OK this has me sold.
I never realised (for example) that Tintin was set in a parallel universe where WW2 never happened; the clues are everywhere, but I never noticed them.
This video put into words the feelings and thoughts I’ve had about tintin and hergé’s legacy I’ve never thought I could say or watch. Loved it.
I Absolutely Hate it when people do this, an Hour and sixteen minutes? The movie itself was 1h 47mins so that's around +75% of the whole movie's runtime. They can't make 15 or 20 minutes video?
If the video is nothing but Bashing it. Then it's not worth it. I am not sure what is the general consent is either nit-picking or valid agreements.
To give my two cents, I haven't seen the movie in years. Although what remember is, Tintin is british (at least I think was), The story is basically "Secret of the Unicorn" with elements/ hybrid of "Crab with the golden claws", CGI (why? although it never bother me anyways) Yes the story entirely different from all angles, Spielberg "Bastardize" Tintin? beside the british bit I haven't (or remember) anything Tintin or anything else out of character... Oh yeah the new Villain that never was in the two stories an original character just for the film (can't remember a thing so, eh)
Other than that I can't recall anything else, One more thing, I've heard people say Tintin fell into the "Modernized" "For a new generation" nonsense, The Smurfs Garfield and many others. But Tintin you can't lie or deny he definitely got the Best treatment, drastic differences yes but sincerely better than the those who came before him. But hey there will another version eventually in future.
