what's going on guys my name is Wade with tech daily and in this video I'm going to give you my picks for the best Samsung phones to buy right now for under 300 and I gotta be honest some of these picks might surprise you now I've included both current 2022 devices and some previous years smartphones since there's a ton of value in getting quote unquote last year's devices Samsung phones depreciate like crazy and you can get what was a thousand dollar flagship phone for a fraction of the price and yes I also think all these phones are going to be great for the long term as well you can keep them for two or three years at least they'll get some software updates these are all great phones to have both right now and for the future I'll of course have links to all these phones Down Below in the video description so any deals discounts or special pricing that I mentioned I'll be sure to link to it so you can take advantage of it and actually in addition to snagging a great deal up we have what I consider to be the best current Samsung phone under 300 bucks and that would be the a33 5G you can grab this on Amazon right now for as low as 287 dollars and it is absolutely worth every penny in fact in my full review of this phone a couple of months ago I said you should probably get this phone instead of the higher up a 53 5G and here's why the display on this phone is a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED panel 2400 by 1080 resolution and it's a 90 Hertz display basically has that Trifecta of screen features and sure it's not 120 hertz but it's still better than a standard 60 hertz panel it's going to feel faster and more fluid with every touch and swipe and most importantly it's a bold bright colorful and sharp looking display there's not really any compromises there on top of that this phone is powered by the exynos 1280 processor which surprisingly is the same chipset as what's in the a53 5G so you aren't even getting less powerful or less capable device you can spec it with four six or eight gigs of RAM 128 or 256 gigs of onboard storage it does have a micro SD card slot it does have dual speakers it's powered by an extra large 5000 milliamp battery that charges up super quick via 25 watt power brick and the camera is around back the 48 megapixel main lens 8 megapixel Ultra wide 5 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth sensor all offer you great looking pictures and 4K video recording as well and all the shooting modes and features you could ever want for the money this is truly a well-rounded no compromises mid-range device that screams value at under 300 and like I said it's not even really any worse than the higher priced a53 5G if I could pick just one phone from this list to have right now this would be it with multiple years of major Android updates still to come on this phone I think this is a great long-term device as well next on the list is the best affordable Samsung device the a13 5G you can grab this phone for well under 150 right now all the major carriers and prepaid networks are are also offering it for crazy deals as well and I know there are some lesser a series phones below this one the various a03s the a13 4G but I think this a13 5G is as low as you should go and in saying that I should also clarify that this isn't some Bare Bones basic device that barely sends a text message this is a full-featured fully capable 5G smartphone with some extra perks and features to go with it in fact the 6.5 inch display on this thing is a 90 Hertz panel so that definitely makes the phone feel even faster the compromise here is that it's a 720p LCD display but I still think it looks pretty good it's quite a big display after all so you've got plenty of screen real estate to work with also inside is yet again an extra large 5000 milliamp battery so on a device like this with some less powerful specs could very well mean this is a two-day device for some folks who use their phone a little less it's powered by the mediatek demensity 700 chipset which actually is still a fairly current upper mid-range processor been updated to Android 13 already so it's current with its software updates and the main camera lens on this thing is a better than expected 50 megapixel shooter paired to a 2 megapixel macro lens and 2 megapixel depth sensor overall this is a phone that I think hits well above its price point I think you should absolutely avoid any a03s those phones are too cheap and too underpowered for the money but this a13 5G offers plenty to justify its price and I think it's a great device for the more casual smartphone user who doesn't need anything too over the top now if you'd rather have a flagship device with all the top tier features and specs there are actually quite a few sub 300 options out there the first shockingly is the S21 yes the flagship phone from barely two years ago you can snag a renewed S21 on Amazon right now for 287 dollars and do not be afraid of Amazon's renewed devices they are freshly refurbished fully functional smartphones and are sometimes some of the best deals out there so this to me is the epitome of Samsung's depreciation curse this is a phone that retailed for eight hundred dollars and now sells for like 65 off by comparison Apple's iPhone 13s still sell for 600 at least aside from just being the flagship smartphone the S21 isn't really that different compared to the current s22 we've got the same Dynamic AMOLED display 1080 by 2400 resolution 120 hertz it's a flagship viewing experience in every sense the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset which let's be honest isn't that much worse than the Gen 8 from this year performance has really stopped being a factor on Flagship smartphones last few years at least in my opinion you wouldn't be able to tell a difference in everyday use and you're still going to get a couple more years of major Android updates anyway with the new one UI features so the phone will continue to feel current I guess the features you kind of miss out on are the upgraded cameras but honestly yes 21 