The Amish taught me how to live off the land and survive, but follow Amish rules when hunting.

another thing i wanted to tell everyone that i'm really thankful of growing up in the amish was that i learned how to live off the land kill animals to survive i still to this day love deer hunting as you can see i have a i know there's a lot of stuff hanging in between them but i got a buck there that's a 10 point buck i got a 12 pointer there that i shot two years ago and i got another one over there oh and my rebel flag there amish rebel but anyway i just wanted to talk about that because i really love deer hunting we did do a lot of deer hunting in my amish community i know almost all amish do go hunting and i do also know that most amish across america are allowed to have a hunting license and they are allowed to have orange on you know they actually follow the wall but i'm going to show you a little story about my amish community like i always say mine's different mine stands out from most of the rest because we were similar to the schwartz amish where it was very very strict you had to follow everything man said all their rules had to be followed right to a t i remember sitting out there hunting these deer and the game working came up every county in ohio has a game word and i think every state has that to make sure that we follow the laws hunter's orange uh got a plug in in my shotgun in ohio you can have a plug in it with only three if you got more than three slugs well you can get your gun taken from you and get a fine so anyway i was back there hunting with no orange on i would have broke the amish bishop's rules if i'd have wore orange you couldn't wear orange so the game work and said hey uh where's your orange yet i said i'm following the bishop's rules i can't have any orange oh well that's breaking the law i said yeah i gotta remind you our rules are more important than the law he's like what are you serious and then i said yeah i'm dead serious he goes well i've arrested amish before and i've given him a lot of fines and well i guess i'll just give you a fine well what does this little amish boy do i go running i took off i know how to run i ran that guy he had a little belly on him but anyway i just wanted to share that uh we love deer hunting and they go deer hunting i mean we even hunted deer in season and odyssey we didn't care we just live off the land god gave us deer we're gonna shoot them and eat them but in my community you simply could not wear orange because it was a bright color and you can't please god with that bright color so you better not do it so i know of a lot of amish that did get fines in my community and they would always talk about that on sunday in church the amish would go to court for them and fight it usually they fought they won because freedom of religion is always what they used
