Testing Temu Craft Supplies

love them or hate them it looks like Teemu is here to stay but how good are their Craft products today we're going to find out let's get started [Music] hello welcome back to the crafty organizer I'm Noreen and today I want to go over the quality of these Teemu Craft products I did a review on if Teemu was worth the hype I got a lot of feedback and one of the most consistent things I hear about is but it's a China company and I respect anybody's political views however here are some things that I found about temu that I touched on briefly but I'm not going to go over it here I'm just going to point you to this article this is from ejet sourcing and it's a very comprehensive article about timu everything you need to know if you're interested I strongly suggest reading this article something I like is right at the top there's a table of contents so you can quickly answer whatever questions you have one of the things I was most happy to see is that the products are sourced from all over the world Mexico Thailand Morocco India Indonesia so they are getting them from everywhere and they are not manufacturing the items themselves so as you are shopping you'll see sometimes there are multiple items from Teemu but it's because they're being listed by many manufacturers this is the same practice that Amazon uses so again you may choose on your own I am simply providing the information so that you can make your own decision so please be kind in the comments I do not need to hear anything that's really really negative I respect your decision please respect mine to just provide the information that being said let's Dive In so here are the items that I got and if you don't want to see the haul you can go ahead and fast forward to when I'm reviewing them I got this set of sunflower stencils and when I test these later I will show you the price and the item number if you want to get it I thought these were super cute they are not adhesive so if you are used to chalk Couture these are going to be a little bit different but I'll show you exactly how they work later I also got some dyes and I am going to be giving a lot of these things away so please stay till the end to find out how you can win them but I am excited to try these out these would be for a sizzix or whatever other type of die cut holder you have I also just wanted to try out these Cutters for wrapping paper I got binder clips for me we're not going to test those I'm super excited about this brush cleaner I've seen that all over Tick Tock some metallic markers I got some small sheets of scrapbook paper with a B theme I'm So Into the bees right now I got a pen organizer much like the one I diy'd some time ago some pop-up birthday cards I got a pair of Scissors because I just wanted to see how good they were some rainbow gel pens some little beads and I'll talk about that later I got an under the drawer organizer that you can stick on I also got some Cricut items some transfer tape and some heat press some stickers that'll be fun to try out I also got some rub on transfers some beautiful washi tape I can't wait to see how that looks some erasers I was just trying to get a broad view of things a burnisher some straight pins Garland which I don't remember ordering and some little tiny Post-it notes so let's get started with the item I am most excited about and that is this brush cleaner I've seen this on Amazon but mostly on Tick Tock now I did have to assemble it and it was a little bit tricky because as you may or may not know not all items from temu come with directions when I was trying to open up the water bottle to put water in it I couldn't get it open so after a few minutes I gave up I found the best way was just to pour water into the opening if there's a way to open this and you know please tell me um but I couldn't get it open so I just went ahead and turned it upside down I didn't find any leaks which is good there's an octagon shaped compartment that it slides into and there is a slot to make sure you're putting it in correctly so that the flow of water goes into the little Reservoir as soon as I pushed it in the water came I'm sure once it filled the gravity line no more water came out so I'm gonna fill up my paintbrush I'm really going to jam it in because I want to see how well it cleans the paintbrush cleaned right away and all you have to do is press the little button to get rid of the dirty water there's ridges around the little concave area which really help to clean the brush I'm happy with this so far you just get rid of the water new water fills in and the dirty water goes into this very large Reservoir now I didn't do this on camera but I emptied two full bottles into that I wouldn't recommend doing that because obviously it could spill but if you're doing a half a bottle or so and you're doing a lot of painting I think this is a great tool if you have had cups of water lying around when you're painting you all know that it gets knocked over or Worse please tell me in the comments if you've done this you're not thinking you're crafting you see a glass you pick it up and yes it's happened to me please tell me if this has happened to you I love the idea of this because it's obviously something that is just for cleaning your brush when I have the compartment full I picked it up shook it around to see if any water came out if you shake it it does spill but the bottle did not leak I had it set up with water flowing into the