hello guys welcome back to San VFX this time I'm not here with a new tutorial or rather I have I'm back with our old tutorial which I have recorded few years ago this tutorial is about modeling a temple in Maya it's kind of like for our beginners and some really good tips you can also find the tutorial on CG Tut since I'm really busy to record a new tutorial and here with up old tutorial so I hope you guys will enjoy so I will soon be recording a new tutorial tutorial so till then have a great time thank you yeah we'll go and create a spirit first so first of all we are going to create the top part so we'll just you will be using very basic techniques and slowly when you are at the end completing will be using few advanced tips I'll be using some advanced tips as well so for now let's just go to shot side view and delete half of the faces okay upset more now we are going to use our pipe and just again go to side view and then let's create it exactly the size of the sphere be great it's a little bigger I think so we can go to and change it size and thickness less radius little down there more down I think that's great okay let's do the same for this pipe as well delete the half of the faces delete and then you can just go to object mode go to edit mesh and then okay mesh fill hole okay so it will fill the hole so we don't need to fill the hole of the outer sphere and that's all right okay now let us duplicate this by pressing ctrl D and just rotate it 90 degree to y-axis okay that look good can now let us in all this modify center pivot and press the our key to change is kill and then just scale it a bit up and pull it up as well okay now let's go to top view and create a torus exactly the size of the sphere but not to take her scale it a bit Taurus or radius and decrease it yes suction radius should be decreased idiot should be increased okay that's great let's duplicate it to control the press table and then won't it let it up or and then scale it down to go to modify make I'm sorry go to modify make not live I do okay ah now we have got the top part we have to move that okay let's go ahead and create another sitting there in top viewport here that's great position it in proper place ship in all peoples with it's alright or not okay I think that's good if you want to increase the size of it give the skeleton pull some of the vertex okay that's good sorry cops it mode and then just so now okay now we're going to duplicate this and just make it go around this cylinder so for that first of all we are going to change the pivot point of this by pressing the insert key and moving the point and just snap to grid then place it to middle and then press P key to rotate control D to duplicate and rotate it so in this way it will just rotate round the cylinder but before that I think my cylinder is not positioned properly so snap the grids and just remove it okay I'll select the cylinder press E to rotate control D to duplicate and rotate okay this way you can make number of copies okay home much of Cup how many of copies you want you can stop mullet just pushin it using this technique okay that much is good for now okay now I'm going to duplicate this can control the press the up key and move it up just cut it bit up and down the y-axis and you can also just select all this for this cylinders edit mesh bevel and give nice lock and the same for this one as well G to do the same action again to point one and two this one as well g-hold 0.1 that's great okay now what I left okay the top part that for that we are going to use fear once again save this cylinder okay no that's not necessary okay and just create one sphere out here snap to grid position it in the middle and move the snap pull it up okay go to side view and delete half faces because we only need the half part and just position it that's good okay if you want you can scale it down or even scale it up as well create one more sphere to December this just a small one delete the half face snap it to grid sorry just press to boot and with the snap and good move it up okay even in the top view but again snap and tell snap to Center so in this way it's positioned properly okay now create one more cylinder very small side and very long I think that's too big so we are going to create kind of flat for the top part okay in top view the snap to grid and move it to the center the snap and pull it up hey that's great now all we can do is just decrease the subdivision to about 15 and then edit mesh insert a look at the half select the side is or you can even set it the face and then extrude just to create a fat like a flag okay that's great okay now continue with the model start building some more objects okay now we have to build a pillar but using a simple technique just create one cylinder to modify make life go to top to create another cylinder about this size can make this live one so don't be worried we'll adjust the heights leather arm okay but I think the height are pretty good to make not live I can also increase the heights it's great just duplicate this move it up this wrong as well so this technique is focusing for those who are just beginning the modeling but for the professionals it's nothing okay okay sorry and go to modify center pivot and scale it okay then let us group it and name it PIR pillar and if you go to windows outliner you can see a whole bunch of objects that you have created until now so later on you are going to have a lot of objects so it will be very messy so let us go ahead and keep on managing things from beginning so just let me group this control okay that's the single so just select this top part and then just group it naming it the topmost part that's good and then rest of it sorry okay that's all right top most and then let it out this press ctrl G to group it and rename it just name it top so up on the screen so just be sure to name it that and you know what that object it will when you're looking at the outliner okay just scale it down first of all let me test center to snap to grid to all the objects you and these two years now okay that's good I think okay okay now go to our kinder to set the pillar just and try to position it you will snap to grid so let us see back in argument it's a small one so we don't need to big scale it okay but before that we're going to cover this part by using a cylinder you can just to look at this one down and just kill it up Skelly two down it okay that's great can go back to our planets at the pillar and then just position it as you want see how it looks okay that's pretty cool and skeleton now as we did for this top part we just Center the pivot to Biddle I just rotate it duplicating it so but in this we're going to use almost the same but a bit different so press the Enter key and change the pivot point to Center by snapping to grids and then press the e key and if you some go to channel box editor you can see a rotation X Y Z value if you noticed through Y axis you can see the value are changing so now let us just duplicate it once control D and duplicate it and pushing it where you want so okay this you can see that valid change from zero to twenty eight point three three one so that value we are going to use to duplicate it can let me sew it by Sprint control J to time and then do you