Suella braveman has been offered 1 million pounds by ITV to enter I'm a celebrity in the second week Peach I have to say the idea of her going to the Jungle I have a certain sympathy for creepy crawly centipedes and things the idea of you know you're spending a happy life underneath a bit of bark in Wen bo bay and suddenly Stone me crocky chaps look who's coming through the and they've already had to contend with n that's to to be some sort of BU therapy would you would you basically let soel and Nigel go to Australia and then just abolish flights Australia's not big enough I want both of them back in the United Kingdom we need a center right sensible voice and sella and Nigel they're the people elate it is the it is the establishment hitting back isn't it this R Shuffle it is it is completely I cut the legs out of the center right of the conservative party that's what they've done and they brought the big left back but the one thing I can I and he is sorry to say this pleas and he is bigger than he used to be I mean I appreciate it's hypocritical at least I'm not Al but no I I I've read this and heard a lot of people make this argument that oh it's it's the left of the conservative party hitting back and all the rest of it but I don't really blame the left of the party because the right has messed this up catastrophically I mean sella bran should have been fired because she hasn't done anything I mean I look at most of the right-wing leaders that we had over brexit and most of the people have been in charge and they have been utterly inept and incompetent can I just I do dis agree with you a bit about bra her language has been resonating with most of the country something is something else don't minding she's got to do talking of language let's let Lois get a bit but I think that sorry I just I was itching to come back on that go so so so it's clear to me now that the reason that Steve pound who's generally a good BL became a la p is he's obsessed with women's libery come on go do it for doesn't make me a bad I just wanted to say that I do think that her language has resonated with how the most of the country is is BU and that's why they've got rid of her I'm sure of yeah and I and I think that you know before you can take action you've actually got to take the debate in the direction in which action needs to be taken and the the the I think the entirety of uh Parliament is cowed by actually calling a spade Spade no one's prepared to stand up and say multiculturalism isn't working they're all fearful of saying it apart from her and I appreciate and I I understand what the argument you're making but again I always think you've got to do something to show that you're actually capable of actually leading in a direction I think her rhetoric and her language I think is spot on I'm not against her in anything that she believes in but my problem with her and I had the same problem with pretty Patel is it's nice to keep saying these things but I can't point to something you've actually achieved and I think this goes back because service but then she but then again they had an 80 seat majority they could have reformed the Civil system they should have dealt I I have to say when you look at Liz trust you think this business about actually getting things done I think a bit of benign inaction on her part would been absolutely but the going to defend this I'm listen I defended the indefensible many years in the labor party I was on Jeremy's front bench I'll tell I'll tell you something Steve the thought of being on Jeremy's front bench to be how it look that's not on his allotment I put on listen to what KY bad knck is saying she's saying pretty much the same thing but she's saying in a more measured sensible and serious way from from the perspective of the left I'm much more frightened about the K has done nothing either yeah she was given one major T what she hasn't done she's done well Steve Steve Steve can I ask you you you've been you've been a front bencher you came I think you came in 1997 in that big wave of I was a blur babe a blur babe yeah absolutely in drag he consuming but but you just a bit of blusher actually You' sat you've sat on the front bench is this reshuffle where sella braveman got kicked out and David Cameron got brought back in is it just the last role of the dice is there anything rishie can do now to win the next you know and I know that some Jero somewhere is actually doing the old deck chairs on the Titanic line because what what this is is they have to be seen to doing something at the present time or the weather is not good for them all the the direction of travel is not good we know that the the boats aren't going to stop because we we're addressing the wrong end of the problem we're actually looking at the one instead of looking at actually the beginning of the problem you know they we're actually just fluffing around with all this nonsense with BBY stock and everything so all those things aren't going to happen the the econom is flatlining so there's no good news coming over the horizon there's no the Cavalry don't seem to be coming so what do you do change the players you it's what you do if I mean if you look at look at Manchester United at the moment you know they had a couple of bad games what they do they shift the Midfield around and and stone me they had a couple of wins but how they could think that bringing Cameron in is going to actually do anything to help their CH that sorry that that's the old you know cat on the table that's