Straight Piped Peterbilt 389 Headed to Wisconsin POV View

[Music] welcome back to the channel guys all right so today we're going to try something different I've been thinking and thinking and thinking I'm like man what else can I post besides loading and unloading and all that stuff um I've read a couple comments and I seen some of you guys want to do like POV views like you know views of the dash be uh going through gears and all that stuff so that's what we're going to do today all right um I just finished loading here in Flint Michigan with my brother as you guys can see right here my brother right there there we are all loaded up ready to go we are headed back to Wisconsin it's a good looking load right here six little small units that's about it so but yeah guys today I am going to do a POV View video of uh me driving you know and I'm going to let it go till the camera runs out of battery so stay tuned and I'll catch you guys in a bit all right guys so we are back we are getting ready to take off let's air the front end up to about still some still 50 at it there you go all [Music] right [Music] raise my bumper so we do have a Yukon over the hood and that thing is pretty heavy all [Music] right all right let's [Music] roll [Music] so we got some trees over here on the right so I just want to stay to my left make sure we don't catch that [Music] just waiting on my brother to pull out where is he I got to make it right here so isn't pulled out yet all right he's pulling out now [Applause] so so yeah guys I'm I'm just going to let this run till my camera dies and uh hope for the best you [Applause] know just so you guys have an idea of what it is to drive something like this you know uh it's a little bit different than a regular semi you got a lot of sear weight and uh a little wobble here and there but uh you get used to it [Music] so going to swing wide right here so as you guys can see I cannot see the green light so I kind of got to look at my hood right here you kind you kind you see the reflection off the hood so CL my brother right [Applause] there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] going to crack the windows a little bit I mean it's a little chilly out there so but yeah we got my brother with me um so we are currently right now sitting at 141 is on height so I know I'm good all the way through there is a 143 Bridge coming up which I I usually always stay to my left just because it's 143 on the right lane so but as you guys can see me jerking the wheel to the left and right a little bit um you know it's just heavy it's pretty heavy up front so and especially when you have a Yukon over the Hood um any minor wind or whatever kind of pushes you around so you kind of want to keep it in between the lanes you know so as you guys notice I got my phone right here um I can actually see what uh what you guys are seeing just want to make sure I'm getting the right angles and stuff since I can't see the screen on the [Music] GoPro [Music] so the visibility is not that bad um I mean only when you're at a red light or something like that you can't see it so I just like I said I just go off the reflection on the hood of the truck and uh I'm able to go on green just put the window up a little bit I mean so you guys can see hear me because this thing's pretty loud so yeah we just left Flint right now uh we woke up like at 700 in the morning I had to go grab a I had to go grab two cars down in Detroit at the auction and then uh drove an hour up north here to Flint to grab the rest of my vehicles so see like this bridge right here coming up it's 1411 so we have no issues but there is one Bridge it's 143 and even though I'm lower than 143 I just like to hit the left lane um just to be on the safe side so but comment Down Below guys what do you think about this view I mean what it uh what goes through your mind I want to know what goes through your mind what do you guys think about this I mean I never get tired of this view I've been doing it for 12 13 years already I mean hey it's been a while already so got a car coming up on my right side here so I always I mean I was trying to keep my eyes on on on my mirrors just you know always looking around if you see the camera just looking around that's just cuz I'm just making sure there's nobody on my right side here and making sure I have nobody around see I got a car driving by me so I'm always cautious man I'm always looking around um just making sure who's around me so but driving a car hauler is a little different than uh just a regular semi in my opinion because uh you got all this steer weight up front so it's always like you know it's a little uh just rocks a little bit you know so it's a great day today over here in Michigan man uh last week was it last week uh no not not actually this week that uh just rolled by I got uh got hit with some snow on Tuesday most of the day and it freaking sucked man it it was terrible but uh and it was pretty cool it came down to like 28° and then now it's actually like at probably 40 right now but it was earlier today was like in the 50s so it's that time of year guys where it gets freaking cold and kind of start hating life you know you see I got a I got a bunch of cars here on my left so I kind of want to always keep my eye on whoever's around me and make sure that that I'm not going to run into them they're not going to run into me you know just got to try to keep it in the lanes and and these Michigan roads man are terrible terrible lot of uh a lot of messed up roads here potholes you know uneven roads terrible a lot of construction going on I've been running this route for the past 3 years and I haven't seen anything change yet you know there there's some construction work going on on um on 69 and it's it's a little better but not all that great you know and we don't even want to talk about Chicago Chicago is tore up it's like every week you drive through here and you're like all right this this spot is a little better but then you keep driving and then it just gets all messed up again and all right so you see my brother he's uh merging over the left lane that's where we got this bridge here this for uh 143 Bridge so I kind of want to switch lanes here and it's just uh this bridge has like an arc to it and the right lane is 143 so we cleared it keep rolling or we can just bounce back to the right lane and just hang out here I roll my window down so you guys can see what he got on his truck [Applause] man that thing is super loud it's like an annoying loud I don't know the thing is he always keeps it he's like bogging a truck out or something I'm like dude let that thing eat you know you got to let that thing eat these trucks have 293 rear ends so you kind of got I mean it's cruising