reservoir for over 24 hours and there was no leakage so I think this is a great item if you decide to get this item it is 4.67 on Teemu or I found a similar product on Amazon for 22.98 next we're going to look at this under drawer organizer now this is something you would add on under a counter or perhaps you have a desk that doesn't have a drawer or remember I built my desk with planks of wood I didn't have any drawers for little things so this has a slide area where the drawer slides into there's a stop to keep it from coming out and it just slides in much like the Sterilite drawers that you see this has a double-sided PAD as I mentioned and it does have cushion so if you have something with a little texture it should easily adhere to it I'm noticing Teemu has a theme here with their items not peeling off well I'm hoping that that is not a constant theme but I'm going to go ahead and adhere this to the top portion this is what's going to go to the underside of my desk I'm making sure it's pressed really well and I'm also making sure that I remember which area is the front so I'm going to peel off that other side and it very much has a high tack I'm leaving the drawer inside so that I can make sure it is flush and even to the edge of my desk and now I'm going to press it and make sure it has a solid adhesion once I know it's adhered well I'm going to put the drawer back inside now something I noticed as you're putting things inside is again you don't want to weigh it down too much this is a lightweight plastic drawer and as you can see as soon as I pushed it in the first time it went past its stop and now I cannot pull it back so this is definitely something to watch for the reason this happened is I had already had too many things in that were heavy so it easily slid past the stop let me show you the very edge here there's a tiny stop there but if the drawer is heavy and pulling down it's going to easily pass that stop so you want to make sure to not overload it if it does go past you just have to pull down gently and it'll slide past that area make sure as you're closing it you're not pushing too hard and then it's not overloaded I think this is a great thing to add on if you've got an area where you just need to hold some small things conveniently but you don't have the ability to get a new desk I think this would be cute under a shelf or something too this item was 3.98 and it came in three different sizes next we're going to move on to the pen holder now remember I made one of these with the egg crate and it held just about every size of pen so I'm excited to see what this will hold again there were no directions so I just snapped the little feet in place I noticed it didn't snap together cleanly there were some grooves but let's try the pens Copic does not fit Crayola brand fits inside so do the generics that are similar in size my Zig pin did not fit Sharpie fits on one Edge but I like having my tips down so that did not fit the tombow fine tip pens do fit in as well as the dollar store markers so three out of the six fit so as long as it's thin it will fit in you can also put pencils and brushes in I think it's fine for that but given that it would only hold a small percentage of my pens I think the four dollars is a little bit steep I would rather use it as a plant stand so on this particular one I would pass I think the Dollar Tree items or the DIY one that I did is a much better cost also if you're spending four dollars a piece for these and it's only holding a specific size I don't know I'm kind of on the fence with this one let me know what you think in the comments below now we're gonna look at the dies I'm really excited about this sometimes when I'm making cards I enjoy this more than my Cricut because I can just Mass produce shapes to get them onto cards this first one is a dimensional flower and I thought this was so cute so I'm trying just on my regular paper this is a lightweight cardstock paper it came out nice and clean I'm using my little sharp tool on dies there's usually a hole on the back so that you can pop the paper out of the die and this popped out very nicely the weight feels the same as the dies that I've gotten from Hobby Lobby and from the dollar store this also has the small embossed areas so that if there's any fold or score lines you can easily see it so the way this would work is you just layer the colors or the shapes together and put it together I think this is super cute this particular one was 2.49 now I'm showing another one that I got for my Christmas cards that I'm going to make this was just a little swirly Christmas tree and it popped out just the same way super cute item and I can make lots of cards with this this particular die was only 99 cents the last one and I really was excited about this was a favor box now I make little gift boxes like this all of the time this will allow me to knock out favor boxes and gift boxes in just minutes obviously it's only half the box so you'd have to run this through twice I'm not going to show you that I think because this paper was thicker I had a harder time with it there were a couple of edges that just didn't go through cleanly and that was when I ran it through both times so I'm not sure if that's an issue with the die or if it's with my paper but it also provides the score line so you can see where to fold it so here's how you use these you make two and attach it together and it gives you the overlapping areas so that