PSIA needs to adapt their program to teach turns like this. They are purposefully teaching turns differently because they want to separate from racing, which is totally ridiculous.

Edit: I found a picture of what I'm talking about. The hip positioning in this turn is atrocious. It is a completely static turn where the ski is doing all the work, meaning that if you put on a pair of skis with a larger turning radius and went at the same speed you would immediately fall over. It might make for a "pretty picture," but skiing is a dynamic sport.