cat everybody's talking and all the next what's interesting about this what you've both spotted already is that there's about five people who were actually fairly good senior ministers who actually said no not only are we not being moved we're just out of it we just don't want any party because we wish to return to our constituencies and prepare for Oblivion what's what's what's what's just before we move on to the next question because the next series of questions are all about the reshuffle what's it like to be part of a big tidal wave like 1997 because look the conservative party are really going to struggle at the next election and I don't mean lose by 10 seats or 20 seats I mean just wiped out all those red wall seats that golden opportunity from 2019 Stone dead you were around it in 1997 we all had to turn up and there was 100 cuz we had a majority of 179 and so the only way we could could identify we had to bring our election addresses in yes so I I turned up at the polican said oh you can't go in there I said excuse me officer but you would like D booy I am a member of P by by the way Steve I just want to reiterate that for all the viewers and listeners because this is an extraordinary thoughts so I asked this question when you've been elected to the House of Commons how do you prove you've been elected to the House of Commons and the answer is you have to bring your election Le yeah but so I yeah we there so many of supposed to be the RIT you're actually get given a RIT by the may but there so anyway so so I said to said you know I said stroll on officer I happen to be a member of place listen they all say that mate sling your you know what that reminds me of you know those like permission slips that you used to have to take home for your parents to sign so you can go on a school trip it's one of those little pits of paper I used to ring up the school and say this is my father speaking Steve can't be in today he used he used to do that with the labor whips as well this is listen I was a sorry sorry the labor whips yeah he used to phone up even when he was a whip well I'll tell them I'll tell them so it's it's the ghost of John Prescott who's not dead the ghost of John Prescott and he said that you used to phone up the label whips office even when you were a lip whip going it's Steve's Dad can't he can't make two more PES of Stella Tommy M was was a per I said to Tommy maoy I said it's my son's 10th birthday um on Tuesday said can I get excuse the wh he said leave it with me I'll think about it and so I came back a couple of days he said I've checked it is your son's birthday brilliant no away you go great okay so has SW braveman been offered a million pounds to go into I'm a celebrity in the second week it's false it's absolutely false es McVey has been appointed Minister for common sense by rishy sonak with a brief to tackle the rise of wokery Stephen A is it true and B is there any point to that whatsoever Ron is not dead she has been appointed um because basically she brings an authentic well a WHL accent into it I I don't know what's going to happen with her and Philip her husband who because they do a joint program on another TV channel so I'm not sure what going to happen about that well I mean is this could this literally be richy saying I've had enough of them gobbing off on the Telly make a minister well I think it's he's going to realize that the four Great off is a state currently held by Bloks which is pretty much unique and so he says you know you know I've got to find a woman from somewhere what's her name you know the one who's always gobbing off on what's name get get up which one nan no no no the other one it is don't mention Penny Morant it is it is a joke though pet oh yeah so this is the thing it's true but it's a joke do you know do you know that scene in um uh I think it's the Snoopy the peanuts one where Charlie Brown and em and Lucy are kind of kicking the football and Lucy keeps pulling the football this is what I believe this is you know every time we see it like oh they going to tackle the wery I just believe that it's just like the government just pulling the ball away right at the last minute because I just don't believe it's gonna happen with so she might have this she might have this nice shiny new role and she might have all the best intentions but again do something and I just don't see but Ben but Ben she is the Member of Parliament for taton she's the only northerner that's going to be left I mean it's like you know just this sea of red and one little bit on the sorry it's chesher it's football as wild he could have appointed Andrea Jenkins and she actually represents a seat in the north less said about her the better well she's put in she's put confidence history no I I just she wrote that stupid letter of no confidence in richy I thought that my favorite my favorite was under David ceron will come on to him in a minute where Andrew bridgin only ever withdrew his letter so he could publicly publicly announce he was putting it in it's like I've had that letter taken out for at least 48 hours but it's like you know shutting people down by giving them uh jobs like with you know I love him to bit Lee Anderson MP he was extremely vocal on lots of different topics and unfortunately he's had to come in the line a bit since been my Deputy chairman I don't know if he's in line by the way he's more in line than he was he they're using him I don't know if Le's aware of this but he is their straw man put him out take all