this rebels are facing a bust win game to get to 500 to get poised for a run at the postseason they're back home in Oxford in a light show to get the night started on se [Applause] rebels two and two in campers played trying to do better than that Texas am still looking to hit their stride welcome everybody Tom Hart alongside Jord Rogers will hear from coach Oobleck in just a little bit this Ole Miss offense has been dynamic since they handed the reins to John Rice Plumlee he's one of the best running quarterbacks we've seen in the SEC and sometimes so we take a look at tonight's star watch brought to you by State Farm and we focus on the freshman sprinter and it's really his athleticism that sets him apart no matter if it's down by the goal line or in the middle of the field if you give him a play to grass he's gonna make you pay and the problem is the defense has to account for him as a runner every single play he's a run first but he's developing as a passer and this offense completely changed the day he stepped on the field and we do expect to see two quarterbacks tonight the thrower Mac Corral also a freshman will be in there as well he's a redshirt freshman Plumlee is putting up historical numbers he's the first Ole Miss quarterback ever to cross the century mark in rushing yards in three consecutive games haven't seen that in this league since Tim Tebow this is an Ole Miss program rebuilding their young on both sides of the ball for more on that youth let's go down to the field and Cole Kubek well Tom you mentioned some of the freshmen quarterbacks youth around those freshman quarterbacks as well there could be as many as eight freshmen on the field at the same time when Ole Miss has the football the good news however those freshmen have accounted for 84 percent of the offense for the rebels this season bad news is freshmen don't always build with a win games experience does a team comes in to vaught-hemingway Stadium tonight that a lot of people believe is better and more talented can those freshmen find a way to put it together this evening we haven't seen a quarterback leave the SEC in rushing since Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M he's by the way the last Texas A&M quarterback to sweep through the Mississippi schools Jimbo Fisher was hired as a premium coach a national championship winner they paid for stakes so far they're getting burgers they I win tonight to try to keep their hopes alive yeah we all know how tough the schedule was to start this season this is an important for game stretch for Texas A&M to get some momentum going into Georgia going into LSU at the end of the season and the focal point for this team is Kelly Mon hasn't really taken the step that I expected them to but the one game has to help him out in order for this offense to get going lately he has been the run game over this shuffled and revamped Texas A&M offensive line so you talk about a must-win for both sides Jimbo struggled on the run since he got to Aggieland he needs a win here tonight to try to keep that recruiting momentum going as AM expects to put to build a championship program so far we just haven't seen it Matt Luke told us yesterday he said I'm an emotional guy and this is his program and it's a program that as Cole mentioned has incredible youth they are dynamic and they seem to be hitting their stride despite the fact that they're coming off the Washington we actually got great momentum from our game against Alabama where the offense looked dynamic I think that's where they found their confidence and I think it was really John Rice Plumlee his ability to make plays against the vaunted Alabama defense they down there continued to build on it ever since Ole Miss won the toss they've elected to the FIR am will receive asked John Rice yesterday said were you surprised at you success against Alabama he said well once they got on the field I said this isn't much different from high school the last time you heard a guy say that about Alabama's defense like well the fields fifty three and a third you know the hashes are a little closer no no it's Alabama but that's what I love about this freshman nothing fazes him confidence in spades Anaya Smith back to receive for this Texas A&M team from about the two he's got a seam and takes it out to the 25 so Kevin mine we won the job in the off season another in a long line of great quarterbacks under Jimbo Fisher six three to 17 he's been great this season when it comes to his versatility but they'd love for that running game to help him out a little bit and expect more design quarterback runs for I've been struggling to get anything going on the ground the compliment and balance out the past [Applause] Monda play-action gets trapped [Applause] led by Sam Williams and the leaks tackle for loss leader Benigno Jones mrs. Sam Williams did a great job of being patient off the edge of that arcing around the defender to get to kallen monde slow plays it got a black curcumin makes a great move and that is so tough for quarterback play-action going to your left if you don't have a lot of spaces tough to fit your hips in time too [Applause] Isiah spinner the running back mine too the perimeter Zeb protects Rogers and quickly third down and long trainin they have to get more involved just one reception for five yards last week that's unacceptable he's a big target he's ass expect away in third downs [Applause] day but he fails it hi defended by Romani liquor in am will go three and out on their first possession [Music] my Ole Miss got to Kellan mom early in that series and on that one didn't hit home but they made him move his feet he moved his feet and he was inaccurate with the throw Cortney Davis was there but it wasn't able to be accurate because they had to move his feet step in the pocket good job by Ole Miss nm was torched by the Alabama punt return game last week the reigning Ray Guy Award winner Brayton man gets it away angle that's about perfect and it goes out of bounds [Applause] so the league's rushing leader John rice Plumlee takes the field he's got Matt corral right behind him don't be surprised if Rich Rodriguez drives up a play with both quarterbacks on the field a time or two tonight I feel like every game we see Plumlee play Rich Rodriguez gets more creative with what they do InDesign quarterback ones highlight a few of them but there is an arsenal of quarterback runs for that guy right there John rice Plumlee a two-sport star he'll be playing baseball for the Ole Miss program and Mike Bianco and his spring every Monday goes to the cages and gets in his hacks with Jerry and Ely we will see in the backfield tonight with him let's come in Plumlee gives it up and Phillips the patience turns it into a gain of six and first down John rice Plumlee looking to be the most prolific runner at quarterback for Ole Miss in their history Jeremiah Masoli with 544 yards nine years ago Phillips on the toss finds just one Anthony Hinds with the technique I love this little toss Reed you're going to see Plumlee work this a lot who's going to have the ability to keep him toss it and I guarantee at some point we see a pass play off that as well now third of three corner blitz Plumlee taking it on his own and he gets spun around will be short of the first down - Marvin Liao starting at one end spot in there to make the stop that's a great play by Leal talk too deep into coordinator Mike Elko on the field before the game though Michael Clemons for Texas A&M so the Marvin liao the true freshman is going to have a big responsibility being that defensive end that Ole Miss will read on a lot of plays a good start for him on a stop on third down Anke is missing a handful of players in this game tonight [Applause] fantastic coverage illness special-teams miles Hartsfield able to get downfield both teams have traded punts early in this one and is Smith says hello to Hartsfield we're still scoreless in Oxford hey Raj started SEC nation that's an early wake-up call before you got here this afternoon it was a good crowd those cowbells were out bully's breath doesn't smell too good Telamon to throw deep out route and that's complete for a first down he had more success and you did with a Anderson Peters trying to throw a javelin yeah man I thought since I played quarterback the easy to throw a jab no you know how Herbstreit does game day and he gets you know gets on his PJ and goes to the game I got that treatment today except for my DJ was a red Fieseler mini babe that's for your style I knew my place kelan mine starting to get it going first first down of the night for Texas A&M [Music] [Applause] [Music] reverse it Vegas finds he asked in the FATCA knee turns in a first down most I mentioned earlier that a.m. was without some key players really on both sides of the ball tonight Glenn Beal and Michael Clemons were both injured and practiced before they left Texas A&M Charles Oliver's outmatched right on the DM D line is out and Ronnie Elam who leads him an interception still not available according to Jimbo Fisher who wouldn't specify exactly why Elam is not available but it's been a few games now there's Spiller who finds one on the right side and on the offensive side of the ball not having Glenn Beal that's big for the run game I mean he's not that involved is it tight in the past but it was a big body he's a blocker they're gonna miss his size and what he can do he Oh Jim he's a talented freshman at tied in number 85 two touchdowns last week expect him to continue to build off of that they'll play Ryan Rennick a little bit it's at in in addition Justin melon Brooke hopper walk-on from Austin has made the trip [Applause] second and nine Mike McIntyre brings an extra man mine running the option mine takes it straight up field mines got a first down at the 25 yard line and that's the running game we talked about coming more from the quarterback than other spots and I love it a design quarterback really a lead option here he's got a lead blocker from one running back and if he gets a forced player he's got the ability to pitch it as well but nobody though these are the type of designed runs they're gonna help this run game get going too many quarterback draws last week not enough getting telamon going downhill Texas A&M comes into this game 100 out of 130 FBS teams in rushing [Applause] and we got a flag a movement mark curls is a referee gonna bring coal into this coal do you expect Texas A&M to look different when it comes to using the passing game to try to find some quote unquote run game I think you have to shift your mentality a little bit like Jordan was just talking about not only quarterback runs but quick throws essentially running the football through the air to loosen the defense up and help get Drive started to stay ahead of schedule a little bit put yourself a more manageable second and third down situations changing mindset changing identity a little bit for Jimbo Fisher told us yesterday yeah we're at the point of the season kind of know who we are now young running backs and an underperforming offensive line although he claimed that they've been playing great they bring for mine to run again cutting behind the official and he picks up pain they've been predictable when it comes to second and 6-plus and really the reason they haven't been able to run the football on first house you don't gain any yards on first down then you're kind of forced to try to get a chunk play on second to get into third and manageable so getting Kelly Mon going on early downs is going to help stay ahead of the sticks let's see if they go back to the pass game here looking at a second and seven [Music] going against their tendency and it pays out for the first town run from the freshman from Spring Texas Isaiah Spiller you know Tom one of the things we're going to start to see more and more jaylen y de Meyer is in there so they're in our 11 personnel one time in one running back but traditionally a amends a team that runs the football out of heavier sets and when you struggle doing that the easy fix is to spread guys out go get jaylen y de Meyer away from the line of scrimmage get three or four wide receivers out there vacate the box and create bigger running lanes on a single back what we just saw right there wider Meyer attached top of the formation on the left side [Applause] [Music] [Applause] quarterback run again mine finding the edge gets forced out of bounds by Lakia Henry at the ten just surpassed fifty rushing yards already in this game coming in there were only averaging 80 a game verse FBS opponents so this running Helen bond has been the difference early in this game I like to plan so far by Jimbo Fisher [Applause] they go I formation here Kagan Baldry is a fullback Vaudrey trying to lead the way and a scratch and fall for a couple for Isaiah Spiller Cole what are you seeing from AMS offensive line early in this one it's gonna be tough sledding in the inside there buddy no Jones has had good penetration from the dory of this football game he's been a guy that's been in the backfield knocking the game right now but Josiah Cody slides down inside he's the only senior on the off very difficult when you have not consistently been able to get a push to get down towards the end zone and then all of a sudden go I formation the offensive lineman coaches the head coach ask you to get a person and leave those double teams back doesn't happen very we're down four out of the backfield Giller swallowed up by Willie Hitler and Spillers slow to get out for Texas A&M they could not afford to lose him this is just a great job by Willie Hitler coming from the interior linebacker position AM had about leverage but that does not look good for Spiller grabbing his knee as he went down Jimbo's running backs have led the conference in rushing three of the last four years including Trayvon Williams last year but they're missing a couple of guys in the backfield this season they're missing center Erik McCoy who's now moved on to the NFL where he's been graded as one of the best at his position at the next level and that looks like they might be missing Spiller for a little bit here's Seth small the sophomore out of Katy Texas to attempt a 24 yard field goal he's made a field goal in 12 straight games you can make it 13 and AM is on the board on their second possession it's a 10-play 73 yard drive Aggies up 3 zip you can't give up a ten among other things Cole tells us Isaiah spiller said he should be fine he got scared thought he heard something pop they tested his knee quickly and he could see him getting loose on the sidelines so he should be good to go and that's big already lost Jay Sean Corbin early in the season a torn hamstring out the rest of the year Jerry O'Neill a back to receive this one and Ely let's to go over his head John Rice Plumlee second possession for Ole Miss shocking with offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez yesterday the question was how do you keep but playing to quarterbacks like this one a runner and want to thrower how do you keep from being predictable when it comes to your play calling you know what rich Rodgers response wise he said well maybe that's a good thing because if they know what I'm gonna do then I know what they're going to do and I can have a counter off of what I was going to do it seems like something