I'm Bobby good said this is good sums all trying ain't none work the tagger gathered a few jobs done and we do it all saying Meads in the muddy water swooshes oak and where did the little bit harder got my 9 mana pulling to making - dollar it's good some shelter a good sound good news out well guys we've got another problem we just found out that they're supposed to turn the water loose I'll put the damn I think it's Jordan Lake okay fed the warbirds head up that way and an actually I had talked to Justin at church Sunday to find out what Dakota was that because usually way back in the woods and you never know how much water's coming down so I talked to Justin and of course and I know how much blame him he didn't want to have to come out here move anything I said suppose Dakota right he said it's right behind the loaders well we get out here Monday morning and the water is about two feet on the deck where the trucks are bent back in here and you know we're getting it and it's still coming up so we got to get the stuff out Sodor Lee takes the tiger cat and tries to get some itro down there to the cutter to get it out and I know y'all heard me talk about this issue before is the fact that you know when the water gets deep the trees don't stay still they're floating and I guess Turley tried to gets Mitchell down there and then the trees floated off and he gets stuck and his spirit gets on the cutter tries to come around him to pull them out but you can't see nothing because it's all water and all the trees are flood nothing is what it seems to be and then speech Oh get stuck off the side trying to get around early you know when I get here this is my wife she's never relentless yes ma'am [Music] this right here is it's probably one of the most expensive taxicabs you ever see we've got a about a $480,000 tractor shoveling men back and forth to get the rest equipment out of the flooded area so it's just another day in the life with swamp water [Music] so we after the big rain we had last week the rivers come up and we had we had to move out of the back and we set up another deck up here in front but the woods is wet but it's probably workable but the road truck Road is under water right now and you can't really pass it to pickup and especially can't pass it in a big truck right now so we're hoping it's starting to go down now it looks like some maybe you know by Monday we'll be able to do something [Music] my name's John Dean's I work for corporate timber company and the situation down now the water is dropping but it's still really high actually you got to Hurricane Floyd levels and everything is flooded down there the only thing you're looking at now just how deep the water is on the land some places over your heads and some places only a couple of inches deep but there's we just were very fortunate everybody got down here and was able to get all the equipment out Bobby's equipment was in real danger as high as the river got up and quit as quick as it got up it's it's a it's a real miracle they got everything out it took us a whole day just to walk all the equipment out here Sumitra walking to wanted to the loaders out you know out to the hill hopefully we can find somewhere to work with it once we get it out but it's just something that you know conventional crews don't have to deal with yeah that well risk is low now last two days is coming in skl and no clothes but uh now is is live in the water it for money as possible for working no we've actually got a picture of Durley after he got his tractor stuck you know this say something that I'm proud of by any stretch but it is a testament to what can happen you know when you least expect it you know but uh we end up getting it out and no harm done we did have to change the old one to gearboxes and and the engine but it's running fine after that I don't think we can't do we can't keep the tires on keeps breaking the tires off but we we found a heel and it's crazy code this is a high heel it's one of the higher heels that's in this area and you can see from the drones footage how the water like the stuff is set on a little island I mean the wars we were behind the loader and it's across some water trucks has got to come out but uh but I mean it's only a few inches deep out during the heel so we're able to work there for a few days well I'll wait for the ordered run down talking with John and one of his uh I don't know corporates got some guy that I think he works with uh ain't into forest service the wildlife were said that's what he does is trapped beavers and and and and and and I know something's wrong here because the waters not getting out as fast as it used to and they're out still searching there's beaver dam still I hate it we ain't found and it just what would normally take the water you know a couple of days to rise a couple of days to fall but now it's a couple days arise in a week to fall and it's really putting us in a bond because but there's not a lot of he lie here anymore left to cut everything that's left it's basically in the bottom and it's good wood I don't really want to move item from here and the grounds not that bad even when the waters on it but the waters too deep and the trees won't stay still so when the water gets deep you know you got to quit or if you don't you end up costing self a bunch of money by sinking a tractor so we don't want to do that but uh well we're going to find those beavers so one way or another [Music] [Music] by the following week Bobby and the guys were able to pull the equipment to the new deck the deck that Bobby and Justin have picked out was gonna higher ground so if there was an unexpected ring all the equipment would be safe but with soggy clay roads it was uncertain on how the trucks affair getting in and out of the woods [Music] yeah and and this this deck laser is mr. Salas make a ragout as its closest maybe this week no no matter Warner for is only working four days and my career Raghu and your sounds that road is ready and I got him you know let me go for maybe Laura multi-level I got it to trove now for this week is easy Nesby maybe make awareness it is we only working for four days the guys were able to get a good jump on production but with the long hauls all they needed now is drivers [Music] and with all the wood that's piling on the deck the company's not making money [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] more than thing this is Wayne they're come back to once again last week he was out of work because of the river got real high and we stayed out of work for a whole week you hold some roads for different ones yeah that guy's got to use of doing that time but uh I worked two days last week for someone and last two days I was also Monday we come over here just see the road pretty good so move the dead before the scene