you [ __ ] in trouble and guess what i'm [ __ ] [ __ ] i ran to class 3000 so damn fast this is the craziest in case of emergency brick glass button i've ever had a peanut cheap movie [ __ ] america do i watch cartoons yes class of 3 000. he said funk kids why does genius say talk what gluten-free white boy wrote this [ __ ] class of 3000 was a cartoon network animated series created by thomas lynch and andre 3000 world renowned acclaimed rapper and star of john singleton's four brothers where his other three brothers are tyrese and two white [ __ ] created in 2006 it may have only ran for two seasons but despite that it's had an unparalleled effect on little black kids around my age unforgettable music crazy art direction great characters we got a lot to talk about so join me as i played the youtube guessing game and continue to roll the dice to beg for just like a [ __ ] crumb of video banger what video does the algorithm what i tried everything so nobody's got a w for me that's a man gotta do around here to get a w i don't know [ __ ] you tell me [ __ ] throw down let's get this thing pumping like fried bologna it's been a while since a [ __ ] did something for the [ __ ] culture this is the art of class of 3000 i will laugh so damn hard if this is the fake out wow you [ __ ] have no faith in me whatsoever god would you look at that you have a special guest greatest teacher we've ever had it's a pretty good award just knowing what a great teacher y'all think i am we sure do i thank you [Music] sometimes you gotta if y'all will let me hang out here for a little while and you promise to bring the fun i will show you how to put the k on yeah this is great in the class of 3 000 video off with green light [ __ ] gotta stop acting like i'm not the best to ever do it man get the [ __ ] out of here class of 3000 was created by andre three stacks and tom lynch lynch was actually fresh off creating the romeo show for nickelodeon which is a show that i remember nothing about except the theme song despite owning on my video now i'm so i see dc i'm so i see dc college i see dc andre benjamin that's for me and this is andre three stacks benjamin someone who needs no introduction despite me just introducing them unless you're 14 and in that case no kids allowed [ __ ] [ __ ] [Music] you wanna talk about a man with impact you look no further than three stacks okay music will impact you pedantic decks shut up anyway the man's come up with big boy gave a voice to the south for rap and gave it that southern flavor that was needed most other rappers were afraid to do something different in their sound and andre was over here making a jazzy rendition of my favorite things from the sound of music andre be letting his stacks hang and people love that about him every time people see he's featured on something they go and listen from his unique rhyme schemes where he'll rhyme the first half of the word with something to his amazing vocal work that seemed like they should be bad but are just ear wormy it just don't match his style he basically was something different in rap this man has a heir to him that kind of makes him ethereal that's a sat word of day for y'all folks seriously the man can just show up on the streets playing the sacks you wish you had the power andre that's why so many are mad that he retired without releasing a full solo album but you're right sorry this is how y'all are finding out still salty to this day andre stays in the conversation of goat rappers because his style is completely his and no one else repeats it thanks for doing that i only really wanted to talk about the cartoon the conception of the show came from three stacks wanting to make his own real dirty south cartoon we get new york and la so often he felt like it was only right to set something in atlanta where he grew up and this [ __ ] is really atlanta like most of the places that they go to are actually real it's dope because of that not only is our cast of characters so colorful but their world is the pilot is so good at showcasing that they even got their own version of risky from everybody hates chris man i love this cheddar [ __ ] don't you have any real movies like the wizard of oz give me 90 minutes [ __ ] name is cheddar man who is this [ __ ] this [ __ ] is so funny i think he's unavailable [Applause] [Music] ain't no place like my crib ain't no place like my crib the show itself is about sunny bridges a famous artist that steps down at the top of his game to teach a class full of what i think are high school freshmen they say they're 13 they call them first year a lot these kids are way older than i remember i got into the show pretty much at its start and that loki was a crazy when it premiered it had this big event where they rented out some theater in atlanta and had all these celebrities there to see it it was nuts to see just how much faith was put into this cartoon series especially a black one nobody was pulling out the stops like this at the time what you think people were doing this for hammerman or the mrt cartoon and honestly on look back it makes sense for this show this show was every kind of different from just the characters you get something that's special it sorta is that variety pack of classmates you would have gotten in shows in the 90s but they bring their own brand of special to the series you would think they would just be your typical kid stereotypes but every so often it shakes things up you get moments of the characters facing a genuine insecurity about themselves that feels real with some over-exaggerations [Music] hey it's still a cartoon people they still