Super Smash Bros Ultimate Castlevania Chain Whip Test!

[Music] hey Brian here and I'm here with a very special video ah this is being done in honor of the release of super smash bros ultimate including Simon Belmont and I believe Richter Belmont if you all are into the Castlevania series you'd know these characters that showed up in Castlevania back in the day sorry my cosplay is horrible here just wearing what I've got to look as close to son in Belmont whatever I've got I've got a actual chain whip or a really long flail with a spiked ball on it it was given to me by a good friend Scott Harrington he showed up at fighter practice my local fighter practices you know start coming out regularly and he's a big fan of a Castlevania series and he's very excited about Super Smash Brothers or special Super Smash Bros ultimate including Simon Belmont and possibly with your Delmont looks like that's what it shows in the trailer I need you all know about the chain whip I'll give a short history of it you start off with a whip in the games when you're hunting vampires and they're creatures in bestiary in the game the whip is upgraded later by a chain whip which doesn't have the spiked ball in there's some people say a morning's morning's or style ball which actually were all maces and malls and stuff medieval it we do see pictures of flails much shorter than this possibly one-handed but only depictions were very rarely find any attacked in history as for long chains used on something like this the kusarigama and that's why I think he thought I'd be perfect for doing the video I have worked with whips as a whip I've made here that's badly deteriorated if you look at it I need to make another one badly I really would I mean it's a lot of work I might even buy one or somebody ever wants to send one to the channel and what the test out should work if you make nice kangaroo or latigo whips like bull whips I love working but he starts off with a whip and it's upgraded to a chain whip without the ball and then it becomes an upgraded weapon when you put the balls on it yet he still uses it like a whip and yes in my video with kusarigama I was able to whip the Kesari gawah weight and crack a cinder block this smack it in shatter a cinder block so yes the whipping action has some power it's not as much as spinning it and getting near the target and then letting it hit the target so one of the ways this could be used to if you were actually gonna use this as a weapon like he does in the game is not choking up on the chain but you could choke up over you wanted to is spinning it around and around and around and yes you could entangle your opponent if they rush in they don't get hit by the ball and while they're getting entangle they might get get thought about if not as much force but they entangle you see them use it that way in the game so that's one of the ways the Kesari gamma is used or can be skillfully done that way to actually yank legs out from under your opponent and drop them and stuff like that the problems with these kind of weapons historically is why they're very exotic and very rare it's dangerous to the wheel because can bounce back just like the kusarigama and most weighted chain weapons that you see used in Japan we know they were used in Japan so I mean with some skill they they are pretty good in single combat if used correctly and they're also good in certain situations trying to keep more than one opponent back when you're by yourself but in armies know something like this with a long chain you would not want this it gets tangled on things in the field I causes all kinds of problems a matter of fact when I was rehearsing with it which I will be wearing a helmet today I actually got hit in my head right here and got a small spike stuck in the side of my head when it bounced off of a tree when I was trying to retrieve it and that wasn't eating me casting it out but once the ball stops you pretty much need something to back up and what I will explain here is like which kusarigama you end up using the chain to parry with and this you have no weapon here so it's not a Kesari gamma it doesn't have a sickle blade or a blade here so in assessment once you've gotten to this point you're going to be grappling and using it being a white girl so I mean that's pretty much all you could do I actually demonstrate how the chain can be used to disarm people and so on in my office I got my video if you want to check that one out check that video out also a lot of people notice this is not the crucifix the crucifix I think is the most upgraded version in the game and it looks like a crucifix with a chain comes in and out of the actual mechanism in fact my good friend Metatron a while back on a Halloween special this Halloween Castlevania special covered what he thought about it the crucifix but today we're looking at as a physical manner Scotland one of the see me test it as a chain whip on one of my analog bullet shell heads and see what it'll do zombie go boom has done some meteor hammers and stuff but is it more like a whip instead of more like a chinese-style meteor hammer or something so actually when it's all over we'll see what happens and hopefully we did we find out something more about this as a weapon historical okay like I said I'm protecting the most important part of my body at least I hope so I can comment from Katie she's I she's laughing her with it but a lot of times still have the chain in so he can use the ball in other ways up close like a player which we could test that but I think the most intriguing thing just as Scott does is using it as a whip itself with the heavy weight will it work I think I'll start off with a straight overhead roll like if you were going to throw the whip from behind you help to crack it and