this is Tim and happy holidays it's always Christmas in Manila and I got a chance to spend a wonderful day in Manila with good friend Michelle where we went to explore the main streets of Manila went driving around did a little bit of shopping Through The Rustic stores and also a little bit of eating this is the Tokyo district and we found this wonderful place where we had a wonderful lunch and some beers and please that for was on purpose I think that's the Japanese style of pouring beer lots of foam that's my story and I'm sticking to it but really great food and fantastic folks from Mary and Jenny with Dish after dish of goodness mackerel Sashimi wagyu beef and plates and plates of fantastic food made by wonderful chefs in the kitchen really nice to see but I think all that food was too much for Michelle because she's resting up at home so tonight it's just you and me and we get to explore and I'm really grateful because the other day I was at the okada Manila medley Buffet great out the the pristiness of the buffet and uh I think we're just in line hi Elaine how are you oh very good thank you this is the first time in French okay and we also have a wide variety of desserts and salad on the side this will be your table because my table fine with you oh this is perfect for one person all right thank you my goodness the uh casinos and the buffets just keep getting better and better I had a chance to check out the buffet coming down the hallway and it looks spectacular I couldn't see the lobsters but I can't wait to check it out and a beautiful table from Mary Elaine and let me show you this room it is spectacular beautiful room here wavy lines and this is the garden section of the dining room uh you can see all the flowers and plants and for the back you can see the waterfalls so pretty spectacular here and this isn't just a buffet you can get your own food but they can also bring it to you and looking at my table number 82 they indicated that they can bring all the delicious goodies to you Lobster and black beans steamed garlic Lobster deep fried Lobster lots of claws Lobster linguine so they weren't kidding when they were talking about Lobster there is a lot of lobster here and oh I see a drink here oh what a way to start the buffet it cheers oh very nice and smooth now I have to decide shall we take a walk or shall we just order I think let's check it out let's go for a walk come on all right so this place is filling up pretty quickly and I don't blame people for coming because all that Lobster but let's take a look at the stations and I see uh there is quite a lot to choose from so this is a corridor of all the food stations cheeses and meats I think this is the cheese station and down there I see some desserts some Asian Chinese Filipino Classics some seafood which is where I'm after and take a look at all the hard-working Folks at the back so just walking down here it is like a Buffet of Buffets or a buffet of stations wonderful fresh seafood a little bit of the desserts uh and coming up a Chinese station I think we're doing some reconnaissance here we have the Filipino Classics so this is cool so I'm just heading out the corridor oh and Seafood all the hard-working Folks at the back so that's just the uh one of the corridors and we have a whole hallway look at the flames and the crispy lechon the heavy plates really large plates which is kind of cool and then some roasts finally we head to the uh to the salad or the Italian station all right and we end with the Japanese station oh and no we end with the beverage station the most important station so really grateful that I have my uh Chardonnay already and I think we can start with some of the food we've got the rolls the veggie for health California spicy salmon uromaki fish Maki oh and look at the salmon and the octopus hey Jimson how many rolls are you making a day must be thousands oh oh thank you oh that's beautiful thank you so much a little bit of soy sauce and a wonderful calamansi okay and we have more so this is teriyaki Japanese Curry baked salmon and some beef tenderloin so I'm going to be here for a while and uh it's an absolute pleasure oh some Italians hey there oh beautiful butter so we've got some pastas oh pizzas some breads oh this is really nice beautiful pizza with some Parma ham chicken parmesan and a fish stew and I just missed this I think they actually make things fresh uh to order so I didn't realize this but every station has a lobster offering hey I did not realize that every station you can cook Lobster fresh yes sir [Music] what's your favorite Lobster dish I wouldn't mind ordering one um spaghetti the creamy corn oh really oh let's do the quick let's do the lobster and spaghetti with cream okay 82. thank you so much Faith oh all right wonderful so this is really cool I don't need to carry so many plates around I take what I want and uh for things that are too hard to carry they bring it to you and we have the Western station so I'm gonna head back uh but I think I'm gonna start off with some cold dishes and I can't wait for Faith to bring the uh spaghetti and lobster but look at this so again these are the salad stations that I really like not too many veggies but lots of cheese and meat and I'm not sure if you can see at the back there is a whole Parma ham and I'm not sure if you get it yourself or they get it for you let's find out how are you oh so do we get our own food or do you get it for us uh how do you get it for people oh thank you so much oh can I get some ham and meats and cheese ah we're going to prepare it's like oh thank you so much uh 82. so maybe not