Chun Lee all right all right so we got to figure this out here you know my dog is now playing Chun Lee here Luna out here um yeah honestly Luna with Chun Lee it's going to be interesting to see this match up in particular because I think you're going to really be challenging a lot of the bid screen against Ed and I think Ed kind of excels at that right now especially when you look at the psycho flicker let's see how this oh nice drop no punish though yeah going in there with the for throw yeah Ed again his neutral is so powerful but you know he's been said to be lacking up close and but not looking like that so far yeah not quite yeah that ending in flicker is such a great opportunity for Ed to kind of that pressure and you do get some frame traps with uh that flicker but it's all about you know keeping that aggression at the midscreen like you said even at the long range dude like a great zoner odd which is crazy for a box nice drive out the medium yeah definitely an outboxer to say the least and Chun Le is typically the one playing that far range game so I wonder how this match up goes I haven't had a chance to see it yet yeah this is definitely my first time like still Ed folks like couple weeks out here so far so definitely uh you know lot to be learned here but technical yeah that was a big reach I wonder if we were trying to react to maybe another hansu or potential Koken right there to try to get right through it cuz that does have the invulnerability to challenge there yeah entirely possible I looked at the the the C at the top there I was like is that modern because that looked kind of weird for a moment nice with punish stagger here nice follow up oh God yeah some flashes of dudle there I like that so much yeah being able to go for some jugle routes with Ed is actually really fun but again just the technicality of it like how difficult those uh routes can be can really kind of ooh make a break a lot of Ed players here so we do have the first pick up and right there at that initial heavy it's a very tight window after the light uppercut yeah right as you mentioned at the commentator's curse I'll try to keep it to myself next time oh there we go that should be straight into level three maybe but that's not going to kill no pretty close though yeah it does buy you the time to build up that drive gauge meter cuz Luna definitely leaps and bounce ahead of it here mhm oh yeah instantly yeah there we go and again I I keep wed to call it snatcher just based on history but I think at this point it's okay cuz that move doesn't really have a name right it's just fully charged flicker yeah it's just a full uh psycho flicker right there full charge that gets the pull in and still your turn after nice medium kick Drive Rush here and with the nice juggle combo M holding the corner but just backing off slowly nice yeah the psycho spark will definitely help out there with the fireball game o with the hazan Sho mhm a couple flicker Series right there ooh yeah jump in a little bit hard with Ed here okay going in there with the dart you know kxm has been pretty uh pretty passive so far in neutral not really thrown out too many of those flickers as you would expect or just like the the kicks right yeah that was one thing I noted from watching Punk play like was very into throwing S at the mid-range here like at different staggered intervals to kind of keep the opponent guessing cuz you got the counter hit you got the big followup right after but this burnout state is actually a great Boom for Ed no miss the ant here not enough oh the back door punish counter that's going to be a chunk of damage and Luna is going to take the first game your dog is nice at this game okay you know yeah yeah she deserves a treat at the very least all right Ki here oh jeez yeah again these flickers at long range it's going to be pretty tough to kill I say flickers not the psycho flicker P there like medium kick there cuz kick buttons are the flicker punches here from Ed yeah and it's it's so hard because if you know anything about Combat Sports as well you kind of want to say flicker just cuz it is a flicker jab but as I was saying that takes the first round that was definitely a little bit of aggression there maybe didn't like how that last game went yeah no kidding I mean you were on the cusp of Victory right there you're in that control space it's like you are here at this full screen cuz you're definitely going to be able to out Zone Chun Lee like she does have Koken but at those further ranges you have that psycho spark to help you out even anti clicker is an option but letes get the jump over here with button from kxm yeah and as you mentioned that the cycle spark and the followup after the fact I believe it's called cycle shoots I'm not I'm not fully sure um yeah and just having the option to just clash with a fireball and immediately retaliate with another one is pretty powerful in this game only the something close to that is DJ with his heavy Fireball oh four throw cross that's tricky actually those jump in are not necessarily like great cross up options o the reaction with the impact okay ready but drops the combo though and yeah dropping another one here is uh kxf it's it's such a tight window like you have to hit the light uppercut at the apex of the uppercut in order to get the followup for heavy it's that tight I'm not going to lie to you I just mash it there's that too you know you could try to follow up smash okay good jump there no anti-air oh oh already committed to the cancel so there was no way to react to it and drops the combo as well yeah it's been a lot of that this game level three oh this is CA this going to hurt almost burnout got to try to catch up here this is the exact scenario we were in in the last game but one touch is all that you need off oh there works out anyway I was going to say the bur IM it but the back off was unexpected Jabs does Drive Gage back with the throw will finish Luna with the two lead right now very nice from Luna yeah that this this dog got Paws man I'm going to have to just build a larger leverless for her paw you know and that way never missed on anything oh that's true yeah get the perfect slide techniques mhm Fireball game going on here nice jab out for the uh wake up here mhm just the light punch jab starter anyways didn't fall through a Target combo which would have been nice get at least like a soft knock down there nice yeah we're seeing way more aggression in neutral here from kxm but ends up in the corner at least pretty close to it mhm heavy punch yeah there we go now we're seeing flashes of punk as you mentioned before just way more activity in the neutral a little too much I was going to say I was going to say okay maybe a little too much now that's the one thing you definitely don't want to forget even Ed tells you in the character guys that's hey you know you can charge this but remember I will get blown up by Drive impacts you're too uh predictable with it don't don't forget the kill Rush too you can cancel those out get the back dash after that is true yeah if you're holding it you just get out of there there we go and the low yeah seriously those those attacks are so good it's really one of those things like you have to represent it just enough for your opponent to want to do something about it you want to counter them for doing it I think the character is designed really like an out an outboxer yeah yeah it's been really fast you see it in the stance too you know like us EO fans out here even you know just regular boxing fans we definitely recognize like how the the pace of the match really goes and they really re designed in such a unique way yeah you're kind of forced to make a a really hard decision and it's not it's not easy to do honestly ooh EBP with a $15 contribution thank you very much oh nice oh jeez yep every time it is drive impactful you got to be paying attention to those tendencies that you have you can't just throw them out for free like that yeah as you mentioned even just holding it and then a backing off could be something you can use to kind of deter your opponent from even thinking about doing the impact oh that drops it that was definitely level three yeah yeah that had to have been I mean you only got the one uppercut there so it with the height