THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD'S

second chronicles chapter 20 verse 13 you can see it up on the board if you don't have your Bibles but I want to encourage you to bring your Bibles at every service if you can if you don't have one we got plenty of them in stock in the back second chronicles 20 verse 13 and all judah stood before the Lord with their little ones their wives and their children then upon jahaziel the son of Zechariah the son of B'nai the son of Jael the son of Mantinea a Levite of the sons of a Seth came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation my lord what a statement and he said hearken you all Judah your habitants of Jerusalem and thou King Jehoshaphat thus says the Lord unto you be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours for the battle is not yours Church you got to get this in your spirit the battle is not yours but gods tomorrow go you down against them behold they come up by the clip of ziz you shall find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness of jrl you shall not need to fight in this battle set yourselves stand you still and see the salvation of the Lord with you Oh Judah and Jerusalem fear not nor be dismayed tomorrow go out against them for the Lord will be with you and I want to use for subject preaching just for a few minutes tonight or this afternoon I'll let you out before 3:00 or by 3:00 I promise the battle is not yours but gods some of you have come to this camp meeting trying to fight a battle that's already been fought and won you need to quit fighting that battle because God has already fought the battle and he's already won the war all you have to do is stand still stand still that means don't move and see the salvation of the rule let's pray Heavenly Father we come before you here in the name of Jesus Christ we ask that you would anoint us one more time this afternoon we ask that you would move amongst these people that have gathered here and is watching by television listening by radio and by the internet and knowing our ears to hear what you would have a say we ask it on the mighty name of Jesus and everyone said and everyone said amen I want to set the scene here if I can here is Judah the southern kingdom Jehoshaphat a man who served God a godly king who ruled for about 25 years in Judah now I want to say something about Jehoshaphat and I didn't really plan to say this but I really feel like I need to Jehoshaphat did something that really no other King before him did and that was that he brought the Word of God back to the people and when you bring the Word of God to the people and when the people accept the Word of God you don't have a revival you see the church so far today is peddling every scheme and every fad known to man but when you just bring the people you don't know you're not you're not here I can tell some of you get a little tired here if you just bring the people what's right if you just bring the people the word of Almighty God not added to are taken away from but if you give the people the word of Almighty God you're going to start seeing some things take place you're going to start seeing some changes taking place you're going to start seeing centers saved you're going to start seeing lives being changed you're going to start seeing broken home be put back together you're going to see drug addicts set free by the power of Almighty God you don't see homosexual is delivered by the power of Almighty God do you go see alcoholics stumble down an aisle and leave not stumbling but stone cold silver save by the power of Almighty God that's what happens when you bring the world the Word of God things will change the Spirit of God begin to move but now here listen let me say this once again to set the scene here's Judah and surrounding Judah all around were an enemy and an enemy of God the Moabites the ammonites bitter enemies of God's people they had surrounded Judah there was no way in and there was no way out there are some of you that came to this camp meeting just like that there's some of you watching right now that's exactly where you are you are surrounded it seems like on all corners by the enemy you don't know where else to go and you don't know what else to do but why would God allow the enemy to come and surround now understand this before I give what I feel is the reason why a quarter scripture as a believer you must understand one thing that everything that happens to you as a child of God is either caused by God to happen or allowed by God to happen and you got to understand something I tell my young people this all the time nothing takes God by surprise the situations that come against you does not take God by surprise it takes you and I by surprise but it doesn't take God by surprise and there are times through no fault of our own and sometimes through a fault of our own that God allows or orchestrates the enemy to come in and surround us you got to understand that Satan tempts you for Destruction for failure for defeat but God tests you for victory oh do you know you do you get that you got to get this into your spirit Satan tempts you to make you fail to destroy you God tests you so that you would understand who you are and who he really is that you can stand and say it's not by me it's not through what I can do but it's through what Jesus Christ has already done for me through the finished work of Christ God allows things to happen at times that we don't really understand things will come up and it seems like a tons your whole world will begin to fall down all around you where you won't know what else to do now I really believe according to scripture why the Lord allowed this