the flak pretend that we're Senter right and you know and then we'll put you back in your box when you've done all of that no the thing about Esther which is really interesting to me to make someone minister of Common Sense is to admit that otherwise the government is without common sense and it's one hell of an admission isn't it it really I mean I like esic very very much but if that's the only thing that keeps you saying then you've got to be very worried but is it true that she's been made a minister for common sense sadly so it's absolutely true okay Ben a special one for you Nigel frage has claimed he will be leader of of the conservative party by 2026 is it true or is it false I think that's highly unlikely it would be the end of the conservative party we do need to unite the right that's absolutely right absolutely correct absolutely right but one of the problems with being center right and essentially libertarian is that we all have independent ways of thinking and so we all want to chart our own paths and it's very difficult then to come together in a coher form whereas socialists on the left stepen will know more about this than I will obvious the labor party what know hang on a second that's the phone going yes yes okay uh it's our social media editor who said if benhabib says that Nigel's going to win I'm a celebrity it'll be good for social media so benhabib with mind and B mind B mind were trying to do well with the rating then um in fact I'll do it like this I'll put I'll put the cards up I go Ben do you think that Nigel fra is going to win I'm a celebrity there is no doubt that he is going to win I'm a celebrity those who hate him will want him to stay there until the end and eat as many bugs as possible and those who love him will want him to be there is no way Nigel's coming back with anything other than the Crown there'll be some people perhaps including Steven pound who'll still be phoning to keep in the jungle in six years I've got a lot of time for now I mean the problem is's going to have there is Australia is basically the land of ler there's no drinking in the jungle though I understand he's got permission to smoke have you heard about this he's got special permission to this is what I've heard it's a rumor so we we'll see when we watch the program puffing away it's like when you remember bill wanck was the world snooker Champion he had special permiss to drink 10 pints of lgo day you the audious or what I Alex Higgins was allowed to smoke at The Crucible so you know think for the Stars yeah but Nigel F I have to say if you had to say who's the most influential politicians for the last 20 I think so by well no you put thater and you you put Blair obviously but I have to say he is a game changer he's also a thoroughly decent blow I I really I desperately want to hate him I wake up I wake up half an hour early in the morning so I can try to hate him for a bit longer to have a 30 minutes hate yeah that's not a hate that's a love that's a love he gets up early goes Mrs pound do you go to the shop a good George O referen good 1984 yeah yeah no no but he he is but what Ian the fact he's a posh public school boy from dich is neither here nor there make a note to that would you but but interesting you know where is he going to go because he stood for P I think what seven eight nine times you know not massively success well in fact I don't know I mean in thanet I mean the conservative party the conservative party threw everything at it and they got done for elal fraud they yeah they well in fact they did get done for they well it's a bit like the appointment of the foreign secretary isn't that isn't that a form of electoral fraud just B over democracy it does yeah F funny enough funny enough the last person to get a ministerial job in the House of Lords was Peter mandelson and I I came past him on the escalator this isn't a very interesting St I was just thinking I should have been able to tell you something so were you going up or she going down I know it was it was it was just badly thought through well I can't make anything up he'll sue me yes I bumped into Lord mandon he said hey Andre great to see you what he what he going down he didn't say that did he no he didn't no okay so is Nigel frage going to or claiming that he might be leader of the conservative party by 2026 that's false it's absolutely true oh my God oh my God literally told you my god did he really make that claim think he just being I've been asleep at the wheel I have to say that that lordes to but this was after a lockin yeah that's true following his return to the public eye David Cameron will also be making a cameo in the new series of Peppa Pig come on Come on B that was quite funny actually because I bought the guys in a Peppa Pig Advent calendar as a present today and I thought well maybe you know there's a relation to the story I don't think he's going to be in Peppa Pig is he but I mean you know but I can't believe he been joned in I just can't believe talking about this before weren't we they're not even pretending to be Democratic it's unbelievable I love I love my favorite David Cameron story was when he left his daughter in the P that and he later said well I've got a motorc so it's unclear who's in what I did defend him earlier Steven pound said I was defending the indefensible because I did say that when you have nannies and things it sometimes mixups do happen well that that's your world not what's what's extraordinary though with with with David Cameron this