I though it was good, but not great at first… but the longer and longer it’s passed, the more and more I’ve thought about the film. It’s one of those movies where the effects of it needed time to sink in, for me. I’m going to have to rewatch it again, now!
Nine fingers is the epitome of mental.
Barry Keoghan deserves an Oscar for best supporting actor. He was so fucking good in this movie.

Obviously I don’t know what ensconced means
This may odd to say but I haven't read anyone mentioning it but this movie is beautifully lit. Especially when you consider how many in the dark scenes there are. These days, good lighting is overlooked. It has become almost an after thought in that if something isn't well lit, "Well, we'll worry about that in post." But this movie, despite all the scene lit by the moon, lamps and candles, people aren't swallowed up by shadows. Love how in the dark, the director makes everyone's face glow in golden and blue hues.
I absolutely loved this movie. It works on so many levels.