from The Princess Bride one that aligned they sought the poison two or three - oh yes here's a reverse getting clever here on the second possession with Dennis Jackson [Applause] it's gain of four I knew I'd get you know rich rods just playing chess he was thinking three or four moves ahead so he wants to come out predictable and then when he's got the opportunity he's gonna make you pay for it Tyree Johnson looks like he took a shot below the belt he's trying to catch his breath rich rod in the middle of those coaches first pass and it's batted away and there's a flag a little bit late dannis Jackson the intended receiver Chapman might have got there a little early had a great jump on this ball Ole Miss loves to do this a quick sprint they try to throw a quick out that one to dannis Jackson [Applause] they got Miles Jones for the pass interference would look like it was Clifford Chapman as you mentioned that was all over it regardless it's an automatic first down for Ole Miss mention the fact that Am's without some key guys including Charles Oliver as their Nickelback and we should see a lot of nickel tonight for Texas A&M [Applause] nice and not to take anything away from Jerry and Ely he is a dynamic athlete but when you see long runs keep an eye on the perimeter block and look at braylin Sanders right there on the outside getting the block allow Keeley to go the entire way receiver blocking on the outside he's so crucial for those chuck plays in the run game like his quarterback ely is a 2 sports star he'll be playing baseball in the same outfield is John Rice Plumlee this spring he told us he said you know what honestly I have no desire to play in the NFL I'm a baseball guy I play football for my teammates and for fun I guess it would be fun if you can rip off a 69 yard run like this rebels with their first lead of the night [Music] big play capability he's got all missus in front of an m7 two three Marvin Leal right here is gonna lose contain initially on this run that's the problem he's got the running back he's got a bump outside and then watch this block right here by Elijah more and then Braylon Sanders on the outside those are the two blocks that really spring this for Gerry Neely that's a well executed play but Texas A&M talked about wanting to control the running back with the front for the defensive line and the ow completely lost contain on that play so good locking and a missed assignment by Texas A&M no return those things going to bring it but of this decision took a pop at the 11:00 every Monday 7:00 Eastern 6:00 central bring you thinking out loud with Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears the breakdown the weekend on a gridiron talking about the hottest topics for the coming week right here the SEC network and the ESPN app how about Georgia's offense held scoreless in the first half late in the third quarter they finally got on the board 7 nothing cats farming dogs over the cats taking on Kentucky tonight Kentucky's Lynn Bowden attempted a grand total of three passes in the first half he's trying to pull a mat roll ARP and that's the type of game Kentucky wants though we want to grind it out slow down the ball game keep scoring low but he's over 6 to the air currently that game in Athens Spiller back in the game only one yard on the left side coach in BO Fischer said that his offensive line has been playing great lately I was especially a pinky complimented them against Alabama Tom and I just didn't see it now they got some new looks some different looks out of MA used Tara Lewis in different ways to bring pressure packages and show some different fronts and by the way that was pretty good at fun but I didn't think Texas A&M is offensive I'd look great in that game and I think they've played fairly poor the entire season it'll be one of the reasons they've struggled in a run game this year 100th in the country and yards per game [Applause] on has been their real threat he goes over the middle and it's a big catch by the tide Angela Ryder Meyer it will go for a Texas A&M first down after a gain of 29 that's just a great play design they're hot Ole Miss and it cover to two high safeties which means the middle of the field is open you see the linebackers their eyes get caught in the back field allows y de Meyer to go right down to the weakness of that defense down the middle wide open [Applause] maaan finds rottenmeier for a second consecutive play spins off the tak look he's got back-to-back first downs it's good and so am moving the chains after gain of 14 tell you what y demeyers developing into a really good player early this season the biggest loss for this Texas A&M team I think was J star burger you could argue the running back position took a big step back but the tight end position unlocks the pass game should have a young guy that says athletic is why demeyers starting to come into his home that's really big for Texas A&M as you see him just off the ball on the left side of the line of scrimmage 65 to 60s out of Dickinson high school in Texas Miller and somebody lost their hat let's get to the studio here's dari hi Tommy it took a heck I can't do the math how about 40 minutes of football I think before somebody finds points in Georgia Kentucky 39 yards beyond Lee Swift it's 7 nothing dolls in the 3rd guy thinks it was the first time Georgia had been in a Kentucky territory they didn't get there with offense originally it came from a shanked punt SiC it down 4 a.m. great coverage downfield maaan thought his receivers going out he turned in and it's incomplete complete miscommunication their hammer be on the outside once a pearl Ralph on close the corner so those aren't the same is breaking out [Applause] delfield to my eyes it looked like that's where buckley should have been so now a third more Jumana has been bottom of the formation wide reciever fifth in the sec and catches per game has it been targeted yet tonight play clock now at four maaan looking for Osman he was covered had to take off shut down before he could pick up the first down it's Billy Hitler making another stop from his linebacker spot a really good job in zone coverage by Ole Miss there dropped seven played zone protected the middle of at the tuck in room so a.m. will choose for a long field well there should be a 50-yard attempt for Seth small which will match his career line by the kulonga's 52 [Applause] that one's leaking and it misses wide right that Luke's team with a big defensive stop to backup their go ahead touchdown [Applause] maybe a couple yards to tea well this be back on offense they're emotional head coach [Music] this season for every field goal an extra point made by participating universities all state will make a contribution to the university's general scholarship fund thank you all state rich round was telling us yesterday that they've been rotating quarterbacks not just in games as they did against Missouri last week but throughout practice saying whatever you do during the week it's easy to implement that on game day those sign of Mac Corral in the game yet it's still John rice Plumlee freshman out of Hattiesburg high school Hattiesburg Mississippi don't grow up high school Jerry and Ely fix up through talking with John rice yesterday what a great young man by the way and said what you learned from rich ride he goes this is gonna sound really simple but I learned how to count and how to count the numbers in the box is something we didn't really worry about in high school but now we're playing eleven against ten more often than not count the numbers on either side of the football as well to determine where the best place to run the football is Romney wanted to claw and his stop and pop and live and just too strong for Braylon Sanders he was wide open that is a great first decision by Plumlee to knock Co the wheel route uses his legs and then and then this this touch pass is so tough because Braylon Sanders feels how hopeful he is and he starts to slow down a little bit watch this he's going to initially look to the right trying to hit the wheel route uses his legs and watch Braley Sanders slow down a little bit right there and that's the half a step that makes the difference you'd love him to keep running full-speed there but five wide going deep again miles battle back to back pass attempts and those rich rod going little unconventional breaking trends with John rice Plumlee in the game I was waiting to see when they'd start to take shots and then Plumlee was hot and cold thrown these last week a few short a few on the money that throw great and he paid for it still like to see Ole Miss you utilize the middle of the field they throw to the edges deep a lot and I have Smith he's got room and past midfield 44 yard punt 34 yard return nice Smith is dangerous the true freshman we watched him in practice week zero week one Thursday start the college football season he flashed in practice she knew he was going to be a dude and making his presence felt on special teams good field position for Texas A&M here's where if you're an offensive coordinator of your mind like Jimbo Fisher you think maybe a shot play first or second now got big receivers on the outside jimana husband yet to touch the football yet to be targeted even get to be targeted wouldn't be surprised to you if we see a little play-action you're gonna see jimana husband in the slot right there [Applause] telamon out of the shotgun there's a little play-action he's looking for asthma now it goes back in thousand like to the other team intercepted by Ole Miss Rashi sinn multiple flags after the play Ole Miss gets the ball back Wow they do go play action and just a terrible decision by Kelly mine it's the first thing you're taught as a quarterback you lose usually have to learn it the hard way never throw late back across the middle as we watch this with see if you see a blindside block and maybe targeting after the pick and trying to leak wide a Meyer backside just never sees the [Music] ninety-seven Kadir Shepard [Music] that'll cost him some field position this is the game in this day and age this a couple years ago was a big hit that was celebrated and was shown on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the week to pump up the crowd but this is the kind of block that they're trying to get out of football defenseless player change a possession peeling back and cracking you see it right here [Applause] watch this block you know does a great job of getting his head out of the way leading with his shoulder I like the hit I think that's clean but again there's just an emphasis this year especially on getting these type of plays out of football even though I think that's a clean football play it's tough for Kadir Shepard though because he was working through Kenyon green so he had just come off of a block to make that block so I didn't see the whole thing happen new left tackle Nick broker is in there for Ole Miss Michael Howard with a shoulder injury looks like Plumlee on the run that's the great go first down let's bring in Matt Austin on that last play the blindside block man at what point is a player defenseless it looked like the Texas A&M offensive lineman to me had a couple steps welcome it's truly not a question of when he becomes defenseless it's a question of does he see the block coming you could make an argument here that the block was in the shoulder and maybe he could have seen it but in the sake of safety they're gonna call that a blindside block they want that block taken out of the game he can't lead with his hands it's interesting to me and they're gonna run it and it's overabundance of caution in this day and age I do wonder though when they go back and look at that on Monday if they're gonna say you know what that's one where you face-to-face there's nothing blindside technically about it right and sometimes the blindside is really easy to see especially when it's on the perimeter sure there it's just it happened so quick yeah when we watch it slow motion he can see that coming but as a ref you got to throw the flag and proceed with caution and not say but get in a situation where you're guessing that's one that they want you to kind of put your hands up and just body the defender off I'm kind of like a screen in basketball though attacking just try to get in his way she's crazy because coal when we played even way back when Tom played you get a reward for doing stuff like that and no doubt about it it's been taken out of the game a fossil miss field position but they certainly have momentum here at home against Jimbo Fisher's Aggies Ole Miss would be looking at a second down as the second quarter starts after this in Oxford [Music] by thanks in Kentucky just missed the chance for a touchdown moments ago the drop pass in the end zone second at six moments ago Ole Miss had both quarterbacks on the field on the same play back Corral for the toss to John rice Plumlee attempted to pass safety blitz coming Plumlee gives it up and Adam was all over Scottie Phillips met up with buddy Johnson that's a great job I am there we mentioned they want to control the running back with the front for allow them to play fast play physical and let the linebackers take care of Plumlee lovely on the run incomplete trying to find Elijah more a good play design fake a little run to the left get Plumbly on the run she's got to get rid of the ball little sooner than that ran out of sideline paddle eyes are more open Mack Brown punting and aya Smith to receive and AM survives the Kellan Mont interception forcing Ole Miss to a three and out Smith will take a fair catch inside the nine [Applause] shrimp po-boy fried chicken me an Academy is the best selection in fate I've gotta get a badonkadonk what else do we have here oh the twitching mullet definitely gone fishin Aggies back on offense telamon threw an interception on his last play he's 5 for 8 for 66 yards so far tonight [Music] one of those throws that not much to talk about on the sidelines just you cannot throw back over the middle that's kind of how Kelly Mont season been a lot of things that make you scratch your head for a year that I thought he's going to take a big step some tea turnovers in the Clemson game still hasn't targeted Osmond yet tonight nears Spiller tried to shake and he got begged by Jane and Julius and that's where Spiller is at his best when this offensive line gives him a hole and I know that sounds stupid to say obviously but Spiller doesn't have the lateral quickness to make guys miss and then get going back down hill so you got to get him going vertical and then he's good once he gets a head of steam probably one of the reasons 30% of his runs go for zero or a negative negative result that seems like a very high rate I know that's on the opposite line Spiller again [Applause] and he will muscle his way for a few Lakia Henry and Josiah coutny bring him down they're asking a lot of Isaiah Spiller in terms of a pitch count and think of it that way he's getting a lot of carries now and they've got to try to find a way to spell him and more often than not when it comes to the run game it's Mon helping out find a way to get some of those quick throws you see look at the space down here for Jomon husband like to see him flip it on the edge and play on the perimeter extension to that run game Mon pulls it