The BEST Kayak “milk crate” ever?!

what is going on guys welcome back to another video I'm actually just leaving the post office I just shipped out probably one of the last couple Jaya bait shirts if you guys are familiar with the job eight shirts I actually partnered with some artists than to some of the Japanese artwork called gu Taku I took their prints put them on a shirt chasing a bait put a play on words call them Jo bait shirts I'm actually going to head over to my printer as I have a new batch of shirts coming in three different designs so I'm really excited about that change things up a little bit for the better I think so I'm gonna go over there and just make sure that the first couple shirts come out okay the colors are right so by the time this video launches shirts should be available so I will put a link in the description below today is actually a Tuesday morning and I've been fishing the Delta a lot which is fine the love fish in the Delta but I kind of got a you know just a urge to go out fish a lake so tonight we're gonna be heading out to Lake Comanche haven't been to Lake Comanche in a couple months just to give you guys a little bit of information on Lake Comanche there was a 15 pounder card out of there earlier this year there's Giants in there for whatever reason I can never get on big fish there I catch numbers but I just can't get big ones that is the plan today I've got a lot to do before I head off so let's do this what does perfectly even such a thing we switch rules and imagine our utopia so fed up with vexation safeway me well we made it guys I had a lot of stuff to do this morning and it took me a lot longer than I thought but it all is done now and we finally arrived here at Lake Comanche got a nice campsite here truck camping life shall begin region waiting for Alden you guys know Alden and Hertz two guys are showing up after they get out of work we're gonna take the boats out tonight and do some fishing boats yeah set up got the kayak here another nice little addition that I've got for the truck camping life it's got the 25 court Orion cooler little specialty cuz I've actually got two back in New York they're amazing coolers just super high quality keeps ice forever and as we can see I've got the essentials in here I did a little meal prep for tonight and for tomorrow just some turkey wraps turkey cheese mustard hot sauce pretty simple plan on fishing all tomorrow so I'm definitely need food and chicken for later tonight beer cheese I mean pretty much all you need that man Oh short I don't think I've ever seen you wear you sure no Catholic if you guys pay attention you'll know that this is a little different than what you're used to seeing Alden it I like it for some reason I can't tell why I like it I do like it smooth I know jorts well I saw myself in them here the other day and my upper body didn't match my lower body there was just a like three shades difference well looks good man definitely fish here they're moving [Music] well all the NIR unto our next spot no dice first spot we got we saw some fish but no takers Alden and I are still vast lists at though both had a bite might felt like a real day cheers buddy all these finally got us a fish took us a long time all right I give up not meant to be steamed what guys are here while we tried to get fancy and take a little detour and cross an island and didn't really work out - the island was actually had more land than we anticipated so we didn't cross it and now we're going back Wow the island the waves have picked up and yeah too wet right we can see Lawrence in the distance because he's got the UFO lights him read it back the wind picked up and down back there is mr. Simms what's going on man so is it tough out there for you too yeah yeah it was tough for me I got zero I had one but I lost it we're killing it on Comanche okay so that video did not go as plan I thought I'd be catching fish and showing you guys some top water and some night fishing and yeah that pretty much didn't happen instead of having the shortest video ever I thought I'd add a little bit more content and something that a lot of you guys have asked about the tackle trunk this is the new I guess black pack for my kayak by new storage rod holder system for my kayak and I've been getting a lot of questions a lot of messages about it but basically I will link this box in the description it doesn't come like this this is a custom box that I actually didn't even make it was the wizard who made it but I will link the box that he used to make this in the description as well as a parts list but let me show you guys exactly what is in the tackle trunk how its set up and why it is a definite game changer for kayak fishing so hopefully you can see that but that is the tackle trunk it's a case cruiser box and the whole reason for getting this and doing this custom box was yeah I'd love to black pack the black pack was great but I wanted something bigger I wanted something that could hold more storage for batteries and stuff like that the big problem that I was finding when setting up and taking down my kayak is most of you know my kayak is completely bare I don't have a garage it's not set up I don't have a trailer the kayak travels completely bare so when I get to the launch I'll have to