perod and let's just return to it for a second the in real most modern former Prime Ministers Do not sit in the House of Lords and you and I know it's because of Declarations of financial interest they do not in the case of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown It's innate modesty but keep the line how impressive but Cameron has let has you know been able to get the best of both possible worlds because he didn't go into the Lord straight away like he probably should have done he's been able to make huge amounts of money and then he goes back in So Pete yeah so yeah I saw this article about he said like Daddy's back that is very weird I'm sure it was in the telegraphic comment piece but I yeah I have to admit I when he got out of the the uh the car and everyone was just like it's David Cameron because everyone was who's the dad because I don't think apparently it's all been orchestrated by William HG though about how to get him back into cabin I read the times this morning don't worry I'm not going to make any rest I I I I don't know I think this is a big gamble I think for richy sonak because he was not really the most popular ex- prime minister at the moment and I know in 2018 is yeah that's true Pete Pete Pete can I ask you this I mean my my instinct on this is I think that soel braveman shouldn't have been sacked I agreed with a lot of the things that she did um but personally for me a former prime minister being foreign secretary I I have no problem with it yeah his experience is definitely there let's not forget he was prime minister for six years he was the leader of the party for what 10 11 years Al although to be fair he managed to not win the election against Gordon Brown I me that is that's hard remember remember Gordon Brown had to stop his campaign for call a voter bigot on she's just a bigoted Lindsay Lindsay H the speaker had made a statement for statement in the house yesterday and he said you know this particular I won't I won't do it Lancashire accent I'll do it Go Go passes the black pudding mother B of I'm sorry I'm I'm from London but no he he he making the point he said with all this you know with with the situation in Gaza you know with Ukraine you know we're going to have a foreign secretary who cannot be answerable to the house of commment you here to be answerable in the House of Lords therefore he in this case will have to have a an Oppo an understudy in the this is not about Lord Carrington who was in the House of Lords and foreign secretary in 1982 much more different and his understudy by the way is none other than Andrew Mitchell of I know I'm just building up to that I've stolen your thunder Andrew Thrasher Mitchell who who he and I used to go to a lot of Prisons together we did polian when he called the policeman a plan that's right well yeah but we we used to do this this thing about joint Enterprise about people who being sent to prison we used to go he used to turn up in a Range r with half a dozen hunting dogs in the back which is caus Mayhem with the prison officers but but the point being that he is actually a very very strong International Development person he's a person increasing the amount of money we spend on International Development and third world Aid is that what we want well no I'm building up your build up Pages sorry sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry that that was that was that ejaculation was premature I apologize for HR ejaculation is a technical term for saying something quickly well it is Look in the dictionary that was legal again no but this is the big thing about Cameron returning and you're right with the foreign aid aspect because Cameron was a big critic of uh the the Boris Johnson's government about cutting legal a lot legal foreign aid sorry and and yeah and and he has said some things about the about the last few years um that he's gonna have to either roll back or just say I said it as by the way what with what with him putting the wait on he will be able to roll effectively but anyway Lois um has David Cameron decided to go into Peppa Pig is it true or is it false false it's absolutely false that was the woke that was continues after the break on the 12th day of woke must my true love sent to me 12 strikker striking 11 vegans munching 10 planks protesting nine Biden sleeping eight cops are dancing seven gror crying 6,000 genders the BBC four traitor trolls three BM to Hypocrites and a mean documentary it's the world's number one interview show the new Global home of big debates and big questions this is really unfair why we'll explain why for all the big names when I say I am God I'm not joking you're going you're going to resign because I cannot continue my work did you feel elv this was a controlling influence on you and the good news you've already found it all new peers Morgan uncensored right here Monday to Thursday 8:00 [Music] p.m. welcome back to that was the woke that was okay so now it is my opportunity to talk about this week's prize and it is a cker uh do you remember that uh Jeremy Corbin stormed out of an interview with Piers Morgan he left a prototype copy an advanced copy of his new book entitled poetry for the many by him and Len MOS Len moski um it's uh it's not the most expensively produced item in the world I don't know if it's got a section on Jews but uh but anyway yeah it's under World conspiracy World conspiracy absolutely so okay so let's see who's going to win this it's time for the woke rabbit so do you uh do you like this book