back he gets chopped to the second time tonight Jalen Julius with the safety blitz an Ole Miss sack little RPO a little one pass option concept there one actually has a husband in the second window here on a slant he lets it go he's got a window there for oz but he just doesn't trust what he sees and again gotta get the ball out of your hands quicker Jimbo's got to start designing some place for Kellan to get the ball on the perimeter and out of his hands gotta set up a screen that one was nearly too things up with it they're not much doing bettan been news almost reached it it turns into a loss of one Sam Williams tips have come out of Montaigne your Tates deep is arriving those old linemen start to release gain ground and get your hands up screens come a third long and his crowd started getting to him the fog has Oxford tonight on a few Saturday pressure coming he's set for the third time this one is charged violate across the Aggies of Levin yards [Applause] I see some movement along the front they're going to bring linebackers here and it's the movement that ends up getting the Mond it's a big win for Austrian Robinson they're inside just a one-on-one nice swim move he was able to shake Kenyan green but we'll take a hop and check up and again Ole Miss will have good field position two sacks in that last possession Charles Wiley at a Stockbridge Georgia with his third sack of the season drags down bond at A&M only has three points here the first half fantastic show and here in Oxford Mississippi where the speed limit is named set by the quarterbacks former number Matt Corral is in for his second step at quarterback for Ole Miss tonight Scotty Phillips next to him corralled a throw looks back side wants a deep ball [Applause] [Music] waylynn hauls it in 44 yards and that's why they bring that Corral in he's the more talented thrower an old missis rabbit at braylin Sanders back this is a heckler play readjusting did he did he get it what I got stuff ball touches the ground but does he have control when it does [Applause] that's gonna be incomplete [Applause] freshman safety domani Richardson had his hands full with it so even if it is incomplete they'll have a first down thanks to the pass interference once again and Pete what we told you earlier when I asked rich rod how do you keep from being predictable as a play caller when you put in a passing quarterback versus a running quarterback he said that's fine because if they know what I'm doing then I know what they want to do but on that one he just said I don't care Corral's in let's hukka deep and this is such a good effort here I mean it's such a difficult catch he's fighting off the defender adjusting to a ball in the air and so close a little bit of daylight between the ball and his jersey on the way down and watch the ball is a little under his hands here and his right hand comes off the ball for a second [Applause] right after this play was dead Matt Correll came running off the field and John Rice Plumlee came running on they will alternate by play in many instances tonight and this is kind of where I start to worry with the two quarterback system when Corral comes in does he feel like he has to make the play right does he feel like he always has to tuck it deep if that's what he's in for and when Plumlee's in when a pass play is called does he start to look over his shoulder and go I have to complete this you start to have two quarterbacks that maybe play a little out of their comfort zone a little tight a little hesitant maybe or too aggressive that's the balance with two quarterbacks not knowing when the other guys can be in mark girls incomplete [Applause] so going back to the conversation it's about a quarterback getting in a rhythm and rich rod insisted to us yesterday he said it's okay because we practiced this way so you want to play however you practice and he use an unconventional thinker and doer in many ways and and yes they both got equal reps but when you're in the game and you're John Rice Plumlee and you know they're gonna bring in Corral when they want to throw it when you have a called pass play you're gonna approach that a little different knowing you want to be in the game 100% of the time John Rice Plumlee back in the game he said I made it I've made it clear to both of my quarterbacks I don't want you looking over your shoulder if I'm taking you out it's not because of a penalty or a bad play or something that you did wrong it's because the other guy is giving us an advantage there's Plumlee on the carry furthering the conversation you know his son played at Arizona last year got an injured player down his son played in Arizona they went into play Utah he hadn't taken hardly any reps all season then he was thrust into a role that he wasn't prepared for he said that's just a personal story because but I believe that you've got to communicate with your guys and how both quarterbacks on the field and if you communicate with them and they know where they stand Corral tosses formerly wanted to throw and he will throw then you go back to Kendall in someone's time at Texas A&M especially with Kyle Allen and calimary I think that was a disaster for just that a lack of communication from the head coach to his to quarterback it's nice to say and it's nice to communicate you don't have to look over your shoulder but it's impossible as a player to not look over your shoulder I've been in that situation either subconsciously or consciously it will affect you third and eight Mac Corral at quarterback down corral lobs it [Music] they going to say that's pot in bounds it's Braylon Sanders again it'll go for 29 yards the job to get his foot down another surface catch last one was and almost catch this one let's see oh he's gonna get another one it's gonna come back to catch has taken off the world [Applause] you know it's a really good job by Devin Morris the cornerback there watch his hands he rips through the arm and that's what you're taught as soon as that ball enters the receivers arms grab and pull and that's one of the reasons Braylon wasn't able to bring this down what's the right arm he can't bring the right arm into his body and that's why it's incomplete I want to go back for a moment to Texas A&M playing Kyle Allen pallamary years ago remember met with Jake's Babbitt all earlier this season now the head coach at Texas State he was the Aggies offensive coordinator and we asked him about that year and he said where we messed up as a staff was in communication they heard it from me but I really felt like it would have been valuable had they heard that from the head coach and Kevin Sumlin according to spam talk did not communicate what the plans were at a quarterback position it's a tough situation mean that quarterback room two of those guys are starting the NFL right now and they praised he played really well fifth Kyle Allen is undefeated so far and neither one of them obviously finished at Texas A&M that's in that sticky situation everybody has to be on the same page so yes it do you think it's important that Matt Luke is involved in that conversation as well [Applause] so once again another one taken away upstairs from Braylon sanders-brown the California kid played at four games last year and redshirted look I'd argue that John rice Plumlee could make both those throws and if he is the one making both those throws doesn't that create more problems when he's on the field one more opportunity for what you can do running the football yeah you would think I don't know see how the balls background have punted away the other Mack Brown North Carolina's head coach lost him five over times the Virginia Tech today first five overtime game a college football this season they had the new rules in place third catch was asked for receiver got blown up and it'll be a flag on Ole Miss dannis Jackson impeded with Anaya Smith's opportunity for the fair catch it's a 39-yard punt but they'll bring some yardage back [Applause] that's an offense [Applause] Texas A&M trailing Ole Miss 7 to 3 back to vaught-hemingway after this Texas A&M trailing Ole Miss 7 to 3 Kellerman has thrown for 66 yards so far tonight he's run for 21 as a dual threat quarterback he's put up much larger numbers and he's in San elite company over the course of the season out of the six thousand one thousand club in college football [Applause] here's Spiller and he gets hogtied after gain of almost nine pretty good company among power five quarterbacks as a few good ones up there tell you what Kevin is definitely a pass first guy some of these other guys and kind of flirt with the border being equal run pass guys but Kellen does a lot with his legs again it's still like to see them spread this Ole Miss team out allow Kellen to see pressure get some quarterback runs out of that as well right now back in an eye formation with the tight end attached [Applause] Spiller's straight ahead and he's able to pick up the first down call you've watched a lot of a NM tape what is their identity offensively I'm not sure they know what it is right downtown I mean Jimbo Fisher told us multiple times in our meeting it's time for us to figure out who we are and what we want to do what we want to accomplish with this season they're not a run first football team we're not good enough to be that so it's going to be a play-action pass first team you obviously can't be that either if you can't go out and establish to run early in football game you to me right now their identity is relying on a quarterback that has elite talent [Applause] Guderian Richardson and Isiah Spiller flank Elam on that option look again on this great penetration and Spiller ends up with a six yard game they're finding some success out of this 21 personnel two running backs one tight end and when they have these two running backs are able to run the option type concepts and also have a lead blocker an athletic lead blocker they can get out in front of Kelly Mon or the other running back so far I like that game planets I'll do a couple good runs for Texas A&M already well this got a hustle a guy off the field [Applause] and this gonna bring some pressure here they played a lot of nickel tonight base formation here and to the edge it's Spiller let's go back to the studio hey dari hey Tom the round appears to be on right now in Sanford Stadium beyond rate Swift into the end zone for the second time 179 yards on the night Georgia shutting out the cats 21 zip less than six mm-hmm you wonder how long Lin Bowdoin will stay in the game at quarterback for Kentucky or if they will turn it over late in that game we'll be in Lexington next week from Missouri and Kentucky Tigers upset on the road how about the hacker yeah lost at Vandy they saw their chances to win the East dip from 40% to just 10% thanks to that loss if Florida is able to pull out a win against South Carolina earlier today Gamecocks looked pretty tough for about two and a half quarters I did I mean as a tough matchup for Florida South Carolina is big and lengthy and athletic on the back end they can play man coverage they can stack the box that's how they beat Georgia but in the end Florida just too much talent and Trask is playing at a high level a lot of town on that offensive side of the ball five consecutive carries the Aggies Isaiah Spiller here we go I like this set for wide they vacate the box let Kelly mondsee space good option to either run your quarterback or get something quick on the perimeter did a good behind his receiver that's going to leave third and seven love the play design a nice quick throw you spread the defense out that's just an inaccurate throw by Pelham on again one of those times just scratch her head and he has been an accurate quarterback as Cole said he has elite talent this has been our cold so far this year landshark to three sex tonight part of the reason am is over for I'm third down Colten traitor the am center was headed off to the sideline looked like the official came up and talked to him and sent him out of the game yeah he may have a knee brace issued an equipment issue that they need to get cleaned up if something's protruding from the knee brace they're going to take him out or is he bleeding one of the two we'll check on it Brian McCollum takes his spot at Center last year starter Eric McCoy is on to the NFL where he's been fantastic low snap Mon recovers over the middle tipped intercepted an Ole Miss takeaway by dr. Evans second pick tonight from on boy Dante Evans gets the pick but hits a great play by Kedron Smith locking up the tight in tight here knocking the ball up in the air and Ole Miss with another opportunity Rd up for contempt drill Kieran Smith on the left tipped it in the air and Dante Evans pulled it down for the second pick of the night for the Ole Miss defense I don't love the matchup when you single you're tied into one side you're gonna ensure he's on a cornerback and on a dig route that's tough you got a fast corner back on the outside that can undercut that dig route I prefer to see him grow sump pump use his big body but great play by ole miss Evans sharing the turnover chain it's a shark tooth necklace here his general is Plumlee fundly scram basin err midfield 12 yard line for the freshman is it amazing how seemingly his athleticism can make wasn't much here and he has to bubble outside of a defender that still has the speed to turn the corner line to game CAM it was a revelation I thought when we saw John Rice Plumlee do that to Alabama a few weeks ago you just don't do that against an Alabama defense ely gets swallowed up and will lose a couple but talking to him yesterday he just kind of shrugged his shoulders he said you know it's it's not really I mean he didn't say this directly but the implication was this is just football he said I got in the game against cow I made it big run and I said okay this is how it is like it's not his quote was it's not that different from high school this is a freshman playing in the SEC I mean I guess when you're that fast you can be like what guys are a little faster at this level but they're still not as fast as me right I mean you can't coach at that's what he's got you can't coach athlete either have it or you don't Corral was in a quarterback that time and they shifted Plumlee out to the outside rich rod is cooking up the brew here he's got some weapons to play with and he's getting creative three ole miss out in front of Texas A&M John rice Plumlee one four six to the air for ten yards he's averaging five yards to carry John we took some artistic liberty with this but how's this for a 40 time John Rice looking a little bit more like John Ross cold not buying it that's legit put that in a scouting profile for to 140 a little bit of a running start Cole's got a lap that belongs on Halloween yeah what was that it was a cackle EP second and 12 for John rice Plumlee he told us that he was timed at Mississippi State a couple years ago Cole what did he say his 40 time was in I think it was four for one but he said those are hand times you can never really trust those deals I said but yeah if you're going to a camp it's I'm gonna get you to four for one that's you'll take that that's pretty good I'd be more interested in his 10 split in his 20-yard shuttle yeah I mean cuz his lateral quickness and his burst that that's what's really separates