here right now not a whole lot of your account our money run well he's got some short haul so I guess in it all in the hall Delta nine so we're gonna do what we came here for the river go down hope we go back down with that good water that and make some good money so right now look what we can survive and uh we'll talk to you next time he's out earlier in the week Bobby had a major issue would one the skitters this particular scooter belonged to girly not only did it bust another rim but it lost a grapple and a grappling pin as well Britt Dale from Dale's fabrication located in Richland North Carolina is helping Bobby out with the prepare today today Britt brought his grandson along to assist him in the repair this isn't the first time Bobby had to prepare the rims on the skidder the rims of this particular skidder were never designed to take the stresses of this type of logging but Bobby thinks he's found the answer later on we're hear from Bobby have you already got a waiter back over there and somebody ran off with the excavator now I've got it up there good enough now the Justin can finish it [Laughter] you know as if we ain't got enough to worry about with the with the water rising and didn't having to spend a whole day of walking the track machines to another another place I mean don't get me wrong I'm thankful that we've got a hill that we can work off of it I had the lowboy everything down the highway because that's a whole nother can of worms with permits and all that stuff but uh once you get everything out you know and then the water recedes we got you know several days if not weeks of work getting the roads back in shape and plus darlie's tractor we've got a drain the gearbox the motor oil we're gonna wash it all out I mean we got to take all the little cooking extra loose and we grease them so they don't crowed up I mean sometimes it just don't seem like it's worth it but uh but it's what I do that's what I've always done and I don't know if I'd be happy doing anything else so we'll keep doing it as long as we can I won't bring the wire machine now again I'm a welder all right look I had to pick up tomorrow and we'll use your truck for air and still do that go please go I let my Trail Blazers in one of our machines and the violin coder I went to supply kit how do you run your why'd you run off up I can run everything off a trailblazer okay how do you still handle a gotcha so when I got down there close you want me to cut a hole in the floor it's true first row and reeks of where's oxygen tank was sitting down in my behind does a woman get butter truck that's why I went down there for to do that for who is this let's don't jump I'll put your stuff in the pickup I told myself I'm gonna need some air ain't no problem we got here on the way back home I get him 100 all I got the house and he was working on a gooseneck Trevor sitting there go ahead crate him crossmembers office I paid him and had put $40 worth of gas in the trip so I broke even that long and you know Morgan yeah well okay I keep the hill halfway happy look I gave you both bit of money it's not what I'm I'm not charging anyway I'm gonna charge you no no he had to call me office on the way back with your still okay he went over read it one time that way everyone's broke off one time starting on the second right good thing is in the woods was that remains between a hundred percent varied on their OS men not about wait it's like don't joke these trucks don't let anybody know me either so Kevin's got no hunt - what's that really that what is that shield on it my dad was going to look at you well you know cut up on us you know that's probably it he was bloating they got so hot imagine your little garden that is to say when I'm nice death trigger just caught me air pressure coming out of it biggest rock you put in them fire tat they would everything up dim porthole and the tolerance is so tight that once you use it it's almost a possibility there now but in the same token you know just trapped here it's the East Side here I mean we got tried to run with 30,000 hours on it and it's still tied into Frank and that's you know and you get it one of easel I've just seen have this place just paying the button we got to pick again yes right here I only had a bad day job done Morna got Warcraft driver I think I mentioned that before and Jeremy homely drive the e tracker which has got the dual zone we've had such a hard time keeping to do tires together I mean I think this would be the ninth time than the tire crook all border departs several months ago they finally come in a further heaven tomorrow actually to connect the time together picture saccharin but anyway I want to get different this grapple right here just not detract he was going to detract another very important work well there's a big old pn that's part of the day of we're trying to get that with something got it out yet but it's about a two and a half three inch pin that holds the rod into the cylinder Charlie said he's got full of wood coming out the woods and he heard the would fall I've heard of looks like around all these things is the wounded on the ground with a grappler all bound dr. Graf wallplate well come back to anything this side here this right here is Dean of the cylinder what happened that pen snapped off right here when it froze they have no support in that shoulders that constant pressure so they kept pushing and that we did this year we thank you mr. hull vehicle straightening that you did that here out about 45 degrees again the graph home major football this one's got about 18 almost 19,000 there's no sign of the cambium his work can hear you can't because she's got a note on one in and the ear fold on the other again please watch a movie but it's just something that happened - it was try to get the older dog they'll happen with this right no he jumped onto the e-track would you when the debt tracker guess what happened copyright fall again so the Brits get this big we got with the pie alleviate our problem here but I guess I'll see how tired or both together you see that remember out there Rambo's you see the outside deal was hold it right through that rift never designed to do that of course I'm a people's done in four years the your patters are sort of big and powerful right here grab it I don't know 20 tons of wood probably not more and all that weight you go over stuff on the house side tire all that weight is on the outside tire and the red this can't supporting it and there's the program there so snap that all power trap but what we're gonna do with the pipes the pipes all right she's gonna be boat it's right there to that Pleasant pattern this will stick out here 30 inches and standards of Dow psychology folded here is to be able to step high st. a the farmers done years ago so the pipe will