of it would have been difficult to get the heavy followup oh oh goes for the level two yeah here we go we're playing Street Fighter 5 oh but nice little bit of a push out right there that was actually a nice call from kxm does get the pressure right after to hit there first game yeah I love the push out and like just do nothing and just kind of see what happens like that that to me embodies what Ed kind of wants to do just like yeah just engage but not really commit see what happens I do love seeing the the T of working around that level two Fireball right of just the cop that push out like you push in with h some buttons here and go for the kill Rush backwards so then you can kind of get the opponent to try to whip into the fireball for a full extension there there's a lot of utilization around it oh I haven't seen that but that actually sounds like a pretty nice idea oh okay I wonder if we would have charged Fierce like if we would have been able to punish that more than likely but but Luna has been on point with these impacts so far making it really hard for Ed to throw out anything in neutral oh no punish but guess the four throw burns out this is kind of dangerous okay nice got poor heavy punch no follow up I don't I missed it I don't think that was the punish counter hit so we can't get really too much off of it yeah oh go straight for the sweep you know what yeah I respect that not a bad idea yeah I think um I'm I'm really liking the awareness here from Luna in general um that that jump out the corner actually was really smart as well all right so took straight here yeah nice knock down oh yeah it's looking like an end round yeah oh the jab are you kidding me get a little antsy at this full screen range got to be careful cuz you're one flicker away from a level three in a victory yeah that is true however kxm might get to hold on to the meter if they can take this round oh the impact again okay Luna looking for the kill right now one more of goes and that should be it Spence level two I don't know if I agree with that and it drops anyway okay so round a piece here kxm surviving but Luna going for that big spend there so going to be down as far as resources go in kxm like you said looking pretty without having to spend any meter yeah and we talked about this earlier Ed is quite good at getting those straight hits in neutral if you can get that conversion it could be a pretty big deal oh there's one oh y going to go straight for the level three get the giant lead right now Luna's going to be fighting off the back foot one more see what the next situation will look like here if we stick with the full screen the way kxm has been going yep of course goes for the charge but already locked in for the light as opposed to potentially the anti that would be a hard greed if we did that all the four heavy for the burnout that was so smart I do have to point out though kick him o CAU me mid sentence yeah nice okay almost back that drive gauge is about to be full again Luna looking good but stra for the impact wait that wasn't a punish counter not quite oh no the level two unw that is unfortunate because yes you got the rebounds there with the ex flicker which gives you another opportunity for trouble oh again oh no the punish counter impact that's the second time we've seen that happen to level one out of nowhere in neutral I wonder what that was it's either and bet your opponent I think that's going to be much stronger but our next set will be D with Chun Le here that's Ling K on Chun Le no safe words with D different style of zoning here especially you know the originator of zoning here in Street Fighter yeah one might say I don't even know if I call the zoning at all it's it's just a completely safe wordss here guaranteed I mean I've in there too where I can hit with a few Drive impacts but you know what it's yeah it feels kind of disrespectful do you really think I'm not going to do could have been a different story get that drive impact had enough Health to back it up but uh nice par start that is true but we're playing Street Fighter 6 no time to think twice about your decision you kind of have to go oh nice go for high don't follow up though SP B combo these teleports have been great so far and unfortunately going to get scooped up after that first one almost got a burn out on Lion quite there yet but we already built it right back up nice challenge there the drive impact will drain line from meter we still have a level one here yeah I'm wondering if the level two may have been a better decision there but oh never mind the throw bait with the flip over and uh yeah nice there nice bait absolutely I I totally agree I was thinking maybe a level two that level one definitely at least doing a grip of damage there and uh securing line the victory in the next interaction after a couple throws though ooh nice pred Fireball mortar there but yo the same route time and time again lion has you downloaded for this one yeah and the side switch but then Burns themselves out going to have to hold the stun combo what is it going to be drops it oh oh that is not what you want to see happen that's going to be straight into the level three going to hold all this Wing Chun punches had it teed off it was perfect that was your opportunity to get the punish and I'm not quite sure if we should have burned out at that point like we only had upwards pretty close to level two I think we saw there from no safe so you weren't necessarily there for a kill route until you got further along in your combo yeah I think I remember uh I'm not sure if it was level two but it was definitely a good amount of meter to do it some damage without needing to do uh to burn yourself out but now in the corner that has been happening pretty quickly for the whole set just end up in the corner really fast yeah right legs still safe here good throw was that Tech me legs that's not possible right I I don't I feel like you should be able to punish that I need cuz each Kick is individual independent I don't think you can Medi it like that right that was strange punish yeah I was wondering where that was going to come all right is that going to okay I was going to save that fireball punish that would have been hilarious to teleport good block though from Lion M the throw base has been consistent so far usually you see Chung Le use like air legs but I've never seen a Chung Le used the flip over like that as a primary throw yeah something a little unorthodox keep no safe words opened up here and a perfect to start that third game and closing It Out 3 0 Squall coming up here against Neo Judi it'll be Rasheed up against Cammy yeah Squall historically a really good player I think played a little bit of Street Fighter 5 but um didn't really know how to play in this game so far so I'm wondering if the rash's a long-term thing or uh still experimenting yeah I mean still pretty strong character ooh beautiful an here holy cow Judi already locked in the corner T has his own but actually I'm not sure if this the same Squad I know they're two different squads I might be talking about someone else I know the squ you're talking about I'm just like yeah maybe I'm not sure I'm not sure but yeah that was a quick first round there from Neo Judi nice got the strike good Tech though from Squall oh crou definitely going to get the punish here that jumps out the corner yeah that was well timed as well a little bit delayed yeah definitely very lucky there on you Judi part with the challenge right back from squ oh unfortunately no follow up we do get the hooligan combination though oh no the Cammy mix no and the level three that was a that was what we call what's going what's happening yeah know that was definitely parkour and rashed was the pavement that did not work out first game go to NE you die Eagle Spike to the corner here in the throw so this is where it's real scary nice no follow up there you could have followed a little bit more tricky angle though oh yeah the wh punish dive kick yeah one of Cam's best tools actually just getting that punish kind of dive kick up here still able to pressure in corner but we got to be careful cuz this drive gauge is dwindling hey now you're about to even Steven so you can still fight in the mid screen here mhm Squad looking for a clean way in not