too much bread but if you have the Parma ham and the bread crisp that looks really good all right thank you well this is pretty good I thought I was gonna have to do all the work myself all right so really cool I was told that I can grab these myself salmon terrine beef terrine oh seasig and then some portering chicken terrine so many terrines and I think this is some type of mousse uh bangus moose let's go for one of these and this one I'm not sure what it is and I think there's only one way to find out so I think I'm gonna go for a beef salad in a jar I'm looking at my mediocre plate here and I'm seeing what's on the table so round one was a little bit chaotic in the best possible way I wasn't really sure how to navigate the food they just do everything for you you get to pick and choose and you can also select the dishes yourself but I must say they did a much better job this is my plate very mediocre you can tell that I put it together but this is the professionals with a wonderful terrain of meats and uh oh my God look at the lobsters and of course our cold plate uh wonderful hams and Kingfish and cheeses and a little bit of bread just to act as a garnish I think I can't wait to give this a try I'm just gonna open this up see what they have okay some type of uh that was a beef salad and this is under plastic the bangas let's give that a try all right a little bit of this not sure what it is but one way to find out um it's a smoked fish and I think we need a little bit of the bread it's a bit dry just needs a little bit of crunch from the bread fill it up try the roast beef salad in a jar a little bit of cream I must tell you there are salad stations are second to none I finished that in one bite nothing left oh thank you so much so I know you guys at home are probably dying eat the hot Lobster first and avoid this cold dishes and I think you're right I was just kind of teasing so we've got the hot Lobster here and uh really grateful we've got the lobster pasta I think I'm gonna try the pasta first this requires a spoon and a fork and oh this is freshly made I think this is the shell and that's a lobster let's give this a try I can tell the pasta is wonderfully to the tooth or al dante I guess they call it hmm that is wonderfully comforting nice and creamy chunks of lobster meat and we'll definitely go for the claw full of cream thank you not Claw is perfectly cooked nice and plump and juicy and uh absolutely tender I'm gonna give this a try oh not tough cooked to perfection incredible oh I think I'm gonna have to try the cheese creamy lobster oh switch it around can't wait to dig in oh my goodness and it just comes out effortlessly again perfectly cooked just comes out of the shell creamy and succulent and the sauce perfectly balanced the sweetness of the lobster oh and this is fantastic all the lobsters you want no standing in line they come to you fresh this is cooling down because I was busy pouring the buffet I should have just sat back and enjoy this and I think I will and I think I'm going to give those terrines a try let's see I think this is a chicken terrine a little bit of sauce very well balanced but really concerned that I'm going to be filled up with all this good food when there's so much Lobster around though I think I'm gonna finish this round and we'll take it back oh round one was impressive lots to choose from from the lobster to start that off first and wonderful Auntie pastas the Fantastic Parma ham with the kingfish I had to combine everything because it was just impossible to finish everything on its own that salmon sushi delectable and I normally would get that but there's too many other good food but that salmon terrine is something else definitely go for that and the lobsters and speaking of which I think we're gonna get some more lobsters and some hot food come on let's go thank you so after all this food fitting in through this narrow opening is becoming harder and harder that we made it through and let's see what's in for round two all right so we're heading to the hot food station and I did wise up I ordered a lot of seafood dishes a lot of lobster dishes from Joseph but let's take a look while he's preparing all that for the table let's see what we have so these here are self-serve these are veggie dumplings and I think we'll leave those alone Malay cupcakes very nice oh and a spiral hypnotic Ube bun and let's see now here comes the hot food all right Szechuan chicken and this is some beef wonderful beef with some mushroom and oyster sauce oh braised pork I think we're gonna go for a little bit of this okay and let's make Uncle Roger proud some fried rice oh thank you so much all right oh they look perfect the egg is coating the rice wonderfully hey Andrew how are you I'm in Grayson oh what is this oh laksa soup and Superior soup oh I can't say no to a good laksa uh can I get Alexa soup all right 82. thank you so much oh I can't wait and this is really cool uh again I don't have to get the food on my own it comes to you oh and spring rolls so we've got wonderful spring rolls some deep fried fish I think this is a bangus and hot dogs jalapeno salad which is uh orange and some langanisa pork chops and a little fried fish I think those spring rolls are calling to me can I get a spring roll oh thank you oh thank you and moving on it's got some fried rice uh this is chicken a la king and these are the Filipino favorites and I think this is a ginagang a kind of a stew and uh some wonderful fatty Meats let's take a look at that and I think we're just gonna take a look but not touch just because there's so much and rounding the