TEXT TO SPEECH - TWITCH CHANNEL POINT REDEEMABLE - LIORANBOARD

hello keys andy lippy here back with another on board video and today we're taking a look at text to speech this is something that leon's pretty much just added directly into the orange ball but it does take a couple of steps to get it all up and running so i'm going to run through that for you and we'll i'll make it dead easy okay make sure you do like the video and also subscribe because i've make sure you do like subscribe please like stone let's get on with it [Music] so if you're watching this you're probably using the onboard already but if you're not check out my video just up here to get that all installed and up and running and run through all the basics for you when you start installing some stuff so let's go to the lyron board folder just here the thing that we're going to install is lb notification system if you double click that there's a how to just here if we open this up you're able to see the pretty detailed instructions on how to install this whole section so i'm not going to go through this now because it will take quite a while um to get this started though if we just go into laurenboard and then go to install extension press uh okay we're gonna select an extension file go to lb notification system in the lower onboard folder and we're just gonna double click on that one there selecting the transmitter we're gonna go back to the main folder and you'll see tsl underscore transmitter we're going to use that and we are going to replace it because it's going to overwrite it and this is going to now tell us how to get this all installed and run through some things that we need to do so we need to put make sure we set up a load of different sources inside of obs so i'm going to start that now i'm going to hit got it so we're going to create a scene called layer on board notification so i'm going to copy that just there press plus sign on my scenes and then i'm just going to paste it directly into here leon board notification hit okay and then straight away the onboard is going to realize that you've done that we're just going to do the same now for image sources just here so if i hit copy press the plus create an image source paste that in there press ok hit ok on that and you'll see straight away that that's grayed out now because we've done it we're just going to do the same for all of them so i'll be back in just a second so once that's done it's going to ask you to make six text sources which i'm just going to do following the exact same process we copy that we're going to press the plus sign go down to text source paste that in there press ok and you know you've done it right because it will gray out just as so and then just carry on for the rest of these including the color source at the bottom once all that's done you get keep back to the main menu and you probably know is that everything's resized itself perfectly inside of obs and everything is installed if we open this up now you'll see a ton of buttons the one that we're interested in is tts text to speech if we right click that we go to edit commands we're going to make sure that make this one to enable tts keep in mind tts doesn't work in browser source you have to use chrome so for this to work you can't just have your transmitter open inside of obs or in a source or anything like that you will need to close that down and open it inside of google chrome and it has to be chrome it can't be any other browser so to do that we just jump to our main folder and open tsl transmitter and you'll see that you've got it installed because it'll say text-to-speech installed just here so i'm just going to make this a little bit smaller move it out of the way if i press test now you should see we've got sound now and it says hello world you won't be able to hear that on on the video in fact if i turn it up you might be able to so hit test hello world and you'll be able to hear hello world so that means we've got text to speech all turned on now we need to kind of create a command for text-to-speech to work so i'm going to create a new scene just at the side here this blank scene and i'm also going to go into the aurora board and create a new command so to do that we're going to go hit done i'm going to create a new deck i'm just going to call it text to speech for now so i'll just call it tts and i'm going to right click and create a blank button and inside this button we're going to add a small command so i'm just going to type in tts uh redeem i can't can't type today press create right click again go to add commands um the the first thing actually rather than under command let's add the trigger so i'm going to use this you could use it for anything bits subs anything like that but i'm going to use for this example point redeem with message so that's the channel points and using a message so the redeem that i've got already set up should be um text to speech so if you don't know how to set up a channel point redeemable that is just on twitch there's loads of videos out there exactly how to do that i just want to try and keep this video as short as possible so i've got text to speech just here i'm going to hit done the reason why we leave that as a star by the way is because a star is a wild card it stands for anything so whatever message is in there we're going to use that information from um so hit done i'm going to add a command now press the plus sign and we're going to pull the information so if i type in trigger pull because this is basically using the twitch trigger it's pulling information from the twitch trigger so i want to pull them the text to speech user so their username to find out what value we want to pull if we hit plus sign go to help you'll see all the information is just here so i'm wanting to pull a trigger pull just here and we're using a channel point redeem trigger you can see here zero is the name of the person redeeming it so we want to put zero in there um or we want to use one for the name of the redeemable or two for the user message so we're gonna use zero to pull the person's username we don't want it to be real because we want it to be um a string so i'm now gonna create another trigger pull because we've got the person's name we want to pull the person's message so i'm going to type in tts and score message and then use trigger 2 because if you remember on the help guide it says 2 is the user's message just like so and we're going to turn that to false as well because we don't we want that to be a string so just text next what we need to do is send this information to an extension so the extension that we've just installed is the text to speech function that is part of what we did in that settle process for some reason if that's not there make sure you're connected to your um tsl transmitter in in uh inside of leon board and then it should be there so hit text to speech so in text-to-speech this is where we're going to change what message we want to be displayed and this is the information that we pulled on from that trigger so the tts message so i'm just going to copy that type in slash dollar sign paste tts and score message dollar sign slash because then that's going to use that variable as the text that we're going to use to read out the voice that we're going to use you can get a full list of these the one i'm going to use is google uk english female you can get a full list of them if you just google it uh the pitch is how how high pitch we want it to be i'm just gonna put one for both speed and pitch play around with that to get it to sound exactly as you want it to do hit done hit done again once that's done you won't feel like you've done anything at all but if we go now into twitch chat just here press on the point redeemable or whichever system that you've used to to do it press text-to-speech i'm gonna put this is a test this is a test so you can hear it does come through just like so so that's exactly how to get it to work i mean you could take this further if you really wanted to if you go back into command and go to the redeem edit the command you could even put the username just here so if i do slash dollar uh paste the name in there dollar sign and slash again said uh so right now it says user said message hit done hit done again go over to mario you got make sure you press done otherwise it won't save okay this is another test and if he said this is another test so as you can hear andy lippy says this is another test it is and that's exactly how to get that to work you can take that even further if you wanted to as well uh if you wanted you could bring the message up on screen so if i hit the plus in sources add a text box i'm just going to pull this username you can call it whatever you like you can obviously i'm just going to type a name in here for now so i can just position stuff where i want it to be i'm just going to leave that change the font play around with it as much as you want so username hit name there i'm going to create another text box and call this one message just there again um this is just for you to mess around with and get it looking as pretty as you want it i'm just gonna put it here like so um a fiddle about with all the settings because it depends how long the message is going to be etc it might take a little bit of um a testing to get something that looks right now and we need to fill that text in so if we go back to leon board hit right click and go to edit we're going to add another command at this time we're going to type in text um gdi we want it to change the text so the source we're going to use if we scroll all the way down you should see it we've got a username so the username what do we want it to be we want it to be that slash dollar sign tts underscore user dollar sign slash um and we could even add said again if you want to just like that and hit plus again and we're going to add another text source this time we're going to change the the message that we've got so if i type in message you can see just here message i'm going to type in slash dollar sign tts underscore message dollar sign slash hit done just like so and then we go back over into twitch chat use the redeemable text-to-speech but this is my final test it done and he said this is my final test as you can see it will take a little bit of structure in and everything like that but if you um use formatting like for for centering the text and things like that and and cramming it together it'll work just fine less is more with that sort of stuff but that's how to do text-to-speech within liaon board and even display it on screen if you wanted to so i've got loads of stuff like that on my channel so if you want