was one of the best picture and video takers of last year and it's still so probably a top 10 device even compared to some 2022 smartphones if you have a phone from like four or five years ago and don't want to Shell out four figures for the latest and greatest this is what you should get Instead This is what I mean by getting last year's device at a discount the S21 may very well be the best deal on this list and I think moving forward buying the previous year's device at a steep discount might be something more and more people take advantage of if you're a fan of the stylus and are okay going back one more year the note 20 is now under 300 via Amazon renewed as well and I know this might feel a little too old but keep in mind this launched in the fall of 2020. so it just crossed the two-year Mark and I think this phone still has a lot of life left in it the note 20 has 80 or 90 of what today's Samsung flagships have a similar Super AMOLED plus display 2400 by 1080 resolution no high refresh rate which is a bummer but visually it's a beautiful look looking screen for all your content consumption it's powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G plus processor and 8 gigs of RAM which is not that far off from today's internals the phone is still plenty powerful and it does have the Android 13 and one UI 5 update again with how fast camera Tech has evolved you might miss out on the crazy new features that Samsung keeps bringing to their current devices but this phone has a 64 megapixel telephoto lens for some crazy zoom capabilities and plenty of other over-the-top camera features itself like 8K video recording obviously the selling point for this phone is the fact that it's a note device so you get all the features of the S Pen which hasn't even changed that much on the current stylus phones like the S Ultras and note 22. the writing the apps the add-ons it's all pretty much the same and keep in mind this was a thousand dollar device when it launched for 285 bucks this is now a fraction of the original price but it's just as good as anything you would buy today and far better than any other new 300 device for sure yes you won't be getting any more major Android updates so the lifespan of this phone isn't as long as some of the current devices but for what this phone offers I can certainly look past that and you'll likely get at least another couple of years of good use out of the phone anyway and you didn't have to pay a four figure price tag to get it the next phone on the list holds a special place in my heart it's the s20 Fe and yes this is another phone that's a little older but it's Fallen all the way down to nearly two hundred dollars but even if you bought it today and held onto it for another couple of years I think it's well worth it this was and still is the best device Samsung ever launched it was a flagship spec phone for a more palatable price and I believe it basically killed their Flagship S21 with this phone on the market there was no reason to pay a thousand bucks for the flagship this phone had almost everything a 6.5 inch 2400 by 1080 resolution Super AMOLED display at 120 hertz a flagship screen from start to finish it's powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset which was the current high-end Android processor at the time got a six or eight gigs of RAM 128 or 256 gigs of storage with an SD card slot with stereo speakers with an in-display fingerprint sensor it was powered by a 4 500 milliamp battery 25 watt wired fast charging 15 watt wireless charging reverse wireless charging and as good of a camera setup as the flagship S21 and on top of all that it came in a bunch of fun colors too comparatively this phone had almost all of what Samsung had offered on the flagship version and everyone realized that it made no sense to pay more I know you guys won't get too many more software updates on this phone but it's upgradable to Android 13 and one ui5 which means it still feels relatively current for now and I think even over the next two or three years this is a phone that will remain a great buy last but not least we have what's probably the best a series phone that's been launched so far the A52 5G this phone came out in the spring of 2021 and in my opinion it truly catapulted Samsung's Upper A series phones into being some of the best all-around value Android devices that money can buy now you can snag this phone for a bit above 200 bucks and at that price you're still getting a device that Rivals even some Flagship phones seriously the 6.5 inch screen on the A52 is a Super AMOLED 120 hertz High refresh rate display at the full 2400 by 1080 resolution those Core specs are what you get today on some 800 or 900 flagships powered by the Snapdragon 750g 5G chipset which is barely a step down from a top tier 800 series Snapdragon it's got a 4 500 milliamp battery with 25 watt wired fast charging in-display fingerprint sensor dual speakers a headphone jack and the cameras around back especially the 64 megapixel main lens and 12 megapixel ultrawide shoot some really good pictures this was one of my favorite devices from 2021 and I still think it's a great buy as we head into 2023. the downside with this phone is that it doesn't seem to be getting any more major updates which is a shame but I expect it's because if Samsung kept supporting this phone people would still be buying it and there'd be no reason to get anything new spec wise it still competes today and if you don't care as much about software updates but still want an upper mid-range smartphone this is a really solid option to consider so there you go those are my picks for some of the best Samsung devices you can buy right now for under 300 I hope this was a good enough mix of current devices and older devices it's really pretty crazy what you can get for cheap nowadays and there are obviously plenty more deals out there so let me know what you'd buy for under 300 maybe there's a really good phone that I missed but hopefully you guys did enjoy this video be sure to follow Tech daily on Twitter and
