Tern HSD Range Overview

i'm andrew from form and design in the past i've made videos on the turn vectron and the turn gst i've ridden both of them to the highest mountain in australia and there are links on the screen now if you want to have a look at those videos but in this video i'm going to give you an overview of the turn hst it's the goalie locks of the turn e-bike [Music] range like the gsd the hsd is not a folding bike making a break from turns roots in building folding bikes and marking a difference from their first e-bike the vectron [Music] so what is it that makes the hsd so special the hsc has compact dimensions you can take them on public transport fairly easily they can be stored upright and you can put them in the back of a car the frame is quite strong and capable of carrying a gross mass of 170 kilos including the weight of the bike the bike weighs about 26 kilos so between the cargo and rider you've got 144 kilos to play with so that can be split between rider and passenger or rider and cargo there is a 60 kilo limit on the rear rack [Music] at the time of recording this video there are three variations of the hsd the p9 which uses the gen 3 bosch active line plus motor coupled with the shimano olivio 9 speed derailleur the s8 which uses the gen 3 bosch active line plus motor coupled with the shimano nexus 8 speed internal hub gearing which comes with the gates carbon belt and the s-plus which uses the gen 3 bosch performance line motor coupled with the enviolo automatic shifter and a gates carbon belt the s-plus is also supplied with a cane creek thudbuster st seat suspension common with all the models is front suspension [Music] trailer compatibility [Music] hydraulic disc brakes front and rear the bike can accommodate a wide range of rider heights from 145 centimeters to 195 centimeters they come with bosch walk assist to help getting the bike up ramps [Music] there is a frame and wheel lock which utilizes one key for both the lock and the battery front and rear lights and the multi-purpose cargo rack [Music] turn have designed a myriad of accessories to complement the hsd they're too numerous to list here but i'm going to show you some of the key accessories [Music] for carrying cargo there are several cargo racks that can be fitted to the front of the bike or to the pannier rack at the back [Music] the rear rack is easy fit compatible and yet child seats can be easily and quickly attached or removed from the rack there is the clubhouse mini that is a hybrid frame that can be used for transporting cargo [Music] or to provide a safe way of carrying children the clubhouse mini comes with seat pads to accommodate larger children you can also fit a yep child seat within the frame for added protection for young ones [Music] then there is the storm box and shield system which provides protection from the elements for young passengers in particular the stormbox mini can also be used in conjunction with the clubhouse mini to provide weather protection for your cargo for bigger passengers up to 60 kilograms you can attach either the captain's chair or the sidekick seat pad for both of these seat types there are also two auxiliary handlebar options turn also has a number of bag and basket options for the front or rear of the hsd [Music] and dog lovers are catered for too the soft crate mini is a detachable dog and cargo carrier that is used in conjunction with the clubhouse mini it's designed to carry a small to medium sized dog in safety and comfort the turn hsd is easily one of my favorite bikes it's more than robust enough for city riding and commuting and it's capable of riding on mild unsealed roads with its combination of strong frame wheels and tires [Music] so as you can see the turn hsd is an extremely versatile bike with all the cargo and carrying options you can customize this bike to your exact needs and if you're in our part of the world in sydney australia why not come down to our store and arrange a test ride if you want more information about the bike you can also give us a call or send us an email or write some comments in the comment section below now if you've liked this video it'd be great if you could hit the like subscribe and bell icons to be notified when we upload new videos my name's andrew and i'm from foreman design thank you for watching [Music] foreign