enemy to come against Judah Jehoshaphat was a godly man a godly King when he began to rule he would fortify himself really in reality against Israel against the northern kingdom the northern kingdom every King that reign was an evil man the northern the southern kingdom at least they had Kings that would serve God and these two did not coincide there were one nation but divided just like the church now if divided you got those that want to serve God which you are part of and you got those on the other side which always it seems are always in the majority who don't really go by this book but though they may think that they're in the majority and they may look at us as being in the minority but I got news God with us it's never a minority it is always a majority now Jehoshaphat aligned himself with the king of Israel a hand you know Ahab evil man he aligned himself with King Ahab and let me tell you something one of Satan's greatest weapons against you the child of God is compromised did you get that he's going to try to destroy you but at times he's going to try to get you to compromise you see this is what Jehoshaphat did in essence he stood up against sin at first or Israel but then he compromised and joined with them Satan wants you not only does he want to destroy you but he wants you to compromise your witness and your stance the church that starts out opposing evil but much of the church world today has not just opposed it they have now compromised there's an old statement that you not you and I know if you can't beat them that's what Satan is warning and hoping that you would do if you can't be don't you just join in God doesn't want you to join in with that he's called you to be separated from that and that time Satan will come against you and he'll bring up something against you to cause you to stumble or to cause you to compromise and I tell my young people the moment you compromise one thing you've compromised everything because Satan won't stop with just one thing he won't stop with just one thing he ever seeks to move your faith he seeks to move your faith away from Christ and the cross to other things and it doesn't matter what it is and cross what I tell my young people Satan is clever he'll get that carrot and he'll dangle it out in front of you and if you don't look at it you'll pull it back and throw in another one if you don't look at that he'll pull it back and throw in another one he will pull it back and throw it he'll keep on casting until he gets your eyes off of the cross of Christ you see where your eyes are that's where you'll walk have you ever tried to walk straight in a straight line with the eyes turn to the left I can remember whenever I was in Middle School they had a young guy young man he was older than me about I guess a couple years older than me I was like in sixth grade he was in eighth grade or ninth grade or something and he was one of those Joe cool dudes man I mean every morning he walked to school he had the long-haired he just flip it day girls would swoon over him and he was just had that look smile he just looked over one of them just huh I remember one day I was watching him and he caught the eye of a girl he had that hair like I said he's looking at her so throwing that hair back but what he did not see was there was a pole right in front of him he was walking next thing you know cow he didn't get a date after that let me tell you but have you ever tried to walk in a straight line when your eyes are not focused on something straight ahead if your eyes are tilted that's where you're going to veer and if Satan can get your eyes off of the cross of Christ even it's just a little bit that's where you will begin to walk there's they they they say I don't know I don't like boats I get seasick you get on that water about five minutes I'm done give me back to land I don't like being on a boat I don't like being in the water I don't know what's out on the water at least was sad you can see what's around you with water you don't know what's out there but they say that if a the shipmaster if he sets a course in a certain direction and if they just beer all just an inch they can wind up off their track by miles the same can be said of a believer if you just get off track just a little bit where you end up is way far away from what you need to be and Satan will do everything he can to move you away little by little away from the finished work of Christ and he does it with compromise oh you don't have that that's not that bad it's okay if you do it just a little bit nobody's going to know it's okay don't what everybody else is doing it everyone else is doing it so we've got to do it too now you don't know you don't but he will do everything he can to begin to manipulate and steer you away from the finished work of Christ because whenever you see you are steered away from the finished work of Christ he's got you because he knows first of all that's where your victory is that's where he was defeated that's where he was defeated he knows that's your answer to victory and if he can steer you away he can enslave you in bondage and I have to believe that in just in Scripture that when Jehoshaphat aligned himself with a have to come against the Syrians God was not pleased with that and God had allowed an enemy the more bites the ammonites and those from mount sierra to come and surround Jehoshaphat in all of Judah and when this took place when the enemy surrounded them Jehoshaphat did not know what else to do except call a prayer meetin that's what he did he called for all of juda men women boys girls you see the church now when you got trouble they peddle a book forty days a purpose when you've