it's an old cast-iron bridge that is gonna take us to the abandoned ghost town in calico Rock Arkansas this place was very difficult to find it has an eerie feeling but it is beautiful that's what it looked like back in the day guys I think that is absolutely that's a great little nugget of history so this obviously by the Purina Chows was an old feed and seed store you guys check out this old advertising it's still intact awesome there's an old rusted embossed feed sign that's probably with a warehoused a lot of the inventory so as you can see guys this old real tracks and you can see in this direction this buildings out there that we're gonna go explore and from this side you get a silo and you got the season feed store right there so it was convenient I love that old feed side and this right here was old Main Street this is a look in the northern direction up Main Street to me there is something beautiful when nature starts to reclaim according to my research I believe this is the old blacksmith shop this was the old Martins barber shop and beauty parlor it was put up in the 1920s so here is we the old Ozaki tur in the back wall is still present in the woods you could see it this was the old Ozaki Theatre there was a popular corner store it was in this lot and had two entrances one on walnut and one on Caldwell it's no longer here this was an old wholesale grocery store not exactly sure I think according to the research this was an old Chevrolet garage guys this building right here is the old calico rock arkansas funeral home awesome is that and here's an old image of the funeral home back in the day so the old funeral home we know what went down on in here this is all that is left to the old electric in ice company it was the foundation of the old Chevrolet garage on the corner of walnut in Caldwell so first building on the corner of walnut and Road in was the mobile bulk oil building there it is right there and this was the old city garage the Calico rock sir guys quick story in 1944 some Navy train of planes ran out of fuel landed across the White River which is parallel to us and a guy named shorty that worked for this Magnolia fuel distribution center this building right here actually drove a truck out to refuel the planes so talk about history coming alive is the back side of the wholesale grocery building and you could see where we were earlier the funeral home the corner of the Chevy stop dealership it's kind of unique about this goes town is that it's a ghost town within a town and I'll show you the main street of the current town that's about a wrap this was the location of the old city jail obviously this isn't the original but this is where it was located tell me how jail there would be you got this building right here which obviously came later it's not part of East calico that's one angle of the current Main Street here's the other angle this is the old Riverview hotel was built in the early 1920s still standing there's a better view