overc committing but those diaps and the straight hits from Cammy have been paying dividends right when the meter was running out that was money well spent super clean that was very good yeah you had to know that was coming in order to try to survive that scenario you had to I mean best bet maybe would have been like a perfect Parry to get the side swap even better if you could react to drive impact but I don't think the startup would have fast after that I mean that was really tough because that's one of those situations where Neo just basically said hey it's you or me like either you die here or I die and you hate to see it so he are already out in play here got a little bit of work you at least got that corner position for the damage Drive Impact reaction is here for S cor especially after that jump we got the OD DP here from cam to get out of that corner yeah and Neo can definitely make this happen we saw it before but never mind the punish and the dive kick I was going to say is this going to be another blender from Camy with the level three on the ca on Deck actually got another round at the very least yeah I haven't seen another hooligan shenanigan situation here yet but okay yeah there it is right as you called it hey man you might want to keep your mouth shut yeah I know I'm I'm starting [Laughter] to S out play this really help out that drive gauge on J I I like the respect because now you're trying to build up your own you got a little bit of charge oh actually nothing nothing at all super passive yeah that was a little strange not even trying to take advantage of after the blocking was happening especially you could have kicked it out and forced judai to block that and then they would have drained out of Drive gauge while you built some back but right now here we go the extension and the impact right back at you yeah there it is that's revenge for sure yeah that was revenge for sure Squad was like you're going to impact me on mey hold this and instantly goes for the big rashed combo and the thing I like about rash is like he doesn't do that much damage at once so you just keep getting hit for a solid 10 seconds and he just keeps going yeah yeah it just take the disguise make a sandwich and come back later that combo oh nice jab out F yet though eag Spike goes to the center of the screen okay back rise there from Neo scary situation cuz look at how explosive Cammy can be already carried right back to the West Coast but dropped the combo that's unfortunate mm I like the anation there from Neo as well after the spin knuckle this time instead of walking forward walks back into the cross medum kick remembering that the last time he got counter hit with the cross slide punch oh that's burned out even oh nice SL very rare to see from rashed actually yeah the last thing you want to beat is ashy when this uh this level two is out there it is right back to normal but shimmy cross light punch does not hit that fly over unfortunately and uh squ is going to take that round these Hooligans have been pretty much 100% so far little puty game nice every single time antiair spiral yeah The Roundhouse antiair me not a character lacking options whatever you need she has it exactly right keep your distance there that Medium kick trying to draw a line here nice jump in though perfect timing oh yeah but it hits so it wasn't expecting the hit stun and the grab whiffs and now it's going to eat this big combo and the level oh yeah that's going to be death I think not quite bait yeah squ you might want to hold on to your um what is it called his guilt there take the throw not living up to it would have W you round there would have been like a single uh Cyclone just to get out of there got the victory yeah one round a piece one game a piece this round's very important both players now Neo sitting on that level three B for the h again but it corrects Camy will find you very good here very dangerous jump out that could have killed slide to get out of the corner at the least and uh hold that middle but oh my goodness who at combinations one more time nice jab out this one yeah going for the kill again okay squ sitting on that CA though can get a clean hit with rashed that would be a big deal right now almost oh no how you going to combo but it's r no oh no that's going to be it yeah the level three is going to go through I really think you could have converted into the level three there somehow I'm not sure what the optimal would have been but once you got the first it in the air I feel like he could have just landed it to level three and that would have been enough yeah I I honestly after that interaction alone I would hope that you take that to the lab almost immediately and just like triy to figure out how you could have routed to that level three cuz that was a highlight in the making for sure for sure I mean even maybe like a raw level two could have been a big deal there but if anyone can do it it's rashed for sure like if any character can convert that optimally it's oh wowan combination we've got the throw on wake up plus frame yeah spin knuckle is still grounded once you get to the other side that was perfectly timed on the throw as well uh-oh now you're getting mix oh no oh yeah there is some knowledge tcks going on right now oh absolutely and Rashid God frame trap possibilities from rashed will really keep me guessing yeah to fly over and just like the oh yeah that was a lot to look for there but that that was uh that was payback again that was retribution for all the all the hulas you've been hitting nice DP all started with just the wrong answer on the or the right answer from Squall on that uh spin knle just perfect grab mhm nice CR kick to carry over one more time with the eagle Spike into the corner oh nice OD DP yeah that was definitely a good time to DP things were going bad and rapidly okay it's kind of tense now mhm the ca is a big deal one throw yeah now the ca is a real threat oh level two okay got to hold this but again so passive with this here okay got the quick Dash but leaving the tornado behind or the defensive impact from a distance that's going to be a lot of damage and that should take the round yeah that's definitely taking the round so unfortunate yeah it's so interesting to see the way Squall utilizes isar like we don't use it as that Force pressure like uh we do see JB quite often linger right on top of it kick it towards the opponent it's always that recurring offensive tool for them and this is just that pass sty right to rebuild that drive gauge meter use it as an extension leaving it in the background as opposed to trying to chip out I mean this is I want to see what happens here but squall's definitely playing like someone who doesn't main rashed but it's kind of just playing rashed because works yeah at least when at least when the level two comes into play yeah okay back throw we've seen this before Neo is not going to be very forgiving oh all right Tri to might we do the DP NE ji that's IMM overhead that's going to be it big combo here but drops it okay okay so you have to make up for that with DP unfortunately dive kick going get OD spinning mixer here yeah that was a pretty low uh low DP as well I mean that that might also be uh part of the Buffs that Rashid just received maybe that helped it a little bit but that looked like it was low enough to where it wouldn't have matter right yeah richy with the quality of life Buffs interesting that they gave it to a right but also like necessary from what I hear for the OD uh spiny mixer in particular to be utilized as an actual anti-air tool on a little bit there yeah it definitely does uh-oh jab jab light kick conversion and the spin knuckle this time will hit and the impact yeah the DP yeah skull's like n I'm over it over it no more that the one time it worked and then after that oh no not quick enough by the jab yeah was not oh and was not ready with the level one that that's really unfortunate oh true yeah like the neutal game one more time here Camy definitely Superior in this interaction we've seen though Crouch medium kick from small definitely gets a few hits in to get that eagle Spike to the corner yeah definitely some strange decisions being made by Squall here here and there at least just not looking too comfortable but I'm unsure