got a situation they say go see your psychologist when you've got a problem go see your psychiatrist when you got a problem you need to go see this person read this book those things can't help you they cannot help you but the moment that you drop to your knees and say Lord I don't know what else to do I'm in a problem I've got the enemy surrounding me on every side I'm not sure what else to do God you've got to help me you've got to do something you've got to move upon my heart you are just connected yourself with someone who has an answer for where you are in your time of need [Applause] you got a lot of Christians that we praise our God we no longer pray to oh now most Christians the only time they ever say a prayer is over their food every night just about every single night whenever I took my kids into bed Samantha and Abbey I try to read them a bedtime story and it's always a Bible bedtime story it's the best Bible story that you can have the best bedtime story that you can have and they ask me every night are you going to read us a Bible story thank God thank God and then we have a time of Prayer and I teach my kids to pray and the first time whenever I prayed Abby she's three and a half she raised and she's a who I want to go first I said go ahead sweetheart the only prayer she knew was how does it go no it's not that one it's not that laid me down to sleep I tried to teach her that and she couldn't get it so she said this one god is great God is good let his thinking for food by his hands we are fed thank you Lord for daily bread in Jesus name Amen I was scratching my head a little bit I said honey it's not dinner time she said it's still a prayer so now every night she doesn't say that anymore now it's she's kind of changed it dear Jesus we thank you for this wonderful day and put your angels in charge over us and she prays for everybody she knows including our dog and Sam will pray and when she starts to pray she'll say this Lord place your angels in charge of our home with flaming swords of fire Hey flaming swords of fire devil don't want none of angel with a flaming sword of fire he has seen his angels in charge over us when you got a problem don't tell your neighbor your neighbor will tell everyone else someone said don't tell your neighbor tell your doll because at least your dog will wag its tail while your neighbour will wag its tongue but I got a better one your dog may wagons tail and look at you for a treat but when you go to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ you've just internet with a covenant you've just started off with the winning king and God has never lost one battle [Applause] he begin to pray the Spirit of God he begin to pray and all of a sudden he said there's no listen put up Burt if you can verse number 11 2nd chronicles 20 verse number 11 you can follow you can put it up on the screen this was a part of his prayer and I'm just skipping down for sake of time he began he begins to pray and all he concludes his prayer with this behold I say how they reward us to come to cast us out of thy possession which you have given us to inherent Satan is trying to cast you out of your possession what do you mean God's given your possession what is that possession salvation the baptism with the holy spirit healing victory blessing whatever it is that's your possession God God God sent His Son Jesus Christ down across to give you everything that you were ever in need of always as somebody that would get this whatever you need Jesus Christ has already paid for it oh you didn't get that I said whatever you need whatever you desire whatever you are in need of Jesus Christ has already paid it for you I got a hurry can I give you an example how would you like to ever go to Walmart I hate Walmart too many people and you you go down your aisle and you get your groceries you get your stuff you get your cosmetics your hairspray your deodorant your food your TVs anything you want is fine you can find it at Walmart I'm sure they got a section just I'm sure I don't know but I'm sure they got a section just as seen on TV whatever they do good lord of mercy anything you need you can go to Walmart at any time and how would you like it if you stopped up on everything and you took your car and pulled it up to the teller and you unloaded everything and she started scanning it and the register never went up but it stayed on point zero zero and you can think about it in your mind saying what is going on and you reach out and you pull out your credit card to swipe it and the person said ah it's no good here because everything that you've asked for everything that you have has already been paid for funny when you get through that line you may try to act all cool and calm when you walk out with a moment that door shuts behind you you going to start doing this hey I've got some free stuff I've got some free stuff I got some free stuff well guess what guess what guess what did you're gonna God the Father and Jesus Christ has paid for everything that you ever need oh wow salvation paid for healing paid for deliverance peg for blessing pay for my lord that's good stuff pay for pay for paid for how would you like it if you went to your mailbox your mortgage was do you open up the mailbox you opened up that mortgage paper and it said you owe nothing you wouldn't just sit there and say um okay you pick up that phone wouldn't you you dial the operator and you get somebody on the line and say is this for real and when they say yes someone has paid your debt when you hang up that telephone you go go shout hey I got a free home I got a free home what guess what you've got something that Jesus Christ has already paid