SUPER 73 R SERIES REVIEW | broke in ONE day

we're just riding on level ground and it died so while we were riding down the hill leon said that the motor turned off yeah you could feel it that joel yeah yeah now it won't turn the bike back on the battery doesn't feel that hot all righty hi guys welcome to my videos i don't know whatever uh as you can see this was gonna start out as a vlog but uh it didn't work out to be because it was gonna be about the super 73 and this new lens i got my new surfboard but it was a really hot day so we decided to ride our bikes um but we were riding around my girlfriend and i she was riding on the back of my new super 73 we're just riding on level ground and it died they say there's a controller issue which is kind of what controls uh how much electricity goes to the mall of the motor when you're doing pedal assist or when you're doing throttle but anyways i was riding about 20 miles an hour just stopped going and then i reached out to them i was like hey i just got my bike yesterday my bike doesn't seem to be working i've recharged the battery turn it off turn it back on then anything that you'd normally do when like something electronic stops working and they're like okay it sounds like it's a controller issue and i was like okay what are we gonna do and they're like well since you're kind of local you're gonna have to bring the bike in i was like well that sucks because i just paid for it to be shipped to my house and uh honestly didn't really want to drive 45 minutes one way so an hour and a half at least round trip to drop off a bike i'd just gotten i feel like that's a waste of my time and my money and my gas also the bike barely fit in my car and i had to disassemble it in contact with them they said that they will hopefully be able to reprogram the computer which apparently died could have been a software bug they said but if it's not i'm gonna have to wait multiple weeks because they don't have the parts that they need to fix it i was told that this has been happening to other people's bikes this exact issue and then when i got to the warehouse in uh irvine there i was speaking to another person and he asked if it was a motor issue and i said i don't think it is a motorist and i was like why is that happening a lot he's like he's like yeah especially to the gen 1 and gen 2 motors and like gen 1 and gen 2 motors this is a brand new bike and he's like yeah we're already on gen 3. uh some of the motors have been breaking and i'm like oh okay he's like yeah you probably have a gen 2 you'll be all right but if it does break you'll just have to bring it back in and i'm thinking to myself i'm like they're selling these bikes knowing that they have these issues and they're shipping them with these issues yeah and this is the rx i'm talking about the r series which has the same powertrain as the rx the r and the s2 um yeah so i can't personally recommend buying a super 73 bike just spent three grand on something that doesn't even work properly i didn't even put 10 miles on that bike which really sucks and then i had to push it home uh weighs like 80 pounds so pushing a bike that weighs 80 pounds um it also creates a little bit of drag the electric motor when you're pushing it so it's not like pushing a normal bicycle so that sucked it was like 90 degrees out so i wasn't stoked yeah so i don't recommend you get a super 73 that's just my honest opinion from someone that has gotten the super 73 rx it is really fun to ride when it is working three grand or more now is not worth it's not worth half of a day of fun so um i do have a friend that also ordered one with me and he got it a couple days before he says he has about 60 or something miles on his nothing's gone wrong with that he said the motor makes weird noises every once in a while but he says he it might just be uh him riding and like road noise or something but i've i've written his more than like five minutes so i don't know um but yeah mine mine broke so i'll keep you guys updated
