Kathleen reviewed Florence by Mills, a new skincare/makeup brand by Millie Bobbie Brown (Eleven from The Stranger Things)
Pros:
Cons:
Overall, she likes the aesthetics of the brand but is in the middle about the brand as a whole.
I think the eyeshadow palette is probably good for itโs intended purpose. This whole line seems to be geared toward tweens who are just starting out with makeup. A super neutral palette thatโs not too pigmented seems like the right thing for that demographic. I know when I was 13 I was a hot mess with makeup so itโs probably kinder to give them something thatโs hard to mess up, if that makes sense! But I do agree with her that there needs to be one for darker skin tones since itโs not pigmented enough to show up on anything but pale skin.
But overall it doesnโt surprise me that this brand got a mixed review.
I would have loved everything about this set if I was 13 when I started dappling in mascara and lipgloss. Iโm just so conflicted about the price. If I were a mom, I think I would have a hard time justifying this for a tween who is just starting to show interest in makeup. The price point is clearly banking on the relevance of Millie.
i donยดt like how she always cheats and uses products from other brands, i would prefer to see the finished look without any other brand being used.
I do like Kathleen a lot, but I am tired of seeing BGs reviewing products and product lines that are clearly not meant for them. This line is for teens and tweens to start a gentle skin care and makeup routine, not for people over 25 who are makeup and skin care connoisseurs. I also can't imagine that KL's audience has a large teen and tween following either. The purpose of product lines like this is to get teens and tweens on a good path with care and grooming, not to create some intricate eye look and get rid of undereye wrinkles.
I get Iโm not the target demo but who wants to buy a brand fronted by a kid?
I donโt know if itโs just another brand with a celeb kidโs name slapped onto it or she actually put an effort into creating something big It just seems like merch to me
