Riot is introducing 20 new artifacts with the new patch and some combinations are so broken that they even had to disable the augment Trash to Treasure just to prevent players from reaching Exodia coms all the time in this video I will cover everything I learned about the new artifacts during my time on the PBE server but just before we get started videos like this are a ton of work and subscribing to this channel allows me to continue making them if you're already subscribed thank you you're awesome it's finally time to unil what Riot has cooking in the background that will likely change TFT forever the First new artifact I want to go over is called suspicious trench coat it grants 250 HP 25 attack speed and once per combat at 50% Health the holder splits into three copies of themselves each with 33% of the max Health there is a lot to cover here because this artifact has a ton of interactions first of all when the item procs the original unit dies all copies will spawn with the same items as the hold but there are some special rules in place for example if the holder has an item like vok then they will take 33% of the total HP and therefore spawn with slightly more HP however they don't receive any bonus HP from their own vok item effects are all refreshed even if the original unit used them this means items like edge of Knight or Zas will proc for your copies and if you want to be fancy you can combine this artifact with one of the new support items called unstable chest that grants three items once the holder dies one of the strongest combinations you can get in the early game is the trench code combined with diamond hands this will result in you farming a lot of gold every single round but since this needs two very specific artifacts it is a pretty rare combo to get as for units I heavily recommend putting the code on or or any especially in combination with protectors vow at least at the making of this video the copies will have the starting Mana of your unit and also take Mana items into consideration this means your on copies are more or less guaranteed to cast to print a bunch of bonus items and any's copies will gain bonus HP from their cast and stun everyone that gets hit udia is also a great late game Choice as the copies can't get bursted down and they will heal themsel back to full the copies aren't really weaker in terms of damage so they can dash out some pretty decent damage with the help of tiger strikes outside of specific units you can also put this artifact on any Behemoth or ghostly unit behemoths Grant the defensive buff to the closest Behemoth unit when they die which can be especially strong if you have the augment raid boss with ghostly units it is a bit more tricky as you want the copies to stay alive long enough for them to be able to spawn their own ghosts next let's go over one of the most controversial artifacts forbidden idle it grants 200 hp 25 armor and 25 Mr the holder converts 50% of The Shield value into max Health instead the effect sounds simple but players quickly figured out how to abuse this item to its maximum potential it didn't take long for screenshots to appear that showed Tam kench reaching HP values in the millions players usually achieve this by running a vertical Bruiser or Mythic setup with a double forbidden idle and an HP item the reason why this works so well with Tomkin is because his shield is based around his max HP and this creates a feedback loop between a larger shield and therefore more max HP from forbidden Idol with Trash to Treasure gone it will be much more difficult to create an Exodia setup around Tam kench but it's not completely out of reach he will still be very powerful in the mid game if you have a forbidden Idol and items like Dragon claw VMO or Redemption there are also some augments like inspired epit or crown guarded that work great in this setup so far I only talked about Tom but this item isn't really limited to only him I had great success with thresh in a faded setup and I can definitely see how this artifact is also a great choice for units like or Ila or rakan another controversial Edition is the Talisman of Ascension this new artifact grants 400 HP 20% ad0 and AP after 18 seconds the holder gains 100% Max health and 150% increase damage for the rest of combat this is probably one of the strongest artifacts in the game right now and you should always take it if you can in the early game it is extremely easy for units to survive long enough and if you put it on units like Yori that already have bonus HP from their ability they effectively become killable this becomes even more of an issue with hero augments besides yorck there is also Garen who gains more HP with every cast the biggest problem with this artifact is that you can stack it multiple times on the same unit a second Ascension profits of the bonus STS from the first Ascension and this quickly escalates to the point that you will automatically win the game it's a great choice for Tom kinch in combination with forbidden idle but you can also just place it on your Nar carry or any dry it or Bruiser unit in the late game it can be more difficult to keep your units alive long enough for the Ascension to proc which is why it can be a good idea to transfer it on a backliner or to go with a setup that traps your melee carry in the bottom right corner to ensure that they don't get taken out early into the fight overall this is currently a must Pig artifact that fits into every comp and will quickly help you to secure yourself a top four placement at this point you might think every new artifact is completely overpowered but I don't believe that's true for example I struggled a lot with getting any value out of unending despair it grants 400 HP and 40 armor and whenever a shield on the hold of breaks 100% of that Shield's initial value is dealt to the nearest enemy as magic damage initially the effect looks useful and there are quite a lot of units that are interested in this effect the prime examples seems to be Tomken thresh or rakan and Ela all of them can use the stats and they have a large shield in their kit so you can expect them to at least get some value out of this item another option would be to combine it with the augment Crown guarded for a