all fairness this location might be the least awful among the bunch but it still carries certain drawbacks that make it far from the ideal choice for hunkering down that's precisely why it's ear a spot on the list because if you choose to establish your base here you're essentially making us suboptimal decision especially when you have one of the best bases in Riverside just across the street on the surface the boat club might appear as a tempting spot for a base creation it boasts plenty of space numerous points of interest easy accessibility a relatively low zombie presence the convenience of the nearby River for endless water supply and close proximity to the cities downtown so what could possibly make this place so undesirable you might be asking well let's break it down to begin with this place isn't just welcoming to you it's an open invitation to any passing zombie or Intruder who fancies a visit with a staggering 41 entrances all of them being glass windows and doors it's like a freefor all for anyone or anything wanting to get inside in other words it's not a secure spot it would take months and a goal mine of resources to even attempt fortifying this place and with the Gated Community right across the street it's simply not worth the effort and securing the number four spot is the restaurant located in downtown Riverside now for those of you who caught my video on the best based locations in Riverside you might be tempted to think well this place could be easier to fortify compared to the school which was one of the top picks in that video however i' back to differ and here is why by simply fencing off three critical points within the school you can effectively secure the entire building not to mention having the second floor for expansion but let's delve deeper into why this downtown Riverside Restaurant ranks as one of the least favorable places to hunker down in the city let's do the map if we consider the front windows as three tiles forming a single window you're looking at a grand total of 25 entry points that need safeguarding and defense add to this the fact that this building is situated in the most densely populated area in the city and it becomes clear that this place simply isn't worth the hassle to make matters worse the restaurant has only one floor making it even more challenging to transform into a secure location if there were a second floor we could employ the old Sledgehammer trick of removing the stairs to create a zombie free area upstairs but here you're pretty much obligated to face the zombies head on as for what you'll find inside it's a collection of building materials like chairs and doors for carpentry sinks and metal shelves for metal working and not much else when it comes to accessibility the place is a bridge to reach all the roads leading to it are paved and there are usually no Road Blocks obstructing the axis which is definitely a plus however the real highlight of this place is it's easy access to most resources in Riverside City you're practically a stone Str away from numerous pois like bookstores grocery stores Hardware shops a gas station a pharmacy and even a police station to the West most importantly the great Ohio River is just a couple of blocks away in the grand scheme of things this location isn't optimal for establishing a long-term base but at least we can say it is not the absolute worst Choice available now coming in at the third spot we are talking not so much about a single building but more of an entire area the camping trailer park to the west of Riverside picture this 36 nearly identical trailers each lacking sorely in the defensibility department frankly there isn't a whole lot to write home about in this area and that might be just the biggest issue sure the zombie population here is moderately high but nothing that can't be managed if you decide to scavenge the area you'll come across your first share of canned food Bish shaes and a few odds and ANS but nothing to write home about here's the real problem none of these trailers really stand out or make for a particularly good choice for establishing a defensive base the loot in the area is just playing underwhelming and it's only a matter of time before it runs dry forcing you to venture out in search of more now I'll give credit where credit is due this place does have some perks it's in close proximity to the gas station a mechanic shop several factories and a storage facility but here is the head scratcher why would you opt for the trailer park when you could set up Shob at the vastly superior and much more easily defendable storage facility it's a no-brainer really now let me tell you this place is an absolute ni if you happen to call this your home my heart genely goes out to you but truth be told it's hands down one of the worst places you could choose to establish your base to embark on the mission of building investing your valuable time and resources this location is nothing short of a disappointment in terms of defensibility all we have got here are two houses with an abundance of entry points forget about finding any metal working resources in the vicinity if you are even thinking about securing all those entry points in these properties your only option here is to start dismantling every piece of furniture inside with the slim hope of getting some planks to fortify those windows granted there is a second floor in each property so you could attempt a sledgehammer strategy but trust me finding a sledgehammer around here is a pipe dream in fact finding anything of value here is a lost cost especially with a noticeable absence of points of interest nearby your best bet is to venture into downtown Rivers side or make your way to the city's industrial area for a decent loot run but here is the kicker if you're stuck doing that every time you need supplies why bother hunkering down in this spot on top of that it's not exactly the easiest place to reach tucked away at an intersection of the road wishing my experience tends to be frequently blocked with wrecked cars and if that's not enough the place is swarming with zombies and it only gets more infested with time a zombie migration kicks in in so to put it simply this is far from being a wise choice for a base my advice look elsewhere Anywhere But Here and finally claiming the number one spot as the worst based location in Riverside is the cge corporation you might be wondering where on Earth is that well the reason you're scratching your head is that this place is incredibly remote it's not easily accessible and if you have never been here before it'll undoubtedly take you some time to get there without losing in your way given how isolated it is and speaking of seclusion there is really not much to see here there are no pois to speak of but you'll find it's an abandoned neighborhood with meor resources and the nearest gas station is quite a distance away that pretty much sums it up the place itself doesn't have much to offer with a scarce Loot and only a handful of zombies lurking around when it comes to defensibility you'll have a whooping 12 entry points to secure if you want to feel safe inside although considering its appearance I seriously doubt you'll manage to feel secure in this place all in all I believe this is an excellent location for horror gameplay or spooky challenges however as a long-term base it's without a doubt the worst spot on the map before we call it a day I just want to say thanks for all the
