hi you guys welcome back to my channel so last week I cut six inches of my own hair off at home right here in my bathroom and into this super cute short Bob I'm still loving it I styled it straight for you guys in that video asked if you guys would like to see a messy curls tutorial this week lots of you said yes so I am going to share with you guys some of my tips to get to curl um messy curls in short hair because I do it a little bit different so that you don't get this like kind of round curly haired poof thing going on I'm also going to share with you guys a couple of my favorite products including how what shampoo I use to keep my blonde super Oishi cuz I get that question a lot and so yeah if you guys are interested in seeing some of my tips stay tuned for the rest of the video okay so my current fave owning shampoo is the violet by launch' it's super dark they have two this one's the darker of the two then i pair it with the creme Brule conditioner and I pair it with this instead of the violet conditioner because this has keratin protein so it's going to repair your hair especially for blondes and then once a week I use this sales venom keratin treatment mask just to keep my blonde nice and healthy and prevent breakage okay and then after you have blow-dried your hair I will take a video at the end of this video and down in the description of my favorite styling products for shine and volume and all of that but we are going to get right into the curls so I'm using the 25-millimeter luster wand from longe and they have two different wands or a couple different ones there's this one and then there's the on delay and then there's one where you can change the attachments the difference between this one and the on delay is that this one you can change the temperature settings the on delay just sets automatically to 410 degrees I believe okay so my first tip you'll notice is I'm curling all of my curls away from my face and this is a key to like a more kind of modern messy messy curls kind of look and then I'm just taking the whole top section and curling them all in the back it doesn't really matter but it just as long as the front ones are going away from your face and then I'll show you because this is just a little bit different here so now I'm just spreading the curls the top layer of curls and going down to the next level so normally or in other videos I've done you'll see like I'll clip it up and start at the bottom and work my way up but the trick to doing Shore hair is working your way down in my opinion this is what I feel works best for not having such a round like poof ball of curls when your hair is shorter like mine is right now so I'm doing all the front pieces right now I just like them all to be curled away from my face for the front here I just keep going back and forth so that I get the curls symmetrical and like where I'm picking up the hair and stuff like that and that's basically just for the very front of your hair just so that the curls stay it's symmetrical okay then going on to the next layer down of your hair now I'm curling all of these pieces towards my face because I curled the top layer away from my face now I'm curling these ones towards because if you do curls that are going one way in the other way like kind of mixing the curls up that is the key to messy curls otherwise if you have them all going the same direction when they're brushed out they'll kind of all lump together and make this kind of like romantic kind of wave which is really pretty but not what we're going for for this look so just notice that I'm kind of going down down to the next level and sort of like a brick laying pattern like I'll go in between the curls pick up the next section in about a one-inch size section you don't want to get too big or the curls kind of go a bit wonky which you'll find out if you do do this and take a piece that's too big yeah and I just work around my head from here on out okay so here I'm just kind of looking for pieces that are maybe gonna peek through and be too straight looking so I found one here and this is a key for working from the top going down especially on shore hair because I'm not going to have to curl all the hair at the very bottom of like by my nape one because those some of the pieces of hair are way too short and too when you get curling those very like Nate pieces in short hair that's when you get kind of a ball shape of curls going on in your hair and so this way working from the top down you can just kind of see how everything's hanging and curl your hair accordingly you could just skip the bottom layer of your hair if you like working from the bottom up but I like doing it this way because then like I said you can see how the curls are all hanging and it just helps with having that like messy curl look like you don't want everything to be perfect notice that I have the ends of the curls straight and it's not curly all the way to the to the tips of my hair so anything that is going to be straight at the very very back where you have some of those short pieces of hair it's just gonna blend in with the straight pieces of the hair that you've curled above it so I hope that makes sense I'm just gonna curl and sort of that like bricklaying pattern that i was talking about going down for the rest of the back of my hair and then I'll show you how I check it just to make sure there's not gonna be too many straight pieces peeking out in the back okay so then I just kind of shake my hair a little bit and just take a look and see if there's any that are looking a bit too straight or if they're too straight in one particular section and I'll just break that up by adding a curl and give it a shake again and you can see how this gives you like a nice sort of more elongated set of like messy curls rather than a more formal set of curls so then I'm just taking and spraying some hairspray all over this is just going to lock those curls in give the curls more wear because usually I can get about two or three days or more out of a set of messy curls and then just toss it around and here I'm putting in one pump of satin nectar I love this serum love it every everyone especially blondes out there need this because it's not heavy but it gives your blonde shine any hair it gives all hair shine but I especially love it because sometimes my hair can look a little bit dull and then I'm tossing in some back combing obviously because it's not complete without back combing and just putting some in the back underneath all around and I did it with a pic rather than a comb because then it just kind of makes a looser back comb and then spray everything in place do the whole 360 so you don't look like you have create a crazy rat's nest in the back and fix anything that's a little bit out of place and I will try and link every product and styling tool that I used in this video so you guys can check it out if there's anything that you wanted to try I know that there is a really sweet Mother's Day Sale going on on the launch site so you'll definitely want to check those out and also be sure to check out my two other videos here and subscribe to my channel so you guys don't miss out on my next video I'll see you in the next one bye