got to make it fun but it can still be relatable like when the gang all turned themselves blue just to hold on to fame or kim and kam wanting people to know that they're their own person you get that feeling of relatability that makes the characters stick one aspect that i truly love is not just that they learn from each other but even sunny can learn from them he's not some benevolent being that swoops down to teach lessons sometimes he's fallible like them and makes mistakes oh sometimes he needs saving just like the kids man's letter yeti in his crib eat up all his food and use his gym of course he's gonna need some help sometimes yet in my homework but that's what elevates the series above the rest of celebrity cartoons everyone can learn commercial i'm gonna get some graham crackers today's video is actually brought to you by the service scentbird animated he's kind of like the mary poppins three stacks great vocal performance match with all the cool [ __ ] that they make him say it just creates the most unforgettable cartoon character and he's so damn likable like i don't even think anybody in this show doesn't like this [ __ ] uh except except buddy right here man cartoons really love that whole bizarro versions of the characters thing huh madison looks like she's gonna bite the nipples off baby bottles he doesn't get him this show ended a year after this hey sulu you want to go around oh and i heard you talking about my hat too as you wish they start [ __ ] it was gross something to me is the perfect celebrity personification he's made to be like an ethereal being but at the end of the day he's just a human he's not meant to be perfect we see him screw up sometimes and need the kids to come bail him out i do love how he teaches the kids these life lessons my personal favorite are the record label one with lil d and the kids turning blue with eddie you get that genuine sense of care for his class that shines through that feels reminiscent of that one teacher you had that really cared about your education but also wanted you to be streetwise as well shout out to mrs hayes if i remember your name right god if you see this i hope i got his name right you just as guilty as the rest of us lily hey we could play the blame game all day it still ain't gonna change the fact that i never take responsibility for anything though d was great with his apprenticeship to sonny there's no feeling of him being a troubled youth or nothing he's just a carefree kid who just needs a bit of guidance here and there and can also give some himself he ain't the de facto leader which let's face it if he was georgia would probably be on fire gotta do it like the gumball club where he nuked everything i think we all know where this is going so let's just skip to the end blue d is the true main character we spend a lot of time with all the kids but little d is actually who we start off with in the pilot he's the reason why sonny becomes their music teacher and decides to stay home in atlanta for good i love lil d having a different hat in the pilot it reminds me of what gravity falls will do years later with different it's a great way to separate the pilot from the rest of the show just off the first glance your first episode is your turning point you have to tell us the reason why out of all of the places that we can start in the story why exactly are we starting here simpsons roasting on an open fire may not have been the first episode produced but it's a perfect introduction it's when the family becomes whole like the first billion mandy is when they meet grim [ __ ] like that and honestly a change in the main character's clothing is a crazy unique way to say after this point everything is different but we never see little d get the sailor's head he just kind of has it on the second episode so [ __ ] it [ __ ] it it doesn't even matter that's what i used to say it doesn't [ __ ] mean anything and it's really cool that the first episode explicitly explains to you little d and sonny's relationship i remember when we got deeper and deeper into the first season of abbott elementary which is sincerely the best show on [ __ ] television one of the things i really admired about their approach to rounding out the characters is that it taught me a lesson in storytelling that i feel like a lot of people could learn from it really came full circle in this scene with gregory and mr johnson wait you never dreamed of just doing one thing sure but a dream can be a distraction just as easy as it can be a goal i think this very clearly highlights one of the most important aspects for not creating one character but a cast of characters how they both work off each other comedically is one thousand percent important the differing personalities how they clash it is important but i'd argue that the most important thing is to figure out what each of these characters can learn from each other gregory and mr johnson are two characters that you'd imagine would be really funny together the uptight nature of gregory and just how wild mr johnson can be sometimes but i think it's really special that these characters that you wouldn't really think would have this kind of interaction can actually come out of it as better people simply because of who they are sunny is little dee's teacher he's obviously going to learn a lot of music stuff from him but the first episode illustrates that it doesn't just stop there sonny teaches little d the value of his neighborhood the gold in an area that he cannot wait to get away from instead of approaching everything like i just can't wait to leave the hood you should look at