The Best Maui Take-Out Restaurants During COVID-19 | Support Local Businesses and Eat Good Food

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] all right so you may be on Maui during code 19 maybe you're here on vacation maybe right here before the quarantine happened that doesn't mean you need to eat terrible food while you're here so we have a lineup of our favorite local restaurants that are following safety protocols that are doing takeout during this Kovach crisis yep which is great it's been so nice using them because if we get kind of tired of cooking every single night so it's been really nice but then also to like Cobra this pandemics not going away overnight so we can just see these things going on for a while all right take out when Y opens up again you probably still do take out during your vacation so I'm Erica and I'm Jordan we're from the boy a vacation guide and this video is all about the great restaurants that are still doing take out during kovin 18 and how you can support small businesses while you're here well China has a ton of restaurants and it's it's a hub for eating but right now most of them are shutters just like everywhere else it is I'm surprised how many are shuttered yeah it's a completely closed mostly on Front Street to which ghosts yeah which you're curious it's like are they owned by big corporations or is this not worth them for you to take out but a lot of the local restaurants the ones we know are locally owned or having great takeout right now they're so first one down the hatch oh yeah classic yeah so this is in the wharf Street cinema complex right across from Banyan Tree easy to find easy to find yeah they've been open since day one and they got big signs up like support local and it's a nice little easy walk off dull and it's just a great place to go yeah doors grab your seafood yeah yeah it's like fried seafood it's um low southern in Hawaiian Asian fusion so it's really good nice great nice refreshing place to go yeah it's delicious sandwich good-looking fries I'm mr. happy hour they have like the happiest happy hour in town and in that same area you have Tiki Tiki ty mm-hmm and you have the saikhan 808 so Italy's anti so yeah and they're just passed down the hatch but right in that same Wharf cinema complex really nice yeah yeah in this nice - they do all the good safety procedures are wearing the masks in there they have like I love when they give you free hand sanitizer because it's hard to find right now yeah and those were just great local eateries you can't go wrong with Thai or that means yeah exactly yeah [Music] [Music] mocha routes there we go yeah it's a super fresh organic produce like even they can't even like rent a tin from them which I don't know how they're doing that we're gonna though yeah not during this time so they're actually doing a handheld menu so everything is wrapped in banana leaves Wow hey guys these girls we're heading we're heading there for lunch today so we'll get some video of that because it's pretty cool [Music] and then well my favorites I'll just be preaching about Maui food trucks forever but Lahaina food truck park and it's right on wide street I know how to pronounce our right by RI by the Catholic Church it is a great food truck park has all these great local guys in there it's got Mexican food it's more of a breakfast and lunch place where I go any further more breakfast and lunch it closes down at dinner too we got great Filipino food there too it's one of our favorites we go there all the time great breakfast tacos bring ya a talk where he eats chili goose is Austin couple they're a lot of fun it's brother and sister actually and they run it they're a lot of fun there's a Catholic Church Russ Meyer mountains look for this side and it's right inside just slow parking lot right here so here you got sushi Japanese Tucker eats for Mexican burritos ground mornin you got Filipino cuisine a DJ boy that's loco moco on an island in my opinion you know sup Mexican food and then you also have the sciples alright so moving on from line cuz that's plenty if you are on the west side that's a lot of food options for you alright so moving it down to Kihei yeah to South Maui ka-kah Wailea area we have our favorite food truck park this is our face it really is yeah here we are this is the key a food truck park behind the second shopping center this place is legit a lot of these guys are starting to open up second food trucks around the island so is it nice one to check out this also gets really popular by locals at dinnertime which to me means like you know is this legit place to go this is like with the real deal he's really good whenever we're down there we always stop there but we got crack and coffee which is absolutely one of our favorites and now they have to crack coffees once I've become but they're always super friendly there it's your amazing coffee especially iced coffee yeah let's ice about food truck park is there something for everybody and it's perfect during Kobe 19 because it's already takeout right it's already there for you so it's easy to drive up it feel very safe they're doing all the right safety procedures they're wiping down everything in between custom even the square machine right they wipe it all down so it feels really good over there it's comfortable what are you gonna do all right the other place in Kiev ah swanky hey we have the kitchen which there's also a location in Kahului but the kitchen it's a you know you're kind of more local food so you'll get plate lunches blankly eat your mac salad to scoop your ice yeah that's my favorite but what I love is they're doing family boxes right now for a limited time so I think it's $37 feet for family of four and you get your entrees I think you get to Andres you get sides you get so it's really a good option and then pay you a fish company same famous places places I've spread all over spread out all over the island oh yeah so they have three locations on Maui the Lahaina one isn't open but Pia and Kihei are currently open and accepting online orders and so that is a great place to go this is good classic fish sandwiches but it's a big piece of fish you know they have fish plates also but the fish sandwiches or whether or not really good really nice yeah all right but then hopping over it to pay yeah yeah continue that up on the North Shore the historical town of pee yeah really cute some great options there for you again the Paia fish company fantastic definitely go there right on the corner you can't go wrong um and then you also have choice so this is more of a healthy place they have delicious acai bowls readable I think it's all either vegetarian or vegan yeah you begin the please always full of all the locals especially all the people doing yoga or going there afterwards yeah it's always a fun vibe it is siliceous yeah and then flatbread companies so what I love about them so you're gonna get flatbread pizzas and what I love about them is they're very upfront about what they are doing to protect the community and to protect their employees so they have wellness meetings what they check in with their employees every day yeah yeah they don't except walk in order so you do have to order online or over the phone just a minute contact and you pay over the phone or online so that you don't have to actually you know it's so gross out with that now yeah yeah we used to live in England is all touchless so now I'm not even using the keypad at all it's little things like that but yeah but those are great options and you are up on pi yep and also just a reminder if you're heading to the airport or if you find yourself in Kahului the Kahului food truck park we love food trucks Tod there's two in Kahului no one is off dairy road but more famous one is Costco it's right across from the Casco gas station all right here we are the Costco food park is probably the best food park and on a Maui for multiple reasons one is that there's like a word winning food trucks here like tie me up who is the sous chef of Mama's Fish House he has a new one - that's top and yaki and that's our best thing about this place is that it's really close to Costco but it's also close to the airport so it's a perfect place to go to get food right before your flight where do you go I say ball Costco food truck park pretty much everything's open 70% of things are open here we've got this glorious I'm sorry ball and Honolulu food truck park is drive-through only but it looks like they're totally open to supporting all the local businesses with a food truck park because you don't get more local than food trucks cross okay I even used Himalayan salt my seasonings yeah this is actually organic greens okay this is your face show you know this is the guy I'm service you can cut price okay for those of you oh yeah that's really good yeah what's the deal well the last time you ever hit that price nuclear ago no no I won that's for sure oh my gosh okay [Music] this is my organic the Dickie sauce with the recipe of my mom's oven so it's everything from scratch no iron crop [Music] this is organic semolina Greek Doron and Salina flour cases during sex earlier Hannah are you gonna be the best the best summers you have near Molly so those are all the places that are open right now during kovin 18 they're all locally owned small businesses that are great to support and they are following safety protocols so and you're guaranteed a good meal right that's the biggest thing you don't want to like go out of your house and get a bad meal yeah so