him go ahead and check up those first two listed as records gained by the freshman quarterback on the ground Lumley pulls the back lobs it and he's able to find his time in Coulee and it's in creativity satellite Plumlee ad-libs this way to an Ole Miss first down and again is 16 that right there is tough to coach you got a young guy that's really talented with his legs more often than not this early in his career he keeps that his eyes up that's up you can't go go with temple now Plumlee shovels it out to the edge and Elijah more runs into traffic and he ran into domani Richardson Richardson ran right out of his shoes don't look like you had that on although he's gonna roll with it [Applause] in this direction on the counter eating by a string and he's able to make his way down to the 25 and a gain of P the reason there is so much promise around this Ole Miss program is as Co pointed out earlier the production of the youth on this team Elia freshmen Plumlee a freshman they've got freshmen receivers psyche Jackson Mingo brokers in left tackle yeah fresh food they got true freshmen that are really good players all over this offense and a few on defense in the secondary as well [Applause] to the ground and buddy Johnson says not right now no gain that dude is jacked yeah he doesn't miss a day in the gym how like you mean missed a few who had a career-high 11 tackles this week against Alabama and this is where as John Rice Plumlee's in and you get I want to say predictable but a little predictable this is where these safeties start to play lower and lower box gets heavier that's why I like what Ole Miss is doing right here going five wide and spread and am back out Plumlee wants to run get blocking on the edge she beats buddy Johnson they've got a flag back towards the offensive line buddy Johnson by the way number one 4:00 a.m. was a dual threat quarterback at Dallas Kimball he was the leading rusher and receiver what yeah yes how is that possible I don't know [Music] [Applause] that's an Elijah more but he was probably that size in high school too just I mean it was a man among boys is running over dude mentioned that the good blocking on the outside by Ole Miss and that's the risk you take when your receivers are aggressive in the run game and blocking and opening up holes you're gonna get a few of those every now and then it was worth it for the ones that do spit really because of the blocking on the outside interesting talking to rich rod about rpoS and what they do within the scope of this offense he's like our POS whatever we got a lot of rrose run-run options with Plumlee can make those decisions five wide again and a quarterback run again and it is taken down Tyree Johnson and AM has won the chess match the last couple that's a loss of three Wow and a really really good play by Johnson on the outside Ole Miss goes unbalanced more wide receivers to one side and you're gonna see him come with speed off the edge doesn't care that a blocker is coming towards him beats him with speed may have taken Ole Miss out of field goal range that would've been a big play if he doesn't make that play there's no linebacker there because the unbalanced set by Ole Miss third and 18 man coverage incomplete both Brad wanted a flag on miles Jones he never came and what do you do here fourth and eighth team looking at a long field goal you know what I've noticed a few times watching film is Elijah Moore and John Rice Plumlee not on the same page especially on you see Elijah Moore's eyes he was looking back to the quarterback the ball was already up in the in the air Elijah Moore is not getting his head around soon enough to adjust to where John Plumlee is throwing seen that a few times in film last week let's get rid of the ball early and Moore's not ready vote Logan from 50 his grilling is 41 [Applause] got the leg but that one's pushed right and both kickers have missed long field goals going that direction in the fog 7:3 Ole Miss back to the studio and dari that's what I want to hear she is one of the one with a little more cushion yeah my kind of guy let's be comfortably got to sit there a long time you just sit all day Georgia tonight looking for their first home shutout in the league since 2010 against Vanderbilt remember that 43 nothing loss yeah kiss bond over the middle and he's finding his tight in another big play is not just a catch but a catch and run from Jalen wider Meyer and a great Drive starter here in the two-minute drill am all their timeouts so they have an eternity right now don't really need to push the tempo you got to see him go no huddle but they might take their time evaluating the defense pre-snap rottenmeier 6 5 to 60s a great high school basketball players a shooting guard and a wing that's big the upside catch made after the defenders slipped in it's the first target for Tim on husband and it turns into a first down Aggies roll in here now with 1:27 to go in County you see Jalen Jones on the outside slip husband does a great job running an out route from the outside of stemming that route inside to square up the DB and then breaking it out that's why Jalen Jones lost his footing Ole Miss wasn't sure they had the personnel right so they will use a timeout on am's first down kellen Mon now 8 of 13 for 98 yards coming up at the half you can watch the live performance of the pride of the South but we're on SEC network plus start streaming now on the ESPN app we promised plumage why was I cannot have footage there's your hat man yeah come on you would think the flautist would shout a little bit more I'm more of a nose flop most food yeah oh time I was trying to be cold oh you tried to see it a jab guy this morning starkville with Anderson Peters when I put this new javelin throwers in the countries you have you by the way they're known as jab use time 3 in the countries excuse me there's no reason to call me names I got a t-shirt cuz they felt bad for me over the middle complete that's Cortney Davis - from tri-lamb throw better javelin than you do it's a gain of 15 love wood Adams doing right now Ole Miss is sitting back in two high zone coverage which leaves the middle of the field wide open we saw the completion to wide a Meyer earlier and then Cortney Davis their attack in the middle of field as well see if they get Ole Miss out of that two high zone maaan finding his rhythm pressure from the edge and complete diving attempt announcement as a quarterback I've been finally targeted on this Drive well how does it work that you have one of the best receivers in the conference and you don't go to them for an extended period well if you don't try to and every up to coordinator Jimbo has a small section on his play sheet that said Osmond he says this is how we need to get him the ball if we need to but early on you kind of get caught up and trying to get ahead of the sticks and only three points on the board you're trying to get anything going so then dip into those specific plays for Osmond jr. from Houston by way of IMG Academy three-man rush they out of the backfield is spilling black will stop at 44 you get a play like that sometimes you try to get guys the ball that's a little snag route so husband has a kind of an OTP and over the ball on the right side of the line of scrimmage he wasn't open so mom moved on from whatsit Oh TV over the ball so his routes going towards the line of scrimmage usually in between the tackles he was on the right side just outside the tackle on that play wasn't open so bond moves on Texas A&M uses its first timeout with third and eight [Music] so Callan man with a odd start to this game and now of a sudden he's 10 of 16 for 115 Tom Horn alongside Jordan Roger to talk about Kellen Mons weaponry there's a guy who's been leaned on in the run game but is probably better as a bastard yeah yeah absolutely is what we're seeing is a clean pocket my mind is under duress more than any quarterback in the entire country he's blitzed more than any quarterback in the entire country but he's had a clean pocket to operate within then Texas A&M has a little bit of a beat on what Ole Miss is doing now late in his second quarter so they're attacking the middle of the field against that to a zone that Ole Miss has been sitting in for a better part of this first half he's been sacked three times tonight this is third and a minutes ago to have two high safeties watch [Applause] Joseph's corner out that's code for an Aggie touchdown on the outside Kendrick Rogers coverage in maan takes advantage with an 18-yard scoring strike husband in the slot had a two-way going to take the middle or go up the scene he's covered up the scene so Kelly Mon goes outside to his big bodied 6:4 receiver and you can't get better ball location than that right there it's great coverage you beat great coverage with great ball location even better ball location whistle that one day before it got off [Applause] found them in the corner just like Funky's again you can see Rogers on the outside a little stutter and go still great coverage but you cannot defend a well-placed back shoulder football Tom Hardy and that's what we have right there ball placement with great ball placement comes great responsibility to catch and he did just that you're welcome thank you mine is throwing toothpicks tonight and now his first touchdown it's good to see Rogers involved I mean just one reception last week he's so valuable especially in the red zone somewhere where Kelly mana was really good last year 17 touchdowns just one interception came to this game eight touchdowns three interceptions in the red zone the more they can use Rodgers big body the better and more efficient mom will be thrown the football down in the red zone mom was victimized a few times this season by drops from his receivers including that Clemson game there was so much promise coming into that game today in him maybe it seemed that could shock college football seven drops two SEC's Aggies were an on factors Clemson put that one out of reach in the first half they've already played the number one team twice this season that just plumps it but Alabama and a rarity to have done that twice in a college football career and depending how the LSU Alabama Go game goes they could play the number one team in the country three times this year with LSU their last game in season under Gene Stallings they lost the number one ohio state number one tennessee i was part of a nine game losing streak and then the next year they played number one nebraska they played three number one teams in a 12 game span over two seasons that's not ideal you know well but just think of their strength of record very good no one's blaming them for a cupcake schedule they're no after all that the point after his punch through yelling man able to get it going on that last Drive two guys great facial hair Marty and McGee come your way every Wednesday night at 7:00 Eastern six central right here on the SEC network and an ESPN appletalk Southern culture football and I'm heat McGee my Clemente Major League Baseball's knew his plan to shut down all those minor league teams that he is a huge fan of yeah what's up with that could be good for college baseball though yeah would be good for college but ever been to the minor league team in Nashville that stadiums funk national sounds they got a new one oh yeah couple years ago build a new stadium they got a whole bar out in right field a nice big island the old games out there something you can go there and not even watch the game if you are still a fan of the guitar scoreboard oh yeah big time I think Ryan's been to probably a hundred different minor league stadiums it's not where you got your start yeah shout out capital city bombers Oh started to bring it out you got to come all the way out of the end zone just kind of like getting into it you got to bring everything out to break the plane so it is a touchback and I don't think we'll see Matt Corral here we'll see John rice Plumlee no time outs Hinkel miss spike give up a touchdown we'll be happy to go into half here get the ball in half after that yeah but why not take a shot make Corral's got the arm strength and then it depends on how this first play goes and if you get 10 or 15 yards here you might start to think about throwing one towards the sideline maybe getting a field goal range but no timeouts left this is a close one here in the first half chan rice Plumlee good just tool with his legs they get shaken down inbounds o'clock we'll run it'll stop for a moment to reset the chains but a 16 yard run and here's where I'd spike it if possible I see I would have got there as quick as possible spike that you don't need four downs wasting about five six seven seconds now and Plumlee will keep it on the ground and we'll do it in the first half lightly as the clock runs didn't pick up the first down he's gonna try to hustle and get another play off now they spike here we had a long talk with all the coaches yesterday about clock management and Matt Luke said you know I'm lucky because I got to other coach of the years as head coaches on my staff and now corral will come in the game and it's a constant discussion on both channels of the headset Mike McIntyre has a chart that he's developed over his years of experience rich Roderick Rodriguez has a great feel for it and Matt Luke pointed out it's a collaborative effort Aggies put three defenders all the way back inside the 20 and a guard against a Hail Mary morale facing a three-man rush a stiff arm now he's got time he scrambles out of bounds I thought there was one second but the clock says triple zeros an Ole Miss is saying check the clock we should have one second left on there Aggies say it's time for orange slices and Capri Sun they've already headed to the locker room must have a good team mom there's the best check the Tupperware what do we got in there watch supply in bowling company trying to get everybody back Tom yeah see a foot down in the white paint in one second on the clock [Applause] not sure what they were doing the play designed there though cuz receivers weren't running for the endzone unless they stopped as soon as they saw corral start to scramble but again clock the ball after that first long run by dumbly and then gather yourself then decide do we want to do that again we want to take a shot to the sideline lost a lot of seconds trying to figure it out after that first Plumlee run and I see a second on the clock his orange slices will have to wait yeah they're so good you really I don't know if you wanted the orange slices back then you really wanted like the fruit snacks right yeah that was good and then if you get a fun dip after life maybe a Hawaiian Punch to go with it second back on the clock according to mark curls okay so walk me through the basics of a Hail Mary what you're gonna have three guys down at the bottom of your screen right down here they're gonna all go plant themselves in the end zone and this guy here will trail and follow so he'll be the guy that hopefully would catch one that was batted back but Corral's gonna try to buy enough time to be able to launch this but I like what Texas A&M is doing here they're Russian Corral's right side the unloads he's got the depth into the end zone everybody there and the ball falls incomplete Ole Miss is plaque management costs him a possible win