it as i'm thankful to be in this hood there's so many things around me that i should take in and enjoy the rest of the hood is lame i can't wait to get out of here little man soaking up your hometown that's what make you who you are i don't think i've ever seen a cartoon written like this this is the kind of [ __ ] that i feel like i've always wanted it's funny to think that it was just here the whole time and i just forgot i guess meanwhile though right little d very much reteaches sunny the true value of music sonny starts the show as a jaded musician someone who let the overwhelming nature of the business swipe away his passion for what he loves hey hey hey that's the arena this is my stop it's my stop this is my stop this is my stuff ah lee i want that daria bad huh and i think what little d is supposed to symbolize is a younger version of something that still has that spark the very missing piece to get him back into falling in love with his passion you got in that limo with all those people yeah i did but then i started to think when i saw lady playing my old beat machine i saw myself and i knew then that's why i walked off stage in japan i stopped having fun sunny learns to love music again all through just being around little d and i don't know if i can think of too many cartoons of this era with a more interesting character dynamic than this one now that's how you do a character analysis great speech to read thank you big shout out the christian stand-up comedian small fire for voice and little d it is so [ __ ] cool to hear a cartoon character with a real authentic atlanta accent without it being like a joke and no [ __ ] like that i'm from jersey and i feel this way so i can only imagine how y'all feel you wouldn't think he's voicebot woman but honestly once you know it's kind of just all you hear it's honestly just a normal voice mama stuck with me though cause you know i didn't always do you know christian comedy you know i start off on the other side i believe i see a few witnesses time to live the dream some of the line reads are so [ __ ] funny okay everybody who in the mood was so healthy jogging all of the voice acting is great though i never noticed as a kid but every character kind of talks in the same southern accent that's such an impressive and important detail i've never heard a cartoon that sounds like this i'd recommend uh watching the christmas special if you want to hear lil jon and andre 3000 argue with each other i can't believe you ruined another christmas for me got to be more careful i ruined another christmas look little d was the one who weighed down the sleigh and caused us to crash okay fine but i wouldn't even be here if you would have got me my roller skates back in the day oh for goodness sake sonny stop acting like a child and get over it the voice of tamika is actually the voice of libby from jimmy neutron who was one of my favorite characters from that show and also one of my wish picks for nick all-star brawl she's also known for such monumental roles as uh r kelly supporter i want a cookie we ain't got none all right so let's actually talk about tamika give me a break please just because you're a sunny wannabe doesn't mean we all are fam she's yelling at this [ __ ] for dick riding i'm crying tamika is like the tough one i guess let me see that you're crazy i've been here anyway no pirate and i kind of feel weird about it there are no other little black girls in this cartoon and the one that they decided to add just so happens to be the one that's always angry it's kind of hard to ignore especially when you consider how well everybody else is written it doesn't really help that they make fun of weight sometimes too if i want to be treated like a doormat i sit on a stoop with a key under my butt don't need a big stew wouldn't be right for me to kick the girl's butt even with such a big old target what'd you say like i get that kids talk like this but they literally don't do this with any other character she's not one note of static or anything like that but like why'd you have to pick the black girl to do this with son i guess what i'm trying to say is the black woman doesn't always have to be the aggressor the black woman doesn't always have to be the loudest one the black woman doesn't have to be the one that's always mad not saying that you can't create a character like this i can't tell you what to do while wrong but if you have to make the black woman the angry one like really really have to do it the very least you could do is not make her the only one and make it clear what she's angry about right because black women do have a reason to be mad but they make those reasons mad trivium shows to make the anger seem unnecessary for comedy to put in perspective how common this was remember when i said that she was voiced by libby you ever noticed that libby is the exact same way that's two characters from the same era voiced by the same woman given the same tired ass personality traits and i even get to miranda son listen if i'm tripping out somebody please tell me and i'll kindly shut my fat ass up this is just something that i've been thinking about for a while this doesn't make this a bad show and that doesn't even make her a bad character this show came out in 2006 when people didn't consider this stuff that often it's not a justification or an excuse that's just contacts this is something that i thought was worth pointing out oh mr maker what well i wasn't happy i'm lucky i still have all 10 fingers you got 10 wow you are rich this joke broke my brain as a kid and i haven't stopped thinking about it since eddie