Summer Plans | Grad School Update

hello and welcome to the lettered classroom my name is bridget spacman i'm a multi-age teacher in central pennsylvania and i'm a sponsored flexpath student at cappella university so summertime is so close for me i can taste it in fact my boys are already at home enjoying their summer time i have just a little bit longer left and so with summer being right around the corner for me obviously i'm already starting to create my summer plans and build out what my summer's gonna look like so i have a few trips planned out and i wanted to share those with you guys first trip is we're gonna be heading to the poconos i've never been to the poconos we're gonna go to a resort it's like a water park resort it's gonna be so much fun just to be able to hang out with my boys my family and just enjoy a little bit of time where i can put some energy back into my body before i start to go gung-ho towards the summer uh we're also planning to head to ocean city at some point this summer um just to be again with my mother-in-law father-in-law brother-in-law just the whole gang is gonna be there and it's gonna be really nice to just lay on the beach feel the feel the sand in my toes and then finally i am planning on heading to texas in july i haven't seen quite a bit of my family for some time and so heading to texas in july and spending a good two weeks there with them is gonna just be a true blessing and so i am really trying to make sure that i have that time to where i can unplug and just be around all of my family because i have a very big family as i'm kind of planning out my trips obviously i have to really consider some of the other obligations that i have to kind of put into place for the summer and one of those things that i really want to put on the top priority list is going to be grad school guys i am so close if i work really hard i can be done in the fall with my masters of education with capella and that's very very exciting so what i've done is i've started to create a list of all of the grad classes that i still have left and then i'm kind of plugging and playing them in certain areas as far as the months go and what i need to be finishing this is going to give me kind of that feeling of okay if i get this done then i know that i'm going to get closer i also have it as a checklist so that i can kind of scratch it off and i think that's another form of motivation to kind of push me through it and get done but grad school during the summer is just a really great time for us to be able to push ahead and just to build ourselves as teachers and to build our craft education is always evolving it is always changing this past year has shown us how much education is constantly going to be changing building in technology multiple cultural theories going into uh and building in personalized learning and making sure that we're developing plans that focus on the child and how can we build that as teachers is really really important and i've been so proud of my flexpath format with capella and going through my masters because i've had the opportunity to dive deep into some really great readings and looking at myself as a teacher and ensuring that i'm incorporating all of these things into my daily routines in my classroom so definitely go in and check out the flexpath format with capella it has been something that i have been very grateful for over the past year or two years and i am excited to finally get to that point where i can say that i have a masters of education it's been a lot of hard work but very excited for it so if you have any questions regarding capella flexpath format masters of education leave them down below i'll be happy to answer any of those questions i also have some links in the description box that you guys can go and check out so i have big plans this summer guys and um i hope that you're going to be there help cheering me on reading for me so that i can get it done um i hope you guys enjoyed this little may update i will be back next month with another update for where i am with capella and thank you guys so much for watching my name is bridges backman i'm a multi-age teacher in central pennsylvania and i am a sponsored flexpath student at capella university
