Stop Buying New Hondas, They’re Having Major Problems

rev up your engines well Honda's recalling over 124 000 cars because the brakes might fail 2020 2021 Civics 2020-23 ridgelines 2021-23 passports and 2021-22 piles turns out the Fastener on the brake booster might come off and you lose brakes entirely great building great quality control you know the Honda used to make really good cars but they've been slipping a lot lately the other year they were rated 28 out of 34 Brands something's going wrong with Honda now if you're worried get your VIN number go to the National Highway Traffic Safety dot gov website type in your VIN number you can see if yours is under the recall it just shows you know they're missing something now they're missing what the Japanese quality usually hit and I'll bet you dollars to Donuts that these were ones that were probably made outside of Japan made in the United States made wherever right Japanese is a pretty good quality control in Japan when they start making them all over the rest of the world guess what the quality goes down it's just what happens and in this case your brakes might just stop working because they didn't fasten the brake booster correctly Nikki b531 says our Geo Metro's any good I'm thinking about buying one for a thousand bucks geometrics when they first came out to these horrible three-cylinder engines they're a piece of crap then later they replaced them with a tiny four-cylinder engine that was a 1.3 liter engine that put out whopping 70 horsepower now the problem is where are you if you're in the United States getting parts for the Geo Metro is near impossible for many parts they don't sell them anymore if you can find what was low mileage or thousand bucks and it still runs maybe a knock around car right you can't get and drive cross country in those things you break we're gonna get parts them 70 horsepower for a car doesn't barely moves them down the road now if it is a three-cylinder Geo Metro if I really wouldn't even touch the thing those are absolute piles of crap engines right especially with an automatic transmission but if you can find a four-cylinder one with a manual transmission for a thousand bucks and it still runs okay could be a good knock around car just don't expect it to last now on the other hand if it was a geoprism those are just kind of re badge Toyota corollasant Toyota Corolla engines and Transmissions but the Metros no they were crappy they weren't that great cars DKK says Scotty I got a 2019 Dodge Caravan 62 000 miles I trained the transmission fluid and filter put the same out I put in now it's slipping it won't go into first gear the shop says materials all through the system and it needs to be rebuilt because it's all clogged inside have you ever heard of this I heard all the time in those Grand Caravan instead of worst fans in the world I don't know why people ever bought those things they had a lot of cup holders right and the soccer moms liked them taking kids to soccer games I guess that's it right deal jokos how can you have eight people in the Dodge Caravan it's so seven of them can push it down the road while the eight drives the car to the nearest gas station to get it fixed right they were terrible vehicles with horrendous Transmissions but you found out you weren't having the problem until you changed the fluid I advise people you got to change the fluid like every 30 000 miles on those things if you don't change it you're gonna often have problems when you change it the new fluid is slippery and then it starts to slip and doesn't even go you're kind of screwed you bought wrong vehicle and those guys saying well they got to take it apart flush it and all this if it's got particles all in it the whole tranny's room flushing and taking it apart and putting a new torque converter it isn't going to fix you'd need a whole transmission or old transmission overall I've had customers with those that would go through three transmissions in like eight or ten years they kept fixing I thought why wouldn't they just get rid of this pile of crap but they just kept throwing money and money and money their garbage Transmissions their garbage Vehicles unfortunately you bought it you only got 62 000 miles I'd say get it fixed as cheap as you can and sell it there's always some fool that'll buy you want a van get a Toyota Sienna they don't have such problems Jesus does the latest camera have too much Tech about a new 2020 on camera and after two and a half years electronic stuff's acting weird locking starting I got a message that says rcd not available and the steering felt strange thanks your videos I suspected the battery got to change but then I had to recalibrate the steering to get it back to normal luckily I found a YouTube video that showed how to do it but I can't believe a simple battery can cause so many issues but still kind complicated on these cars oh all cars didn't have too much Tech that's just what things are going to and if you think that's bad wait if people get suckered into buying electric cars the level of Technology on those things is totally insane and okay you replace the battery in your 2021 Camry right cost you 100 something bucks for the battery right get an electric car uh twenty thousand dollars to replace that battery and you're not going to be replacing yourself because some of them weigh 12 to 1500 pounds you got to pay somebody to do that I mean and then they say well we can refurbish your battery then they look at your battery and they tack it with a computer like I text all the cells and it'll say replace this cell replace that so then you just got an old battery that's got a few new cells in it which of course is going to break down in the future well that