at home against Cal early the season on that final drive of the half they're able to get good smart play from both freshmen quarterbacks John Rice Plumlee and Mack Corral Jimbo Fisher standing by with Cole coach Fisher Kellerman seem to pick up some momentum they're late how do you continue that in the second half it's guy got him in a rhythm and we had some plays early made one poor throwing the other one a second that guy made a guy's hand in but we got sustain more on offense get more consistency but we got him in a rhythm so maybe that's what we'll do only three completions for Ole Miss you have to be happy with your defense conformant just played well I give up the one big play out or not they played really good thanks coach thank you a Jimbo Fisher looking at a must-win game here tonight mine was 5 of 6 and a touchdown drive 467 of his 133 through the air 10 7 Aggies back to the studio in the colorful chairs [Applause] sixty they going sit for the second half Jimbo fit Fisher's been great with his quarterbacks around his career finally chemin Monde found his rhythm more than half of his passing yards came in that last touchdown drive for the Aggies meanwhile on the other side Matt Luke's team well they're getting creative and played two quarterbacks tonight both freshmen John rice Plumlee has been fantastic he's the run threat Mack Corral has gotten plenty of snaps with him he's the passing threat a.m. leading all this 10 to 7 welcome back with the lights blinking outside we are inside Tom Hart Jordan Rogers down to Cole cubic in just a moment ain't him finally got their offense on track late in the half and it was the chunk plays in attacking the middle of the field they targeted on Ole Miss being in that two high zone so really got a read on that expect Ole Miss to counter and change their their matchup in the second half what would you like to see differently from Ole Miss shoes off though I want to see some RPO some quick throws we see a lot of the run run passes where it's either a run by the running back or by Plumlee and then a late pass that just hasn't been there I want to see the ball come quicker out of these Ole Miss quarterbacks hands if I get a chance to see that sooner rather than later Ole Miss will start the second half with the football late get a football onto the field kind of hard to play without one of those yeah you need that it's a bold strategy though without once you notice their ball placement was off at the very beginning [Applause] a low kick it gives us a chance to go down to the sidelines as we check in with cold I tell my spoke told me as head football coach Mountain Luke coming out after halftime he said we need to find a way to create a spark offensively maybe more shot play something he's gonna look at said the defense has kept us in this game proud of their performance so far bad news for Ole Miss on offense senator Eli Johnson is not going to be able to go in the second half and running back Jerry on a Lee who is feeling flu-like symptoms is also not going to be available in the second half remember Ely had that 69 yard touchdown run for Ole Miss rebels have only come home from 28 yards tonight and both defenses have been stout on third down perhaps because both offenses have been somewhat predictable and we start the second half at vaught-hemingway Stadium John rice Plumlee is the Ole Miss quarterback he hands it up to Scotty Phillips he finds a huge hole corpse on a breakaway this tipline gets Philip strips off a 39 you are right out the gate just a great block on the left side of line of scrimmage Ole Miss caved in the entire left side opened up a huge hole for Scottie Phillips they got some good backs I mean the Ely is a great player but they won't miss a beat with Phillips and Connor Plumlee sidearms it out to the tide and Jason Pelerin Phillips are starting running back the senior to the blocking on the left side the right side of your screen blue open a huge Philips carried the freshman safety domani Richardson for extra yardage snoop connor down to the game alongside phillips in the backfield with ely unavailable here comes the pressure her out dumps it off that direction man straight fire forgot to bring it with him but i was a perfect play call by Mike Elko the deeper two-point headed for Texas A&M they blitz true set true freshman domani Richardson off the right side there which caused the high throw in Connor who's it looking for here and not a terrible ball Plumlee got it there as best he could and now we're gonna see matt corral back in the game see if they mix things up it's third and seven three-man rush essentially he'll love it and as popped on the sky beautiful touchdown the pass it goes for 22 and rich rod hey he said it's okay if I'm a little predictable and that's what it's been with that Corral in the game been taking the deep shots of this is a beautiful throw get the match up they want on the outside with Scottie Phillips on a linebacker and Tom great ball placement indeed quarterback dictated that one Phillips encounter flank Plumlee back in front [Applause] [Music] [Applause] well for an offense is a little stagnant in the first half there's a way to start huh couple big explosive runs Corral comes in drops a dime to get them inside the five and offensive line looked really strong on a few of those runs there's a 65 yard drive they needed his five plays to cover the distance two of those plays big ones for Scotty Phillips he accounted for sixty of the 65 then snoop counter Tommy bartelbum it's a good the rest of the way Phillips with the soft hands it's snoop counter freshman from Hattiesburg with his second rushing touchdown of the season [Music] upon the ground and through the air in two quarterbacks moving the ball for Ole Miss a non-traditional offense and Richard goes yeah let's find with me you know how I do things [Music] [Applause] and Ole Miss is doing it behind a revamped offensive line Beckett that last touchdown drive that Cole mentioned Eli Johnson out the starting center which means Ben Brown and Jalen Cunningham we're gonna have a great double team right here both those guys playing in new positions because of the injury really helps spring that long run that's good to see this is the lineup I think they want to have in the long run here is the touchdown run from stoop Connor Cole and Matt Luke told us they want to try to work Ben Brown in at center a little bit more gives them a bigger bulkier stronger offensive line and they love the way Jalen Cunningham has been coming on the first few weeks of the season so a bigger stronger a line for the rebels more than half of mines yards through the air came on the final drive for Texas A&M their touchdown drive this time he hands it off we're gonna flag on the floor one from Isaiah Spiller by the way of no pretentious ain't in they've been in the area for a few days now flew into Memphis team hotel up there about an hour north of Oxford up an olive branch holding number 76 [Applause] that's Colton Prater who's back in the game Jimbo Fisher going back to his Florida State days travels in on Thursday afternoon most college football teams come in midday ish Friday but they'll get a practice in on Thursday he said you know class is a wash on Friday anyway might as well get to the town get set up and then you got three hours of study time and class time that they put in first thing Friday morning I'll walk through on the soccer field at their hotel yesterday and then down for the game their late flight back to Aggie later another question paint him as if it will be a happy flight mom to the Titan water Meyer again I get five yards back and still have a long way to go Jacquizz Jones in the game was rejected for targeting last week that's big Dante Evans had the interception earlier in his place but Jones is an important piece for this linebacking core that's getting really tested right now as AM continues to attack the middle of the football field and the zone coverage [Applause] another flag nice catch by Jamal Osman 10 yards on the field let's see what the flag is [Applause] offside number 97 defense lined up in the neutral zone penalties five yards from the previous spot replay second down at a late kick tonight in Tuscaloosa Alabama just pulled in front of Tennessee 14 to 7 the number one team in the country that's close to the end of the first quarter under the strobe lights are Brian Denny love the game of chess that's going on right now we saw the previous play an out route from Andaz minutes because Ole Miss rolled out of that too high into a one high which now means the flats are the area to attack Helen lon has been on point with his reads starting with the last driver of the first half Jimbo Fisher says he created out better than 90% on his reads this season contact but after the ball got there by Deonte Prince the Yantra prince is a player that Mike McIntyre in this Ole Miss program are excited about the true freshman continues to grow but he's got instinct he's got intangibles he's got length on the outside he grow into his body and little things only about 270 pounds but he's young he makes up for it with his speed that he saw they were great calomel he had never played defense before he was a high school quarterback in Charleston Mississippi well this brings four they get to mind with [Applause] tonight Sam Williams sent out the first half in the Junior making his impact felt here early in the second Sam Williams again is playing extremely well off the edge you're gonna see him working right here on the right tackle Carson green really just gets his hands out of the way quick swim move didn't even need it breathe got a little too much over his toes so woody was able to attack that in the Achilles heel but Texas A&M has been protecting telling ma Green pre-season freshman all-american at Humble Texas beautiful punt all the way back to the 23 is Elijah more into traffic and the knockdown as he takes it back to the 30 that was a 55 yard punt from Braden man few weeks at williams-brice how about Wisconsin going down this great game Illinois with a walk-off kick to win Scotty Phillips thrown down by JD TV really thought Wisconsin was gonna give oh hi Oh state a huge test I'm not saying they can be so good right they still absolutely can but got exposed a little bit on the offensive side of the football in Ohio State can play some defense now defense had been Wisconsin's calling card second or 12 they roll up the safety man coverage on the edge Plumlee chased on Iran and he lets it go incomplete and it leaves third and 12 as well miss been predictable with their play calling I think a little bit I mean Cole just mentioned the the TV timeout there the commercial break did brought to our tent sound like Plumlee's had a straight drop back and and so when you get into that situation hey am keeps pressuring the edges you end up running right into that pressure whereas maybe if you keep them inside the pocket go against kind of what you've been doing you maybe have to allow him to have a cleaner throw as they do right here zero coverage and that one is incomplete here comes a flag they set the house and Ole Miss able to take advantage Elijah blades for the pass interference pass interference number two defense [Applause] third am defensive pass interference Kolchak with Mike Elko yesterday he thought they could let the front four do some work on their own but now they're sending extra guys forget some extra pressure and I think some of that might just be known you have a younger quarterback in the game maybe trying to force him into an early decision that's obviously not the right decision he handled that well no he slid the protection knew he had to get the ball out Lou he's probably gonna take a hit is the right right move Mike he'll kill in the Hat the right side came to an end last year from Notre Dame couple schools one of them as a head coach in the offseason but he drives a fairly competitive salary in Aggieland gain of three that time and it goes back to what Texas A&M won and then they brought in Jimbo Fisher they want national championships and so far with only one road win under his belt in a season and a half it'd be fair to say that he is under lip delivered to this point knowing that the maturity date on this team is going to come next season [Applause] he is slippery he is fast it almost seems like defensive players have a hard time gauging his speed it's deceptive I mean his stature he's not a big long guy so he's so quick with the cuts and the jump cuts here getting lateral he's tough to guard man to go back to Jimbo this is an extremely important for game stretch for Texas A&M and I know there's not a huge sense of urgency when you sign a 10-year contract for 75 million dollars but they're three and three right now they're here at Ole Miss they go Mississippi State UTSA South Carolina I think we got a win three or four of these I mean get to arrange where you're in bowl eligibility because you ain't you finish at Georgia you finish at LSU you lose this one you could be looking at a six and six season Kevin Sumlin got run out of town for a lot better than that absolutely Cole what do you think about where there's Aggie program is right now well you're having a place to muse and that's obviously not exactly where they want to be but you know one thing that we saw does improve with this team a year ago was in the trenches you saw that attitude that demeanor they brought it a little bit more on the offense and defensive line and you're not seeing it as much offensively this year I think the defensive line has held their own well I think the recruiting is on schedule but Jimbo Fisher's got to get more guys on page with what he's trying to accomplish offensively that this program is going to go where you just mentioned Aggieland believes a camp now to find that championship mentality Jimbo one of five active head coach who's won a national title that includes Les Miles and Kansas given Texas a fit tonight that in Austin stick counter with the carry there's none the naggy fans would love more didn't see Les Miles go in and get a at Texas well you guys rise with that play right there changes for this office so much if they can have success between the tackles against this defense and force things to compress with Plumlee speed opens up a whole lot [Applause] Plumlee takes it between the tackles only finds a couple how important is it in a QB run gamer to have him threatened between the tackles because obviously he makes his money on the perimeter well it's huge I mean it's huge to set up the pass game to the rpoS those only work the run pass options if you threaten between the tackles you get those linebackers to step up and you open those windows on the outsides but happen to see them go to that I want to see the run pass option from Ole Miss where Plumlee sticks it in the running backs gut you can pull it really quick and get an easy throw tough to run against Justin Mehta BK Phillips does just that over folks took it right at Tyreke Johnson a gain of ten and an Ole Miss first down rebels threatening to really put a stranglehold on this game keep keep in mind fellas we saw this against Arkansas we saw this against Vanderbilt this offensive line got a little bit better as the game progressed Tyree Johnson didn't get up after making that tackle