you know exactly where to adhere it and then I'm going to embellish this box with that little flower the center has a hole so that it's easier to line up and I'm going to cover that hole with a tiny little Pearl and then add the leaf in the back I think this is such a cute decoration and this took minutes with the die cut this particular size would fit a gift card candy small jewelry this die was 4.49 now let's move on to the b Paper again this would be so cute for those little boxes that I just made but I really got it because I wanted to see the weight of it it's a little bit heavier than paper but a little bit lighter than cardstock and I only wanted a few of these pages so this will be going into my giveaway box the bees are definitely my theme this year I just finished my coffee bar and I'm so excited to show you how it turned out I finally found those Dollar Tree plates that everyone's had so stay tuned to see how that looks I think this particular blue one is my favorite and then the gray just has little Honeycombs all over it this pack was three dollars and eight cents for the 24 sheets now we're going to test out the metallic markers now I have been wanting a set like this and the last one I saw on Amazon was about twelve dollars for a set so I'm excited to see how these turn out so far they Glide very easily I'm doing it in black paper so you can see what kind of coverage it is but I thought the colors were beautiful and I'm sad that this video doesn't show the Shimmer because it definitely has a high Shimmer content to it maybe this one will show up a little bit better but for the price of 4.95 I absolutely love these pens and I think they're a win these are the rainbow gel pens now I was kind of surprised that they didn't show up on the black paper so I also expected the color to change a little bit more as I was writing and it does but it's such a slight change so I thought I would write out just a full page of text so we could see if the color changes and as I'm writing I'm noticing it is changing but not as significantly as I would have thought I also found that it was a very thin pen and it didn't Glide well so I wasn't as impressed with these this isn't something I would buy again now I'm super excited to try these stencils I used spray adhesive on the back of one because I want to see if there's bleed through without you know the way the chocolate works so I'm just dabbing paint on with one of my stencil brushes I'm not going to bore you with the whole thing but I'm just showing how I'm using a tapping motion I am not brushing so I'm not trying to push paint underneath I'm going to use my brush cleaner again because I think it's actually an amazing tool I am very happy with this you can see the water goes underneath there is no dripping I promise I won't keep going on and on about this brush cleaner but I really am impressed with it I let it sit for a few minutes but it is not dry I'm taking it off and there was Zero bleed through on the non-adhered side this one had the spray adhesive and it took a little bit of the paper off that's not the stencil's fault that's my fault for not using the removable adhesive I use permanent so I think these are really cute I think they turned out great I have a lot of things that I am looking forward to using on these but I'm only going to pick out my few favorites and I'm passing the rest on to you this set of nine was only 3.19 next we're going to look at rub-ons I have not used these transfer images very much but I've been seeing a lot of Dollar Tree YouTube videos so I wanted to see how these compare so I've got a little plank of wood and I'm also going to try these against the Dollar Tree rub ons just to see if there's a big difference I'm also going to try out the new scissors they feel just like every other pair of scissors I have they are sharp they're a nice weight and they seem to cut very well so I'm going to use the welcome and the home with some little embellishments and then I'm going to use one of the new Teemu images underneath just to make a cute little block I'm really just using this to show not for anything that I wanted to keep I was surprised to finally find these Dollar Tree transfers I don't find them often let me know if your crafter square is scaring more things in your Dollar Tree mine is so hit or miss I really have to drive around and hit several before I can find anything these little designs were super cute they look like little watercolors so I picked out a little teapot and I also picked out this little pot of lavender now I want to make sure the main image is down first so I'm going to use that and then add the words over it in trying to take the tissue paper off the back I realized once again I have an issue separating I don't know why I always have an issue with Teemu items but once I finally got it separated it came apart from the image which I wasn't expecting and I also found that it was sticky which made me question is is this a transfer or I don't know so I had to go look at the paper again and guess what I discovered even though these look like transfer sheets they're sticker sheets and I just have a hard time with descriptions on Teemu I don't know why so I rubbed it down really well I'm disappointed that it is not in fact a rub on the Dollar Tree transfers were great I had no problem with those but since there's not really a true comparison it's not fair to show you so it's cute I I wish they had been rubbons it says