do you think that poetry by Jeremy Corbin is something that you aspire to be involved with I love Jeremy Corbin I mean he should really have been our prime minister I think I'm really looking forward to reading this when I win it later are you delighted are you pleased to have met Steve pound former labor MP not in the Lords yet I was I mean I'm your I'm your biggest fan you know serving under Jeremy Corbin he's my best friend and I I I'm just so happy to have met you okay so what are the scores zero points for everyone zero points for everyone my favorite rabbit it's not Lois's favorite rabbit okay so she's got a pet he is he is rampant that was okay vandals have destroyed over 10 million pounds worth of ules cameras in the last six months is it true or is it false well I know this to be true because these are the Blade Runners aren't they that running around London chopping down all the uh qes cameras and all the rest of it and I don't know really where I stand with this because it's a difficult one because I'm very anti-u I I think it's a terrible terrible policy and Boris Johnson never should have introduced it yeah that's true and that is true that in there early mind you you should building up to that you should Steve should never have introduced Sadi Khan in general but no but you were saying yeah as I was saying but no but and this is the point is I I don't you we can't criticize the likes of justop oil and not criticize the Blade Runners they are basically two of the same same types of protests and I it is a really difficult one I actually think but it is staggering how much damage they've been able to cause in a relatively short amount of time I will I will admit but yeah a a system of cameras by the government and it's difficult do you know it always makes me laugh when people go oh what are the government going to do with all this all your data stick it on a pen drive and lose it Andre I was in B&Q the other day because I've just got a new greenhouse on my on my allotment and this is a busy time of year sorry Steve yeah you've got an allotment d i I listen mate I'm the chairman of the framfield allotment Association Central really it's the framfield alotment association they've said they've said they've said this was a sickening coup our previous chairman of many years was destroyed well no no he's compost now but the point what they did say what they did say they said that but they said that Steve pound was a little bit lonely having left Parliament so he sits in his alotment now smiling away still dealing with leaks this is this is serious point I went into BQ and I'm I'm chatting to a friend of mine the guy who who's on the he said he said you don't want another bloody angle grinder do I said what do you he said we've had people comeing there all day asking for angle grinder he said I said he said yeah you're know they're using them before don't I said well grinding angles he said no the ulz calendar I said what are you going to do about that he said well order some more in aren't so it's like it's like P it's like Steve if you go into a sports shop now you can't buy a baseball bat on its own you can only buy a ball as well the reason is the reason is if if a I mean you must not do this so we would encourage you to do anything illegal but if a burglar comes into your house and you're whacking with a baseball bat and then you can't demonstrate an interest in baseball maybe get some baseball cards to just have them around the house so go they go you've got a bat where's the ball they now sell them I suppose it's the same theory that at Halloween you know they used to stop people buying just single cartons of eggs didn't they like if you're under a certain age and flow and stuff like that I suppose it's the same principle but no I it's just stag how how much did you say it was that 10 million 10 million that's incredible I wonder because but compared to how much they actually raise the US it's not exactly the biggest in the budget you know what when when the phone rang before I was tempted for the third time to do my Margaret Thatcher it's the ghost of Margaret Thatcher she says You Les if you want to the L's not you if you want to the L is not indeed okay so is Mikey Arwood is dead by have have has 10 million pound worth of damage been done to you those cameras it's true it's absolutely true anybody want to buy an angle grinder so to uh to to stevenh pound okay a crowdfunding campaign to fly Pro Palestinian activists to Gaza has raised 4 million pounds is it true or is it false orin's book would it take no it's got to be false I I've got to be honest with you I find it extraordinary all of these people who are saying how Gaza is wonderful how the Palestinians were wonder I mean you know the quer for Palestine guys just find Absolut maybe we should send them well I'm sorry Gaye for Jass is is is a pretty Niche there's not many of them no is there would be none of them if they went to Gaza but Steve why is it that that people on the political left are so obsessed with Israel because as far as I'm concerned there are plenty of causes in the Islamic world that are certainly worse than what's going on in at the weers the Chinese are slaughtering the we you know the amount of Slaughter between Iran and Iraq and what's happening in in Syria you know South Sudan you know where do you want to stop I don't what amazes me I mean I'm I'm much much much older than anybody in this in fact anybody in this city I think but but I I remember when Israel was The