultimate in fact it's the only one to get out of Smash 64 I think that's a good thing though is that means all Pikachu's hats have to be different from one another we see how they they were updated in melee with the red one becoming Red's hat and the green one becoming a green hat not to be confused with Green's hat I know it's a little complicated to stay with me here as far as I can tell this hat isn't based on anything so it being replaced by Brandon's headband in every game send brawl is a good change speaking of being replaced though that blue party hat actually was originally cut itself before coming back in Smash 4 as Pikachu wore the swimmer goggles and brawl now despite the party hat not being based on anything I honestly prefer it staying over the goggles at this point it sort of references how Pikachu started in Smash so goggles leaving is fine by me still has the goggles too so no one's ever really gone I guess the final Pikachu alt comes from Smash 4 where he wears the choice headband this is also by far the darkest Pikachu which makes it close to its shiny but still not exactly there the two female Pikachu we got in ultimates I do think are better than this costume so despite how many costumes the rat has had I think the eight and ultimate were all the right choices so good job Pikachu starting off the smash 64 unlockable characters we have Luigi and every single one of his costumes has made it to ultimate the only notable thing is that his original White costume colored his gloves to match his skin color in both smash 64 and melee that was because instead of it being based on fire Luigi like it is now it was based on his default sprite from Super Mario Bros that's a cool little detail but I'm sure would look really weird now so I prefer the fire Luigi look NES also had all of his costumes survive into ultimate with only the blue one tweaking its colors a bit the original shirt was purple and yellow instead of the purple and lighter purple it is now I prefer the new one personally Captain Falcon for some reason had six costumes in Smash 64 making him have the most in that game they all made it to Ultimate so I guess it's not that important I just thought it was pretty interesting Captain Falcon hasn't had a single cut Al so good for him to end off smash 64 we have Jigglypuff another hat wearing Pokémon similar to Pikachu just like the rat in Smash 64 Jigglypuff only had one type of hat being a big bow that came in red blue and green only Red made it to Ultimate with the others gradually being replaced over time in melee Jigglypuff got two hats that haven't made it into the newest game first is a crown which is literally ripped from Peach's model I mean it looks nice on Jigglypuff so I can't complain there but yeah this getting cut is fair the other Al though was really cool it was a green bandanna and it fits on Jigglypuff surprisingly well this is definitely a fan favorite for sure well mainly people hate jiggly puff so who knows personally I love it and I desperately want it to come back at the same time though replacing one of Jigglypuff's current ones is hard her new green Al the Sleepy hat is perfect so I would not touch that I think I might get rid of the flower since it doesn't have a listed origin and she has another red alt but now it's time for our melee characters you'll notice as we go on that each game will pretty much get shorter as they figure out how to make better costumes over time there are always exceptions to the rule Peach has only lost one alt over the series that being this one which is of course based on Daisy this is another case of a costume being cut since the character made it onto the roster so I think that's pretty fair one thing I did want to note though is that the crowns themselves used to actually change a lot more in the older games I mean compare the melee blue Peach to the ultimate blue Peach I think the changing Crown is cool so I kind of wish that was kept Bowser's costumes were a bit more tricky to follow first let's start with the red and blue ones from melee while Bowser does still have red and blue and ultimate the hair on them is red while they were originally yellow I prefer the new look though Bowser's other melee costume is where things get a bit tricky this is a black costume and while he does still have a somewhat similar costume in Ultimate it's much more Brown that's because this costume is sort of a combination of of this black one and a brown one added in Brawl this brown one is based on Boom Boom by the way I'm not crazy for this brown one but it combined with the black one does actually make Bowser look pretty cool the Ice Climbers have basically had the same costumes in every game with only a few minor tweaks basically the only change is that popo becomes more purple in this Al also yes the one in the back is popo because if you didn't know the Ice Climbers will actually change who's the main climber depending on the alt you use I know this because my brother likes to play Ice clammers and the alt he uses has him control Nana yes my brother plays me sword fighter and Ice clam God help me Chic being another Zelda character also gets an updated look for each game with melee being based on Ocarina of Time Chic and the others being based on characters that don't exist okay well she's meant to match the style of Twilight Princess in braw and Smash 4 and breath of the wild in Ultimate but Sheik wasn't in those games her colors pretty much stay the same though so we can move onto Zelda she also updates but her designs are actually based on real characters being able to determine which costumes are actually cut here is a bit difficult since a lot of them are sort of Evolutions to match with the new design the closest one to being cut is this purple one from Smash 4 as it's quite different from the Violet and ultimate I like the Violet one more though I guess I should mention that Smash 4 Zelda had an ALT baseed on the Zelda we see in Ultimate which got replaced by an ALT to reference Twilight Princess instead hopefully that wasn't too confusing Dr Mario's only difference is that the gloves in