stickers right on it I noticed that when I'm shopping I'm using my phone and the descriptions are super small and I'm almost 57 years old so my vision is definitely not what it used to I recommend if you have a hard time seeing the small things on your phone shop on the computer there is a website that you can go to for Teemu I find it much better because it's easier to see the full description and to go through and see pictures I have had more issues with descriptions being wrong or wrong by what I thought it was based on the image the image doesn't always match the description so that's my tip if you find that you're disappointed with getting things like I'm doing next we're going to try these little gift wrap holder slash Cutters now I noticed that they are much larger than most of the rolls of gift wrap that I have maybe these were designed for those giant Costco rolls so I had a hard time getting it started because it wasn't snug around the paper but once I got it started it slid right through it cut cleanly it was a nice little thing I tried a second time just to see if it was easier to get started and once I got the hang of getting it on and started it worked great I'm going to do one more just to see if I can show you how to slide it through the groove so when it's just holding paper it won't cut but there is a second little Notch that slides through and cuts the paper now I have a brand new roll of gift wrap it was too large to hold that one either so I'll have to leave it in a separate pocket a set of two was 2.99. now I'm going to go over this washi tape and it looked like it had a die cut Edge and I'm so excited about that so again opening things on Teemu and getting things separated maybe it's me if you have had items before please tell me am I alone or do you have issues too when I broke this off I immediately noticed that there were iridescent rainbow holographic things on there which I thought was gorgeous so when I go to peel it off I'm just praying that it is die cut and it is oh my gosh you guys I'm in love with this I'm putting it on color so that you can see the edges but on white paper this is just a stunning Washi border this is my favorite thing so far honestly this roll was 2.49 and I am sure I'm going to be getting more now we're going to be going over some stickers I use these when I'm doing my planner I love adding little embellishments just to make my month look more vibrant and Whimsical and fun so once again getting things off it's just me I didn't like these stickers because they were really shiny and if I'm putting it on my calendar sometimes I don't like that shine but for 59 cents it's a great way to add some things next we're going to look at these eucalyptus leaves and upon taking them out I was glad they were more matte so these should stick to my planner well and allow me to do more crafting with it without being that obvious sticker look now do you see a theme Here I am trying my best to get this sticker off the back and I just can't seem to do it there's no Edge to separate there's no split upon the back I'm double checking are they stickers I I don't know now I'm doubting myself because it doesn't say sticker anywhere so I don't know what these would be used for are they stickers let me know here's the last one I'm going to look at these look just like the first stickers I tried they have the same amount of shine to it so I'm expecting them to come off but let's go for the trifecta of not being able to get these off the sheet no matter what I am trying I finally set it down and got an X-Acto Knife and tried peeling it off and all it did was remove what looked like paint so I don't know if you cut these out or what you would use these for but these aren't stickers either now let's look at these pop-up cards I was disappointed that the front didn't have more to it and the inside is adorable but I think what I would end up doing is embellishing The Living Daylights out of these to give them a lot more character and the little thing on the front a little image was so small I I don't know that I would use these and quite frankly for the cost of these I think I'll probably just stick to making my own dimensional cards I'm not going to go too much into these these little erasers were 3.99 I'll use one for when I'm making my calendar and I'll probably give the rest away to little kiddos I do not remember ordering this Garland or these Post-it notes but I'll have some fun with them now these beads do you see my hand do you see their hand once again when it comes with Teemu you really have to watch the descriptions and check for size options because when I saw the hand with all the beads in it I thought that's what I was getting and it defaulted to a size and my fault again which is why I will not order on my phone anymore it is too small for me to see if you don't have a problem with your eyesight you're not going to have any issue with that and I know the last time I did a review of things you guys commented so much scroll down scroll down I I I just keep forgetting to do that so when you look on your computer all of the information is right on the front screen as well as reviews as well as other images so for me I'm gonna stick to ordering online on my computer so that I can see things better but these were super disappointing and now not anything that I could use I was going to paint them and do different things with beading with them so that's a waste I am choosing to become a