large single Target burst against the Frontline unit but it feels like you are committing way too many resources for an effect that is not exactly game-changing unless someone develops a very powerful strategy with this artifact I would currently not recommend taking it as there are simply better choices available at the moment if you open the game with an artifact and you're looking to make a Tempo play Then line Shield Crest might be the right choice for you it grants 50 armor and 50 Mr and shields the lowest percent Health Ally for 50% of the holder's combined armor and Magic resistance if the holder dies this Shield is granted to all remaining allies the effect is quite simple and in theory works great in combination with items like stone plate or units with high defensive stats like melight thresh or Gallo it should always be a good choice for any Behemoth front line since you not only end up with a larger Shield but you also get more effective value out of it initially I thought thought this item could be interesting in combination with the suspicious trench code but this interaction appears to be bugged at the moment and you don't receive any Shields from the copies if this gets fixed it might become something worth aiming for but for the time being you should simply treat this artifact as a decent item to take along the way the same concept more or less applies to innovating locket it grants 150 HP 15 mana and it has two different effects the holder gains 2% of their total Mana whenever they're hit by an attack and each cast res stores 20% of the holder's max health over 3 seconds this is definitely meant as a Frontline item but it is still surprisingly flexible it doesn't really matter if the unit has low or high Mana if the unit has high Mana then the first effect is stronger and the unit is more likely to cast if the unit has low Mana for example Silas then you're more likely to upkeep the healing part throughout the entire fight I would say it's a pretty decent item to take as it has very good Synergy with units like or or any since they have a very high HP pool and want to cast as often as possible but there are some setups that can be quite broken in combination with this artifact it has great Synergy with other artifacts like forbidden idle or the Talisman of Ascension because they increase the max health of the holder potentially creating a feedback loop where the unit is able to out sustain any damage coming from the enemy team it's also an amazing choice for hero augments especially gar and yorik because you guessed it they gain a lot of HP throughout the fight and innovating locket will help to keep your carry the next artifact on the list will likely become a fan favorite because it is extremely fun to play and has a ton of synergies horizon Focus grants 250 HP 25 AP and 15 Mana if the holder stuns an enemy they take 30% of the max Health as magic damage obviously this item is great on any unit that has a lot of CC in their kit in early game you can isolate your rexi and later on put it on frontliners like Nautilus Annie or udia but this is a rather boring way to to use an artifact with this much potential so let's take a closer look at what's possible arguably the best unit for Horizon is Lux give her a Shogun and aino activate porcelain and you are effectively set for late game she will stand two units with every cast which in return deals a third of the enemy's Max HP which quickly puts her at the top of the damage charts a strategy that's a bit weaker is to utilize the tattoo of force you get a free stun with every Target swap which can work wonders in late game in combination with udia you can definitely create ridiculously powerful setups if you happen to find a suspicious trench cat as well but you would have to be very lucky to reach this board State one of my personal favorite strategies is to combine Horizon with eternal winter on an isolated unit like any not only will the any stun severely weaken the enemy front line you can also proc Horizon on every unit that gets stunned by Eternal winter there are also some reports that the magic damage from this artifact can critically strike with the help of the augment Lotus I tried other spell CR sources like Infinity Edge but for now it looks like only this augment is causing the bug if you ever spot a player running around with any of these combos you should prioritize CC immunity with augments like silver whale or items like qss because the magic damage only happens if the unit gets stunned one artifact that makes for a great combo with Horizon is called Silver Mar Dawn it grants 165% 0 50 armor and 50 magic resistance it also grants immunity to stuns and the holder attack stun the target for 0.8 seconds so far this item sounds absolutely busted but it has one important downside the holder's attack speed is locked at 0.5 it still offers the best counterplay against Exodia tanks like Tam kench if you combine it with Horizon Focus you now stun the target with every attack dealing a huge chunk of Max Health with every attack it doesn't matter if the enemy Tam Canen reaches High HP values because your damage simply scales with him outside of this specific combo it's usually a better idea to give it to a front line unit preferably with low Mana Kix is a great user for this item in the early game since he makes perfect use of the stats and most of his damage will come from his ability anyway Garen with his hero augment is also a great choice but one of my favorite users is malite his ability changes his attacks to hit in an AOE which is capable of stunning everyone who gets hit by the cone another unit that can work surprisingly well is Kane he makes great use out of the bonus STS and you can even go as far as giving him a second silver mare since you can't reduce the attack speed any further thanks to his AOE spin he remains very efficient with his attacks and it's definitely something worth trying at least once I'm pretty confident that pra's claw will easily become one of the most hated artifacts that ever existed because it is incredibly toxic in its design it grants 25% ad and 25% Critical Strike chance after killing a Target the holder sheds all negative effects and dashes to the farthest Target within four hexes