Shining Light the people that had made the Desert Bloom they come out there and you have these you know kotes and all that well you a lot of us actually went and worked on the kibuts because it was a great almost like a rise of v and somehow it's it's transmog ified from that into this this presid business where I've got a bit of a theory about why a lot of young people are anti-israel and and I don't think it's necessarily anti-Semitism in itself I think they see it wrongly as a a Col an example of colonialism and they're anti- capitalist and I think that I think that Israel is being I think that's why am I allowed a year to disagree with you totally okay you can do it twice if you yeah yeah no I I simply simply don't see that I think it's it's bizarre how it's I mean maybe they're now actually picketing Gail you the woman who played Wonder Woman oh yeah you happens to be Israel you know and she's beautiful by the [Laughter] way it's Wonder Woman she says she says there's only one thing I've ever dreamed of in my life and it's a night out with Steven P can can I say Solomon the the the the Spurs ins Wing play is actually quite tasty when you were a labor MP did you start to see within your own Association your own local party more of these obsessives coming in there there are a few people who and I think there comes a point where it Segways into a degree of anti-Semitism yes I I don't you can deny that but but on the other hand I the people who just show this absolute total complete Fury and yet they not not for other issues no well always been my thing on that and sorry to but you know when they when they always talk about oh it's about it's about the children dying and all like well where have you been on Yemen where have you been on South sud if if you're that concerned about it why why is it just this one issue that you're now hyper hyper aware of and I I I I do find this entire thing has been fascinating from a kind of sociological point of view where we've got here just there are 23 Arab countries around Gaza most of whom most of which don't want to support Hamas yes don't want to support Palestines they want peace with as I've said as I've said before then it's the first territorial dispute in history where the loser has to keep it it's unbelievable it's also where they where they one side of them actually living in five star hotels in Dubai absolutely I mean that is that is that is one thing and I'm sorry pet I will come to you in a second but that is one thing Stephen that does worry me the way that we give money to these regimes and very often it just enriches a few people at the top well this is a nightmare I mean the the first hospital remember those hospital they thought of been but is actually funded by the Anglican Church yeah it's actually but yeah and fair play to the Anglican church but on the other hand when you're surrounded by the wealthiest people on God's green earth you think they could actually do something about look what's going on in the moment in Pakistan where um there expelling a million afgh refugees no one saying anything hang on a second they've been there for 30 years in many many the worst the worst one was the worst one was he used to get these blocks from Birmingham going over to the Levant to the Christians who've been there for 3,000 years saying get out your Crusaders I don't I don't fully understand how that works how wonderful to hear the expression the I just I just don't know where it is are you also going to talk about cath so the thing I was going to pick up on it is me and you were on the radio a couple of weeks ago and there was this chapy rang in and he was saying how it's outraged this is saying has outraged the Muslim world and my thought was after it was well where are they where are they where are they and I think the point that you were making Ben is well you got all surrounded by all these heavy Muslim nations majority Muslim and nobody seems to want to support her including a border with Egypt open I mean they shut it they shut that border down literally the moment that happened and I mean if this this is some kind of international moment for the kind of the Muslim world I I don't I'll tell you what I think the problem is again moment of seriousness is everyone derives the righteousness of the Palestinian cause through the 1948 settlement and the dis of Palestinians but at some point you've got to move on you've got to look forward Israel exists there is no solution that's peaceful that involves the obliteration of Israel and they will fight rightly to protect themselves against that that possibility the only world yeah Israel is a nuclear power it is a nuclear power Iran is possibly a nuclear power yeah and the and and they have a right to want to exist but but but of course Ben as you you've alluded to and the the whole issue of whether Israel has a right to exist becomes wholly irrelevant when the S with weapons you come touch us and we'll touch you back yeah and and the other Arab countries recognize it the reason this kicked off by the way is because Saudi was about to recognize Israel I was just about to ask as was Kuwait and as was and Iran hated that and Iran put Hamas up to the attack this has been this has been my theory since day one of all of this and I think it goes back to the kind of the normalization between relations between Israel and a lot of these Arab Nations and I think Iran and and they like you said they edged on her her Mass to do this and I think people kind of forget that