why I like this set up yeah this is a much better set up when when corner with level two we get a lot of great interactions here yeah that is true tries to bait the Parry there with the by kicking it but not working out again no way oh I was going to say is this a Grappler or what is going on right now getting looped with the command grabs trying to recover on Drive gauge as quickly as possible by staying offensive here cross up nice cross under from Squall though and great defense we do have drive back for sure that is it and spend the level three just in case going to make you watch the animation and Neo Judi is going to take the set 3 to2 very close one Squall you know still pick up the pieces throughout the set I do like the immediate adjustment after uh getting knocked down initially by that Dron we don't really know why only the player can answer that yeah absolutely so we do have same old Biz coming up here with another Rasheed and there's JP we got JP back here from finally yeah we finally got a JP on Deck been a while I forgot this character existed for a bit dude true true yeah completely gone it's only eight hours of uh One Singular song and then you just it's gone race from existance yep yep we got the purple JP I like this one and we have Rasheed again I think um this match Up's a weird one because Rasheed typically um has good options to kind of just go through all the projectiles with the uh the eagle Spike but Rashid when Rashid does get in the the mey Fireballs kind of a big deal for JP especially just be the Amnesia oh the throw bait throw again we'll see here yeah there it is just lingering Fireball but of course don't wake up amnesia quite yet we're trying to figure out the Cadence at the very least at s fiz the pressure on Oki but yeah smart the JP players already at adjusting light nice drive reversal but don't forget the o spinning mixer yeah oh that was a sick setup with the back throw into Stam heum kick into the the OD command grab or reg yeah cuz you don't expect fli out so quickly mostly you know JP another one of those characters can constantly combo you in the corner we didn't have a departure setup so it was nice to go for that reset y yeah and there's the punish counter and that's what I was I think what SLE was looking for it was the punish counter on the command grab to then drain that drive gauge but it didn't come could have been a big deal in that last round har amnesia for the burnout interesting we do have the level two available here on the side of sickle we're looking for a nice confirm though to start that off that is true JP one of the better characters at dealing with uh with rashid's level two has the spike has uh can also put a level two on you depending on where you're on the screen makes things interesting mhm runs out yeah it just runs out I want no part of that full chest I'm going to take my St out here and we're good yeah no I definitely like JP his driver is hilarious cuz he just keeps walking he just keeps walking dude so when I drive Rush under people and I'm playing JP I like oh cool yeah I'm just going to keep going I don't want no part of this I'm out nice swi for the level three it's going to be a big deal here going to get some Drive gauge backu nice especially crucial situation here going to own the corner nice throw look and I love this challenge here because you're daring same Biz to spend the drive game with an OD spinning mixer to put themselves in Burnout then you set yourself up for a better scenario later if that's the mistake that same Biz wanted to make that was all the better for sickle but the jump in will get in here by departure good stuff yeah very good stuff as you mentioned yeah CLE there with good awareness and the of the um resources overall JP is particularly good at that m oh no yeah caught the back dash there looks like Corner situation to throw yeah you got to guess on these oh but the jab oh yeah yeah very nice that's going to be a combo no matter what yeah JP still gets the advantage there but the scaling on the damage is a big deal the overhead that was very sick with that departure St right there we slid into the uh drop r Med kick that was there and staggered it with departure to poke out yep yep I thought you were going to say that was sickle and I was like shut up right now oh man missed opportunity my bad my bad yeah going into D for low forward yeah big damage here JP full screen this is exactly what he wants you going to chip down on your on your drive G chip down on your health by the time you get in you're going to lose a lot be still getting that anti-air here trying to take a step back oh the jab right on top of the teleport there at least good awareness here from same old Biz Amnesia again these Amnesia have been panning out but sickle burning out for that I'm not sure if it's worth it but we'll see would have thought we were going to confirm yes that's going to be that's going to be a lot level three on Deck yep there it is yeah I was I was going to say I wonder if um if s bu is keeping tabs on that because you need your impact to be three frames oh less than three frames you need a two frame Gap or one frame Gap because that no meter Amnesia is start start on frame three so if you leave a gap that's three frames he can still get you and of course as you saw if he has resources you do die yeah yeah that's just crazy awareness right there from CLE of course though right you at this point mastered your character uh as JP you're not out of resources even though you're are you are in Burnout you still have had that reversal opportunity but the drive impact back from Sam Biz beautiful reaction alling the whole time I like that and the spike okay yeah burnt out for that yeah that was definitely a good off me I don't want to hold any of this yeah I mean a solid attempt there from Sam Biz try to get the burn out I mean that is a smart path there but of course you could expect the immediate Amnesia right after but the nice e finish the round well again it had the same issue as the previous situation where the Gap it wasn't it wasn't enough right and I think that was yeah that was that was a meterless CU it was burnt out roundhouse anti-air yeah very good roundhouse that's precisely what I was talking about a second ago JP does have some decent options that could have worked out but yeah again small loss for what that could have been with rash carrying into the corner that first on your opponent's trap Rush that is true and SLE actually paused a little bit before that impact as well I think maybe looking for a Parry that would lock you out from being able to impact better decision here would have been level three but I think this should do it no matter what all goes for the reset as well and SLE is going to take it three to one with the clean JP you were you definitely I I like that this mindset with Street Fighter 6 when players just think you know what I'm already kind of screwed here I'm going to try my best to get out of the situation yeah and yeah it didn't work out that time but so far it's still looking pretty solid okay with drve Rush here to carry to the corner still has resources for the next round and maybe that's why we didn't spend level three in that scenario we were confident we're going to take it either way so we can carry into this x round for a big significant strike if we get that opportunity here cuz this level three will for the Sprint run methodology here on Drive cage yeah I mean for the last few I think it was mostly on the on the reversal DPS with a burnout game or at least for a good chunk of it but it's not it's not too uncommon to see loot players burn out this often especially since Noah has kind of paved the way with uh with that ideology big chunk of damage here goes for the level three and then CA as well on top of it unnecessary damage and Pac-Man you mentioned this yeah you were right kind of wanted a little bit more passive sometimes here and there to try and bait some stuff to get the big damage out of rfl and it did work out yeah there we go one round or one game of pie all right and you do have have to be careful in those situations cuz that's the the one thing I'd be concerned about right is if my opponent is going all you know just hands on deck know just firing off like a DP after