his blue wals were purple and melee but have been more Scion ever since I'm just going to use the black do anyway but this change is cool I guess despite only being in melee before being executed for a while Pichu has actually got some changes to its all first off while he does still have the red ribon and blue goggles and ultimate he no longer has the ribbon that went over his torso honestly I think I prefer how these originally were as it added a bit more unique colors which Pichu definitely needs since he doesn't even change a shade his other melee costume is this green one with a backpack apparently it may have been ripped from ness's model according to the wiki so its removal is fine by me FAL ALS have been pretty consistent over the series with only the blue one changing drastically I think the darker blue/ purple of the newer design looks a lot nicer so I'm happy with the update Mark is another character that's mostly just updates but I did want to mention his purple all apparently it was based on Roy but since Roy was added in Smash 4 as DLC and as in Ultimate this costume was made much lighter blue which I think was good to differentiate them a bit more while we're talking about Marth we might as well cover Lucina who has nothing cool let's move on young Ling's only change between melee and ultimate has to do with his black all this received the same change Link's black old got with it turning into a full-on Dark Link and ultimate obviously the new one is much cooler gondorf is an interesting Zelda character as he's the only one to revert back to an old design he previously used he was based on Ocarina of Time and melee then Twilight Princess for braw and Smash 4 before returning back to Ocarina of Time Ganondorf for ultimate I greatly prefer Zarina time luck his Twilight Princess design always just looked a bit weird to me besides that though there were really no costumes that were cut with the skin tone being tweaked on a few of them as the series went on he did have a brown alt in braw and Smash 4 but since that was based on Ocarina of Time gain indorf I don't really consider that being cut for Mewtwo the only costume he's lost is this green one from melee it was pretty much just replaced by his yellow one that he has now which is vaguely similar to his shiny and Gen 2 so I prefer the new one Roy's all stayed mostly the same with just his blue Al becoming a bit lighter in Ultimate compared to how it was in melee the new one is based on Roy's father making it a stronger reference and our final Melee character is Mr gaming watch where all of his alts are in Ultimate kicking off brawl we of course have menonite while he doesn't have any cut costumes he does have two that have had a pretty interesting Evolution these are the two with the special masks in Ultimate first off the galite AL not only were the colors in Smash 4 kind of far off from what they should have been Smash 4 is also missing the massive cut down the middle of the Mask I'm really happy they decided to go all the way with this reference this is one of my favorite alts in the game now same goes for the dark metanite alt which is missing its cut as well oh and on top of that metanite sword originally stayed the same color in all of his alts but in Ultimate galacon knite was given a pink sword and dark Menan knite has gray so yeah they definitely went out of their way to greatly improve these costumes and I'm really happy they did Pit on the other hand did have a costume that ended up being cut as this one is really close to dark pit so obviously it had to be removed oh wait he still has this one well that's weird anyway he does still have another cut all being this random mismatch of colors like it's got light blue purple orange who dressed this guy it's based on his look after obtaining the Silver Arrow and reaching level three strength so it's a decent reference while it does look kind of odd I guess I would prefer it over the dark pit Al since that's a bit redundant one other pit thing worth mentioning is that his pink alt originally had pink wings as well before they turned them into purple and ultimate I think I'm more of a fan of the old one so yeah I'd fix this and change the dark pit all speaking of dark pit his only real change comes from his yellow alt in Smash 4 it was garbage what is this the bright yellow is much better zeros Su Samus only has one cut costume but I honestly like how it looks a lot it's this neat mix of purple and white and I just think it looks really good heck it may even be my favorite color scheme for her it's not based on anything but it looks so cool that I think it should come back I'd replace her dark blue Walt because that thing existing in the first place is stupid she's already blue but that brings us to one of the most interesting characters in this entire video that being Wario the reason he's so interesting is because he's one of only two characters who at one point have had more than eight costumes in Brawl he had a total of 12 six for Wario Weare and six for his overalls he went back down to the standard 8 and Smash 4 but him having extra was so cool that also means there are quite a few costumes for us to talk about here let's start with the Wario Weare ones since I like them less first off his yellow and green costumes were sort of combined together to get the mix of green and yellow we see in the other Smash games I think the color scheme works best when put together together honestly so I think they made the right choice to combine them his black alt and brawl is honestly pretty similar to his red alt so I think this one getting the boot is also fine by me the final biker costume is this blue one and I honestly think it looked pretty neat despite it looking cool though I think I prefer the four biker alts we have now while the biker costumes were somewhat interesting the two cut overall costumes are really good first off we have a brown one which is an inverse of Mario's old foreman Spike costume I like that a lot since by this point Mario has become the Black and White Version we know today so giving Wario the foran spike reference just