the next two attacks have an additional 60% Critical Strike damage obviously the target units for this item are Reapers like Kix or cane but you can effectively give this to any melee carry the item appears to be straightforward but there are actually a lot of interesting details to uncover for starters the effect works somewhat similar to the Z kemot robotic arm from set 9 they are similar because the bonus effect in this case the additional critical stke damage can be utilized for abilities because the buff only gets consumed by Auto attacks if a unit manages to cast their ability after a kill but before they attack twice the entire cast will have the increased Critical Strike damage this can even be interesting for AP units I do have a zoraa build cooking in the background in combination with Mana Zan but honestly I'm not sure that strategy will ever work out two units I do want to highlight are Kane and aelia even if everything was working as a intended Kane would be the best unit for this item but right now there is a bug that makes him even stronger than intended after Kane transforms his attacks are changed into a spin that can hit adjacent units this spin currently does not count as an auto attack for PR's claw and therefore he will maintain the bonus Critical Strike damage for the rest of the fight this is a pretty nasty bug and if it's not fixed then you can expect players to use the Synergy to its full potential the same problem might honestly appear with with aelia because she doesn't have a normal attack either and is therefore in the same boat as Kane if you're a new player you're probably not aware of this fact but in set one each emblem had their own unique name and mittens was the name for the yal emblem Riot decided to revive this concept and like in set one it shrinks the unit size of the holder the artifact itself doesn't really have that much going on as it is just an extremely strong stat stick it grants 60% attack speed increased movement speed 20% damage reduction and IM Unity to chill this artifact is a very safe choice because it is very flexible for any melee carry dualist units like Kiana or Le are extremely small fans of this item if you ever get a game with tiny but deadly and three mittens on a single unit please send me a screenshot if you can still spot the unit on your board another artifact that works well with melee carries is the New Rapid Fire Cannon it grants 50% attack speed increases the attack range by one and adds another range whenever the holder kills an enemy RFC is a bit of a weird item because units in set 11 weren't designed with this item in mind there aren't really that many units in the game that get good value out of this item especially because it competes with snipers Focus which is often the better choice for most units there's also the problem that a lot of units don't function well if you increase their range a unit like Kix can still jump into melee range if the lowest HP unit is close enough and other units like Darius will straight up not use their ability unless an enemy walks into range all of this considered this limits the usefulness of this artifact to only a handful of units Vol bear oron definitely don't mind running an RFC since they will cast often and they don't bug out if they have a lot of range Leandra is also a potential user as she only has two range and she doesn't really mind chilling in the backline truth to be told I don't really think RFC will be an artifact worth taking in set 11 and it might end up gaining more relevance in the future in that one artifact that was on the wish list of a lot of older players is the corrupt vampiric scepter be Anda autochess one of the most popular items was the mask of Madness that granted attack speed life steal and silenced the holder there have been some units in the history of tftt where players were convinced that the units would legitimately be stronger if they didn't have an ability unfortunately proving this might be a bit hard because this artifact gives absolutely crazy stats it grants 50% attack speed and attacks deal an additional 50 attack damage as physical damage and heal the holder for the damage dealt the number one unit for this artifact is without a doubt Nar you don't really care that much about losing the bould toss and because he gains so much ad from his passive he just starts to hit like a truck while healing himself for crazy amounts outside of n you can also try giving this item to set since he gains a lot of ad from his passive but my favorite strategy is to combine this artifact with the golden remover consumable and cane in every fight you wait for Kane to transform into the shadow assassin and then you give him the vampiric scepter because the silence doesn't matter that much anymore with the golden remover you can repeat the strategy every fight and while it is a bit tedious it is strong enough to justify the effort in case you're wondering vampiric scepter works fine on aelia but unfortunately ride did fix the Vitality interaction which was probably the most interesting item combination to go for now I did say that Pras claw might be the most hated artifact but I can definitely ly see spectral cutless taking the title in the end it grants 40% 80 and 20% Critical Strike chance at Comet start the holder teleports to the mirro hex on the enemy side of the board and returns after 8 seconds to the original location this artifact will definitely be extremely controversial considering how easy it will be to snipe the enemy carries if you give this to someone like Kiana and position her in the middle of the last row she is now in perfect position to clean up the enemy backline before the 8secs are over other units like Lon are also extremely powerful as he has a very powerful single Target burst and he shouldn't have too much trouble sniping the enemy carry at the start of the fight Leandra is another recommended unit but with her you do have to be a bit careful if you sent her to the back line as a onear unit since the units teleport before combat begins and they will pull aggro and get focused down at the very beginning for the same reason Leandra is the perfect counterplay to this artifact you can simply position her in the back line and she will