DP and then you take that moment of caution and maybe that's what your opponent is looking for it's the mind games that are the most terrifying in the next game uh after such a beat down like that or the next interaction we saw our fellow wake up with the cross medium punch right after something like that it's one of those things where you kind of have to just take your chances wherever it makes sense for you yes good jab into medium punch here oh that's going to be level one yeah that should be it arela takes the first round convincingly that was definitely a speed run and the burnout as well you mention every time see it's something about this color I feel like Lukes that use this color they frequently burn out I I don't know what it is it's the Devil Trigger man spending resources at a rapid rate per he's dropped it though rare drop that's the first one we've seen uh in the set so far true tries to go for the air to air but a little bit too far away okay yeah you see they getting probably a jump out or a back dash attempt and that's been consistent we've seen some kind of evasive maneuver instantly into the DP that's like that seems to be this the sequence for arill is I'm going to try and Escape somehow if it doesn't work out I'm going to DP yeah very interest see we got it again too right another counter hit on that throw okay Crouch strong maybe no Crouch stab uhoh even oh not quite close enough to get that punish but the throw will do that's a round for pman and both players again we saw this before one game of piece one round a piece and both at three bars this is dangerous Max that was the perfect position for Pacman there and look at already how much Drive beer we've used and back at you with the drive reversal no jump out for you but the Crouch medum I mean talk about how much Drive meter used look at how much Drive meter uh RF forced Pac-Man to actually get off it's been remote it's been kind of close in Drive cage even though Pac-Man's been pretty passive right uh-oh well okay good par here and the meter's right back again overhead that's going to be a big chunk doesn't need much here that's going to be level three and that's going to be it arill is going to take this and go up two to one yeah it's it's been constant so what I'm noticing from arfel is this I'm going to spend resources take my shot see how it works if it doesn't work out I'm going to go back recoup a little bit force you to hold his heavy charge knuckle which I'm going to do for sure you're going to Parry you're going to do anything about it and then get my meter back and then try it again and it that's a that's a terrible way to you don't want to fight someone who's thinking like this without having answers for this otherwise they're just going to keep trying on it works out and you don't want Luke to have someone who is kind of trying over over and over again cuz if it works out once you're dead yeah not at all especially when you think about the fact that Pacman could have gone for you know a quick Punisher like a dve impact on the heavy flash but the lingering threat of the meter behind Luke made it very specific that Pac-Man had to find that perfect car to steal that turn back and look how Relentless we were still dropping burnout State R fella massively oh our right now sitting on that level one the back jump baits the dive kick and gets a punish counter and is sitting on set point instantly dude going in there yep the jab jab jab there we go Pac-Man finally fighting back here get the St medium punch you see you see what I mean it's the invion and then the DP it's been consistent here to the level three yeah this this is kind of tough because Pac-Man if Pac-Man gets a hit here could even it out pretty rapidly but I don't know it's been looking all R fellow as far as momentum yeah all right so now that we're conversation yeah that would be very terrifying to see especially the damage output that Ryu has access to like off of a lot of great confirms um it just builds up so quickly compared to you know Ken also does great damage output but it'll be interesting to see how that shakes down and uh as time goes on here that is true yeah and uh right now so far the neutral is looking pretty even between these two just kind of doing the fireball game that was probably an attempted DP oh the walk up walk into the cross medium kick me yeah ha kii that's one of the biggest Buffs that we got so far you're the trigger Noah up 21 right now yeah and that was fast that like you can tell when Noah is feeling it because the rounds typically end pretty fast or at least the pace of the match starts to feel very fast yep a little interrupt the reactions are still there from jansel mhm yeah jansel definitely not giving up right now just kind of holding the space no conversion though I like that notices the spacing was just a little bit too far and this goes for the drivers but didn't pan out too much cross cut with this time here burnout save for jansel still got suppressor big after that just got threat rather than try to spend it right away for uh extending combo route to get that explosion yeah no that's definitely one of the one of the things about managing resources is do I spend it now do I leave it as a threat for later if a poison character or something like this it's one of those things to consider for sure nice slide but the neutral jump does get punished from uh igers here nice got the poison on punk punk burns out just to buy a little bit of time but it didn't pan out that's going to be level three oh no not quite uhoh might have been a kill maybe after that hit too well it right there towards the end right you you know you have death or death is knocking on Punk's door so you may as well just send it out with that level one you're going to get a level one your next round anyway mhm yeah and yeah especially if your opponent only has one uh level one super you can kind of spend whatever you need to spend especially just to close it out and make sure that you're guaranteeing the set or at least if you go one round up it's a pretty big deal okay but right now punk retaliating KO reached a perfect round my God always very interest to see Chun Le be aggressive she's just doesn't seem like she's supposed to be but then you start blocking those medium points like wait a minute what is this hard yeah certainly used to seeing more just like the passive style of Chun leene really challenge out and then follow with an excellent combo but this aggression especially against Aki like it's so effective against her because Aki doesn't have anything to fight back with unless she spends level one so it's it's a foolproof plan for Punk right now definitely setting a trap there with that kick that Whi okay I see what you're up to maybe that was a misinput but I think that that was meant to be like a counter poke like if you happen to press that standing IM medium punch that every oy player does he might hold this good awareness here from Punk especially in the neutral matchup against Aki like a very unseen character um gosh we didn't get one qualify for capup if I'm remembering correctly here uh to be fair though Aki did come out kind of late compared to the season true true true true not that it would have mattered it would probably just been more luk yeah that was a big wave of luks there nice got the follow up here spinning bird to carry over to the corner one more time tries to reapply poison nice cross under and still able to follow through the explosion not quite able to get the follow yeah is punk going to spend the level two yeah I think the level two is coming for sure it's going to be an extension here that's safe that's safe not going to work out I don't know if ose was hoping for the chip out but uh yeah that was definitely not going to pan out one of CH Le's biggest strengths is that situation after the level two straight into the jump but elig Goose retaliating with the drive impact very good able to apply some damage over to with poison ends the route a little bit early so don't have to cuz she does have a corner carry route that she can get thanks to that uh poison over time but Elder consistently just lets that linger do the damage for you instead of trying to put yourself in danger nice call out again yeah eler Goose two for two on the