see what happens in the ball hits the skull if it does enough damage to kill our vampire or our beast our skeleton or something or Lynch shot but anyway whatever the different the mobs are in the game we'll see what happens my favorite the help like I said you don't want this thing tangling skull because I didn't have that much force behind it but yeah there's an actual hole here into the skull so let's try more force and see what happened I at least have a concussion yeah every weapons the same more you practice and train with it the better you can't have somebody who trained like the characters and the thing probably could do better than you can because that's a regular whipping foot very true version and they might be just trying to this is are not money shot right here had to change the method little bit from whipping it as much as trying to give it a little more of a swing well we got a hole all the way into the head and that is definitely there on a person yes they would be down on a vampire I'm not so sure we might have to hit it again a few times you have to give it a little more of a swing than a practice swing but you can't break back you know I have never seen a jaw shattered like this before that is a lot of force and this just to get a spike all the way into the head wearing stick my finger in it and crack that much out that's amazing so yes it's doing a good job for the Regents day yeah it's very much like a kusarigama but using like a whip it's not really that bad it's also quite scary your friends would come back [Applause] we're trying to get another bunny shot to get it dead on where it absorbs all the I don't write after a close look at it that second hit that didn't look like it did much more to the home as a be studying right here that's not attacking me I think he's after our sweet fake blood I'll look at the crack to the skull it came around father so I think a few more hits this vampire is going to be a dead one I think they just wants to be your friend I know but we need him to leave so he didn't get hurt don't want to kill a be in process love leaking out that was a good let's check it out there's blood everywhere I just doing some damage so if it's swung correctly it's a straight up with trying to pop it like a whip there's too much just going forward trying to snap it give it a little bit of oomph little way around and give it a little swing with brains are leaking out in front of this hip now oh yeah look at that crack that is it is doing some damage so if it's swung correctly the two straight out whip if you try to pop it like a whip there's too much just going forward and trying to snap it no but if you give it a little bit of oomph on the way around and give it a little swing so you're still getting the full reach but a little more of an arc that's the kind of damage in us so yeah the chain will definitely work at that length I think that was impressive it's not bad probably be even better somebody who's used to using them yeah I might even try a couple more hits just for fun [Applause] I'm getting better with that let's go with Old Faithful right to left get better in a minute the more you go just cut into his throat chain oh gosh let's get a good look at this before we finish it off we have the chain cutting through the throat so that would definitely cause some serious injury there whether it got an artery or not the jaw is totally shattered we have the brain yeah you can see completely inside the head at this point those hits are definitely kill all of them look at this one here where I came back from the other way oh and the original one yes is into the skull deep enough to pierce it but it wasn't as devastating because I was throwing it straight out those slightly more arcing to it and moving with it gives you a lot of power that reach feels but empowering once you get better at hitting with it it actually makes you feel once you get used to it makes you feel empowered reaching out that far and still being able to hit [Applause] I don't think he gonna do much more damage to him than that I know he's dead he's dead [Applause] [Applause] can see and at a very unusual decap here what we did is cut through the throat by repetitively wrapping it in the same spot and yanking it like a chainsaw blade or something just tearing through the flesh so yeah if it didn't go all the way the bone on a human I think it would severely ruin your day crush your throat damage arteries yeah all of you got caved down inside it wouldn't just be blood and cows gone do you think this is a vampire kill caddy what Simon they'll not be proud I have no idea let's leave vampires I mean to be don't have a feeling the character in the game but I did have fun with it I do know how to use a kisara gamma to a degree and it's very similar in a lot of ways a lot of fun I just didn't want to cheat guys and go up there and you know swing it at a really sharp range like most people would do with the ball hope it didn't hit me I wanted to go all out hit it from a distance and see how much damage I could do and I think characters are in it if you thought that I did justice to the chain whip with the spiked ball on it looks like this chain whip we got here from Scott Harrington performed extremely well now damage to it excellent women in the play tiny poles better than the flail that you lose his balls all the time but anyway I hope you all watch Jenny I got tired of judging your own flail yeah but anyway I think that's the best D cap we're going to get and this is the best skull destruction you're gonna see with a weapon like this at that range but anyway as always I hope you enjoyed our episode and barbell I legit like this video. The people who made it are definitely deadliest warrior fans! I would see more of these certainly.
