god for corporate worship we want to thank you o god because when we look and see lord god almighty oh that is happening in this world oh god we are still oh god almighty have the privilege to come together of god to worship your god nothing will hinder us mighty god even though we are masterful god almighty we want to worship your god we want to worship you mighty god of daniel and so god almighty we are inviting your presence oh god we are inviting your presence to take up precedence oh god we are inviting your presence to have an unsweet divine way lord god almighty because we are people we come here mighty god of daniel lifting up your holy name we worship the true and living god we worship the maker of the universe we worship your god almighty and as your word said oh god whenever we fail to worship you almighty god you will command the very stinks and stones the mountains of god almighty to bow down and worship your god lord jesus you said let everything that has breath praise your holy name and god almighty we are standing on top of our graves this morning oh god and so we are worshiping you oh god we are lifting up your holy name king jesus holy fire of god fall down consume us almighty god consume us with the fire of your spirit consume us of god almighty and make us more like you oh god because it's not about us it's all about you lord jesus it's all about your god jesus we bind up every lukewarm spirit in the name of jesus and we say let the fire of god lord god even right now burn out burn out burn up burn out everything that is not of you o god know you have your bible hallelujah hallelujah and so i asked you to take your bibles with me and turn to the book of genesis chapter 39 that's genesis chapter 39 and we will be reading from the verse 1 through to 23 and while you turn those bible pages let me just greet the holy spirit that is so evident in our midst this morning he's the head of my life and i continue to just worship him and bless his name because he's good to me it's not the good that i have done but because of his grace and his mercies hallelujah let me greet also the segment of this house bishop dr delford davis minister dr petrova davis's lovely wife all the officers members visitors friends i greet you in no other name for the name of jesus if you found it let me hear you shout hallelujah wonderful that's genesis chapter 39 from the verse 1 through to 23 and we read and joseph was brought down to egypt and potiphar an officer of pharaoh captain of the guard an egyptian bought him of the hands of the ishmaelites which had brought him down theatre and the lord was with joseph and he was a prosperous man and he was in the house of his master the egyptian and his master saw that the lord was with him and that the lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand and joseph found grace in his sight and he served him and he made him overseer over his house and all that he had he put in his hand and it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house and over all that he had that the lord blessed the egyptians house for joseph's sake and the blessing of the lord was upon all that he had in the house and in the field and he left all that he had in joseph's hand and he knew not ought he had saved the bread which he did eat and joseph was a goodly person and well favored and it came to pass after these things that his master's wife cast their eyes upon joseph and said lie with me and he refused and said unto his master's wife behold my master what is not that is with me in the house and he has committed all that he has to my hand there is none greater in this house than i neither has he kept back anything from me but thee because thou art his wife how then can i do this great wickedness and sin against god and it came to pass and sorry and it came to pass as she spoke to joseph day by day that he argued not unto her to lie by her nor to be with her and it came to pass about this time that joseph went into the house to do his business and there was none of the men of the house there within and she caught him by his garment saying lie with me and he left his garment in her hand and fled and got him out and it came to pass when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and was fled forth that she called on to the men of her house and spake unto them saying see he has brought me brought in an hebrew unto us to mock us he came in unto me to lie with me and i cried with a loud voice and it came to pass when he heard that i lift up my voice and cried that he left his garment with me and fled and got him out and she laid up his garment by her until his lord came home and she spake unto him according to these words saying the hebrew servant which thou has brought unto us came in unto me to mock me and it came to pass as i lifted up my voice and cried that he left his garment with me and fled out and it came to pass when his master heard the words of his wife which she spake unto him saying after this manner did thy servant to me that this his wrath was kindled and joseph's master took him and put him into the prison a place where the king's prisoners were bound and he was there in the prison but the lord was with joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison and the keeper of the prison committed to joseph's hand or the prisoners that were in the prison and whatsoever they did he was the doer of the 23rd and final the keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand because the lord was with him and that which he did the lord made it to prosper the lord made it to prosper oh the lord has spoken let the church say the lord has spoken let the church say amen first resumption in the first week of august right we're resuming all of the sunday nights wednesday nights and friday night services so all night services our when sunday wednesday and friday night services will be resumed in the month of august men women youth and marriage enrichment ministry they also will resume the first wednesday's fasting we had one last month we're looking for even a bigger and a greater one for the month of august praise god so our first wednesday fasting has also resumed in full flight praise god we ask you to be here our