corner so this is a Korean station kimchi fried rice oh the wonderful Seafood pancakes okay so this is some I think this is pork and then this is more pork but fatty pork I was gonna skip this but I don't think I can go for one of these next to the fried rice and there's a reason for the fried rice because I got a lobster dish that calls for it and I can't wait to show you what that dish is but let's see what we have here the seafood station one of the favorite stations amongst many all right let's see okay grilled tuna normally I'd go for that not when there's Lobster all right oh what is this oh really good if there wasn't Lobster I would be right on that but this is yeah thank you anything else for you oh thank you so much all right and then this is a wonderful chili crab oh my goodness more Lobster wow I don't think I can resist can I go for one of course this morning is good all right oh just one or well maybe two actually you know it just one is good enough I I yeah thank you so much we're back to this wonderful display case and all the fresh food oh and more all right so moving on some Western comfort food oh nice to see you again what is this oh you like something tomato soup oh I think I'm okay for now can I get an Lobster powder yes of course I do have it okay uh 82 82 yeah yeah I'll just give it to you today oh thank you so much no problems for anything else oh I think they were good thank you so let's see what else we have okay salisbury steak and okay wow and this is chicken roulette so this is crazy you're looking at the dishes and you hear Lobster this and lobster that and lo and behold we have lobster tempura I think we'll go for one of these can I just grab it all right so this is crazy this is like Lobstermania and as good as the dishes are they're really considered garnish uh for the lobster oh except this we have the classic Filipino barbecue station oh I think this is the lechon and look at all those crispy goodness hey Daryl there's so much Lobster here and usually that's my first choice but that uh that roasted uh oh all right yeah that roasted pork looks so amazing can I get some lechon oh thank you oh and thank you for the crispy skin would you like to hear something oh a little bit of saucer would be good thank you sure that is a crispy lechon from Daryl and then this is kind of the Luscious wonderful meat on the inside oh no and this is a bonus thank you so much Daryl thank you so this is crazy uh oh some roasted Meats wow what is this oh roasted beef brisket whoa can I order one oh thank you uh 82. oh and so this is the beef brisket that the chefs are grilling up really amazing but the beautiful flames and these are the accompaniments some chicken some potato some carrots and I think we toured all the buffet I think I need to head back to the table and this is just one of the many dishes so I am in so much trouble and this is a wonderful trouble to be in look at all this oh hi oh there's more oh my goodness thank you so much wow can I have a new table no this is wonderful thank you so much all right thanks Joanne oh thank you all right so the trouble continues with the lobster Chowder the law of sir laksa and this is why I got the rice this is the lobster Kerry Kerry wonderful way to make kerikeri and then the brisket which uh Joanne brought in afterwards and this is lobster some more Lobster hand roll and this is the dish I got myself as you can see not very well plated we've got the lobster tempura and then deep fried Lobster with chips finally some more Lobster and the lechon they really weren't joking around when it's all you can eat lobster it's all you can eat lobster and then some but I gotta try that soup all right let's move that over here okay and again chunks of lobster rich and creamy with succulent chunks of lobster not overcooked perfectly tender I'm gonna try that garlic bread perfectly crunchy and oily into the chowder mmm garlic bread or garlic Crouton never tasted so good [Music] and speaking of dip I think I'm gonna try that spring roll not bad nice spelling crunchy Crush but I think a little bit of the soup would make it much better and it does I'm gonna try the lobster hand roll plated wonderfully well I think this is a lumpia and that's fresh ly made all right a little bit messy and lots of fun [Music] very nice and I know I shouldn't be letting that laksa wait give that a try all right I think I need a little bit of Chopsticks but I don't think we can wait a fork will do just fine oh look at this wonderful noodles Rich creamy broth think these are egg noodles oh and some nice fatty pork again really nasty but oh that pork is so tender it's like when you have that perfect piece of brisket where there's layers of fat and meat that just perfectly gelatinized this is it hmm make sure you get the laksa as well as the lobster as well as everything else very nice gotta try that brisket now because a brisket and the laksa is just so good let's give this one and try if it's any indication when I think it is this would be superb all right let's assemble them oh my goodness this yes this is luscious and just peels away you know what I don't need the knife let's do it Filipino style because this is why we can cut that wonderful biscuit with the spoon and with the spoon a little bit of peppercorn sauce it tastes just as it looks melts in your mouth tenderness and I think we're gonna make the perfect bite a little bit of sauce a little bit of potatoes on the spoon uh we'll skip the veggies let's give this a try oh so get the laksha get the lobster and by all means I'm getting the brisket with the potatoes I think those are