Strapcode Options for the Orient Kamasu, aka Mako 3

hi this is mark from Long Island watch calm and today we're gonna get into the accessory that you've probably been waiting for or maybe you didn't even know you were waiting for it for your orient comma su watch or the make of 3i as its dubbed in other parts of the world before we get into a guys please like and subscribe to the channel there's a little subscribe button on the bottom and a bell I can't hit it so you know when good stuff is coming and following an Instagram I show stuff like this on Instagram before it goes to video so strap code has answered the call and they've come up with two bracelets for the Orient comma soo a super oh and a super J if you know what I mean I will show them to you uh put each on the watch I have a blue and a black comma so here for you for my own wrist check I did switch things up a bit I have gone with my master forty and blue and then you might tell where's the Islander don't worry still here hanging out on the other there we go hanging out on the other wrist I you know when you put a watch on your dominant risks I'm a lefty on your dominant wrist it tends to get banged around more and it's funny you bang this thing around the steel might get scuffed a bit but the bezel and insert nothing really happens to her at the inserts ceramic I bang this around which it's got a couple of dings in it already the freaking bezels platinum so it already has a couple of dings on it I'm trying to minimize those because I hear if you want your platinum bezel refinished by Rolex it is a pretty pretty penny so I'd rather not do that although you know signs of life are okay on it let's go over and check out what chocolate is done for the Orion kama soo so here is the Orient kama sue or some people calling them the Mako three a while back they're released in 2019 upgraded with sapphire and then some different hands and indices reminisce I guess of the Mako USA but still hollow end links and regular cotter pins or friction pins for the for the bracelet links it's nice sign clasps so strap code is the company that you know that's been answering the call for upgraded bracelets for watch modest for a very long time and and they did just come out with two new braces for these watches they have a very interesting I guess product lineup you know a lot of their bracelets it's the same bracelet they just swap out the end links and it's a new product it's really genius cuz they don't exactly sell the end link separately either so they're forcing to buy a new bracelet every time but we have the super J and we have the super oh now it did take a little while for them to develop and you got to think you know how do they do this well they actually have to buy a couple of watches measure them up do some statistical you know measuring as it were figure out an average and then design a bracelet around it you just can't go to Orange say give me your case design because it doesn't really happen it's not like in the phone industry where you know Samsung is releasing a new phone and they give everybody a dummy sample no companies that are gonna develop accessories for it and say here you have to fit to this they don't do that so anyway so they both come on the same bracelet both of these guys it's just standard three link bracelet so I'm going to do is I will just do maybe I don't know honestly I know why people do who's got the screws and more micro adjustment on it but it's kind of like the same look I understand it is a better bracelet but anyway I'll do the oyster excuse me I did it don't tell anybody I'll do the super Oh on the blue one I'll do the super J on this black one I guess I'll do one quickly for you on camera you see me do it a bunch of times guys it's really easy to flip the watch over you get a strap changing tool such as this one you know reach in here doing on-camera is now is always exciting let you go pop it out and then you're gonna reach in with the other one I just can't have no depth perception on camera and I'm gonna grab the shoulder pull it backwards and hopefully the it pops out like that joining the two is basically just doing the reverse so you find the six o'clock end of the brace which is always give me the one with the fold-over clasp here you'll flip it over the strap code comes with a pin just captivated with under that little green cap you see you just feed the pin through and you're just reversing whoops I can't see anything he is reversing you know what you did before and do it on camera because I said before it's not always the easiest you slide the end link in and of course you get the tool in the way and you can rest the bar on the lug and let's see if I can get I think that one's in it should just be this one oops again very difficult give people that do this stuff on camera credit and no it wasn't in so it popped through the other end I will just reach in I will grab it down and I will seat it in and give it a little jiggle give a little pull and it's in so sorry about that and pull out of it that's how it looks I'll do the other end and I'll show you the finished product and there is the finished product looks great integrates great just like all leather strap codes to solid end links screws for the bracelet nice 1 to 6 position micro adjustment flip lock double push button milled clasp great looking I think it by 85 bucks or so I and it just really compared to the other one the cheapy with the folded over clasp that's not milled it really is a substantial upgrade but in looks it kind of looks the same as the as the other Oh bracelet that's on that watch so it's an upgrade really in quality feel and heft let's do the black one now and see how she looks with the super J on it and there is the super J on the kama so it works great I love that you know the central extra polish adds a little bit of shine to an otherwise great-looking watch side-by-side they look terrific it's a great upgrade again you know I've had this discussion with some customers before and you know granted the bracelet is 30 to 40% the price watch I get it but it really elevates it you know if you consider to be the watch as silly as this sounds worth the price you paid for it I mean a commis who's really worth far more than you pay for it in a branded watch like a brand they might see the department store I mean they're easily 2