for my lord that's good stuff that's your inheritance that is your possession when your home is paid for it now does not be no longer belongs to the bank it belongs to you when you get that deed for that car that you pay for it now belongs to you you don't know anything else on it you had a debt that you could not pay it was so hard no matter how many payments you made it would just grow and grow and grow and grow but the moment that you came in contact with Jesus Christ and what he did at Calvary you don't have to pay for anything it's already been paid in full [Applause] it belongs to you the salvation belongs to you it bled so what's your name Ren the redshirt Jim Jim this salvation that you have done belong to them it belongs to you and it doesn't belong in it it belongs to you the baptism with the Holy Spirit God did fill someone else just to give it no he'd give it to you he paid for it so you can have it the blessings are not going to go to someone else they're gonna go to you if you believe in for it and ask him believing that what Jesus Christ did was enough that's your possession it belongs to you I got a bomb on three o'clock man more try Satan whatever tried to steal what God has given you he will ever try to steal he comes but for - that was the count of Lu come on one more time in unity steal kill and to destroy he's not coming to play for just tiddlywinks here he plays for keeps and he will try to steal what God has given you that verse says that go back to 2nd chronicles if you can't put it up they have tried they are come in to cast us out of our possession Satan wants to cash you out of your possession but as long as your faith remains in Christ and what he did at Calvary he can't cast you out because your faith is not in you your faith is not in someone else your faith is in Jesus Christ the Lord of glory and what he did at Calvary and that gives the Holy Spirit the ability to move now it's my next point as he begin to pray the Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord came upon jahaziel without the Spirit we might as well shut the doors of this church without the Spirit of God moving none of us up here at anything to talk about without the Spirit of God moving to steal an old phrase all you've got is a dead preacher preaching a dead sermon to a dead congregation I like to say it this way we've got too many icicles behind the pulpit that are so cold they wouldn't know the Spirit of God if it hit him [Music] the Spirit of God is the power of the church the church was born in power the church was never to lose that power and with the Spirit of God moving you've got a living breathing dynamo where the Spirit of God can flow unending to touch hearts and lives now I got a hurry so I want to get you back here by 7:00 the Spirit of God began to move and he spoke up I'm leaving out a bunch because of time he said thus says the Lord what a statement you got to get this it's not the said J hey J hey ZL because the jzl would have spoken his own flesh nothing would have ever happened but when the Spirit of God begins to tell you what to do where to go when somebody can stand up here and say this is not what I say but this is what thus saith the Lord when they speak under the anointing of the Holy Spirit when you speak with thus sayeth the Lord you will rock hell demons will begin to shake and quake they can't handle it when you speak and thus saith the Lord and guess what here every service what you've heard is not been by the words of man but it has been thus saith the Lord he said this be not a freak next go ahead be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude that is surrounding listen every one of us has multitudes it seems like surrounding us but the Spirit of God says fear not do you realize somebody told me this I'm going to have to check this out but they said that fear not the term fear not are be not afraid or words to that effect it's found in the scriptures 365 times in the Bible which means there's a fear not for every day because every day is a new day with a new enemy and guess what the Spirit of God still saying fear not fear not fear fear not be not afraid don't worry about it's one thing for me to say don't worry about it but it is another thing altogether when you've got god that says don't worry about it I got this fear not do not be afraid for this multitude that is surrounding you for the battle the battle this battle that is raging before you and you don't know what to do this battle does not belong to you but it belongs come on now you got to help me here it doesn't belong to you but it belongs suit oh come on church it doesn't belong to you it belongs suit come on it doesn't belong to you but it belongs to stop claiming it this battle does not belong to me it belongs I think got half said it it belongs to God my lord now I got a hurry let me say this real quick if I can it belongs to God then you got to think this battle is not yours the battle you face is not meant for you to fight this battle is not meant for you to fight why because you can't fight it you can get in the ring all you want to but that thing's going to be like Mike Tyson in one punch this battle was never meant for you to fight there's only one fight that you were to fight one you got it you are to fight the good fight of the faith this fight is a good fight because it speaks victory it speaks of victory it speaks of deliverance this fight is to keep your eyes on Christ and what you did at Calvary not to move it to the left not to move it to the right it's not meant for you to fight the battle is not yours you can't fight this it's too big for you it's too great for you you can fight in all your