stop being the seed Galatians 6:7 2:9 be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap for he who sews to his flesh will have the flesh reap corruption but he who sews to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life and let us not grow weary while doing good for in due season if we we shall reap if we do not lose heart or most translated said if we do not faint so Paul is telling us not to be deceived and and that means to be led astray to wonder to stagger to be led of course to be affected by someone's outside influence and led in a wrong direction the activity of false teachers was deliberately who deliberately led people into false teaching that leads to bondage so what was happening here is that the the activity of the false teachers teachers were deliberately leading people into false teaching and they were believing it and they were being led it back into bondage so the better thought here that Paul was saying when he says be not to see the better way it would be translated as stop being deceived so they were already being deceived Paul was coming into the church at Galatians say stop being deceived quit listening to these false teachers quit allowing them to move your way from the gospel that you knew or what we preached see some Christians here in Galatia were indulging their flesh sinning with their bodies so they were doing a lot of crazy stuff others were being led to go back under the law so they were being told you got to be come back under you got to go back under the law and and so it became very legalistic and Paul was saying when he says be not to see it's probably best translated translated stop being deceived they were already being to see that's why I said don't be the seed and he says stop it don't allow it folks we got to stay with the Word of God or we will be deceived so Paul says stop it stop being deceived in other words stop it quit quit allowing it see and then the Bible goes on to say God is not mocked that means to turn up ones nose at someone as if mocking or laughing at someone be not deceived for God is not mocked for whatsoever a man shows that shall he also reap and so could be plant whatever you plant whatever you sow it's like a farmer who sews into the ground seed and then at a deuced season if he keeps you know tilling the ground and taking care of it he'll reap a harvest so these people grew up in this kind of world they knew exactly what Paul was talking about I've had people say what does so mean it means plant what seeds you planted if you have a garden you got a plant seed you got to sow the seed into the ground you got to water it you got to cover it you got a nurture you got to fertilize it whatever and then you'll reap a harvest when it's time and so that's what he was saying but he's saying God is not mocked and so what happens is people were turning their nose up at God and thinking we know better than you see it is the arrogance of someone saying you really don't believe this principle of sowing and reaping it's not real and that's why the Bible says stop being deceived God is not mocked for whatever man shows that and that only Sally read and so whatever you plant in your life that's what you're going to read some of these people weren't believing in this principle of sowing and reaping and so what happened was that they were they were mocking it and people do it today they mocked the Word of God the Bible calls him scorners and mockers he said don't ever sit with them and they laugh and they and the Bible says that God will not be mocked because what he says is true so I truly believe I truly believe in this law of sowing and reaping planning and reaping for ever of my life from loving kindness from sowing kindness or planting kindness to finances everything in between I think about it a lot when I live my life I think about okay what seeds am i planning right now because I don't know when the harvest will come but it's going to come so what kind of harvest do I want to receive so we teach around here be kindness and respect to people to people who come in our staff knows that's how we operate we don't have a lot of drama with the staff we don't have a lot of staff going to the HR fighting over things we just don't have a lot of that because we we do believe in this principle of sowing and reaping you know for years I've had older people on my staff one was pastor Bruno one was pastor Jack and I told them both you can work for me as long as you can work and and someone said but they're older oh yeah but I don't care if they if they can work I'm gonna let them work I'm gonna let them do their job and they can work it kind of how they want as long as they're being productive and someone said to me one time why and I said because one day I'm gonna be older and when I get older I want someone to be kind to me and maybe I just need some place to go help somebody and so I'm sowing those seeds I'm gracious to people on my team and my staff and I try to be all over now maybe not to the governor but I am pretty gracious but but when I when I see injustice or an unjust leader that that's what gets me it irks me but but I still try to show the proper sea and then when I show it our planet I know what I'm planning some of us just live life and we wonder why all of a sudden we get all these hard like why's this all happen to me well what did you serve will you mean to people why is that buddy be mean to me because maybe you've been mean to people now you reap your harvest and you don't like it and so it works both ways that's why the Bible says God will not be mocked don't you understand this is how life works and if you sow to the flesh you'll reap of the flip you so do human nature you'll reap from that so the person who really doesn't believe in the promises of God of sowing and reaping planning and reaping planning and harvest is someone who tried maybe to apply the law of sowing and reaping and didn't get the results they desire so now they act like it is not true this person then begins to turn up their nose at God and