drive impacts this round has all the all the resources got the poison on punk punk cannot afford to get hit so Punk just wakes up with the crouching light punch makes sense she might as well right yeah absolutely oh that one oh the drive oh no oh my goodness drops it no no back off and let their opponent uh you know kind of get themselves into trouble yeah do is one of the like you it doesn't seem like it but he has like a very Bulldog style when it comes to Camy and generally he will explode randomly that's the thing you don't know when it's going to come but you also can't over extend as you saw when Whi that Fierce instantly big whiff punish into death very good DP there such a low point but the second dive kick coming through here oh nice challenge light kick wow oh but dropped a little bit early there yeah that that should have been like the perfect followup to get the corner carry for o though yeah straight into the level three here this going to be pretty big for Jo Rogan D is sitting on that three bars now it is C right now Joe needs to find a way to close this out before D can get any kind of clean hit oh you want okay go nice throw yeah unfortunately the the Rous don't really get another follow up after you do get the better positioning but yeah at least uh that does actually set quite the message too for uh Umar there nice fish out punish counter cross light punch into the stand Fierce yeah you you see these micro adjustments here in spacing from dud it's very dangerous for Joe Morgan to press anything yeah like every single step that we're taking is just to put Cammy just barely outside the range of Luke but within a perfect spot for duck to get that wh pun so efficient especially with the dive kick yeah definitely keeping that as a threat so Joe doesn't throw too many Fireballs which is pretty much all Joe can do either that or approach is equally dangerous I like this game plan here for the D oh wow yeah big follow up there cuz even oh the jum does get the dive kick does get the Finish knuckled do has even been like the moment that Joe ran wants to sit back and relax and try to let knuckle do uh wait and kind of linger knuckle tries to get Joan to interact by just taking a single step all right cool I'm going to jab and take the step back maybe take a throw so it's constantly messing with the decision making that Joe uman has and it's just straight Confidence from Knuck in this round I mean talk about limiting your opponent's options right but Joe I think overall it's been pretty even it's just those key situations that do is capitalizing on I think Jo Rogan can kind of just make some small adjustments here it should make a big difference as I say that does a DI into perfect Parry position we get just out oh very good jump out here though from Joe overan oh yeah you see the charge there the wh punish it's going to be a lot of damage is still going to spend the level two yeah there comes the level two typically this is not a super you're going to see as often but there those situations where it's just enough damage to where it's like yeah might as well we talked about this to to guarantee and secure the first round it's typically worth it especially if your opponent doesn't have too much bar themselves exactly knock at the door nice throw that's kick yeah that Conant conditioning too just I get a dash up single jab and then I'm going to threaten a throw after the fact because we do see knuckle still attempting that right the single knock with the jab backs off and tries to force an interaction from Joe but but nice side swap Joe looking a little worse for wear on resources yeah see the dive kicks now are coming out more and more Joe's not sure what to an here it's kind of tricky I think nck is a little bit of a beat on this Joe tries to fierce but nuck is not there to back dash you see the spacing awareness oh my goodness it's going to be a lot of damage again oh that's a drop y that is a very rare drop from two especially considering how knuckle do just won TNS 9 a combo drop like that is pretty huge yeah these things happen it to the best of us yeah oh those buffers what a threat a single CA could seal the deal here so we have to be very careful yeah oh my God yeah yeah yeah I was going to say once you block that it's kind of over yeah and no do yeah again with the brilliant awareness right just like yeah if you block this you're done and I don't even know if Joe was uh really considering that part but it's just so hard to stop cammy's approach especially when when you're in Burnout yeah it it's the terrifying fact that we had the buffer for level three we're waiting for either a dive kick or even just an aggressive approach from do and that's the moment we backed off and unfortunately was the moment that dude decided to take advantage of it and in this round still running with that momentum and you've seen a lot of that too dude just dive kicking at the perfect time or at least placing these these dive kicks in these approaches in situations where Joel has to give a response that you mentioned do kind of um forcing Joe to give a response by changing the the space seeing in this in the micro movements and Joe doesn't really have any clean answers anymore you see that Joe walking away D just holding forward this time kind of hard to to guess what D is going to be oh nice little Frank with the light kick was that throw oh my God how do you know like you got the new type alert going on every single time you go for the diek goodness I'm telling you man it's it's enticing Joe to do something and once Joe there just looking for any kind of forward movement but again once you start impacting like that from forward movement it's very easy for mer to take advantage of it there Fireball no DP yeah just hops over actually that range was pretty good I don't know if the DP would have reached the perfect carry from neutral wait is this third strike what's going on yeah interesting you see there we go now now we're looking like a million dollars okay there in the forward throw yeah there we go so Naji gets in and again M's one of one of her biggest weaknesses is she has to level two that's the only thing that's detering the opponent from just throwing over and over again so it's very tough because even her back dash won't work to punish to throw after it wh true trying to sneak it up throw there bars that's TR just spent on that throw prar good attack the walk down got to be super careful to cross kick is a threat I feel that tension building as you get to that range in the mid screen and you're really jocking for position great Gladius here yeah that was a big chunk on the Gladius nice medium kick able to cancel to level one yes straight to level one yeah we talked about this hard to keep for out but Vera is sitting on three bars right now I to be honest with you whenever I have three rounds on the last round of Vera I kind of feel like I've really won so we'll see I you know what I I totally I get it because it's snowball so fast she has all the tools in her Arsenal to put on a world of her and this level three is a great start for Strider here corner position good chunk of damage there but the DP there yeah Naji just says you know what I don't feel like guessing here you're guessing goes to the back throw actually in a really good situation right now Naji yeah one low forward can do it okay need a punish counter to get a follow up nice challenge with the Crouch medium kick lows every time and it's chipping away at strider's Heth we got to be careful yeah Strider now just trying to go off to the drive gauge but it might be a little late for that the impact nice yeah Naji is cleaned up showing exactly why this a million dollar character are you seeing the control and this is the matchup as well right Strider spending that level three early on I my first instinct was I don't know man I mean I get that you need something right now but if it works out it works out Naji just bet everything on a DP and ifed that it would have been a different story totally agree here and what's interesting is that Naji every single time a filx comes out we're leaning more towards dve impact that's that is a move that jury can DP but to your point slcd that lever lless right being able to walk forward and still get that fance like