The Carbonaro Effect - The Evolution of Camouflage

um this area here is a nice little place to take photos from and I don't know if you saw I had this on earth oh did you not see this I that's a giant tomato hornworm really and as we notice the environment changes we're studying the patterns of what the animals instincts are changing to camouflage evolves you know you can see you know for example you might look in the brochure and see you know you see stuff on the ground all the time there's the sticks or little piece of cigarette butts and band-aid this for example here you see that yeah what does that look like it looks like there's some kind of wrapper right yes yeah it's an excellent I mean this pattern we might see an animal take on that pattern because if it's put out into the inverted app to it so we wouldn't even know you know you would that that's what we notice is around and there's a little test that we do when you hold it in your hand you just see I seen a little movement you see that yes and you just give it a little and look at that it'll fly away and it looks like a wrapper and we'd we wouldn't know that it's a butterfly that was yeah to my to my trained eye I can see it I saw a little movement on it did you see that hey that's so cool right I thought that was a complete I thought it was a wrapper yeah well it's trying to make itself look like a wrapper yeah you know so it does it looks exactly like it feels a little softer you know we adapt - yeah that's so crazy yeah I never I mean that's so cool that nature really finds a way yeah you looking around from a walking stick and stuff this one the other one that this is one of them I think yeah these are very hard to tell because they're actually getting into ink mimicry you know where the patterns you know like a newspaper yeah like this is a difficult thing for it to for something to mimic right you feel it to the animal is just a pattern we recognize that at his newsprint we would see that if you brought it you know somewhere somewhere where it might want to live you might see an animal that would come and mimic something like that that's why something can look like a rapper I mean look if we were to take this and just give it a toss you would see and you can still see some of the look at that what yeah Wow but no - have you felt a bird's wing before no I've never well when you felt that paper you could feel yeah it felt like paper no it was a lot silkier you don't feel a silky I don't know that much and they know that so you might even go over and touch it and just toss it on by but that's why we have in the park if we do clean up the park we make sure to separate our garbage you know will separate recycling will separate the natural waste and then also any camouflaged animals and we'll put them right back out here I'm blowing my mind's blown away [Music] when's the last time you just took a went outside to take a look at what was around you we don't have that much like this around us so I mean we have streets and random trees well next time you see a random tree just make sure it's not a hippopotamus give it a little nudge nudge it if you hear a snort you run yeah yeah the way they mimic now it's not just instinct but it's also the Carbonaro effect through the environment you know what that is the Carbonaro effect oh the Carbonaro effect is the name of a hidden-camera magic TV show and you're on that TV show right now you know looks like a little shed over there yeah this camera right behind right over here those cameras right there do you say hi now what were you thinking you're like well but I don't know you might not be crazy not from this what did you think you crazy yeah it can happen watch are so awesome watch where you walk and always separate your trash I'm sure there aren't any animals hiding in there couple Carbonaro effect