always prioritize the spectral unit and you should have no issues getting rid of this pido assassin if you want to be funny you can also try some setups with udia Yona or Trana that are based around them starting their old right when they teleport back to make sure that they return to the enemy backline right after they get ported back another good way to be funny is by using the artifact Fishbones it grants 30% ad and attack speed doubles the holders attack range and causes every attack to fire at a random enemy the first thought everyone had was to combine this with the tattoo of force but I'm sorry to say as far as I can tell this interaction doesn't seem to work nevertheless there are a lot of other strategies that are equally fun and worth aiming for by far the best use case for Fishbones is to give it to any sniper unit this ash for example has enough range to hit the entire board which means her attacks can reach the enemy backline and you get the full value out of the sniper trade this also works great in combination with red buff to spread the burn across the enemy team a more Uncommon approach is to try to make use of the targeting mechanic some units like Tristana Leandra zindra or AIA will cast on their current attack Target with the bonus range from Fishbones you can potentially create a setup that causes the ability to bypass the enemy front line and maybe even one-hot the enemy carry this is about as unreliable as it gets but it will all be worth it if you snack the enemy carry at the start of the fight besides mittens we have another reprint from set one with the cursed blade or maybe I should call it the cursed spoon because this item definitely doesn't have the same Edge as the original it grants 15% attack speed and 20 Mr reduces the max health of the Target by 3% with every attack and also reduces the Star level of the Target by one for every 13 attacks since this item is completely based around the amount of attacks this means we want this on someone that runs Gino's rage plade H I wonder who we could use yeah B is back and this is definitely one of his better items to destroy the enemy front line outside of Bard I don't think they are that many units that are really interested in this item and it definitely feels a lot weaker compared to some of the other artifacts right now I would probably recommend skipping this one unless you want to give this a try with bad rule for the next artifact I don't think there's that much to talk about Seas armgard is quite straightforward it grants 25 AP armor and mrr and an additional 10 for an assist or 15 for a takedown considering the stance it should work well on any AP tank like Silas any udia or even rakan in the early mid game it can also go on your carry it does give a pretty solid amount of stats and you can transfer it to the front line later one interaction that might become quite interesting is together with Shen Cary it is possible to find some success even if you don't have the hero augment and this item might be one of the key pieces to make the strategy work speaking of artifacts that don't really have that much going on let's cover blighting Jewel it grants 40 AP and every time the holder deals magic damage the opponent's Mr is reduced by five if the Mr hits zero then the poer gains 10 Mana instead it's a Teemo item I mean yeah in some cases Manana but let's be real here it's a Teo item I mean you could consider it on someone like zindra but then again you could just put it on teu because he is by far the best unit for this artifact something that is a lot more interesting to talk about is luden's Tempest it grants 30% ad and AP and 100% of Overkill damage plus an additional 100 damage is dealt to the three nearest enemies what's kind of cool is that this item can proc itself for a potential Snowball Effect the best use case is arguably very high single Target damage preferably in the back line so Caitlyn seems like a fairly good choice here if her ultimate hits the backline it can definitely look quite hilarious but the longer the game goes the more you can expect her ultimate to just sink into the enemy front line there are also some funny clips running around with a Koka three star his hero augment a Talisman of Ascension and a luden's tempest he can effectively Wipe Out the entire board in a single cast so this is definitely top tier meme material luden is definitely one of the most fun items we have right now and I can't wait to see what kind of strategies players will come up with while luden was a breath of fresh air there is yet another AP artifact that honestly doesn't do all that much Lich Bain is not a bad item by any means it grants 30 AP 15 mana and the first attack after casting deals magic damage that scales higher with each stage units like Kindred zindra or cogma seem like the more obvious choices because they cast a lot and have fairly short animations I would consider it more of a Tempo item and maybe like an alternative to ner too but I wouldn't expect any crazy builds to come out of this one the final artifact on the list is witsend and while this one seems ordinary at first glance it definitely packs a big punch it GRS 30% attack speed 30 Mr and each attack deals 42 additional magic damage the holder also heals for 35% of all magic damage dealt initially when I saw this item I was secretly hope P for an interaction with static shift but sadly it doesn't look like this one is working on the other hand this item is so strong that it doesn't really need any of these fancy interactions the prime user here is clearly Bard who gets a massive damage increase and will also heal himself for a very significant amount apparently the combination of hamist with witsend is supposed to be extremely strong but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to test this one yet wi sand is also worth trying in an ink Shadow setup and initially you can put the item on volibear and and then later on uder you should get pretty good value out of the item throughout the entire game this concludes this very long list of artifacts but I still believe there are a lot of strategies that remain hidden and I will cover everything that gets discovered in future videos I hope you learn something and see you next time