truffle potatoes oh can't get better than this but I could be wrong because we have this coming next this is the carry carry and I think this is the bagong I think I pronounced it correctly let's give it a try lots of seafood the peanut sauce and this is the reason I got the rice a little bit of bagong or a lot no maybe a little I think that that little bit will do it on the lobster oh and with that all is right with the world beautiful Lobster nice and succulent and that fried rice is cooked to Perfection with the egg wrapping each individual grain of rice and the bag around kicks It Off wow so I think I'm gonna finish this off and uh I'm gonna grab that nice return skin very nice and again I'll continue finishing this off because there's more desserts to come so many lobsters so many dishes oh and I forgot to mention this is like 3 000 pesos which is a little over 3000 pesos which is like 50 60 uh for this wonderful buffet in fact I think this is probably one of the best buffets I've had every anywhere certainly tops Vegas although I wouldn't mind trying to find out for sure but uh superb probably and I think it is the best lobster buffet I've been to I guess in the world so far I'm gonna finish this really quickly and let's go back for dessert cheers back through these Halls again and uh it's a heart getting harder and harder to fit if you never tried a deep fried Lobster you gotta go give it a try nice and crispy on the outside and tender and succulent on the inside and the tempura was just as good but now let's get back to business let's go for the desserts wow and this is looking so good let's see all right starting off a little bit of healthy choice that is a carrot cake let's grab a wedge perfect right over here and moving on a red velvet cake nice and small so you can have three or four okay now these are a little bit bigger but I think I'm still gonna have to say yes for a mango chiffon cake a nice strawberry Lassie and we have an Oreo cheesecake I think I'm just gonna watch my weight that's gonna be too heavy banana caramel oh a raspberry mousse cake let's go for one of those and then this it is a coffee jelly and mango dessert and back there we've got the red velvet cake and this is Ube bars and shards of coconut Ube goodness all right delicate balance required and let's see behind the frosted glass you can see peeping in wonderful chocolate desserts and I think they are kept ice cold and I think we're gonna get something here Elma the display looks amazing oh can I get a few can I get some chocolate desserts this one is our best seller oh let's oh let's go for the best seller that looks so rich oh and it's heavy my goodness all right and then let's see what else they have a chocolate fountain and then things that goes inside the chocolate fountain and this is really nice I think a little bit of a light dessert or the apple strudel oh look at that nut is light as a cloud and unfortunately there's no rune it's gonna have to nudge these things around I love it when that's the biggest problem we have and I think that's the limit I don't think I can have any more oh but look at this thank you so much oh now we have a better View and now I think my mind's decided I think I'm gonna go for one or two or three times staring at this purple disc not sure what it is but I think there's only one way to find out uh Chef Roger can I get one of those uh purple discs this one yeah oh okay Blackberry yogurt and maybe a sandwich that green sandwich looks really good oh and it speeds up thank you so much okay so I think even I would say this is going a little bit overboard but uh with all the lobsters and then now with the desserts let me show you what we have so really grateful for the servers and the hosts with all their help bringing all this great food to me along with the lobsters and everything but I see that ice cream sandwich melting we can't let that happen cheers no ice cream headache here because the bread or the cake is nicely insulating the coldness of the matcha ice cream which is the smoothest ice cream I've ever tried [Music] bite after bite very good oh that was bound to happen and I can't wait to try this Blackberry Frozen parfait disc oh okay let's listen to that breakthrough cheers very good it's not too sweet yogurty custardy creaminess and a nice Tang of the Blackberry [Music] fantastic and I can't wait to try that mango coffee moussi concoction looks uh interesting grab a spoon give this a try dig all the way through as the jelly oh my goodness oh who knew mango and chocolate and coffee such a good match poppy jelly delicious I'm speaking of coffee thank you so much all right thank you John a little bit of milk or cream much needed and now that we've cleansed the palette let's try that chocolate cake that's hiding behind the Lassie a little bit of cake here [Music] get the chocolate cake and the laksa and the lobster and you know what the drill is it's a rich chocolate mousse but somehow Airy and light at the same time not too sweet and very what they call bored definitely need to wash that down with the mango lassi oh it's not something you can drink I think it is a strawberry Lassie mousse hmm very nice so this is the Fresh Buffet lobster buffet at the Solaire Casino fantastic and Manila is kind of like the Vegas of uh casinos and buffets now lots of great places from the okada to the Solaire and fantastic lobster buffet I think this is probably the best lobster buffet I've been to uh the Nordic is good and it's always going to be one of the tops and this one is just uh as good if not better and for sixty dollars I can't imagine a better