makes sense I think it fits him really well too the other costume is also fantastic being the sort of captain Wario with the white and dark blue mix I love this one even more than the other if it was in the game it' definitely be the one I'd use seemingly it's based on his old Game Boy Sprites but I'm going to call it captain Wario but that brings us to a dilemma which costumes to cut if they're not going to let us have 12 we have to figure out which of Wario's overall wait why does Wario have the ugly green and brown combo let that costume die please besides that I'm not sure if there's anything I would cut for the brown one so I think the only change I'll make is to cut the green and brown one to give us captain Wario I do really hope the next smash game lets him have more costumes and everyone in general that'd be nice for snake the only costume change has to do with his white alt and brawl which looks similar enough to his white Al and smash ultimate but the website gives them different Origins so I thought I'd list it just in case in braw this resembles the desert camouflage whereas the ultimate one resembles a splitter camouflage I don't have any strong feelings on this one one way or the other Ike got quite a few costume updates and that's mostly because of his redesigns and braw he was based on baby Ike from Path of Radiance whereas in Smash 4 he was adult Ike from radiant Dawn in ultimate though four alts are baby and the other for or adult personally I greatly prefer adul Ike he just looks way cooler as for the alts though the green look from brawl was given to adul Ike and Smash 4 an ultimate obviously making it way better the brown Al however was completely cut on the braw dojo this was referred to as ordinary Soldier so that's the closest we're going to get to a reference it's definitely the lamest of the babyit costume so it's cut is more than fair onto Smash 4 since he became an adult the yellow red and blue alts all feature him in his older design here like I said I prefer the adult look but if they had to keep half of his alts as babies then I guess I'm fine with these reverting back in Ultimate the last costume though is one that was actually cut being sort of a white one this was based on crom and since he's a fighter in Ultimate the cut is definitely fair though I do quite like this color scheme on Ike Pokemon trainers has had a pretty interesting set of costumes as they of course went from all being red to also throwing on leaf on top of that Squirtle and ivys sword died in Smash 4 leaving only Charizard so starting with the trainer itself its costumes got quite the makeover first off he originally had one based off Leaf but since Leaf herself was actually added in Ultimate the color was cut Pokemon trainer's next costume was based on Brandon from gen 3 this wasn't fully cut though as the color scheme was transferred to Leaf in Ultimate but red doesn't wear these colors anymore next up is a blue and yellow costume which seems to be smash original you could say it was replaced by the Callum costume scene in Ultimate which I think makes sense considering that's an actual reference the last costume is this really weird brown one that I just don't think looks very good I'm happy with it being cut so yeah funnily enough every single one of his brawl costumes were either cut or given to leave at the very least all of the Pokémon kept their alts but yeah the trainers has had a bit of a crisis happy they figured it out though cuz their ultimate costumes are pretty good Diddy Kong managed to keep all of his costumes which brings us over to Lucas his his first cut costume was his original blue one this is based on ness's pajamas which is an all right reference but the new blue one is much better that references duster from other three the game Lucas is from so I think it was a good decision to change it Lucas also used to have a red and green alt which looked kind of neat this isn't based on anything though which is likely why it was cut and replaced in Smash 4 that has him wear the Bony shirt which is a much better alt for obvious reasons what the dog doing the final Lucas alt is this purple shirt which was again replaced in Smash 4 with another animal shirt this time being a baby Drago I'm a big fan of the graphics shirts Ness and Lucas got so it's safe to say that I think Lucas's new alts are best Sonic has had the same garbage since brawl I mean his orange alt was slightly more red back then but come on it's still awful they should add Sonic that exe as an all King DD only has one alt of note being his green one from brawl he does still have a green costume in Ultimate but it's quite different most notably the OB has W on it and the old green one is just the standard DDD the colors in the new one are also much brighter the original was pretty drab in comparison olar got quite a few costume changes first off he used to have an Al based on a space suit more specifically the Navy markv space suit this was a really cute reference and I'm super sad to see it go it was sort of replaced by this weird gray one in every game since Smash 4 but the white one is just so much better to me so I'd revert it back his next braw costume is also really neat being this cool gold and black mix my favorite part about this though is the fact that the glass has made extra foggy here making it stand out honestly I take this over allart's green one so that's another costume I'd personally replace speaking of green he used to have a weird amalgamation of green and pink it doesn't seem to be based on anything so it's just kind of weird the final costume for him is this blue one which is meant to reference Lou at the same time though the color scheme looks extremely similar to Al who became a costume forar in Smash 4 so if I had it my wayar would have his ultimate costumes minus green and gray and plus the Black and White costumes from brawl like Sonic Lucario has had the same garbage costumes since brawl also I always find it funny going to his section on the Smash Wiki because not only is his reference section completely blank but they didn't even bother to stretch out