if you're still playing reroll hellions that build is absolutely trash make sure to stick around if you want to know how to play headlines the right way what is up gamers this is steve back with another episode of get game smart today we are going to be taking a look at the popular hellion revenant build that is currently dominating the ranked ladders after patch 11.11 so this is a a look at what your your final composition is going to look like it's it's five hellions where you're not running the the ziggs because the ziggs is just an item holder for your teemo um and then you add to that the the very popular trio of hymen dinger uh ivern and volley bear um which all all three of which got buffed in 11.11 i guess so this this build is going to be even stronger than it was um but it was definitely the the best way to play uh hellions previously so just a quick uh quick shout out the the reason that this top four rate is so low is because so many players were playing the re-roll hellion build um so prior to like even prior to the buffs that this built build just got uh when when you hit the teemo you were top fouring like 60 of the time so uh this build is really strong guys and it is like by far the the best way to play the the hellion comp as far as itemization goes we're really going to prioritize getting the two different types of static shifts onto our zigs that will eventually transfer over to our teemo as well as a jeweled gauntlet so other items that are really good in this build the canon items are actually pretty important the marella nomicon or shadow merlinomicon is really really strong on canon uh and ga is also quite a good item on canon as well uh chalice and aura items onto lulu makes sense and yeah uh secondary items for for hymer would be good or tank items for for volley bear as far as when to play this build guys it's really not something you can force and you need hellions in your shop in order to play it so i would say the minimum requirements would be um three hellions and at least one hellion pair at 2 1 to consider playing this and what you should do at 2-1 if you don't have a two-star hellion is you should actually roll it two-one and then four go going to level four until two if if it's required uh but it's really really important that you two star a hellion and have helians out at two one if you're looking to play this composition bonus points if you have a static shift a slam or a jeweled gauntlet to slam onto your zigs the priority on carousel for this is definitely the bow a bow is first priority over anything except for a ziggs with a blue buff or a tear sorry so the way that we play this composition is really counter-intuitive and it's basically the complete reverse of how you would play the heli and reroll um so after donkey rolling at 2-1 to to hit your two-star hellion uh it's basically all about just pushing levels and activating more text basically so in the example game here i actually go up to level 5 at 2 3 which is super aggressive but i basically just want to be sure that i can continue to win streak this is a pretty aggressive lobby and i i don't have the best item slammed uh to ensure wind streaking and this is a build that you very very much want to be win streaking with the whole point of running the hellions composition is that they're extremely strong in the early game and so we're trying to leverage that by having a very like clean early game basically win streaking for econ and uh and surviving the the late game because the reality is there are still compositions that will beat this in the late game so we just want to make sure that we prioritize winning as hard as we can in the early game the way that we're going to do that is each time we level up basically we're going to be hoping hoping to throw in a uh a new trait so the the priority basically is helium 3 helium 5 those are great break points but in between that if you don't have the lulu or you don't have the the canon then we're going to want to prioritize spellweaver and then after spellweaver we're going to want to prioritize night and then after night we're going to want to prioritize cavalier and in an ideal situation we should have victor thresh and heckroom filling these three three spots and that's going to give us with only six units for example uh poppy kled and ziggs plus victor uh thresh and heckroom that's six units so at level six uh we can have five traits active which is absolutely mind boggling it it's so freaking strong guys you have to try it out um unfortunately in the example game we did not have uh a heck room right off the bat and we have a sejuani filling that gap in and we there's a number of helium players in the lobby so we haven't hit five hellion yet but this is still an extremely strong mid game board guys that is is pretty much the the reason this whole thing works so well as far as piloting the mid game goes we should pretty much abandon the normal leveling patterns and we should be looking to level basically anytime we're able to um so i'm actually going up to level seven at three two here which is super aggressive i went to level six at three one uh which is kind of normal if you're wind streaking uh the way i was i have a perfect win streak currently but going to level 7 at 3-2 is really quite nutty um but the reality is you need to keep wind streaking with this build or you don't need to but it's it's really in your best interest too and pushing levels is so important because a it's going to let us eventually get to the get to the point where we're rolling for our our higher cost units uh we run three legendary comps or three legendary champions in this build um but it also like gives us like we have a a good tech pretty much every rung of the ladder every time we level up we're putting in something that is making our board substantially stronger which is going to ensure that we're continuing to win streak so i'm not saying don't econ but this is a build where