it's so terrifying you're not going to be ready for it you have to know that she's going to put it out there yeah the biggest issue with the DP uh with jury is that you need way more inputs especially if you're walking back that's a lot of times when you see Mera players throw it out there yeah he saw this trying to try to hop over with the failings as you mentioned but takes quite some time to become airborne and this is going to be the round for sure unless there's a drop there it is Naji going up at s point I was very worried once this on the for uh bece like wait a minute DOI please don't drop this right now oh the DP this time yeah not the cross F this time as you mentioned before no DP maybe Naji does have the stream on oh attempts to wh punish but not quite there yeah okay nothing there from Naji doesn't want to in that close range it's almost like you're in fighting a boxing right where you have to hold your breath while you're qualifier here this is not top eight it's Punk versus Cava yeah and I'm surprised to see Punk uh pick in this one so I you know what maybe Punk is just hopping characters that could be what's happening here maybe you know we we saw the error right towards uh you know one of the previous um Capcom cups where Punk post Capcom cup was like all right cool let me explore and then get ready for that Following season and it's a great time to do it yeah that is true and worth mentioning too if there's any if there's ever any player that you don't want to pick random characters on especially if the match up is not good for you cabba is definitely on the list you don't want to mess around with this guy this guy is no joke yeah absolutely very quickly uh solidified their place in Street Fighter 6 with this gu oh nice max range on that drive reversal that's a good little hit by that just cuz you're holding down back looking for the plastic looking for a reason to use your charge a lot of the times that charge will you mental stack yourself just by holding charge yeah and even still there's a little bit of fear right of just wait if that if you're holding down back if I put out that drive impact are you going to let it rip whatever you're charging cuz that's a quick shift to flash kick if you're holding that down back even that is true but sometimes that plastic might come out too early and that might be a problem there's the risk yeah great spot to be right now for okay always yeah yeah punk is just one of those guys man it's always like Co he's he's playing Kimberly and also his Kimberly's Legend why I don't know why he could get this but he's playing Kimberly and his Kimberly's Legend So what it is there's some things that just always absolute in this world that's one you know pun for playing all the characters nice I like the aerial scenario either yeah again you know Punk plays so many characters just because Punk doesn't really play the characters Punk kind of plays punk and utilizes the tools that the characters have to play as close to what he wants to do as possible right oh nice one step further able to get that throw stay safe the dve rush tries to bait out with throw but Caba not B for does get the flash kick opens up overhead into level three that's going to be a lot of damage here all right and now punk on the verge of getting burnt out just goes ahead and does it himself Flash from oh wow Kaa bet it all on you and you really have to try to defend actively you're going you know to navigate the screen space don't put yourself in position for a flash kick you get the overhead Punk can actually close this this from Punk too punk has not doubted the jumps at all just kind of taking the chances over and over again I that's kind of how you fight especially if you don't have really good options in neutral but the jumps have been generally happening in good spots and punk just not getting deterred see that right as I say Comba has had enough charging the level three says keep your butt on the floor said yeah I mean so we saw two of those early on right in this tournament with uh with Ed with a lot of the the level ones coming out of nowhere and that's the second time I've seen it's way more likely though that makes way more sense we see G players do that and just kind of like flashing when they think you're going to move so maybe it was just like a hard read but very strange place to do it for sure it's okay we're not the DJ players complex knows what's up right right it's the pressure it's the pressure you know I feel intimidated by this Camy M man for sure cleaned up a bit there but throw Tech it's been pretty good defense here from Mo man overall it's just those straight hits have been leading to a lot okay extension ni right yeah round Mo I do like that uh that patience that we are seeing for moan though now like really trying to let complex fall into some of these mistakes and picking and choosing our battles a little bit more carefully as opposed to trying to throw out these spin Knuckles Time and Time what a jab yeah I also like the call out there from Moth Man noticing that complex has been walking back a lot on the first button Goes The Cross by Kick definitely paying attention oh my goodness almost almost side switch this is bad here mman has to be super careful the DP gets outes the flip out there so you're still able to pressure nice little Okie situation for complex nice that was oh yeah once again complex is sitting at set point fireal arsal AR o nice conversion stand medium punch stand light punch especially that back range Fierce could have been far worse you didn't have you know enough resources in terms of Drive gauge to close it out complex spending level three right away going for the big three Heavies straight into level three evens it out mostly goes for the impact oh I didn't think compx would go for it at all this time the jump oh ohow no punish there it's getting scrambly yeah it sure is dude that burnout State not quite going to get the chip out if we go for level three but the dive kick connect you got this goodness yeah that's going to be two two moth man gets the dive kick complex dropping the combo in the corner finally gets the Jump by the way finally gets the jump drops the combo after that's very unfortunate all the time a little fooling around but this time when you try to take it seriously it's still tied up two all right now in the set mhm and yeah and right now this both these players are fighting I'm not mistaken for a slot in top eight yes this is uh you know a one more loser step there actually a couple games away before they can make it to top eight but this is uh down to the wire here for the top 48 losers so we have cook in here the DP wow I can't believe we got the jump in there roundhouse is level three this is huge yes does burn up though no it doesn't but I mean hey we are like One Touch Away got it there no DP DP yeah but complex doesn't go for the level three and immediately presses the crotch a medium kick Mo man takes it three to two with the clean up on the game play that was sick but yeah I mean another great match up here to start off the winner side of top eight is going to be Cammy from knuckle do this time it's going to be Camy makes sense um Naji already you know just beat just got off beating uh 81 Strider but it's already shown how strong this jury can be but no do yeah explanation needed there let's get away out of the I can't believe the spiral Arrow I wake up after the fua install okay oh yeah that's going to be a throw for sure at that point you may as well drive Rush yeah absolutely if you're caught lingering your opponent does that jump at that height with nothing out of it drive rush for sure that is weird though would you drive Rush where your opponent is now where they were actually don't know I think it's going to be where they were cuz now you just don't flip right like you're locked into that spot so you have to tap forward regardless it or if you can end up in a in a little bit of a better advant agous offensive situation turns out better most of the time but again here's the corner oh this Yeah medium kick for you what a trade the Crouch spear not going to work out go straight into the level one wants the burnout to be mutual smart idea here but does spend the bomb all right overhead mix oh no basic level one