speed is like 73 74 you know in 18th gear if uh if you drop it down to like 70 M hour it kind of like bugs you know so you got let it eat he's still not used to all that big Power though you know but yeah man it's a beautiful night out here in Michigan thankfully no rain no snow yet so that bridge we just passed had an arc to it but uh it's like 151 so I've ran through here so many times that I know where every pajoe is at where every bridge is at I mean you just just get used to it you know [Music] especially with this air ride I mean this air ride is uh it rides good it's like it's super smooth like a Cadillac but when you got weight on the front it's just uh not that it's s or anything like that but it does feel different than uh just driving a regular car hauler with a leaf springs up front you know when you're on air everything just feels so smooth and it just Glides so smooth you guys see my steering wheel moving and it's just that's that's just the suspension just you know going like this so but this air ride man uh 100% the one of the best mods done you know cuz these trucks they have triple leaf springs up front and uh it just gets so stiff like my brother's truck is not on air ride and he must you know he must hate life but every time he catches a just a pothole or something like that it just you know it hit there's a bang you know so when you're on air it's a whole different ball game it just rides so smooth and it just Glides so smooth it's amazing so as you can see my airbags right here my gauges they go up and down you know 50 48 49 like right now I'm coming into a little curb right here so this one like at 47 48 you know they're always like just uh just dodging every B hole you know [Music] I'm sure you guys will be able to hear the turbo whistle this thing this Turbo's pretty loud it's pretty loud it's a Bor Warner uh I'm pretty sure it's a 78 mm with a 132 housing might be a 78 or 80 that's a Full Tilt uh ceramic coated manifold injectors marine cam this truck's pretty fun to drive it just rides so smooth man I mean I don't know it's it's crazy but uh I know before uh but the the front air ride does a huge difference huge difference for the for those of you guys wondering you know that I know know I've had people ask me about the air ride and stuff um it's a literally a night and day difference between the the the ride quality and all that stuff man it's just my brother drove this truck the other day and he's like man that thing rides so smooth compared to you know you can feel it you'll feel it like uh if you jump from a truck with stock stock suspension and to a truck like this with front air IDE and you'll feel it right away right away so as you can see like I just took these uh just came up on a little Bridge here and like nothing you know see my brother's way back there he's got to let it eat man he's got to let it eat so like right now I'm doing 66 67 but I got I dropped the gear so I'm not you know it's not struggling these trucks with this gear ratio they you got to let them eat they they got to go so e a so one other thing I like to keep an eye on is my my uh pyro gauge which is your EGT gauge just make sure it doesn't get too hot right now it's like 850 which is fine I try not to let it go over like 950 or so you know but this truck runs pretty cool anyways doesn't get that warm always just got to keep an eye on all your gauges and stuff make sure everything's good you know your uh your air air gauges your oil temp water water temp oil PSI is really important so I was just you know try to keep an eye on everything that's right here so right now we got an 18th gear right now and you see I'm doing like 75ish 74 you know if I go below 70 M hour I drop a gear just so it won't bot so this truck is a little different as you guys those guys those those of you that know this is a 359 Dash um it's a conversion you know uh this is a 389 with 359 Dash and it is a little different than your original 359 Dash the way the switches are and the gauges and stuff like that what sucks is the radio is way over there on the other side of the dash and you got your uh parking brakes and stuff like that on the other side of the dash your PTO you got your uh PTO you got your over lift over there differential lock all that stuff on that side so kind of got to reach over there and grab it so one thing you got to look out for around this time of year is deer a lot of deer out here it's actually deer season over here so um just got to be careful they literally just come out of nowhere and if you're not paying attention you will smoke a deer so oh look I got Billy calling me see what Billy wants throw my headset on let's see hold on you hear me oh you can't hear me wait a minute yo there you go I can't hear you you got to fix your Bluetooth there you go I can hear you now what's up were you uh you already dropped your uh girl off at the airport okay okay what time was your flight oh yeah nice yeah I saw you this morning we took off like at 7: in the morning oh were you yeah yeah I try I try not to make so much noise I want I don't want to wake you yeah who my my brother when uh this yeah this morning oh was you did you get there first at my brother oh I didn't even notice that I was probably awake oh no I was like I was like I was like I was like half asleep already when he pulled up next to me so but I I didn't even hear you roll in oh yeah yeah that's why I got I got to go to lens uh me and my brother got to go to lens oh okay yeah know we got my whole loads goes lens so I mean I'm my brother's just being a little and doesn't want to just want to hit it all the way so yeah um we're we're coming up to laning right now yeah he's like no I don't want I don't want to drive through the night there's so many deers and this and that yeah I don't know we'll see how far we make it I mean uh we took off a little while ago so I don't know how far we're going to make it oh the whole load um yeah my next look at a med wave so yeah that yeah that's like uh that's pretty big it's like a size of a dur angle yeah man that's that's pretty how many how many in total nine in total jeez I don't know I don't know yeah oh okay yeah yeah probably all right guys that's it for this video my camera literally died so uh you know I just read through your guys' comments and I just kind of want to do what you guys are asking for I know you guys were asking for a POV video which is what I did today and I hope you guys enjoyed it man you know the loading and unloading videos get a little boring at least for me I had plenty of those on the channel which uh if you guys are interested in that you guys can watch my previous videos of loading the truck and unloading the truck um but I just want to try different things