take the stairs first is the Rams taking the stairs out that'll fix our problem but I got my main man rid Dale dance on helping me fix it thank God for people like that you know as if we ain't got enough to worry about you know Gary's going out and you just don't think it here of course the ground is so sandy but he pulls out on the highway and he just easy to decide the road to stop to check his traps and stuff to make sure it was tight in the shoulder actually caved in right in front of somebody's house and the truck Turtles over in the ditch turns over in the people's front yard and I'm thinking that's bad but it didn't hurt the truck thank God I didn't hurt the truck put one little slight dent in the little sleeper door thing but my my constellation was when he called me because he was Gary was he was pretty hysterical I can't get out I didn't know what my thought he's in a bad wreck I'm okay I just can't open the door you know so I get there and he's okay so I said well at least what had to the law and stuff won't be there because nobody lives down there anymore because it's all been flooded put the lady that lived in the little camper that he turned over in front of called 9-1-1 and said a truck had turned over on her house or something i don't know why she said but when I turned the corner on buckle road there were so many fire trucks and DMV cars I couldn't even get to the truck I had to walk a quarter mile to get to the truck but everybody's okay we want to try it right there loaded took the load of wood off the bar Gary's trailer put on Wayne's and flipped Gary back up he got his nerve back and we sent him back in the woods and got a load of woody go at the Georgetown so it's all good [Music] yeah [Applause] [Music] we're down mama chat asleep with production going strong and all of the Millers open Bobbie pauses a few minutes to talk to some representatives from forestry mutual and I heard there's a toilet paper shortage so hopefully people will embrace us yeah they pulled mark another be strong right now they ain't got there yet but I'm hoping it's when did you see the thing or what I saw it on they were talking about different states that had shut down and what was essential and non-essential and one of the forest products things the sawmills were non-essential pulp and paper mills were essential but loggers was non-essential in this specific state yeah where do they think they're gonna get okay try to make you try to make paper where they're in there fighting that in you know you seen it we actually really yeah I mean I think that's been strong the way that's good VLA bordered on the same thing we'll see the whole thing is I mean you don't want to comedy to completely stop and you can you got logging industry in North Carolina you know it's like a thirty two billion dollar industry we're just a very small part of it like it starts from us I would to say something mom this we got the new trucks we got a new camera system on it samsara and before we had a cheaper brand and that's just what we got a cheaper brand when monkey had his accident we try to get footage off of the camera and we don't know what was wrong on the SIM cards bad the battery was dead but anyway it didn't work when we needed to work so we wouldn't hand got a lot better system that actually downloads it to the cloud so the images aren't lost but it's something that I felt like we needed to do and I feel real secure with the new system because we got to protect ourselves I mean truck and in the environment we in right now trucking is is a liability for us I mean it's just we can't plan enough trucks we having to hold a wood twice the spoil we've ever had to haul it in there's just no contractors out there I mean although everybody's going other places I what's really happening to them and I want to talk to also about the coronavirus of course it's rampant in the United States and its worldwide epidemic but you know it was affecting us long before the disease actually hit mainland United States because we have several I think extra wood exports and I know North Carolina is one of the biggest exports we have and we've got several ports here that we've been selling logs to China last bigger I heard that and it may be changed now it's you know this has been a few weeks ago there were 600 ships loaded with pine logs that left the Wilmington for and they're in between here and China because nobody in China to unload the trucks we was affected by this long before never got here but it shows you what everybody can see now what's happening I mean if it did close they're closing down all the big cities you know you've got to stay away from people it's really as crazy I've never thought I've seen anything like this in my lifetime by God but it is a virus and it's easy to contain the best thing to do is keep your hands wash to keep your distance and don't do stupid things don't go into big crowded areas because that's how it gets spread that's why the big cities are hit so hard because they got the the transit system the subways and all that stuff and you got moons of people that write that stuff every day and they've already proven that this virus can can live I don't know two or three days on stainless steel so how many people is going to get it on and off the subway bus in two or three days in New York City but we got to be careful but right now we're trying to get it past that logging is a necessity and it is I mean like we've heard in one state that they got paper products is a necessity flocking is not well you can't make paper without logging I mean the mills has got a surplus of wood on the yard but it used this only for a few weeks you know so we're trying to keep it going because the North Carolina is a thirty two billion dollar industries I mean a lot of the all the the restaurants you know that touch stuff is gone we need to keep the would support for second largest entry in North Carolina open and that's that's wouldn't not the log it's that big but everything that goes with it the lumber the furniture all that stuff and I'll provide a thirteen billion dollars a year in North Carolina so we want to keep that open and you know and really to be honest with you out here in the woods were isolated you know even though there's six or seven of us out here but everybody's on different pieces to quit but they've run your own tractor every day and it's not like we're hugging and kissing each other but uh so all I say is you know be smart common sense that's the name be game we could whip this thing and get life back to normal [Applause] well guys that's the end of our video I'm gonna thank you all for watching it let's pray for the people that's sick and let's just use common sense and y'all would hit that that like button send us your comments and please subscribe you you