we're basically looking to we're we're basically looking to be a level ahead of everybody at all times pretty much or as often as possible um so yeah definitely definitely don't be afraid to to level up and basically play this the opposite way that you would play a hellion re-roll we are not looking to three-star any of our units which is pretty wild for a lot of people that have played hellions but yeah it's it's more important that we get to this late game build and we get teemo in reliably that's going to be the biggest difference between whether we're top flooring and bought fouring basically in the example game i do actually deviate a little bit from the formula um just because i did a high roll of velcas and happened to have as iron the same shop i had four uh spell weavers so i i figured i'd may as well may as well use it for a bit i this game was actually hyrule as i'll get out with the with the amount of legendaries that i'm seeing on a one percent chance but honestly they don't actually do me that much good in the late game it is often good to replace thresh with vigo because vigo is just stupidly good but the reality is that i actually tweak the build a little bit i i do have the hellion spat which kind of baits me into going seven hellion and i think seven helium is actually weaker than the five helium version of the spilled guys uh no cap so yeah that's that's spoiler alert but yeah i think i think the seven healing version might might actually be weaker um but yeah uh i guess that that we'll see how that shakes out as as the patch goes along so in the late game you're gonna have to evaluate the game and see whether you can go for a fast nine or not um in this game i was quite quite healthy so i decided to elect for a fast nine uh if you're not as healthy and other boards are starting to come online then you're definitely going to have to roll down at eight to try and hit the teemo um yeah that's it's definitely not an ideal scenario and in fact i probably should have rolled harder at level eight in this game for a teemo just because it was quite contested there was two other helium players so three in total um and they both actually hit their teemos before me so i probably should have rolled aggressively at level eight for my teemo but instead i elect for for a fast nine all right so let's talk positioning so i've just got an example five helium level six board up here just to quickly talk about positioning a bit generally um so of course we are playing hellion so we all know that our hellion portal is on the right side of the board and as a result we will typically prefer to have our carry champions in the right hand corner so we'd have our ziggs here next to our victor and our lulu is our anti-assassin three range and want them next to our carry to buff them with attack speed so we've got lulu there uh poppy solo front lined and cannon we have got in the middle slot so that he is most likely to go towards the enemy carry who will be in a corner and thus like the furthest away from him um and then on the opposite side of the court we have our kled so clutt is actually a really great anti-assassin so generally you want him directly across across from a kha'zix because he's going to have a really good interaction with kha'zix where uh if they're attacking each other kha'zix will do the isolate damage or whatever on him um which will dismount kled and then kha'zix will walk off to another target and club will start like beating him down and yeah it's a really good interaction clud's a great anti-assassin so generally you want your clyde on on the opposite side uh faced up against their assassins so now i've also got an example late game board up here where we've got five hellions but with the revenant front line um so our teemo is replaced by sorry our ziggs is replaced by teemo in the corner here our victor is replaced by hyman dinger over here who's got the baby dragon in the opposite corner has like assassin slash velka's bait we've got lulu in the same anti-assassin position kennen in the same position as well and then we've just got a much bigger front line we've got our remnants in the middle so that we can make sure that they cast uh and our tanky helians on the outside there so this is a pretty typical positioning for the late game in general uh you do want your carries on the right hand side but basically the most important positioning tip is that you're on the same side as enemy velka's carries because velkas is really good at just melting the entire helen squad here we are with uh just the final few rounds of of the example game here we did have the hellion spatula so we were able to get in our seven hellions so biggest difference from the build that i showed you and seven hellions is that you go to level nine you throw in ziggs as well an extra copy of your zigs and you have the helium spat um yeah this this board came together pretty well unfortunately weren't really able to to clinch the win uh and yeah we're actually going up against another hellion board in the in the final few rounds here i do try to improve my positioning and i'm able to get a pretty good zephyr off onto his teemo but uh is this if if nothing else this really goes to show the importance of being in the right hand corner because despite the fact that i got a good zephyr off on his teemo i've got the two-star teemo he's got slightly better items on his teemo uh his teemo carries super super hard here and unfortunately that's enough to uh to end the game so we were able to secure a second um really appreciate you guys watching these guides please remember to like and subscribe if you enjoyed and i've also linked uh a guide that was translated by uh rain rain bash from a top 10 korean hellion player um a korean challenger player that plays a lot of hellions and yeah i've left that guide in the description below so feel free to check it out thanks a lot guys hope you enjoyed and i'll see you guys next time