weekly wednesday fasting is also in place and a time of refreshing is on every monday tuesday thursday and friday between the hour of one to two p.m praise god first sunday night service will not be resumed until further notice so the this morning hallelujah i'm just going to ask us to stand as we pray this morning father we honor you we honor you lord god because truly this is not by might nor by power or this is not by man's intellect but god these are your people everyone's standing watching wherever they are god they are your people and so god right now i just pray father that you will hide me behind the cross because god my life is nothing save you and so lord god whatever i will open my mouth to speak i pray master that it will be coming from the throne room of heaven i pray god that your people will not see me in any way but o god that they will hear a word from you for such a time as this i pray god that you will minister to every heart minister to those who are not saved minister to those who are saved i pray god that today many will come to know you because they hear your word father be with us right now as you have been with us all morning and we will be careful god to give you praise and honor in jesus name and let the church say amen amen praise god he may be seated this morning our text was already read and it by our moderator and it was read from genesis chapter 39 but i won't go through to read the entire thing but i'll use the passage as we go along and but i'll just read a few verse maybe four verses from verse two it says and the lord was with joseph and he was prosperous man and he was in the house of his master the egyptian and his master saw that the lord was with him and that the lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand and jose found grace in his side and he served him and he made him overseer over his house and all that he had he put it in his hand this morning i want to talk to us from a theme and the theme is god will honor his words concerning you i repeat it god will honor his words concerning you this morning when i look at this passage of scripture a very familiar passage maybe if i ask anyone no matter the age group this morning they can tell you the story of joseph but while i was seeking the lord for a word i believe that i have a word for the church this morning and hence the topic this morning god will honor his words concerning you brothers and sisters friends when you read about joseph in genesis you know you find a man a young man at about 17 he had a dream and he had a dream that we all know that one day he will become that person that even his very family will have to bow down and pay him homage at 17 but the bible would have us to note that joseph brother hated him for his dream and because of his dream he end up to be sold into slavery but i'm here to tell somebody that god will honor his word concerning you i don't know who i'm talking to this morning you might have had many dreams but i'm here to tell you that god will honor his word concerning you you know joseph his brother sold him into slavery once the brother wanted to kill him but no matter what the enemy tried about us or concerning us the enemy can never kill us when god has a word on your life and i'm here to tell every born again believer that you might not have heard that audible word from god you might not have heard the audible word from god concerning your life but there is a word from god upon your life you know you might not have heard the audible word but if you turn to the word of god and you're a born-again believer i believe the word of god is saying to you i worship of all things that you prosper but i wish more that if you prosper as your soul prospered so i believe every child of god have a word from god and i'm here to tell you that that word that god has placed upon your life he's about to honor it the bible said that joseph was sold into slavery one of his brother benjamin begged them not to kill him and he was put in a pit and he was sold into slavery but i'm here also to tell you that i believe when you read the life of joseph i believe he had a good heart because he never i believe from the moment he was sold into slavery and you will see it as we go along from that moment he forgave his brothers but the bible says that the lord was with joseph and i'm here to tell you the lord was with him not because of any special favor but the lord was with joseph because i believe joseph attitude was right and you know for some of us for some of us the moment the enemy come up against us we begin to become fearful and we begin to see all manner of things and we begin to wonder if god is still for us because you see sometimes when the enemy divides the enemy comings like a flood when the enemy comes in like a flood that word that god has placed in your spirit if you are not careful that word will come into us like it is none and void let god never know what he was saying to us think about it joseph was never born into royalty but i believe that joseph understood what it meant when he had that dream that even his very family will pay homage to him that means in joseph's heart he would have to understand that in life he will be elevated to a very prominent position in life but right now in joseph's life is heading into slavery how comes he is heading into slavery and god promised him that dream that he dreamed but the bible says that when he was sold into slavery he did what he had to do diligently he never murmured and because he did what he had to do diligently he found favor in his master's eyes and because he found favor in his master's eyes his master also recognized that god was with him and as i said to you it was not a favor that god was doing him you see what god requires of us is in whatever circumstances we find ourselves we need to make sure that it is giving glory to god and that was what joseph was doing he was taking his life and giving glory to god now will god give you a word you know i know it carefully and you might have heard me said it before the world if you are not careful they are forcing upon us as christians an instant way of life but i'm here to tell you that when you read the life of joseph you will