is the rich kid big d got me a gig on live tv tomorrow and y'all ain't invited that's all right my daddy owns the station we are always invited yeah but i didn't say which station daddy owns all the stations look at this sticker he runs like jerry they definitely make fun of how out of touch eddie is like i think there's a joke about him not even knowing what a hose is i have gardeners until five minutes ago i didn't even know what our house was for what i really admire about how he's written is that he doesn't feel like he's entitled to everything or that he's better than everyone it is so so very easy to write a stuck-up rich kid but that's never who he is he takes advantage of his resources but it's made very clear that he doesn't want that to define him and that he wants to work and get it out of the mud on his own terms you should never work a day in your life your dad is loaded but i want to have a job what part of your dad is loaded did you not understand i do really like any spotlight episode eddie's money that's the one a rich say the blue comes from but i do think that it's kind of a missed opportunity the episode is about sunny trying to get emotion out of eddie the blues something to bleed into his music and it's reflected in his song how he has everything money can buy but within lies this desire for more just not true happiness he got everything he wants but everything you need money don't buy and i think that's cool but like my issue is that this isn't what the episode's about the episode shows eddie having a very bad day when he goes to the hood with little d all of these trials and tribulations they go through ultimately create a story where eddie just kind of has a rough day and yeah sure a rough day could be worth the blues but what about that stuff he sings about in the song what about his family does he feel loved does the money make him feel empty think about that rich kid that timmy used to beef with affiliate parents before they just kind of started doing whatever on that show he has this really great line when he's yelling at timmy my parents are never home i never get to see them why should you get real parents and godparents that love you when i job and i always thought that this dynamic was a cool thing to put a rich kid through and show kids i guess they kind of imply this with eddie but i don't know i just kind of feel like this episode would have been their opportunity to really go for it and i don't know this show is so good at everything else that i just kind of expected them to go in a different direction i guess eddie also has this sick ass running gag that i don't really know how to explain you know as we stand here watching our teachers dine on spaghetti and an oversized chicken meatball i can't help but feel like we're forgetting something from almost exactly two minutes [Music] ago know guys as we stand here in this underground tunnel watching a 13 year old apply high exposures to a growling door i'm having second thoughts about right in the hole oh [ __ ] i have like no notes on philly phil really feels goofy as i enjoyed because of how he was like the eldest but never held that over anyone plus he's just funny with how he can be a genius but still get caught slipping making his machines gonna function or just picking his nose i know it's wrong but i can't stop nasty and camera cool most of the time when they weren't doing that song where they uh were working on night moves together but then classmates be violating with how they refer to them still not over the fact that they referred to him as girl twin of course he was right hunter always right and now he gone and you made him leave girl twin joe was wildin sometimes but they were still fun in their own individual respects with him being more of a fashionista and kind of self-centered every now and then and cam just being a brainiac who very much could just be up his own ass why does everyone leave while i'm talking and why do i keep talking when everyone's gone what now you can get away tell me what the dude boy [ __ ] you here's cam piano boy master of the keys probably my least favorite kid if i'm being honest but i definitely still love him oh man stiff competition thank goodness no one i know saw me and this is kim the girl twin girl tween she's more of a percussionist positive i spelled that wrong i don't even i don't use spell check both of them kind of get meshed together sometimes they're not alike at all they just kind of have similar sounding names but that doesn't stop that doesn't stop the microaggressions wait a minute we didn't sing our blues verse yeah we had a great rhyme worked out about how nobody pays attention to us it rhymed with superfluous kimmy cam's art together is more about acceptance accepting each other for who they are and working together despite their differences because these [ __ ] can be [ __ ] difficult i don't even think the kids like these [ __ ] have to damn tom the rest of these votes all say the same thing cam and cam we told you guys we're not one person we know but we stick a boat for y'all i am proud to say that i am a quarter greek 3 8 italian 5 16 texarkanian and 132nd glutonian that makes me a purebred american mutt shorty what you say it's honestly hard to pick a favorite among the characters because they're all so good at one point when i was younger i was pretty impartial to madison because how goofy she was even now i still have an affinity for goofy female characters which is why i love daphne and be cool scooby-doo if anyone remembers that one what am i saying of course y'all don't remember that one because it