and so the am athletic training staff tending to him 8:24 to go in the third quarter Ole Miss with the lead was not the starter to open a season Matt Brown took a shot injured ribs open up the door for Plumlee to get more playing time snoop Connor four yards [Applause] I think one of the reasons we're seeing a lot of success for Ole Miss between the tackle is here they do a lot of counter schemes so they have a lot of misdirection between the tackles pulling guards getting linebackers flowing one way cutting back the other way that makes a linebacker start to play real hesitant after six consecutive runs Plumlee showing pass and he gets trapped the ball came out scooped up I am Aggies habit it's plenty shots in the former high school quarterback and a take of the rest of the way 63 yards in a stupid score as defense bails them out [Applause] Ole Miss had so much momentum on that drive that right there shows the youth of John Rice Plumlee thrown the football normal drop back stayed in the pocket he's got to stay there he does not have to vacate the pocket just yet and if he does he needs to from pressure to his left rod a young quarterbacks gravitate to escape in the pocket to your right he escaped right into traffic that's what led to that fumble and let's see was it out gotta get two hands on the ball there yep gotta get two hands on the ball look like mad at BK may have been the one that's tripped it one after is good it looked like Ole Miss was getting ready to put a stranglehold on this game and just like that buddy Johnson with a 63-yard fumble return touchdown and the Aggies not only have the lead they've got momentum freshman put it on the ground blade stripped it out and buddy chat soon puts it into the end zone [Music] defensive touchdown for Texas A&M courtesy of buddy Johnson has started with pressure up front we'll walk you through it in a moment a.m. with a 17-14 advantage [Applause] Alijah blames junior college transfer key part of Jimbo Fisher's defense and Matt Luke those and momentum swung on one play [Applause] [Applause] a short kick and a fair catch taken let's walk through the pressure than am brought the effect on an Ole Miss or one of the few times we see John Rice plumbing a straight drop back and watch this look at the pocket he has right here look at this pocket now he's getting a little pressure from A to B K right here but if anything he's got to step up in this direction he runs towards the pressure Elisha blades actually running past the football that's just a young quarterback reverting to what he's used to doing which is scrambling to his throwing arm scrambling to his right left the pocket a little early eyes getting down when pressures coming those are things he'll learn but crucial mistake at a crucial time in the game when they could have really made this tough on Texas A&M that was the first AM fumble recovery touchdown against a conference opponent since 2012 against Arkansas on this trying to reclaim that momentum and it tossed to Thailand Knight sophomore from down in Pearl Mississippi you know we're the first times we sat down with this Ole Miss staff and talked about John Rice Plumlee they mentioned his leadership yeah the intangibles obviously there's a lot to talk about with his skillset but right now this Ole Miss team needs his leadership these types of mistakes need to not face him as a young quarterback that's tough sometimes but he's got a rally the troops right now they're all looking at him he's only got a few games under his belt but right now is a huge moment as you see him trot to the sidelines and they play eubie carousel once again it's not too bluntly about leadership yesterday he said I knew it was important it's always been important in football before the Alabama game I stepped up to my guys especially the upper classmen he said I'm here I am all in we're gonna go get this thing it's a strange situation for Ole Miss a sense of urgency to get to a ball game for the upperclassmen while also playing so many youngsters Corral lobs it it's incomplete and it's a flag it's another defensive pass interference on Texas A&M this time it's Devin Morris their secondary has been flagged for time to coverage affairs [Applause] boy this is a this is a tough call here you're gonna see Devin Morris doesn't get eyes on the football there's not a ton of contact it's it's this last lunge I'm ok with that I mean oh I don't see it I mean there's a little bit of hand fighting if he turns his head it's a no call but because he's not playing the football but still I think that's one that could easily nothing home he's got it Phillips taken down by Justin Metta VK big dude in the middle and 6-3 304 4 a.m. and though not a ton of rhythm for this whole mess passing game I mean all we've seen is throws at the numbers are outside the numbers and every time Corral's in seems like it's a deep shot Ole Miss is Jalen Cunningham back up left guard now playing right guard at Ben brown shuffle to Center and eli johnson out he's gonna have to come out for at least to play maybe more and Ole Miss is depth on the Oh line is gonna be tested keep in mind guys this was an offensive line that brought in six true freshman offensive linemen in this last signing class they didn't have a lot of depth coming in just got back to 85 scholarships in the fall when all the freshmen reported a lot of youth rolling in and out Cunningham played about 30 to 40 snaps against Alabama number 50 middle of your screen and Phillips came right up on his right leg [Applause] John rice Plumlee out of the shotgun quarterback draw and he's not just fast but he's also strong 8-yard run up the middle and retried going back to that unbalance set four receivers to one side trying to play five on five really vacate the box get a body on a body and let John Rice Plumlee try to find a lane and he did now it's a third and short and I expect one in the same here Taylor - it is a new right guard for the second straight play now on the third and two safety coming up and they got the two they needed he was Scotty Phillips [Applause] mine judges right foot is right at the unofficial yellow marker let's say no game now it's fourth down interesting spot and from up here it looks like he had offense staying on the field fourth in short they're gonna bring Snoop Conner in as he does go down early that's actually a really good spot it was just short of the 45 yard line there Ole Miss 8 of 18 up fourth down two running backs in a running quarterback and a bad stab ball scooped up to pick up the first down two racers like you drew it up he remembered his green hat this time it's a 34-yard run off of the poor snap we mentioned just a few plays ago chillin coming hand the left guard going out of the game there's been some shake-up on this offensive line in this this snap by Ben Brown never gets off the ground he started the game at right guard he's played a lot of center he started this game on right guard now playing Center Phillips hit in the backfield by Metta BK no gain shoots a grounder back there that's a great job I don't look more like Kessinger scooping that one off for going you know it's great about that he picked it up and hit the hole that was gonna get hit anyway now there's some awareness right there and we'll say this it's a little misty down here on the field as well so there's a little slight drizzle that's beginning to come down what are you saying the center needs a hand towel [Applause] he's got one on his right here [Applause] Oxford second and goal there's slow developing run by static Phillips no game that'll bring up third and goal from the ten here's where if they wanted Ole Miss is gonna have an opportunity to find Elijah more or one of these upward other receivers on a slant route am is loading the box they're going man press on the outside they had a chance to win in one-on-one coverage Plumlee can't escape Texas A&M and Tamara Morris that is a complete bust I'm pretty sure that Elijah more in the slot is supposed to either come back and get this ball from John Rice Plumlee or fake the reverse look at Plumlee's looking for them I mean it and Elijah Moore came after the play looked to the sideline put his hands up and that was a complete bust 35 yard attempt for Luke Logan and he's already made from 50 tonight to tie the game whoa am got a piece of it and the Aggies will watch it get into the end zone [Applause] Ole Miss can't connect they had first and goal from the ten they get nothing out of it [Applause] just some Adebisi a gap penetration him and Bobby Brown well one of the field goes earlier in the game I did notice the center of that line give blown up in that time just enough what a big play an Ole Miss got a chance to tie up the football game there that's that's two drives in a row ended with big plays a fumble blocked field goal yeah both were the last two drives for Ole Miss got inside to am 30 and both come up with nothing to the ground game and I say is still or no game [Music] [Applause] [Applause] if I'm Mac Mike excuse me Mike McIntyre the Divas coordinator here for Ole Miss I might start dialing up some pressure Kellerman is blitzed and pressured and under the rest more than any quarterback in the country just completes over about 40% in those scenarios he's had a clean pocket the last few quarters to throw the football unimpeded I'd start bringing some pressure [Applause] they don't this sign and monsters the whole open up on the right side Jacquizz Jones finally brings him down after seven they brought Henry the middle linebacker they Sprott him from from distance they brought him for about five or six yard back and sometimes those blitz is up the middle by the linebackers if you're not on the line of scrimmage you're never gonna hit home so they did pressure but has zero effect on kalamaja am just 1 for 7 on 3rd down tonight it is surely for which is just around the corner in a rush as he lets it go and Sam Williams brought the pressure and put him in the turf Callen Mon took a monster head [Applause] I had two receivers breaking towards the middle of the field so no one was able to start to run towards that sideline and give him an option and decides to throw away a good decision but it's late does not feel good what dirty does Jersey and everything need a stain stick am third quarter two possessions both times three and out low kick takes an aggie hop and gets out of bounds at about the 20 let's take a look at the road to the chain take from just 9 of 12 for 35 yards in a rain game visualizer more channel makeup for his mistress Abbott on the last possession of goes to 12 and some extra curriculars if the crowd fired up injured player for Ole Miss down back to the 22 [Applause] it's been brown they replace the injured Center Eli Johnson this could get bad it was replaced by the sense injured Jalen Cunningham not many teams are prepared to go to their third center and with Ole Miss operating almost exclusively out of the gun that gets dangerous third string center thinking about blocking assignments trying to get that ball back quickly and accurately so they can operate the quick zone read well it can be a total mess I was on an Auburn team in 1998 we went through six sinners last season six different Wow Center like spinal tap drummers that season and it's it's one of those deals where you start pulling guards over you start pulling tackles over you were considered a quarterback exchange with different guys and practice you we had the film crew coming out and filming quarterback snaps and hand placement from the quarterbacks it's not something that's really easy to deal with especially live in the middle of a game Eli Jackson has his helmet on again watch 55 Brown just gets folded up on they're working on Justin Mehta BK so Eli Johnson has returned to the game Bryce Ramsey the second-string Center via the depth chart was also looking to get loose see how long Johnson can last [Applause] corral let's ago intercepted Texas a man gets it coach heaven I do not like the play call here and just Corral's in the game they're taking deep shots you roll your quarterback to his left and you're trying to throw an inside slot fade that is a difficult flow [Music] [Applause] how much does quarterback rhythm have to do with a play like that I think it's huge I mean every time corrals innings is expected to make a big plays pushing the ball downfield you have him throwing a deep shot to the left rolling to the left as a right-handed quarterback you're gonna be accurate you don't practice that often enough so it doesn't surprise me that he leaves that inside DB makes great play on it but I don't like the play call for starters but for Chapman with the pick at what point are we gonna see Ole Miss go against those tendencies like you talked about we talked to rich rod about we haven't seen that yeah yeah so he's been predictable without the counters that he was hoping to use or promising to use Mon with a bullet to the edge that's good for an A&M first down pickup of 11 - jimana Osman tell you what with the clean pocket there's not many guys more accurate than Telamon and that's just really been the issue is how frequently Texas a tin can keep eleven upright and give him space to throw because he is as accurate as it gets it just has been so inconsistent the pressure the Blitz the pocket on a foggy night and I'm sure this is simply we've got a one score game headed to the fourth quarter am 17 Ole Miss 14 this one coming down the wire but Hemingway [Music] [Applause] came out scooped up by he's 63 [Applause] well bunny Johnson's fumble return the big difference maker in this game officially 62 yards bangies have turned up the defensive pressure since then another take away on an interception and an N with the ball to start the fourth quarter in the fog is Ken Amon starting to become eerily reminiscent of the 1988 NFL game at Soldier Field between Randall Cunningham and the Eagles and the Chicago Bears uncle Vern was on the call that day you could barely see across the field I quite that thick but interesting nonetheless second down three [Applause] finally flags and whistles echod to jump up front Veneto Jones owns a over 100 head of cattle still eat steak like it isn't as much steak as you though know watch out for that cow I'm chasing it red on red bonito Jones Hardy has his degree from Ole Miss nobody better in the SEC the tackles behind the line of scrimmage and this is how he keeps busy runs the family farm been doing it since about kindergarten when he got into the business took it over for his late father and Sue down at the stockyard they don't know me as bonito Jones the Ole Miss football player they know me as bonito Jones a cattle farmer literally bought a hundred and twenty head in fall camp he's gonna sell in this spring that's he's not passively doing this thing yeah I don't hear Bessie complaining about name image and likeness do you know she should she should same with whoever the Bluebell one is right they use her picture all over the place the spot in question is correct first down it's like Jerry West Jerry West is getting some you know from the NBA so a man I'm the logos the cow that was the Bluebell hey that that's a great point [Applause] here's Isaiah's filler gain of three am starting to do some ball control start to slow this game down but we'll say