challenge is the validity of it and questions the word of God whether it's real or not I have people say all the time you know I don't know if I believe this I know it's in the Bible but I don't know if I believe it see that's the problem if you call yourself a believer if you're a true follower of Christ you believe it all or you don't believe it at all because you don't get to pick and choose it's not a buffet then I like that I like that I like that I mean I used to love to eat at first cafeteria I still do but most people won't go there with me and I get the same thing every time I mean I get the same meal every time the exact same I go to Taco Bell I love taco bell by the way and I go there and I get the same stuff every time I order the same meal and and and and and the reason I do that is because I I am I'm a creature of habit and and I want and I want to and I want some maybe consistent in my life but but my point is being I lost my point but anyway here we go I was trying to come back but I I'm losing it so now so so this person turns up their nose and questions whether God is true or not I forget what I was gonna make it was a good point too but it just floated away so maybe they tried doing the Word of God and they tried to be kind once or they tried to give money once and again it didn't work like they thought it should you know I see people all the time in couples and and they get married and they they you know maybe the guy or the woman has been just awful in the relationship and then they get a change of heart and then they're nice one time and the the spouse doesn't reciprocate like they want him to it's like I was nice and you weren't nice and that's like well you had you had a lot of years of of not being nice it just doesn't work one time and so people think well I did the Bible one time it should work that way it doesn't work that way and thank God it doesn't work in the reverse either so when I do something bad one time I'm not necessarily gonna reap a harvest of that either so we need to thank God it doesn't work just one time and so what happens to people they do one time I've had people tell me over the years I gave nothing happened I'm like well how many times you give once okay Wow you really gave that a shot didn't you and it's because they don't understand the Scriptures see Paul doesn't want this bad attitude of unbelief to get into the Galatian Church and so he is telling them don't be deceived stop being deceived I don't want you to get this attitude that the Word of God doesn't work because it didn't work like you wanted it to or when you wanted it to the Bible's true regardless and that's why the Bible says God will not be mocked he won't be mocked because he his word is true and it'll happen just like he says it's happening gonna happen so it's so it does matter what people say it doesn't matter who you hang out with it does matter who you hang out with it matters a lot who you hang out with who has influence who has your ear who's speaking into your life are they creating causing confusion or they they are they creating peace and and helping you grow and develop so it does matter and Paul was saying you gotta let these people go and so who you associate with Paul was saying don't hang out with those who dare turn up their nose at the Word of God of sowing and reaping of planting and harvesting Paul declares whatsoever a man shows or plants that shall he also reap the word so with me is the Greek word Spiro and which refers to any seed that is sown NEC this laws about any air of your life it applies to love to work to time to patient to kindness to finances forgiveness selfishness bitterness they're all potential seeds so the next time you go say something to somebody or you know what's so funny is the gossipers people who gossip a lot that they're the ones that make me laugh because they're the ones who get so hurt when they've realized someone's talking about them it's like I can't believe they're talking about me I'm like are you serious you talk about everybody and when they reap their harvest they hate it I can't believe it well believe it you've been sowing those seeds for ver and when you reap it you don't like it when you're selfish all the time and then all of a sudden now you look at people say they're so selfish to me it's because that's the seed you sow in other words God said I will not be mocked don't you understand whatever you sow that and that only is what you're gonna read that's what you're gonna read in your life he's so selfishness you sow bitterness you sow unforgiveness and it's gonna work on that with you you said what I don't believe it that's why the Bible says don't be deceived stop being to see God will not be mocked you think God's gonna let you and let us mock him and so we can say His Word doesn't work this principle is how we should live our lives we should think about it when I do this or I say that or I treat people this way when I treat my spouse a certain way or my kids a certain way you know we're not to provoke our children but some people provoke your children where to bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord according to Ephesians 6 but is 6 1 through 4 but we're not to provoke them to anger and sometimes we provoke our children we're mean to them we're unjust to them we're harsh on them we got to realize when we're raising our children whoever this is for this is this is a word of knowledge just so you know whoever this is for you're raising your brother and sister in the Lord you got to we got to think about that God gave them to you to train not to abuse and sometimes we are children rebuke us and buck us and and they want nothing to do with us and then we think I don't know why I gave them a home to live in yeah but did you provoke them to anger were you unjust with them were you mean-spirited to them did you treat them awful I don't know I'm saying because it's not in my notes and I didn't say last night it's for somebody you got to stop provoking your kids well they better listen to me yeah