looks like family guy racist but with madison she was just so sweet yet naive on things you couldn't help but have a honey moment with her i didn't realize that a lot of what they did with madison would just make her too stupid to know that she's being racist this [ __ ] is hilarious kim cam just watching this make you homesick not at all especially since we were born in columbus ohio shutting the [ __ ] up is super duper underrated man sooner or later y'all [ __ ] gonna learn that at some point somebody's gonna have to put their hands on this little white girl she's been getting away with too much for too damn long did you take the bus to school today no madison i drove my dad as bentley i thought you never met your dad hello [Music] [Applause] [Music] ah crap it's an easy task well i want to save it for a special occasion because what the hell are you talking about there's a gallon of it [Music] this is without a doubt the best looking cartoon i've ever talked about how the [ __ ] do you even explain the look of this cartoon let's take it back a little bit y'all haven't seen a fantasia 2000 you have then you know that objectively the best segment is rhapsody in blue your favorite one is the sprite one then you probably got the little evil eye and some some butterflies in your bio i don't delete it now [ __ ] i saw you rhapsody in blue has this crazy cool looking art design with characters based on the art style of al hirschfeld look at the flow of his work everything is slushy boneless he can draw one line and the flow of that specific line just kind of forces the rest of the pose right out of it class of three thousand one million percent borrows a lot from this i ain't see it in all sources but it's pretty obvious which you can see if you stop drawing and look up at the video oh my gosh how did he know that i was drawing [ __ ] out of here everything has a bounce of flow crazy textures that kind of remind me of myself if i'm being honest there is no way this show didn't cost a [ __ ] arm and a leg to draw these [ __ ] was going crazy little d has this crazy like chowder thing going on with his shirt in the second episode i don't even remember this [ __ ] the animation of this show is stays like a lot of shows from this era i think i'll talk about this in that slacker cat's video where the staging is set up so that it could be readable in 4x3 because everyone didn't have hd tvs yet so it looks good on widescreen though but if you weren't watching it like that you wouldn't really be missing anything nowadays nothing is made like this yes it is one of a kind in spirit y'all in spirit oh do i love how good this show looks this was back in 2006 and it's such a marvel to look at the backgrounds with this graffiti motif adds that seasoning you need for a series taking place in atlanta you can't fake these would be amazing paintings to have hanging in your room each time the characters are walking through the environment you just want to get lost in them what amazes me is how this show goes above and beyond with its animation be it in the regular style or the music videos or even the character designs it has a strong sense of distinction between everything that all meshes so well together the music videos are what really elevated above other animated shows these all have a look to them that completely switch up the animation style that adds that genesecua a show like this didn't need but is highly welcomed what i had to take french in high school leave me alone always a treat to get a new music video in each episode whereas in other musical shows it's just a new song with a montage or just changing up of the color palette which is still nice but not as strong as classic 3000 the expressiveness of the characters i can't get enough of it uses a bendiness with everyone but they all have a unique bendiness with each one nobody feels the same in body or face it extends the voice work with everyone having some sort of accent to go with the part of georgia they're from every minute you want to pause to look at the details of the frame when they go big on expressions i'm so glad we got the hd version somewhat recently because it looks even better now say for the christmas episode they ain't update that what can catch you off guard is when they let the budget hit even more just for a few seconds for a gag this show can be loose with its sense of expression the zaniness of the characters just makes this a laugh riot with a lot of the jokes even the more subtle jokes can get a good chuckle out of me like the one where philly phil just looks at madison like she's crazy it's so simple but it's a gut buster they even be getting off really funny sight gags just the one where sonny told eddie to make his clarinet sing and that thing starts sounding like arkell no no wait can't use that one uh he makes it sound like luther vandross yeah there you go he ain't controversial wonder what he's up to now he's dead he's like up to death huh i gotta look at the news more or like wikipedia [Music] speaking of which fam that music wow lord that [ __ ] was so fast nah nah that's like not saying i said no y'all face though right the music to this [ __ ] cartoon is insane [ __ ] be like oh every phineas and ferb song knocks oh god i i got this little white boy rapping like that there's not a single l on this track list bro throw down [ __ ] life without music ufo ninja oh peanut well actually i kind of just think oh peanut is okay if you grew up listening to the soundtrack you could actually always tell which episode is which because they use so many instrumental motifs throughout each episode