you can't just get into a situation here where you're gonna be okay with three you're gonna win this football game by scoring touchdowns Ole Miss yes they've made some mistakes but they are as explosive as it gets in college football they can score at the drop of a hat so important at A&M takes time off the clock but I got to try to get six here [Applause] bond complete and jimana has been stopped short of the first down and that's gonna leave about third and three [Applause] one of eight on third down this evening the two tight ends in the game old miss gonna load the box is this akela mod running situation he's averaging just three yards who carry tonight he's got lead blockers and he's got a first down mine stays inbounds to take it all the way down to the 20 15 yard run what made you say that what did you see well just watching film when they get in this unbalanced to tight end set you create problems with leverage and if you throw the quarterback run in there you see tight end tight in you got three bodies over here and they're not accounting for the quarterback you also have a running back there that can be a lead blocker so yeah for athletic guys that can get on the edge because your quarterback is running the football try like really really where they found the most success tonight is kelan mom and his legs first charge timeout touch to sign in am used to time I kind of like what we were talking about tonight with John Rice Plumlee learning how to count a man Craig getting it from Jimbo Fisher I have to use a timeout here for the three-point lead you come here to Oxford that's a painful tattoo [Applause] got the light show going here on a busy weekend after basketball teams took it to the square last night come down dumps from Jane to hitting and hitting all the way across some bad judges in that Bell ball we grow in nines out when it should be tens across the board table are hoops I went to 11 later fog getting thicker mine hit as he plays and that one will fall to the turf Sam Williams again dirtying the back of Kellerman's Jersey and again Sam Williams he's really supposed to take the inside on that one they were blitzing with the nickel cornerback off the edge but just too powerful in a couple times he's one with speed he's one was speed on this one he's stuntin inside because they're bringing pressure on the outside and he actually just wins no strength bull rush there and finishes strong they've been trying to find somebody that can consistently win on the outside he's definitely stepped up to the plate tonight sack last week and the loss at Missouri Mon lets you go to the outside [Applause] first and goal now jimana has been another grab he was really quiet early that one goes for 11 that's about the third maybe the fourth out route we've seen jimana has been catch on the outside and it's not an easy throw for a quarterback timing is impeccable bike Le Monde you see that relationship starting all the way back in high school between those two third catch on this Drive by Osman Spiller and Richardson split Black's flanking Monde [Applause] now now play action by facing pressure Robson and complete Kendrick Rogers the intended receiver bonito Jones ended up to the face of Monde washes hand warmer well early for hand warmers in it Cole did you say that AMS got heaters on their bench they do have heaters cranked up behind their bench yes about 62 degrees I'm trying to look like a professional with a sport coat on Rogers that's not about the temperature it's not your look lose the code let's go I want the casual Cole bag [Applause] second a goal for a NN I get all sorts of discombobulated before the snap the style [Applause] I think everybody with the center we've been left gargle ready for that one had a great look there Courtney Davis was going to run a corner route from the inside and a three by one set now they move Davis back to the slot at the top of your screen [Applause] dropped by siblings [Music] [Applause] that's a great play call there by Mac Mike McIntyre left two guys including Sam Williams who made the tackle to spy on Kelly bond here see how he doesn't drop in just backpedals he's actually playing zone coverage but he's also keeping eyes on Kelly bond because they've had so much success on that quarterback draw third and goal on the quarterback here third goal I'm looking for my big bodied receiver Kenseth Rodgers towards the back of the endzone incomplete no sweat had to go over his head t-turn Smith with the coverage [Music] took the one-on-one matchup on the outside tried to throw a jump ball that's a line drive that's tough the receivers got to be able to time it just right you'd like maybe for him to take a little bit of velocity off this throw leave it on the field so Osman has a chance to make a play good coverage 28 yard attempt for small he's already made from 24 missed it he pushed it right and the Aggies come up with nothing that is the first miss inside the 40 this season force s small a motion on the Ole Miss side now [Music] yeah meg Jones is now in the game Alabama leading Tennessee 21 Sen elsewhere Les Miles bidding for an upset forty all between Kansas and Texas with a strike for a gain of 15 also former Ole Miss quarterback shaped Patterson just led a scoring drive for Michigan there within one score of Penn State trying to give the Nittany Lions their first loss of this season would be the second undefeated Big Ten team to go down today let's see well they took the score off the board pardon me 2814 penn state late in the fourth [Applause] he's got a corpse just shy the markets gonna leave second and shorten you take a shot here well it didn't take long for Rich Rodriguez to change up his tendencies so Matt Crowell in the game now what have we seen all game deep shots to the sidelines the first play is his own read with an interior throw and then his own run play on the second one second is short nothing doing snoop counter take it down so now just like that you've left yourself with a third and three shoe now I bring Oh Philip was hurt you bring Plumlee in run alone zone read yeah Ole Miss had a key play in the Missouri game to close the first half a fourth and goal from about the 2 yard line they ran it with Corral at quarterback they're held short Matt Luke said the one mistake I made in that game that I wish I would have done differently is I went in the locker room and I should have addressed my team and said I absolutely believe in that play call I believe in you guys I would do it again a hundred times because this team needs to hear that you have confidence in them and their abilities Missouri grabbed the momentum ended up with the win Phillips will be helped out eally hasn't returned since the first half yet a 69 yard touchdown run and soup counter has been effective he's got a touchdown run tonight and don't forget these situations we easily put these quarterbacks in boxes but Matt Corral is mobile yes he's not as dangerous says John Rice Plumlee but he can operate the zone read he did last year he did early in the year so he's still a threat to run comes from the tough family his dad as a Marine served in Afghanistan a couple tours over there California kid is brimming with confidence on 3rd and 2 they want him to throw against the Blitz he lobs it down the side it is incomplete and Ole Miss now looking at 4th and a long to just [Applause] don't like the play call that's why I would have said I'd brought in John Rice Plumlee now look I haven't been an officer coordinator and don't have the credentials or the experience that Rich Rodriguez does but the way Plumlee is running the football third and short I like him in the ball game [Applause] my name is Smith up the sideline not back towards the middle and he gets tripped up background 44-yard punt 26 on the return 1714 Texas A&M with the lead here at Oxford let us say I mean I'm here I'm here for the lip sweater are they all here for it you got a mustache like that you don't want those hands what you know just that you know you don't mess with a guy like that we've got a mustache like that oh I don't get such lime a beer and say yeah you're better than me Jenna at Texas A&M with 850 to go they're in Richardson softball from just up the road a Memphis by way of UCF fix up for so much on the line for Texas A&M as they continue what they think is the path to a championship for the national championship winning coach they are heavily invested in their chips here in the center of the table and they know that this made and this is not the season for they're moving towards next year and to stay on time they've got to win the games are supposed to well the toughest schedules in college football and it's been tough sledding for Richardson will grind out water [Music] Oh miss platooning here bringing in six new bodies then the starters back out there for this key 35 [Applause] they flex our DNA [Applause] and get it off [Applause] except all teams [Applause] well punted away Ole Miss looked like they had momentum on their last possession but couldn't get it down at second and short that led to a punt only shave Patterson had a touchdown run for Michigan to make that a 1 touchdown game over on ABC on the road of Penn State hey Jimbo there just ask Ellen what he did I believe kelan said no one was guarding him right I mean the guy that was on the running back was running from the opposite outside the opposite hash he just got to get him the ball sooner or carry on through his progression I think they had a good play called but getting out to the running back in the flat with the defender on that angle third and 5 play should have been plenty of time right with only a three-man rush yeah that is a beautiful punt it turns over and it checks up and it will trickle to the pylon and out of bounds what a fantastic job a 55 yarder from Braden man the reigning Ray Guy Award winner Shane Legler the nine-time Pro Bowler be pleased with this one that guy's the man punter you am living up to the reputation punters celebrate too the US Men's National Team in Canada last week a lot of missed kicks and also generalized public put the ball on the ground officially a 62-yard fumble return for buddy Johnson Aggies grab the momentum on that one Logan had a 35-yard of Black Keys also missed from 50 and was just a meta BK who got in there and now man's punt has pin Ole Miss deep Matt corralling the passing quarterback is in another deep ball down the sideline same play call generally the same result Sanders the intended receiver I mean it's it's a little perplexing to me I've had opportunities on a few of those but that's your call coming out he did get to sprint out away from the pressure so that's a bonus yeah but you're sprinting away from a vertical down the left sideline not a post not an in braking route of vertical cuts that's a low percentage slowly garages three of eight tonight they try to run it out they do soup Connor will give them a little bit of wiggle room [Music] [Applause] this offense has been most successful with John rice Plumlee at quarterback given the run going ground pressure push snap towards it back to the end zone an incomplete at a wide receiver there but it would be miss wanted to get this play going quickly with am unsettled but they're unsettled that direction and then you leave the defensive end completely unblocked sliding the offensive line all the way to the left that doesn't help when you're sprinting in that direction the entire pass game just seems completely discombobulated right now no rival reason they go to the half in Tuscaloosa Alabama leads Tennessee 2110 but to a tongue of Aloha has not returned to that game since going into the tent went into the locker room earlier [Applause] when I asked myth at the 45-yard line 55 yard punt for on the return 1714 am leading Ole Miss and the mist has now worked its way into the booth and the passing game missing for Ole Miss what can they do to fix it I think they need to get John Rice plummy back in the game I think they need to continue to lean on running with him adding an extra blocker to the point of attack and letting him throw the football I mean they really haven't attacked the middle of the field they haven't got wide receivers running in space short easy throws so they've kind of been hot or cold throwing the football and running in general an offense is the Revels offense good enough to strike fast with just the QB run game and we're trying right so literally I mean John Rice Plumlee is right now with Ely out did Phillips come back in the game I'm not sure but right now he's your most talented player with the ball in his hands give him that opportunity he's earned it and I think your offense is at its best when he's got the football [Applause] telamon wants to put it in the air and first down Oh dangerous past it's complete - husband the jaylen Jones was all over it [Music] Jinbo coming up throwing on first down with the lead and a little late on this throw double pumps it it has enough velocity and that's a that's a great strong catch by jimana husband on the outside he's a he's a big impressive receiver you see this guy in person shredded zero body fat big hands Mon bottled up immediately squirts free and he's able to pick up the first down now a.m. take your time note this play clock this run is stopped initially mom does a good job being patient here a second opportunity bounces it to the outside and stays in bounds great job of staying in bounds they're taking on the tacker the tackler instead of very easily just stepping out about to stop the clock Maggie's had a struggle through a neutral site win against Arkansas couple weeks ago here on the reverse it's Courtney Davis Davis jacquez Jones had it read the entire way it's a loss of six [Applause] it's a great job a little razzle-dazzle trying to go reverse here switch things up get Ole Miss thinking they're going downhill get Courtney Davis your athlete on the outside but Jones does a great job of staying home with that great and negative play now in second along that scene is back on the table for Texas A&M and Ole Miss counters by bringing in an extra DB Mon just 16 of 28 so far tonight there's nobody guarding there we go he gets out there it's a draw all the way mine with a stiff arm carries it inside the 40 in a hurdle of the bench at the end a lot of big substitutions by Ole Miss and last two drives they've been too late get lined up late on that third our moth through to the running back they did make a good play and right there there was Lee getting lined up again Aggies 2 of 11 a third down because bond has been using his feet I wouldn't be surprised [Applause] backers spiked Ellen big coverage and keep an eye on him medium Ang's will use a timeout with the play clock winding down though ran through receivers as a it Ole Miss did not make any changes on the defensive side what's going on tonight let's get you to the studio and dari guys how about the Les Miles impact Kansas trailing Texas by seven touchdown in the closing minute of the ballgame les says you know what let's go 4-2 in the lead and Carter Stanley completes the pass they lead by one Texas is driving on about 220 as time is winding them Texas is eight know all time at home against Kansas they've never won by less than 14 points and now the Jayhawks have put up their most conference points