that's really how this the Abraham Accords was actually Trump's greatest achievement yes it you won't hear that many things from me about Mr Trump you like Nigel you like Trump there's something going on here Sten too long no no no do you know what happened to him Steve pound was on the labor front bench on Corbin and saw the error of his it started go he started going I mean in that election in that election I mean obviously you were voting for yourself but had you I never voted for myself presumptuous had had you not lived in your own constituency I mean did you want labor to actually win of course I always want labor to win but under Corbin but no hang on a I I've supported the same football team since 1958 sometimes I haven't been oh oh oh okay yes well I'm Mr C I'm very happy to do that and we will yeah no problem okay so Jeremy Corbin says as penants for not being a fullsome supporter of him which which which you claim you are you have to read no no I didn't oh yes you did you have to you have to read you have to read one of his poems oh read the poem read the poem you read earlier Sick Puppies what what have we got in that book read the one that you read before but it's mostly by Ken Loach and oh hang on a second here is on Cal this is a good word yeah K in winter is cold and hard but C in summer is busy and happy but but hot and tense for the enemy Cal where Wars are fought and minerals abound where money is made and people disappear what it's just that is a Corbin po what is it an Ode to Illegal migrants I did that I just got that the problem is what what he's actually done is just got a series of words on a piece of paper throw well William burrow did that there a technic called cut up and it in the Naked Lunch it was very effective are bloody sight better than that if you don't win today are any of you going to buy this book I will never buy that book I want to watch my hands having touched them there are certain people for whom I have to buy Christmas presents whom I do not love yeah that's true the thing is it's like if a man buys your garage floors he knows he hates you right that you know if anyone bought I bought my wife the AA road map and a box OFA Russia for and and and a bottle of screen wash has a crowdfunding site raised 4 million to send Pro Palestinian activist to Gaza it's absolutely false that was the woke that was continues after the break will they break the gender and then never will then I'm it's here now that's what I call woke She's Always a person with the cervix to me 44 Smash Hits now with more inclusive lyrics man I feel gender fluid I iic Tunes updated for the modern listener love is to the left of me vegans to the right here I am stuck on the M1 with you can only geter I want to know what a woman is here in my car I am killing the Earth with my toxic exhaust it's a selfish way to live no trigger warning required oh the wokey C W the wokey C Oh My Little ufile My ufile when you're going to follow me back Rona Now That's What I Call woke not streaming [Music] now welcome back to that was the woke that was the health secretary has told NHS Chiefs to stop promoting woke ideology as 13 million has been spent on diverse Des ours true that is true that is true and it's a tragedy that we've wasted so much money on training them to do a job which they don't need to be doing they need to medically treat the nation they don't need to be identifying what their gender is that's too simplistic I know I've got friend I've got friend of mine so this is a man with with Trump's tie is this Trump's tie I've got friend of mine who uh went to the staff side meeting at guys and Thomas' the other day that's a meeting between the Trade union and the whatever and the main Trade union guy put a slide about Lenin Len and then his second slide was about how little time Trade union activists have because they have to do their actual job instead of how terrible horr can I make a suggestion we could do something radical and we could actually fire the directors of the NHS yeah that's right I mean because people keep forgetting that there is a step between doctors and the health secretary and it's the people who actually run the NHS can we just get rid of those people because how many times have we had a question that talks about the diversity training in the NHS about how they needs to be cut and it needs to be slowed down and all the rest of it and yet again nothing has happened but n Bon said it should it should actually you remember he said if you drop a bed pan in a hospital Ward The Sound should echo down whiteall he said it should actually be from the hospital to the health secretary we've now created this I mean I spent 10 years at the middle sex hospital as a porter and and oddly enough as a trade Union activist as well yeah I just find it it's staggering occupation is Hospital Porter I was for 10 years yeah it's all right well I was I was at Sea before that and then then I was on the buses but technically at Sea well I mean I thought he went to the London School of Economics actually was just he was just lugging around corpses really okay thanks a lot that's the ghost of your patience the union sponsored me to do the trade Union studies course in 1980 when I was very very old um to go to the London School of Economics what was laughingly called mature student so to Ben is it true that the health secretor has told NHS Chiefs to stop promoting woke ideology having spent 13 million it is absolutely shockingly true it's absolutely true okay Lois yes