recognize that with god time is not a factor but every day you get up you hear people telling you come sow and watch god bless you now come do this and watch god bless you now but i'm saying to us that if god has spoken a word over your life or my life there is absolutely nothing you and i can do to hasten that word but there is something that you and i need to do we need to prove ourselves before god that we are not just relying upon the word that god spoke over our lives but we are serving god because we have drawn the line and we have no desire of turning back whether that word come true now or tomorrow we are going to serve god because we know that any word that god speak over our life it must come to pass but we are also going to be careful that that word that god has spoken over our life do not take us by surprise because you see joseph worked well and you know going on in the story we recognize that he was placed at the head but joseph recognized that was not the dream he recognized that that was not the fulfillment of the dream you know sometimes some of us reach some place in life and we wander and we ponder and we say that god ain't doing anything more for me so we sucker for where we are but i'm saying to us this morning that's not the dream that god gave you it might feel good but you're still in bondage you might be the head like joseph but you're still in bondage what god has for you it's a free life at the top when your enemy got to know that god is the one who blessed you at the top so keep on working for god and let god be able to say to you that i am with you even in slavery hallelujah you know if you're not careful you're in a job and the job you are in the boss might be treating you unfairly listen to me carefully he might be the work of the enemy but you have a responsibility even to that wicked landlord you have a responsibility you and i have a responsibility to let god be seen in us do not give him to the wicked boss he might be a slave driver but don't give in even the word that god said when they force you to go one mile he says you should go ahead and go to mine you know why because you are showing him that is not because of him or her why you are doing what you're doing but you're doing what you're doing because you have a father up above and your life desire is to please him so you're gonna accept this small pain right now but there's a word on your life is that amen hallelujah there's a word on your life you know the story well there comes a point when joseph after many begging and pleading and he refusing the enemy said well i will grab him you see the enemy the enemy will not give up because you say no the enemy will not give up because you and i refuse because the enemy is not so much after us but the enemy is after the god that we serve the enemy is out to prove to the to god that we are not serving him because of love think about we can think about so many in the word of god look at job look at job he was not serving god because of what god gave him you know sometime i i think about it this week and i said you know sometimes we said god give job double for his trouble but i don't believe it is so much for his trouble but i believe and i will submit to us today that god give job double because of his integrity in god not so much for his trouble this is sometimes we want to be repaired for trouble but what we need to understand god will give us double because our integrity in him is impeccable you know carefully a whole lot of people in the bible they when they stand up they stand up because of god and so his the potiphar's wife keep going at him but i want you to note something carefully when in verse 14 a vortex the word of god says and that she called unto the men of the house and spake unto them saying see he had brought in a hebrew unto us to mock us he no longer has a name but he now has a nationality you know when the enemy is out to destroy you even your very name he will destroy she no longer says joseph but she found out his nationality and not carefully at the time when she attacked him none of the men was in the house but joseph went in as at other times to do his work but all of a sudden she convinced the men who would be in the house that it is about us you know when the enemy is about to set you up he's not about to set up you alone but his intention is to set up the kingdom of god and that is why it is important for all of us in the kingdom to stand our ground because when the enemy comes in like a flood he is coming in at the children of god and is about to destroy the children of god so she says he come in unto me to mock us and look not carefully going on in the verse he says he came in unto us to lie with me and i cried with a loud voice be careful of the enemy because his desire is to mock the church his desire is to let that word that god has given to you not come to pass and do not allow him to convince you that it's taking too long i believe look at what happened when the children of israel came out of bondage had they been obedient to god it would never have taken them 40 years in the desert but because of disobedience because of wanting to be like the other nations that were around them they become very com they begin to complain and they begin to murmur you see god do not like complainers and murmurs and let me say to us once you're destined for greatness by god you are going to face trials there is no one in the bible think about it even jesus he was destined to save the world but look at what he went through look at what he went through the god who created the world he is teaching us a lesson and is letting us to understand that not because you're going through some things not because you're going through difficulties it doesn't mean that that word god has forgotten you or god has forgotten the word over your life because i bear in mind that jesus came to save the world and they attempted so many times to kill him but guess what the word that was spoken is that the world must be saved through him and he keep on doing what he needs to do yes he went through criticism they call him wine people they call him all kind of things but one thing for sure he makes sure that his life was right sometimes we will