that you can just kind of match them up with each song ah lunch the most important meal of the day see that in season two the songs didn't exactly have the same amount of effort put into them repeated lyrics some of these are just kind of long instrumentals that just kind of sound like their background music anyways [Music] let's move on visual is always cool but somebody is kind of just nothing a lot of season two this my favorite song in the whole show is actually in the season premiere well i've been working in the sun early morning having fun whoa whoa farming is cool [Music] what's to do well you can plant a little seed and watch it grow grow grow bro banana zoo [ __ ] [ __ ] in their pants and throwing up y'all gonna was your favorite record growing up you're depressed and drowning in student loan debts right now man that kim and cam record from season one ain't really all that bad if you watch the music video with it but without it this [ __ ] sounds [ __ ] nuts [Music] go for it imagine if you had no contacts and you just heard somebody listening to this [ __ ] on like the bus [Music] i think i should i think i should call the police excuse me the police now to talk about music what do you think you get with andre making the series there's so many levels to how the music is done with this show it plays into the fact that the gang is in a music class and each song is a different genre each song basically has some sort of lesson in it for the audience in terms of enjoying different music that you wouldn't normally be that into what makes that work is its spin on these genres case in point the turn of the sentry song where it utilizes that old-timey sound but makes things modern with the beat switch taking an old thing and making it new which is the point of the song i even appreciate when the beat is so good they just let it ride out or they'll have songs where it's just the beat my favorite being my mentor look you all know i love jazz so of course the jazz record is put at the top don't hate from jazz to blues to techno to even country there was no limit to what the series wanted to tap into though it is odd in the album version for a few of the songs there's the crayon song that has that clarinet opening but on the album it's gone and has a different ending too where the beat just rides out instead of just having an end same happens with we want your soul episode where it's andre rapping instead of little d on the album so shout it i got that lil d make a beat make it hot bad like a rabbit vote swag or a cadillac imma show you how to do a rebel contract it's just kind of odd still kind of confused about that to this day it can be funny how certain songs don't necessarily segue from anything sometimes they transition really well into what's going on in the episode other times they just start the song sequence with no warning or connecting threads but it's not like it's bad because it's still really good music and visuals so it's easy to ignore what really annoys me though is that there were two albums made and sold on apple at a time with both season songs but now there's only the one with season one songs and a random album that's the same but with a different name for it i'm not making this up there was another album being sold i want my season 2 bangers damn it i just discovered them and now i ain't got the official joints i don't want to rely on ribs come on now [Music] at least nobody be able to yeah so anyway here's a transition with a song that i downloaded class of 3000 ended after two seasons i know some people think that the lawsuit is the reason why the show was canceled but after some reason the show was actually cancelled in december of 2007 supposedly due to budgetary constraints which yeah i believe but the lawsuit actually wasn't until a full year later and to everyone that doesn't know what lawsuit i'm talking about here you go in 2008 timothy mcgee sued three stacks in tom for 2 million over the creation of class 3000 but he claimed that he pitched a similar concept in the nineties to mike laszlo who just so happened to be the guy who greenlit class of 3000. the original pitch was called the music factory of the 90s it'd follow a group of young artists trying to start a music career in atlanta following a tough full of attitude female executive a young techno whiz sound engineer a talented young asian singer and a central eccentric young singer slash rapper no to sticker and get mad because these [ __ ] was asian because they don't even [ __ ] sing [ __ ] thought he invented asian kids [ __ ] but in 2012 the case was dismissed with this quote from the judge class of 3000 is a children's cartoon that is fast paced whimsical and laden with traditional cartoon slapstick comedy by contrast music factory is aimed at an adult audience serious in tone not comedic and uses more slang moreover class of 8000 is full of fantasy and magic for example sunny lives in a magical forest with a bear who drops a convertible and a boombox toting rabbit whereas music factory is grounded in reality the judge also stated that suing over creating a musical cartoon is just kind of corny like [ __ ] you ain't invent music let's have someone else read this one for example an animated television show that incorporates music musicians or original songs is not copyrightable nor is it in any event original as mcgee explains in his treatment his cartoon format is itself based on fat albert and the cosby kids which also incorporated music in an original song into an animated series ladies and gentlemen rod's variety animation is built on plagiarism if it weren't for