Tern HSD S+ Quick Look

hi i'm clay with electric avenue and today i'm going to be telling you about this turn hsd s plus this is a really great cargo bike lots of room on the rear rack here for carrying luggage or even passengers the riding feel of it it's well suited to a comfort oriented riding position but also it has some adjustability if you're looking for a more sporty ride either way a low step for easy access getting on and off so let's talk about some of the features the main feature that stands out on this bike is its automatic shifting via the on violo rear hub internal shifter there so how this shifting works is you set your cadence on the bosch and tuvia display here in rpm and the bike will try to keep you pedaling at that constant speed if you start pedaling faster the gear ratio will increase to make the bike faster um and inversely if you start pedaling slower the gear ratio will go down and it will intelligently sort of always be at the right gear ratio automatically when you start going up hills or when you gain speed or slow down really neat shifter and also you can switch it to the manual mode like so where it just acts like a eight speed manual shifter there either way lots of flexibility in this shifter really cool really advanced technology there also on the handlebars these are adjustable quickly via these two levers i can release to lean the handlebars more forward for a more lean forward and sporty riding position or more vertical for a more comfort oriented riding position we have hydraulic disc brakes front and rear and our bell there as well as our main headlight which can be turned on and off with that switch also the front stem is collapsible with that lever there to make the bike more compact for storage and for easily transporting it around fitting it in a car up front here we have our dual shock front suspension fork with adjustable knobs on top for making it firmer or softer again we have our hydraulic disc brakes these nice schwalbe tires moving on towards the middle of the bike here we have our gates carbon belt drive um it lasts forever it's maintenance free very smooth very quiet belt there which is propelled by the bosch performance line motor lots of torque and power for carrying heavier cargo loads does great on hills excellent motor from bosch everything is powered by our bosch 500 watt hour power pack battery here we also have our canes creek suspension seat post that makes a much smoother ride great for long distance as well absorbing all the impact integrated into the rear rack it's a really big rear rack and there's lots of different accessories you can put on for all of your cargo carrying needs even passenger seats and our rear we have our rear hub here where all the shifting is done and uh rear light of course and on the back these uh pegs here actually for standing up the bike the bike vertically so you can hold your brake and you can raise the bike vertically like so um for storing it even in a closet taking up less space indoors and up front here um we have this accessory this is the go-to bag mounted on the front there's lots of accessories available with these turn bikes and most of them are very easy to install and put on as well overall really nice higher end cargo bike the shifting is incredible it's you don't have to think about it when you ride it at all great bike by turn i'm clay with electric avenue and thank you for watching come check us out here in austin texas