slip up sometimes we will go down the wrong path but let us draw the line today because the word that god has spoken over our life will come to pass and when you continue looking at the life of joseph you know he went to prison because of what was said about him not because of what he did but you ever wonder there is no record in the bible that joseph ever complained he never complained once i read when he went to prison he says he was there wrongfully but guess what he worked he did what he know to do and that was to glorify god with his life and i believe that evening prison joseph tell himself and remind himself of the dream many times but yet he was in prison he was promoted to the highest rank in the prison taking care the other guards had to do nothing you see when god is on your life people will honor you you will find honor in some funny places joseph found honor amongst the prisoners in jamaica we would say he found respect they respected joseph i believe joseph might have sit many times and tell them his story because they had nothing to do he tell them when somebody tell you how did you get here and joseph told them how we get there but i know carefully god shows up again and if you notice even in prison the word of god keeps saying joseph find favor in the sight of god not any special favor but joseph held on to the integrity of what he was thought about his god and he tells himself everything i do i don't matter i am going to let my life glorify god note carefully even when time comes for those to have their dream joseph interpret the dreams and they come to pass but there comes a time when somebody forget about him he came out exactly as the man of god tell him it was going to happen and you know the story he came out but joseph was forgotten but god never forgets you not carefully what god did he caused the king to have a dream and the king's dream was urgent because he was about to put everybody to death if they did not tell him about what he dreamed because he know it was a troubling dream take somebody and tell him god has a man god has a woman who have been working and he has promised you some promotion it's about to happen hold your integrity and you know joseph you know this story i don't have to go through it this morning joseph interpret the king dream but not carefully joseph when he interpret the king dream he was never thinking about promotion because joseph said to the king find you a man who can do all that i tell you because the famine is coming and god i believe that just drop it in the king's heart who else is worthy of such an honor because the god the king must be saying the god you serve must be the one that gives you the interpretation so he's going to give you the wisdom to carry out these 14 years for itself plenty and several famine he was not you see when god tell you something you don't have to push your way into your blessing don't force your way into your blessing it must come to pass because when god opened the door you're going to walk right into it and you know the story i won't go to him because of time but note carefully joseph no entered in his dream the king said you are the person and he began to clothe him and do all things to him and the king had a chariot that he nev no one riding because no one was yet found to be able to sit in that chariot and ride with the king but the prisoner joseph the dreamer joseph time have come and it doesn't matter i thought if a wife could stop it you know so when i think about this message i think of our own bishop dr delphi davis you know when you listen to the man of god testimony when you listen he says he ride from kingston to saint thomas on a bike i believe many times he's going over rain falling but he's going to deliver some people might be thinking and saying this man is stupid he could have done much better with his life think about the many ridicules he has been through but he never give up he never knew that he would be placed in this place but he know that god has spoken a word over his life he knows that god showed him people god never showed him a church but he showed him people and i tell you because of his faithfulness because through the hard time when you listen so many things were said about him so many bad things have been spoken about him so many envy has risen up against him but i guarantee you today that no man or woman can stand up and say i am the founder of the power of a ministry but i know bishop dr delphi davis can stand up on his feet and say i am the founder of the power of faith ministry because i have committed my life to god and god has fulfilled his word upon my life we have it right here to prove that god will never forget his word concerning you and so it was no accident when joseph was promoted i told you before i believe joseph has forgiven his brothers long ago you know how i know that because the first time his brothers appeared to him the bible says he went in a corner and he wept you know what was his weeping i don't believe he was weeping because of hate but i believe joseph wept because he must be saying to himself look at the road that god has brought me through and god's word has been fulfilled because when joseph brought us walking because of who he was in the kingdom they bow before him not even knowing who he was you see when god shows up for you your enemy were walking maybe to an interview and they don't even know it's the same you that they have been killing with words they have been saying all manner of things but when they walk in your presence because of the anointing of god they don't even recognize joseph but joseph recognized them you see how god is good when joseph when they walked in the bible said joseph went aside and weep but not carefully the second time when they're walking joseph has an urge in him and that urge was to hug them but he didn't know how to tell them but he had to be careful because there was a king above him and the king didn't like his faults you see sometimes even when you're promoted the person who promotes you don't like those that come with you but they have to accept them so don't worry about them because it's god that promoted they have to accept who come with you so god give joseph