technology is going to make people pull their hair out you think it's bad now just wait and see what the future is going to bring nearly beats us my AC cools intermittently I got a 2010 Honda the AC will blow cold there for five minutes or so and then warm cooler summer days that blows cold there I checked the AC charge at home and the gauge says it's good what could it be all right well you probably didn't check it correctly if you just have one of those ad cans and it showed you the low pressure that doesn't mean it that much you have to do both the low and high let's say the low is 35 and the high is like 180 well that's fine right it's going to work but you could have the right pressure 30 something at the low but if the high isn't high enough or it's too high or too low you're low on refrigerant so it could be your actually low in refrigerant if I were you I would just say Evacuate the whole system out have it all sucked out with a vacuum pump then fill it up with the factory load if that fixes it great you're fixed if not well then you got a serious problem and knowing hands it's almost always the compressor is worn out it's a 14 year old Honda and the compressors do break over time it's probably the compressor none but you can't go just by the low pressure you got to know the low and the high to see if it's full or not because just one gauge means nothing just like if you only had a high pressure cage you still got to know low pressure to see is a system working correctly the low pressure is supposed to be 35 PSI or so in a high pressure be 180 200 or something you got to know both right and I'll tell you you got to be leery about taking a car to dealerships we'll listen to this email Nicholas tan guy says I brought my 2022 Corolla to Rick McHale's Toyota Alcoa Tennessee for its 20 000 mile service I waited in the service advisor says my magnetic drain plan has a problem it won't snug up they said the threads are shot now I didn't have any issue with it when I changed it the last three times then he came back and said well the threads are pulled out and they couldn't do the job they didn't have any problem taking the plug out yet when they put it back they have problems to me it seems like they cross threaded it with an impact they not want 800 bucks to place it I said well I can get the oil pan cheaper for 100 bucks and they said 600 was the labor they said it takes three hours to remove there's only 16 bolts on it I don't understand first time they did the oil change they forgot to put the Crush Washer and they made a dent that I could see when I got out of there last time they over inflated my tires here's a warning about going to the Toyota dealer 600 labor I looked it up my book it's 300 labor they doubled the cost of the labor and it isn't that big of a job to tell you the truth it really isn't I could do it in 45 minutes easy those labor books are a joke anyways you know but he came in he had no problem then they're working on oh well the threads are all ripped up yeah he probably is right they probably used an impact wrench here's the problem with the dealerships they're like a chicken coop they got a pecking order and the best mechanics are on the top of the pecking order the good jobs that come in go to them the ones that make a lot of money the oil changes they go to the rookie pimply faced kid right and they screw up all the time I wouldn't doubt if he used an impact wrench and broken oh we'll charge them 600 bucks to change it what the heck you think you're getting quality but believe me you aren't especially things like oil changes the good mechanics don't do oil changes there A lot of times they'll road test your car it'll be the car wash Guy Road I had customers come back then McDonald's french fries spilled between the seeds one guy the speakers were blown in this car because they obviously turned it up too high when they went out for a joyride for lunch and blew with speakers you think you're going to get quality guess again guy goes in for an oil change and all of a sudden they want 600 bucks to replace the oil pan for something they probably damaged seriously that's what I said do it yourself or find at least a trusted place you can go to that knows who you are because I'm coming here for oil changes all the time but don't try to sell me a bunch of crap I don't need but even better so do it yourself well Ruby has got more problems now they're facing a lawsuit claiming that it defrauded the initial public offering the IPO of the stock over the vehicle prices they deliberately lied and said they're going to be cheaper than they were and then right after like 10 days after the IPO oh no maybe it's going to cost a lot more than what we said you know yeah the scams that go on with that thing the money that people invest in these companies and then say oh they're going to build this I mean Ford had some of that stuff too man a bunch of money on the IPO and then they cast in and originally they said we're going to use their platform for our electric cars well after the IPO and the stock went up Ford cast a bunch of theirs in and said oh no we're not going to deal with them we're not going to use their platform we're using our own so I mean they pull the stock play too they should be going to jail for doing stuff like that politics and the stock market make for strange bad fellows isn't that the truth but in this case the rivian guys knew what they were doing they lied say oh look we can make it at this price right after the IPO oh no no they cost a bunch more now they're being sued for fraud who knows how far it'll go I mean rivian doesn't make that many cars when it gets into these cases in court she's the only people who generally come out okay are the