remember the value I think that was twenty eight point three three one okay go to edit duplicate special press the check box to go to it's option you can go to instance or copy in that doesn't matter in this case so in the press Enter key to change the pivot point snap to grid snap it to middle then you edit duplicate special I think's in valleys good okay that's good I'm going to duplicate this cylinder at the Town Car once again duplicate it okay so I think we are almost done by the topmost part okay now so we have got some more opposites oh yeah now we're going to create this part these are just the duplicate of this bar just scaled it down and just place it in four corners so that will be good to make a letter on so before that lets go to top view and then create a box off side about this but let us try to match Anna marks is equality Center to grid we can adjust height and width the okay that's good just position it she WK okay so if you want a little bigger you can just scale it anytime okay we're going to create one more box but this time with a smaller one snap to create okay I think we need to position it in proper place and move these two box and move it down now it's this bar we're going to create now that's just going to be duplicating of different objects so first of all go ahead and create a cylinder just you need to match the proportion so the final result would be look good so number of copies i don't think we need to out 1 2 3 4 5 & 6 will do duplicate spatial okay that's great but I think lack of slipspace that much as well okay set up all this top part control G group it and name it BER bar one scores side so it does not matter whatever you rename it so it's alright okay just duplicate one of this just position okay I think we need to add that to the group as well okay again group eight be a bar on the school square side and duplicate it and put it in the other side once again duplicate it and then modify Center people to rotate it 90 degree to y-axis go to top view and position it so it decide is not too long so we don't need all of these objects so we can just delete them by selecting oops they're all the same that's going to be problem okay no problem go to bar up six I think we did a mistake by duplicating it let's just undo it oh we've got some problems with our group in okay but no problem and I think always do that so what we can do do we have any ideas god okay get it this group and then select part one side okay now let's select this for okay no that's not good it's a great problem now okay there will just be duplicating some of these objects just try and set it top this one and then just duplicate it and modify center pivot and move it rotate it put the value to 90 degree can try to set up this small pillar liner so I think grouping we had just meshed up but that's all right no problem we can again go ahead and manager Singh later on so but grouping is that one of the important part when you are modeling this kind of complex scenes because that will be brilliant that will come really in handy so now we're just going to duplicate all these parts control-d cuz it's not too big so we are going to do it manually not to using the duplicate spatial and for this in part what we all do is just duplicate and try to put this one right here and then just delete this to go to vertex and just make it a little smaller okay that's all right now select all these parts okay and just control deduplicated another side just till at this one that looks good now just to placate this top out I put it in the four corners so what we'll do is select all this top part to select this then this one as well just group it top part t.o.p topless girl who clipped just duplicate it go to top view just kill it down it looks like in our perspective and in the side view motion it okay now just duplicate this and put it in the four corners one more time and the last time ctrl D okay that looks good here we can just label this aces edit mesh' below to 0.1 lord okay we are done with that topmost part now let's go ahead and create another box or you can Stu placate this one control T down it's not that big thing okay that's okay if not if it's okay ten middle so not a big deal okay now similarly we are going to duplicate it one more time so if you see that I have duplicated the objects most of the time just create a simple object and trying to get these options so go to edit mesh extrude pull it in G axes sorry G axis that's good okay now we're going to just duplicate this as well let me pushing it in proper way and Cody you can just check the value and the change and just put those values into duplicate spatial but let me just keep interpretating it it's not too big I won't take much time doing it manually so I'll just between this manually okay now select this full part duplicate it and then again in the back part setup this control sorry control the duplicate it okay okay now we're also done with that part as well now it's for the bottom part but before that let us just scale it this one down sick all day is for this edit mesh' bevel 0.2 that's all right now pretty much done for the top part so continuing with this down part it's okay I'm sorry the Select box then create another box right down here let's get it out okay just kill it bigger and bigger so the top post part was smaller now it's getting bigger and bigger okay so if you look at amis we have got this little out over there so let's create that that's not a big problem but first of all let me just proper they man is it much and it's too big just scale it down okay that's not good now just add two loops in the middle and then just extrude the faces sorry face only okay that's good yep god I think it's multi-column so just agree the size and then once again duplicate it let's scale it down that's good okay and now okay we'll create this small bar for this one as well but not this kind of complex just a simple one so for that first of all I'm going to create a long box just small size of this one this duplicate it so again duplicate it and rotate it 90 degree to y-axis then just reduce the vertex once again can duplicate it this side as well and then go to top view and create another box sorry just a little bigger one okay so with that okay here and just put it down just don't look it and put it to all the four colors I really did that later on okay so we have some more objects over there kind of small pillar or something so oops and this time again modify me Clive sits under top you draw a cylinder okay control-d and duplicate this one once again okay that's good without selecting anything go to modify make not live I think it's called-- okay that's alright now select all these three objects go to top view and duplicate it and put it into four corners Trudy to okay this way we did that one as well so this account is for modify center pivot and scale it up a bit I think I messed up with those this part out here no problem that certain problem of the position just let music all days and then pushing it down it's not oops I just forgot to select this box okay again duplicate that box J okay random most so just let this top part and getting a little more complex but not that too much these parts so we'll be continuing on the next part for this part bye bye