wisdom and that wisdom worked he put out everybody but he said leave them with me and i believe as the door was shut he jumped on them and hugged them and he tell them who he was you know he said to them you meant it for evil but god meant it for good so from the moment you know why because all of joel's joseph life journey he's saying to himself like many of us i should have been dead you don't know what was over my head when i went when the participant's wife said that i do what i do my head could be taken off if you don't believe it check what happened to the baker the bible never said what the baker did but the baker's head was lifted how much more should joseph head with a crime like that be lifted but god has a word on joseph life i don't know who is the joseph today but i'm telling you you might be on the backside of the desert you might feel that you have to begin to sow a seed for that word to come true i say to you those seeds that you have been sowing not going to bring that word to pass but a life will live for god is gonna bring that word to pass stop let people rob you of that which god has blessed you with it's time you understand that for god were to come alive in our life like joseph it's a life well live because you see when you are living for god and god bless you with finances nobody have to trick you in sowing seed because you recognize that it's god that bless you and because god bless you you have to bless others so nobody can pluck it out of your hand but because of the heart you have you are willing to give it up joseph walked into his blessing i'll read for you the bible says in first thessalonians i'm closing now in everything give thanks in everything gives us for this is the will of god in christ jesus concerning you what is he saying to us this morning if god's people begin to recognize that life as itself will always present obstacles do not see the obstacles as mere setbacks but see your obstacles as an opportunity because you know why you get them you're on your way to greatness if people stop experiencing people talking about them ask our bishop if you're not experiencing people hating you you're not going anywhere if people not talking bad about you as god's people i am not talking you set them up to talk bad but they talk about just like joseph important for wife he didn't do anything but it was he was labelled what i'm saying to us this morning do not be fearful of what you're going through because you're on your way to fulfill god's purpose in your life in luke 22 41 42 it says and he was withdrawn from the from them about a stone cast and knelt down and prayed saying father if it is if thou be willing remove this cup from me nevertheless not my will but thy thy will be done you know why our will is to go through life scot-free and walk into blessing i'm closing you know be careful of just wanting god's bless your blessing bless you you have a purpose you have to go through some things do not think it's strange the word of god says because you have to go through them but it doesn't mean that god has forgotten you do not let coving frighten you it's not about to take you out but it's a time for you to shine for god because when cove it is all done away with you and i will be here and it we always say only what is done for christ will last and so even when joseph was promoted and everybody come and bow before him he never glory in it but you see if all we want is the promotion and all we want is to be seen too many people get that promotion and today they neither have the promotion nor the name to go with it because their motive was wrong they did not go through the process brothers and sisters the process is not easy it's not easy when you are not wrong and they accuse you but don't complain about it because if you complain about it you would have missed god joseph never complained stand with me he never complained but i believe in his heart of heart he never forget the dream so as you go through today whether you have for you have not recognized that it doesn't matter who you are today there's a word on your life it's time to draw the line against the world and when you draw the line it's not because you're going to be perfect but it's because you're going to be determined that you're going to shine for the master you know there might be those of you in here you have not even begin to know where the line is much less to draw that line i'm going to ask you to start coming you know that you're not safe we're going to use social distancing in here but we want you to connect to the master so if you know you're not safe you know you have not drawn that line for jesus i'm going to ask you for a few minutes to rise from where you're seated and i'm going to ask you to walk down to this altar because i believe there is a purpose for your life because the word of come now because only god can straighten out your life all over this place all over this compound wherever you're standing at an altar i'm going to ask you to bow your heads and i'm going to ask the church to pray for them and we are going to pray that god will save them and that god will bring them out let's pray most righteous and eternal god here are your people who have heard your word lord god as they hear your word today i pray almighty god that you will cause your spirit to rest in their heart god i pray that you will cause them to come to know you whom to know is life father you know everything about them that's why you died and so lord god as we lift them up before you this morning i pray god that you will wash them in your precious blood god i pray that you will give them a change of heart i pray almighty god that you will cause everything god that is happening in their life that is not intended by you to happen i pray god that you will destroy it and i pray god that you will bring them out in the name of jesus i pray mighty god that even right now god you will cause them to surrender to you and have you directing their life father i commit them to you and i pray god saved and i just want to say to all of you that all god wants is a surrendered life there's no magic one in serving god it's just a surrendered life and god will help you to live this christian life