since 2010 against Colorado what a day Wisconsin going down the Texas that fits a Michigan game is coming down the wire two and two at Unga but law is seemingly injured the landscape of college football could be in for a little bit of a shake-up the power on how things finish out here at night and we wake up on Sunday moment [Applause] and out of the timeout 36 or miss some pressure with they're gonna back off running Mons first down he seems to be able to see the whole even before it opens when I mentioned his back to tower can a spy any of these linebackers you're gonna see there's nobody right here Jacquizz jones the line back that's supposed to be right there is guarding the slot defender outside which leaves nobody on monde and not a call drawn that time either my injunction blocking straight up pass protection Vaughn just saw a vacated box and took advantage of it three and a half minutes and Counting as we're Mike McIntyre might start using some defensive timeouts talk to him about it yesterday as a is filler with a couple [Music] black roll in here [Music] if a enough army of Ole Miss can hole into a field goal then they're gonna need some clock left if I can't stop him from a touchdown be a moot point a.m. in this heavy set to tight ends and a fullback in the game [Applause] Brian Rennick one of the tight ends right am i or the other they're run behind wider mire and they got a first down and more textile Texas [Applause] Aggies take the lead here and Texas just hit a walk-off field goal to knock down Kansas Tom Harmons team Sephora survives against Les Miles [Applause] says small for the point after it's good TenPoint am lead with 234 to go you see Charles Wiley on this play he's got contained he's gonna start in and just doesn't get back outside to stop contain here does a good job at first but you got to see this come and got to get back outside off that block as quick as possible hangs on the block a little too long and isn't able to come off and get Spiller in time kind of wondering if Lakia Henry was supposed to replace over the top rest the defensive line seem to be slanting at least on the move a little bit to the left side did not get a replacement defender over the top to take contain like resettling I think there was a little split zone action was there there there was a little misdirection which might might be why Henry was a little slow getting to the outside there what about this performance by Kellen Mon I thought he's been sharp yeah you know I mean up and down a little bit in the first half but in the second half Texas A&M gave him a clean pocket and he did what he does best stand there go through your progressions he's accurate when he's not under pressure and he doesn't have to move next say them to get a good job leaning on that and finally buying the Jomon husband and getting him going [Applause] [Music] rebels it's a big place trying to get a starter with special teams and jinglun chones gets tripped up at the 16 yard line they what the biggest difference for Texas A&M tonight is the balance 168 yards rushing they came into the game on the averaging 80 against FBS opponents and 172 passing that's a great formula for them you maybe want to be a little more explosive in the pass game but when you can be that balanced that is how a Jimbo Fisher offense is successful starts with the run game you don't have that piece going upstream let's talk about the Rich Rodriguez offense now down by 10 Matt Corral in the game if they're going to be past happy now how can they be more efficient or effective I should say and attack the middle to feel it I mean I know it's late but Texas A&M is going to be playing outside leverage protecting the sidelines leaping catch made for a first down by Elijah Moore and a great job there on a corner route by Elijah boar great catch but again you still have enough time and you need a couple big plays so the middle of the field is not out of the question now to give you guys a chance to run after the catch rebels can stop the clock three times without two scores growl flushed from the pocket and he's going to take a sack take him down at the 22 yard line rolling at two minutes that Luke will not use the timeout here Andre white jr. with the second to loss of 12 now finally they use the timeout [Applause] can't do this you as soon as you get outside the pocket first charge timeout Ole Miss for a second it's a big play his eyes go back to the middle of the field he's got to stay outside if no one's there outside throw that ball ten rows up in the bleachers stop the clock not as worried about having three or four downs as you are about getting chunk plays and not having negative plays growl on the headset likely talking with Rich Rodriguez up top they're looking at a second and 21 which ride in a hat and he is fired up is he well can we plug into that that would be entertainment [Applause] I don't know who's on the other end of that but I couldn't have been fun on second at 21 they go over the middle they get some of it back o'clock for all its Braylon Sanders ain't can't afford to use the time out here you only have two left and you're down two scores yeah you got to keep those in your pocket but again if those timeouts are going to come into effect you got a score really in the next 20 30 seconds growl pumped let it go those intercepted picked off by Renfro now they say incomplete so Debbie on renfro knocks it down now they're looking at fourth and long where I'll tries to squeeze it in that honey hole below right above the flat defender in between the safety now you got to get enough time Texas A&M looks like they're just gonna rush three [Applause] they flush him Corral escapes and he gets to the marker fresh set of downs clock will stop for a moment 124 to go that's dangerous it's a really good job but but to your point he's he's not just a pastor he goes mobile he is mobile absolutely he can make those plays for you not as dynamic as a genre I Plumbly but in these situations they need the arm of Mac Corral [Applause] Corral we'll throw this one backwards it's a live ball they say was incomplete if that look backwards to me did it not to you that was really close definitely didn't cross the line of scrimmage I think they're going to throw a late flag gear [Applause] he was at the forty that thing landed didn't land but he looked like it went out of bounds at the 39 been legal backward pass to conserve time penalties losses down plus five yards for a smaller file second now there's one you don't see often no basically another iteration of intentional grounding [Applause] 1:19 left on the clock two timeouts left they're gonna place it at the 35 only 57 yards of offense of the fourth quarter for Ole Miss on 12 plays [Applause] four-man rush around quickly to the outside touch made and Corral took a shot hmm it took one below-the-belt huh it was a rip house a great throw when you're gonna see a hit here come late I think he's going to catch a leg yeah he's in some pain you mentioned earlier though he's a tough kid a talented quarterback and I know those teams ain't been going back and forth but you look at Matt crown you're like is a better and he's played you played in a few games last year they won the last four more total yeah four total have spread a little bit I mean he's a guy that has a lot of growth ahead of him as well so whatever direction they decide to go and if it is still just the two quarterback system they have two talented quarterback sense figuring out how to manage those I think tonight they played too much into the tendencies of the strengths of each [Applause] so John rice Plumlee in looking at a third and 10 [Applause] see what Mike Elka has drawn up crane in [Applause] in complete Corral will reenter that bolts it [Applause] like it might have been a little high anyway fourth and ten backgroud look into the direction of Eliezer more but she does first down for Ole Miss 102 [Music] so crowd caught his breath for wide here down ten hundred minutes ago shovel pass it is hauled in by Snoop Connor after a father another on this first town a consecutive place lock stops for a second at 48 are you going to take a shot in the endzone after this to stop the clock you got to take a shot into the end zone maybe we have a call tonight Jonathan bingo they're true freshmen receiver on the outside is a big body guy 6-3 6-4 to get him involved more consistently just want one reception actually no receptions last game talented at times has been a go-to guy at times he disappears here in man coverage I'm taking a shot Coran looking for him and now he dumps it often Connor got a stiff on he gets tripped up in bounds o'clock we'll run 35 a man Luke uses a timeout here and it got an injured player debby on Renfro for Texas A&M Corral initially looked in the direction of Mingo but he got stymied at the line of scrimmage and we're pressure corralled a great job just getting the ball out of his hands pretty big collision on the sideline around 9 of 18 124 charged Thomas gets a timeout back that's huge calls for a ten-second subtraction oh this will decline the ten-second subtraction in the game pop will start on my snap Renfro looks like he took a knee to the kidneys Penn State has held off Michigan Nittany Lions remain undefeated three big 10 teams to this point undefeated along with Ohio State in Minnesota it's one big ouch wolf he gets shoved into that yeah like the dance floor at the library and mustache is playing full-contact I wouldn't know what that's tonight's the night tonight's the nice body let me tell you town and the credit card receipt comes back to tell people his late fees third and one swings it out to Connor needs a first down would be short at least you got out of bounds and another fourth down for Ole Miss [Applause] here's a job my buddy Janice is we just take the field goal and a half two onside kick gonna have to get the ball back got to get one of each anyway we've Logan's in 35 that'll unblocked awhile ago and he pushes this one through it [Applause] on sidekicks are just about impossible to stay an age and you got to get a real lucky bounce under the high snap there but that's true as saml miss converted an onside kick with September of 16 against Alabama was that the game Katy Perry was waving corn dogs diving off the bar Funky's let me guess you were there no I was busy but they do have her shirt framed that funky jeans that she wore that night is that what she was on game day yeah I have confirmation that was 2014 oh my bad fair enough Cole was there yes shirt on top of the bar until I got cake these odd sidekicks used to be a lot easier when you could one bounce them you know drill them into the ground and get a high hop now you gotta get one that just dribbles and he kicks off that second or third bounce and you can still take your fair catch on that high huh yeah there you go that's a good one a perfect kick could have had a flag for an illegal batted ball yeah you gonna be careful on those I mean if you can get a hand on it I'm not trying to get two on it let's see did he have a chance officials are discussing this by the way that's this mean Don Terry old Drummond was one who punched it forward and Mingo couldn't quite chase it down they definitely can't get two hands in there try to catch his he does a good job just at least trying to break it up and just gets a bad bounce at the end they do throw the flag [Applause] well what 22 seconds left unless justice with procedural penalty on Texas A&M which doesn't look like it is then the flag is generally irrelevant this is a game the Texas A&M couldn't afford to lose talk about the long-term viability illegal batting the ball forward by the kicking team the ball was out of bounds after and later being touched by the receiving team the ball Austin Texas A&M 10-yard penalty added to the inside about spot their ball first down there wasn't a whole lot to gain in this game for Texas A&M it was just one of those that if you're going to compete for championships down the road you can't afford no you can absolutely look at this schedule at the end of the season regardless of Al Texas A&M finishes out you can understand the difficulty but if Jimbo Fisher is gonna have this program start to separate itself it's going to be separating itself from the bottom tier or the mid tier teams and these are games that they've even 2417 you look at it though this team is talented enough this year and moving forward to dominate these games against a team that's a lot of true freshmen it's going through a little different time period and change over but regardless you'll take a win wins a win it'll be just a second Road win since he came to am like at Mississippi State at home next and they're trying to sweep the Mississippi schools for the first time since Johnny Manziel was their quarterback timeout Oh miss 30-second timeout you mentioned how they closed it at Georgia at LSU is this an A&M team this is their second charge timeout that could put a fly in the ointment for LSU or Georgia at the end of season both on the road boy I mean yeah you'd see they always have that opportunity but I mean this offensive line looked good in the second half but they got to get a lot better going against teams like LSU and Georgia I think I got to get more consistent on the back end as well Ole Miss can stop it one more time third and final charge timeout Ole Miss 30-second timeout they're making them work for it ya never know what those snaps and that'll do it Aggies take the knee and it will run out the clock on Ole Miss Aggies got a big block field goal they got a fumble return of six to two yards for a score for buddy Johnson they put up with the inconsistent offensive attack they included a pair of pics Tomek Le Monde but they hold on for the victory the touchdown victory on the road goal is Santa fine with Jimbo coach Fisher based on what's already happened this season and what you know is coming up this season how important was it to get a W tonight it's big to get a w 9 days to go on the road get that out of the way we didn't play great at all I thought we had good momentum and they come out controlled a third quarter we got the big drive down there didn't scored then we did get a score though it found some more running game but he's got to keep sawing wood but we got a big win on the road that's an SEC win it won't take it whiskey progressive minutes shoot a couple big runs some of those came from Kalamata what does it do for you to play caller just knowing you have a guy like him to be able to lean on guys he had some run pass options there and he picked up a couple big third downs in that Drive and then we allowed to pound a ball in the young freshman got going in you know we're not perfect we got to get a lot better but having his legs is huge Thank You coach thank you so Kelemen and Texas A&M hold on and we've got plenty coming your way back to the studio and update on to us health what's going on with Alabama Tennessee and the rest of the college football landscape on a wild day not just in the SEC but all across college football Ole Miss lost momentum on a fumble return score that covered 62 yards buddy Johnson's stellar play continues for the Aggies they come on the road and quiet Ole Miss a 24-17 final and Oxford out of the studio sorry during inches gentlemen all yours
