Today, the jury heard more emotional testimony during Chad Day Bell's murder trial. He's accused of killing his wife of nearly 30 years and two of his current wife's Children. Let's bring in Abby Davis. Abby, four people testified. Is that right? Right. Andrea, including the sister of Chad's late wife, Tammy and her husband also took the stand. You were asked about the pet cemetery and whether or not you knew every pet buried in it. Do you recall that question? Yes, I do. And you indicated you knew of some pets that were buried around there, buried in Chad Del's Rexburg backyard. Samantha William who testified Friday is the sister of his late wife, Tammy. She says pet cemeteries were common in their family at some point. Did you learn of something or someone else that was buried in Chad's backyard? Yes. And what was that? Two Children, Samantha also cried while talking about Tammy. She died by asphyxiation in fall 2019. It was our joke that we would be old ladies together. I mean side by side. Samantha described a conversation with Chad a few months after Tammy's death. I asked him in a phone call please tell me about this woman that you've replaced my sister with. Chad, married Laurie Valo D Bell. Just weeks after Tammy died, he asserted to me in this very, you know, spiritual like tone that uh Samantha I am telling you now that when I was at the cemetery, Tammy showed herself to me and said that I should move on. And I responded with, when most women say that to their husband. It's in two years from now, not two weeks after I'm dead. When Samantha's husband, Jason took the stand. Jurors listened to a phone call between him, Chad and Laurie, that law enforcement recorded. Laurie's kids were missing at that point. It's a simple situation, but we just can't tell you because then you have to be involved. Yeah, I get it. That's fine. It's just a bunch of people that are starting trouble for no reason. It's separate from the Tammy situation. A former deputy coroner and FBI specialist also testified week six of the trial starts Monday and there has been some new information so far, but a lot of overlap from Laurie's trial last spring. And of course, Andrea, we know that she was convicted on all counts. That's right. Thank you very much, Abby. A full recap of the day is on our website kteb.com.