the chart like everyone else Rob has also kept his costume since brawl except this time his are really good bro how does Rob have more references than you T link is another one who kept all their costumes which brings us to our final Brawl character wol first off he's another character to change change designs between games and thank God because his ultimate look is way better than his braw one and braw he's based on starf Fox assault whereas an ultimate he's based on Star Fox Zero as for the costumes he's pretty much got entirely new ones in Ultimate so let's just take a look at all the bra ones first off he has this red and purple costume but that's just kind of what his default color scheme would later BEC so the cut makes sense next up is a black and white wolf and it looks really nice I'd love to see this one on ultimates wolf so if I had the choice I'd replace his current orange all with it then he has a green costume which is not as good his armor has the same color scheme of this image and that's all I'm going to say his light blue Walt is at least pretty solid I like his ultimate one more but this design isn't half bad and finally we have a white and red wolf which also looks pretty nice I don't think I'd replace any of ultimate's alts with it but it's cool to look back on but now it's time for our final smash game Smash 4 there's not going to be too many costumes here since they pretty much understand at this point what they want to do also I'm not doing the me this video don't get mad villagers our first character and his final two alts did change as they have a different skin tone in Ultimate than they did before I think this was a perfect change to make so I'm happy that they did that Mega Man we fit and cringe all of the same costumes which means we could can jump into our biggest character yet if you remember back in Wario section I mentioned that there was another character that had more than eight costumes this character had even more than Wario in fact with a total of 16 double the amount of any other character so who is this special person well that would be Little Mac guess the extra costumes start to make up for him sucking so much the reason he has 16 costumes is because he has eight normal ones and eight wireframe versions and ultimate he only has six normal and two wireframes which I'm guessing was done to keep everyone's costume count consistent but it's again really sad now don't get too excited because the cut aren't the most interesting things ever as every wireframe is just the same as one of the normal little Macs the only two wireframes to survive are the default and Hoodie versions which are definitely the best choices so I won't complain there that does leave two default little Macs on The Chopping Block as well though versus this blue costume based on his look while fighting in the major circuit and punch out Wii it's a good look but probably the least different so it getting cut is fine the last Al is the one with yellow shorts based on player two and punch out Wii another good costume but Mac does have a different yellow alt so the cut makes sense here too oh and of course don't forget the two wireframes that go with these so yeah yeah if they did have to pick eight I think they went with the best choices but man is it lame that his costumes had to get cut in half and he's still not good Greninja Peta and Pac-Man all share the same colors in Ultimate despite how much one of them should change Robin also has the same colors but they were updated a decent amount first off I think this smash for hair just looks so much better it's much brighter compared to ultimates and I honestly like that a lot I'm not sure why they changed them to be more bland I greatly prefer how they looked in Smash 4 speaking of the hair though we do have to take a closer look at the red alt because the hair here completely changes and ultimate it's blonde but in Smash 4 it was a bright red this costume is based on Anna so the change makes no sense why would they make it less accurate the blonde doesn't even look better I'm personally a much bigger fan of the red hair this is one of the most bizarre changes out of any costume like I literally can't think of a good reason why they do this I'm sure there are some people that prefer the blonde hair but changing it to be less accurate is so strange to me Robin definitely had a much better costume selection in Smash 4 also I guess I should mention that lucina's hair also changed a bit between games but it's not nearly as bad speaking of better in Smash 4 shul look next day next oh my God this is going to sound super hypocritical to the last segment but I don't like the changes to his alt in Ultimate in Smash 4 they all featured him with blonde hair but they decided to change his hair color to match with the references in Ultimate now yeah I can understand why they do that having more accuracy is theoretically nicer but man it just doesn't work here now this could be because shul is just generally uglier in this game but I think he would have been better off staying blonde here are the alt side byid so you can decide which set you like best I definitely can understand why SL would prefer the new ones but I just think they look so much better beforehand duck hunt got no changes so that brings us to Ryu who actually has our final cut costume of the video so this final costume is ryu's reddish orange Al this was based on his start color in Super Street Fighter 2 while that is a decent reference he already has a much better orange Al Plus in Ultimate he got a new purple alt in place of it which looks really nice so with that said I think I'm more than satisfied to see it go but anyways that's it for this video do you hate ultimate because you can't play Dark Samus Samus anymore let me know in the comments I thought this was a really fun video to research for and I hope you all found out about at least a few costumes You' never seen before there are definitely quite a few Smash 4 ones I miss so getting a chance to talk about them helps relieve the pain a bit but anyways Dy bones for Smash and I'll see you guys