but you have to navigate the fireball so I can't believe the rush got challenged that's it that's guaranteed that very fortunate for psycho yeah it was it was that there was a little bit of luck uh luck involved difficulty in trying to approach cabba like cabba has set up so many scenarios where there's a 50% life lead it's not even been like off of a close-range combo just been whittling away with a lot of the zoning that we're playing here he mentioned just littering the screen with booms and Noah instantly starting to run with an OD Fireball but it's it's not really working out you see it's it's a slow burn but Noah is losing more health over time so interesting we almost never see any uh Sonic Blade in this match up in particular um so far to at least set up that wall between cabba and Luke here yeah ca's just going to hold this the level two from Luke has no range at all it's not going to matter yeah just watch that corner spot espe so if we can chip the uh Health away while we're in Burnout yeaha just willing to take the back throw there but no oh the lucky on the on the um heavy knuckle just happens this is going to be a chunk of damage I'm not going to lie to you this is going health this burnout means nothing to Noah with a neutral jump can't believe it yeah I mean man burns out so much like I said it's right he's right at home whenever he's burnt out so it's kind of hard that just how solid nephew and punk are there're not too many openings for you to even attack exactly you're seeing the design of the character play out and do very interesting styles on top of it like the way that nephew plays in this very long range style and just puls you in was able to kind of pressure that way like play in the traditional sense of what they maybe envisioned Ed playing as whereas Punk is that more Rush down like in your face kind of style with Ed oh gosh and we go yeah instantly yeah Noah fighting back this time he's not the one who was burnt out goes up one round yeah no Noah is going to have to he has quite a long path in front of him he's going to make this comeback because nephew hasn't been giving him too many opportunities so he kind of has to play very clean and maybe pull out some tricks she's nice back step calls out the jab oh there you all okay oh okay so that's a bait some tricks yeah that's a pretty decent trick there you can't yeah if you don't yeah no kidding only a week of of Ed at this point well a couple weeks at this point yeah interesting I would love to see the counter play as uh as this meta develops but so far it's looking like a lot of standard play you know it's very nephew likee har definitely to the death there yeah I mean I do like to see the the challenge with flicker we're not seeing a whole lot of psycho shoot um which is that additional Fireball after spark but spark still challenging some of these Sonic bones yeah a lot a lot of it is uh maybe not wanting to rely on it because B's able to approach after the fact cuz the boom's get you pretty late two will CCH up tremendously here look at the dve gone see that combo though that is a projectile you do not get to level one good here mhm good St there from that view yeah it's one of those things G's biggest weakness as far as like reversing especially if you're burnt out you need to be sure you have to use level three right because if you're level one you lose projectiles level two is an install so it does nothing so you have to spend level three that's a pretty big deal level two to challenge right off the rip here to try to get a stagger let's go with the Parry yeah he's in and he's out yeah I like that oh that's big damage that's going to be straight into level three but drops it pretty uncharacteristic of knuckle in this uh bracket just Dro some very critical moments but do still able to close it out one all in the set yeah so far so good both these these Titans scrapping right now mm medium kick anti very nice wh punish with the St Pierce mhm sway into throw look at the damage output that Ed has alone just off of an easy like anti pickup oh but dropped yeah his damage is quite good as access to it that's the question right and I think a lot of what a lot of what he does is he sets you up these situations where you have to give him a response and then once you do he can smoke you just like this he delayed for throw again I bet instantly has the VP on De if I even see you twitch the wrong way you're holding this this guy just too cool I mean just invulnerability right through the Fireball and Anime like he just Bobs the weaves underneath it that's so cool yep yeah oh my goodness yeah in instantly B the BP again they've been so good holds it makes you watch it and then pulls you in all right nephew round two to one this is definitely the highlight of the night so far just being able to watch nephew really put in a lot of work with Ed here nice I can't believe we were able to Target combo like the jab series into Target comos very good yeah this is the best understanding of Ed that I've watched in in person um overall I think again like when I watch Punk play Ed it doesn't look like Ed it just looks like Punk right right but this looks like I'm watching Ed's game plan being applied and I'm actually very I'm very impressed by what Ed is doing right now trying to go for the kill rush back step perfect was to in my head is actually the case you see a lot of you see a lot of nephews setting up the situations getting the responses and then being prepared for what might come that's how this character seems to be designed it's very I mean Capcom puts some thought into this yeah no doubt like that is and they do try to lead you on that path like I said earlier in that character God is trying to describe you this is like how this character kind of wants to play comfortably but to see this style like really shine through nephew's hands right now absolutely aming see great and out box are well designed I've never seen this before in a fighting game I'm not going to lie to you I'm actually loving this good Dart in there the challenge now we're going for spark I like the back R so we go for spark that first initial hit does shut down Fireballs he can send out the fireball after to go for the shoot got challenged slow this time oh challenges with the jab but yeah dude jumps out one still part of it land instantly the O boom and he's going to take that and go two to two all right we have a we have a scrapper here boys yeah and I yeah I don't think nephew is going to switch you're feeling too good two that pug would just quick use three jabs back off and try to go uh knuckle Doom to going for those dive kicks there this level three wrapping things up for the first game going Punk yep yeah and that looked even more convincing than when D was playing Cami I mean it may just be D having to fight find his bearings I guess um all over again cuz playing quite a bit but um right now it's looking what happens when you're at a level this high and with characters this good and Punk with the reaction this nowhere close to over though yeah no kidding oh never mind maybe it is punk with the DP ready for that we'll be seeing a lot more of those right we saw a nephew pull out quite a few of those with the reactions for the sonic boom and yeah Punk's showing the same thing perfect perfect boom good perfect parry and still just very consistently walk down not even giving anti opportunities too often except for this interaction here yeah and I mean no could do instantly adjust right just holding down back a lot more now we saw this last time with punk you he's not he's not going to stop jumping at gal just because he got flast kicked twice that's not enough for that big hail Mary hit really trying to get knuckle D to open up here in this corner like we might be charging but every single knock at the door no goes straight for the level one it's a pretty good spot to be in for d it's looking like noo is probably going to do this and the Flash kick and that is a bracket reset knuckle do is going to be sending Punk to losers and they're going to have to fight this out again in for them and it's been just a little bit more locked in on the defensive uh pressure from not only just Sonic booms but calling out a lot of these jumpins here from do I mean this is a typical gal