someone plagiarizing the honeymooners we wouldn't have the flintstones if someone hadn't ripped off sergeant bilco there'd be no top cat huckleberry hall chief wiggum yogi bear andy griffin edward g robertson r kearney your honor you take away our right to steal ideas where are they gonna come from so what you're saying here is the honeymooners is the most important cartoon of all time it genuinely is annoying that this suit acted as a final nail on the coffin for the show i mean it doesn't help it probably been going over budget a bunch plus the ratings at the time weren't the strongest but still you'd think people would easily latch on to it with andre being attached but i think only a small few cared coupled with the fact that some of us growing up were growing out of cartoons and getting into more weeb [ __ ] looking at you bree animator but joke slash half truths aside this show deserved much better and i'm just kidding you know i love you love three this all this [ __ ] kind of scared cartoon network because the show was only referenced here here and here by the network in the 14 years since this cancellation i don't know what's worse the fact that we'll never see these characters again or the fact that 2018 was 14 [ __ ] years ago i'm sad the show ended but an age where everything is just kind of getting rebooted remade revived it's just kind of comforting to just have one whole thing one beautiful thing that reminds you of a simpler time period a show like no other that came and went and will never be forgotten a show that not only brought the fun but showed us how to put the k on it okay fine my boy probably thought that [ __ ] was fire too that's what's crazy wait ah [ __ ] man [ __ ] the show didn't last long enough to get one of these i'm sorry you know what really makes this type of series stick it's that feeling of uniqueness that some shows neglect at no point can you say you had a show like this you often get people talking about these animated musical series and it's usually about stuff like phineas and ferb or my little pony but honestly the one that is the pinnacle of all these is class of 3000. it carried itself with a vigor that andre basically said when outcasts won best rap album for their first album they had something to say and they made sure they were heard it still stands as my all-time favorite animated musical series the characters are the most unforgettable and lovable cast you could get and you could kind of see either a little bit of yourself or someone you know in them the music reaches across the board so there's basically something for everyone to listen to it's arguably the most re-listenable soundtrack for an animated musical series of all time i'm willing to put my stake on that the animation is absolutely gorgeous and at no point could you say this looks bad and it goes above and beyond what it needed to and that's just something you have to appreciate with this type of show at the time it didn't do too hot in the ratings but andre said it best in the class of 3000 theme song as long as it's jamming all the cool people will play it man i ain't never seen nothing like class 3000 before a lot of these celebrity animators series just kind of feel like cash ins and yeah this is because they are yeah but class 3000 feels like three stacks of them really had something that they wanted to tell kids he had a vision for this show that he wanted to see through and maybe with his ambitious art style gigantic scale music and just slew of guest animators maybe it ended up biting off way more than it could chew but you know what sometimes it's worth it because without that we wouldn't have this insanely marvelous animated musical achievement this was the first time i got genuinely excited for the next two weeks of my life just based on the first few notes of the theme song this [ __ ] had me hyped out the gates i kept forgetting to take notes because of how much [ __ ] fun i was having and while watching it i got frustrated because we will probably never see anything like this ever again man i really forgot what it feels like to genuinely relate to a show not seeing characters that look like you not seeing something that reminds you of the situation genuinely relating to every aspect i do all these videos on all these shows that i like love even and i can always find a character to fall in love with or a story beat that i really want to see through but class of 3000 perfectly encapsulates my emotions on art the artistic process and all of the emotions that come with it all wrapped up in this beautiful looking nostalgic bow that just makes this re-watch all the more fast i think what i'm trying to say is class of 3000 did for me what lil d did for sonny and the pilot it showed me why i love animation it showed me why i love music and it showed me why i love to do these videos and that's art at least to me this show is music that's funky it's soulful it's fun fun energy and good vibes i mean that's that's a pretty trademark frame that i've been using this show has definitely made me more funky sophisticated funk well i was born [ __ ] this would be the coolest place on television i'm telling you [Music] time to live the dream three thousand forgot your credit card smart move by the way my little sister loves your [Music] from giving this cartoons a beat down a man soaking up your hometown huh that's what make you who you are this is my stuff we only did all this because we think son is the best teacher in the world [Music] yes [Music] so he can get it any type of way i don't give a [ __ ] if you want to do it scary movie style [Music]