put everything on it when I finish fishing everything has to come off so I wanted to make that whole process easier and quicker and before I had the black pack that I'd have batteries that I'd have like my launch then I'd have water plastic but yeah I mean just miscellaneous things that would take time to set up but with this I was able to put all those things into one and here's what we have it's kind of talking about this this box this is a really high quality box ice clips right here you just pull on and then we push them down to lock them in place just really sturdy handles on each side as well as the front handle handle so let's first talk about the outside of the box we have USB port up here actually have a couple and then a cigarette lighter port down here we have this on/off switch right there got a voltmeter so on the side we have another couple USB ports and then we have a fish finder port so my fish finder plugs in right there and this was really important to me to have just easy plug-and-play options for my electronics I mean I'm running obviously my fish finder on the side and then the USB port is for a GoPro that I obviously have on this Scottie locking them out and that can basically run all day without me having to mess with it so it's just convenient and then up here I use these for charging my phone which definitely comes in handy before we go inside the other side of this box actually has ports to my torpedo so this one goes to the motor the electric motor and then this goes to the throttle control so it's all plug and play super easy saves me a lot of time setting up my kayak and taking it down so let's get into the box again I really like these latches they're just solid you know you have confidence that I'm for sure so that's the inside of the box right there just talking about all those electronics well here's our batteries that go to those electronics got our torpedo battery right here we've got our I think that's a 20 volt lithium battery got a fuse box here pops right off and we've got everything labeled here if refuses fishfinder etc the nice thing about these batteries too is for charging I just bring the box in with me there's the torque Ito charging port and then over here that's how I charge my lithium-ion battery for fishfinder gopro etc you know my black pack like I said was very nice but I definitely knew I needed more storage option because I mean the thing was just jam-packed here you know it's full but it's not like you know bursting through the seams here everything is in there that I need but it's also you know easy to reach I'm not digging through things and I like to keep things in transport too so this box comes into the house with me for sure for charging and then just to you know keep some of my electronics safe and secure like my fish finder I'll keep that in there this is actually my transducer and my hookup to the fish finder got my boxes in here you know these will change depending on where I'm fishing chatter baits frogs going up to Clear Lake next week so we've got some a rigs got a crank bait box there's some deeper diving cranks in there this box is just kind of a miscellaneous tools box we've got you know cell phone charger in there I've got some mended we got some gorilla glue some extra batteries if portrayer chance that my USB fail over here we could always use a cigarette lighter port and now we've got two more USBs there's a headlamp in here for those early mornings late nights just to sort through the box you might add some lighting here I don't know we'll see then we have all my soft plastics which you guys if you follow channel you know I'm pretty simple with my soft plastics there's not a whole lot I use so I have my main soft plastics in there and then in the front hatch of my kayak is my extra plastics and then in the back we've got rod holders we've had to use these bars with gear tracks on them just to allow us to have some space between the box and the rod holders so that this lid would come up all the way the ones on the ends are angled so that the lid again could go in the upright position all the way and actually the nice thing about this lid is when you flip it up it locks in place pretty good I mean it's got like that little two to three inch section where it's not going back down unless you actually apply some pressure turn you back on so on the beginning of the video one of the actual main reasons I wanted this box was because it had wheels and a telescoping handle from the bottom all the other boxes that I you know found on your saw at Home Depot or Lowe's all the handles were coming up from the back which was getting in the way of the rod holders so this one has the handle on the bottom and it's easy to carve to and from the truck I mean this thing is pretty heavy so you don't want to be carrying this and with the roller wheels it's a piece of cake yeah that is the video guys for today I apologize there wasn't any fish catches in there kind of rare for me to post a video without fish catches but like I always say I show you everything that I do when I'm out in the water I show you every trip I always film every trip fishing and I gotta be real with you guys sometimes it just doesn't happen for me yeah guys that's the video for today as always thank you guys for