strength but you'll wind up failing but when you plug in to the message of the Cross well you realize it's not in me it's already been done you can the church world is all about doing when you've got to be about believing that it's done it's not doing anything it's just believing that it's done now Satan is going to fight you every step of the way he'll come against you harder and harder and harder but guess what that battle does not belong to you it belongs to God God has already won it he's already defeated it he's already paid for it all you got to do and still Paul said stand fast in the Liberty wherewith Christ has made you free how did he do it I need some audience participation how did he do it Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary Calgary stand still don't move how you got in how you stay in come on now you got in through faith in what Christ did you stay in the Satan what Christ did don't move what is it stand still when you got kids and if you got kids you know when you got kids all just all over the place you tell them stand still apparently a few weeks ago I was playing a game with my daughter and I didn't know it red light green light y'all remember that game Abby was telling me I wasn't walking and she said red light I'm thinking what she talking about red light red light dad red light what red light she said red light means stop the Holy Spirit's telling you south red right staying still don't move and you are going to see what are you saying you won't have to fight in this battle you don't see something that God you don't see something that God will do that you can't deny that it was him you can't take credit for it because there's nothing that you could have done to take the credit for to begin with but stand still that means when the enemy comes in like a flood he said I'll raise up a standard against him that standard is the cross of Christ and when you're standing firmly planted on that solid rock no matter what comes your way you can say I shall like a tree that is planted by the waters I shall not be moved I'm not moving with every form every wind of doctrine but I'm staying flat-footed planted on Jesus Christ and what he did at Calvary singers desicions make your way back this is what he did he did something talking about God and how he works he did something absolutely unusual hadn't been redone in recorded in Scripture until that point he said yeah you gonna get your army out but you're not gonna have to fight your army is going to stand up and they're gonna be there but they're not going to have to draw a sword I don't want them even going first they're gonna go behind but he said you don't put your Prazeres first oh I wish they had some praises in here he said we're going to put appraisers first they don't put the praise or that in front they goes put the praises and the singers at the front of the line and guess what they gonna be singing praise the Lord for His mercies endure forever now I need your help I need your help stand up everyone stand up I want you just to start shouting in a moment not now in just a moment because you know I want you to see something when they begin to walk out as those armies of the enemy were surrounding them God had told them you're not going to fight you can bring the army but they're not going to be in front they're going to be behind put your singers and pray sirs if you need help with depression start praising it if you need help oppression stop praising it if you're sick stop praising it if you're not well stop praising it and when they begin to sing and praise this was not just a stinky cheese this was not walking around like some Christians I remember being in a turkey I said lift your hands three people in the front row that's all there were in the front row raised their hand the whole church was sitting in the back two rows and they're like this I said raise your hands I don't know what to do you hadn't been used to this no wonder you got some problems stop praising it let me tell you something toto I need your help now when they but the Bible says when they began to sing and praise I want you to stop praising everyone of you don't do this just thank you but I mean from your very innermost being stop praising it because I want to show you something when they begin to sing and praise the Bible says the armies did not know what was going on they heard a noise and an angel from heaven came down and discombobulated them all to the place they started killing each other they were sent to kill Judah but they started killing each other when you begin to see and I'm not talking about rap music I'm not talking about rock music but when they begin to sing I know my lord it's going to lead me out I know my law is sort of lead me out I'm going to pray do the best I can because I know my lord can you help me bran baba says when they begin to sing and pray believe me you've had some ammonites involve whites against you but guess what when you begin to pray with your face anchored in Christ and what he's done at Calvary when you begin to pray so love will give you gather all of the spoil God's got something for you that what the devil thought he can take from you you can say I'm taking back I said I'm taking it back I said I'm taking it back I'm taking it back I'm taking it back what the devil stole from me he's gonna give you so much you won't know what to do with it all but your faith better be right it better be right anchored in Christ not in you but in Christ and what he did at Calvary we don't sing it one more time and I want you just to start shouting believing that whatever situation has come your way that God is going to lead you out one more