the National Trust has been accused of going woke after launching a charity calendar that excludes Christmas and Easter but promotes other religious festivals what do you mean the National Trust is going woke they think they think woke for ages in fact haven't they had loads of controversy about it about my my favorite example was the guy who was an anti-slavery campaigner but because he'd invested in a ship his brother-in-law was sailing uh that was owned by the British East India Company he's been done for being a slave trader absolutely unbelievable but it wasn't it like the Edward couston statue he didn't actually he wasn't actually a slave I mean that was that was that was the extraordinary thing about Edward coulston in Bristol he wasn't a slave trader he had some campaign the people have campaigned against slavery no Edward Edward coulston was a member of the worst full company of Mercers he was a merchant in the city of London and then he was made the the assistant governor of the British the Royal Africa company as a as a titular thing and they traded slaves in one of their divisions and that is that is the claim he a huge benefactor of Bristol Bristol wouldn't be the city it is if it wasn't for Edward and they tipped him in the flipping seven mean if you're going to get tipped in the river for being a slave trader at least be a slave trader yeah they got it they got it I just want to pick up what Lois said just bring it back to the question for the National Trust they have been wrapped in this Scandal for years now I mean I think they lost quite a good number of members and there was a petition to get the chief executive removed but that somehow failed and it's just been one thing after another after another I think English Heritage has been wrapped up in this controversy as well where they just seem to be injecting this woke ideology into the national into the kind of restorations of the homes and on all these big country states and all the rest of it and it is getting exhausting at this point where this stuff is just becoming so normalized and it has to stop but again I I go back to the point I always make on this show is that people don't have ideas ideas have people and I think the national J is an exact prime example of this because they're just so obsessed with it and they they can't let it go they can't let it go and they're captured by it but but but that's what these people live for I mean you see a lot of these companies which are now being destroyed at the expense of the shareholders and the economy to make the managers uh make managers feel better I mean it look I don't understand Steve what has happened to the political left because I look at the great things the labor party has done over the years the Trade union movement The Cooperative movement my dad was the director of the co-op and now they just seem obsessed with issues that aren't going to help Working Class People but actually just denigrate I I don't think there's a Direct Read across between some of these people you're talking about and the labor party a lot of these people actually have nothing to do with the labor party in fact they despise and detest us because they they think that you know we're the people who actually diluting the the purity of the cause but there certainly I I take you entirely point but the the things like sorry this rabbit look at look below you Steve hospital hosit I wasn't I'm not ashamed of it he's had his pound of Flesh yes the Flesh of pounda no 640 middle sex Branch Co that was yeah cozy the people that change the beds their trade unions called cozy just love it so what what we talking about oh never mind okay so has the National Trust been accused of going woke after launching a calendar that exclude Christmas and Easter is it true or is it false true oh well coming from the people of the National Trust you put um you know warnings on their tea saying it was racist in their cafes I read about that RAC yeah well tea is institutionally racist apparently good so uh so yeah I think that that would definitely be true unfortun Lois he preempts it but it's absolutely true thank you st France J so what are the final scores woke rabbit okay come on W grab it it's for the Len matosky and Jeremy Corbin poetry ball you know I really I really really wanted this one Andre but I think I have to give it to labor veteran Steven pound tonight the winner is Steven pound and congratulations Stephen you've got the book now what are you going to do with the book you were on his front bench now now now Stephen I think that you should read the woke wabbit a poem as a bedtime treat are you gonna go and sit next to and W grabbit go on sit on his knee right don't sit on his don't sit on his KN don't sit on hisy I say most action I've had all year so Steven will now pick a poem to read the world habit this process may take a couple of moments are you did it comfortable oh [Laughter] God Cal in Winter not again you haven't heard this bit all right cold wet [Music] o you don't want it to be cold and wet she want it to be hot and cold wet marant surround C winter police take tents away from the homeless the railway station is protected with razor wire motorways have walls on each side trees are cut down to create open land and huge rocks prevent anyone leaving a road there is fear in Cal so that is a reading from the Jeremy Corin book it's out soon don't bother by this it really is what are you doing ler it is it is absolutely tged I'm off now to apologize to HR for Steven