but with that attitude they're not going to listen to you you need to explain why they need to be obey their parents in the Lord for this is right honor your mother and father which is the first commandment promise that it would be well with you and you would live long on the earth father's provoke not your children to wrath that's only the Bible and so we need to realize whatever you sow you will reap whatever man soweth whatever thing or no matter what a person shows you'll reap it at some point the good news is for all of us and I said this a minute ago is it's not talking about a single act somebody said oh no I said something I shouldn't say I don't want to read that or I did so much in doubt I want to read that it's not talking about a single act thank God everybody else I thank God thank God thank God cuz I've done some things I'm like oh no and I'm like thank God I wasn't continuously doing it but someone who sews this is what it means that whatsoever man soweth what it's talking about is someone who sews and sews and sews and sews are plants and plants and plants and plants habitually and constantly and consistently they then they keep on reaping and reaping and reaping and reaping and reaping it's not talking about a one-time thing it's talking about something you do habitually constantly and consistently if you're mean-spirited consistently I guarantee it people are going to be mean to you they're going to shun you they're gonna lie to you they're not gonna like you you're gonna feel like you're left out a lot and you're gonna be like whoa I don't understand cuz that's the harvest that you read but if you sow kindness and respect in people's lives I believe that's what you'll reap also and here's the thing about sowing and reaping some people told me over the years pastor I don't give to the church but I sow my time well great cuz that's all you're gonna reap is time you don't sow apples and get oranges it doesn't work that way whatever I sow that shall I reap whatever I plant so I'm asking you to ask yourself what what kind of seeds are you planning in your life are you planting seeds where you want to get a good harvest are you planting seeds that man when the harvest comes you're not gonna like it I'm just telling you just it's it's it's a principle and some people say well I don't I don't believe in the principle well that's why the Paschal pot was saying stop being deceived God won't be mocked this is how it works so if we sow the seed of finances steadily and faithfully or sow the seed of being kind or kindness steadily and faithfully that's what you'll read the reason people walk away from this promise is because they tried it once waited for a harvest and when nothing happened they said it doesn't work it's not real see they begin questioning the validity of the Word of God and that's when you're in danger my wife and I have sowed and planted seeds for so long and some of the harvest income for 20 years it took 20 years but i'ma tell you the harvest is good 20 years sometimes it was 15 years sometimes it happened pretty quick but we but we we never quit planting and and we try to plant the right seeds and when you plant the wrong seeds I mean the good news is when you start planting the wrong seeds you did you need to repent that means to change your mind turn around that means to go from one direction now I'm going a different direction and when you repent you can ask God God I want to pluck up all those seeds I've sown but just because you've had a change of heart and life and you've been you've acted a certain way for a long time and then you start being nice and then your spouse or friends aren't reciprocating your family members the way you I think they should don't get upset with them because you planted a lot of seeds they have to get used to you being kind of nice especially if you are awful and no good if you're mean-spirited now I've got a red lace cot now I'm I'm gonna forgive and then other people don't forgive you like you want them to it's because you've been so unforgiving you've treated people horribly at times because you said I just can't forgive them and then what happens is you reap harvest is where people won't forgive you either because you will make mistakes in that attitude but whatever you sow I don't get to sow apples and get oranges i sow apples I get apples i sow kindness I get kindness I so self in this selfishness I receive selfishness it's just the way it works you say how do you know it works well first of all I've experienced it secondly the Bible tells me that's how it works this has to become our lifestyle something we do consistently in our lives something we think about I do all the time I think about all the time what seeds am i planning here you're so a little you reap a little you sow a lot and you reap a lot that's just the way it works so in consistently in your reaping consistently so regularly and you'll reap regularly that's what the Bible is teaching us here but so many so do the flesh and that was worse a flesh denotes mere human nature the earthly nature the the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence and God is divine therefore it's prone to you're prone to sin and you're prone to oppose God and we and we and when we oppose God we invest our lives and serving ourselves and that's what happens when you sow to the flesh you're opposing God you're pushing God away you're telling God you're not real or you're not right or I don't believe in the things that you say because you really don't that if you really don't that you really don't believe the word until you act on it and that's the reality of people say I believe in the Bible diac don't know then you really don't believe in the Bible you don't believe until you act on some until you do that that's when you believe it but if you don't believe it you'll never act on it and when you believe something you'll begin to do it and act on it and and understand what God's Word is saying and then he says if you so do this mere human nature apart from divine influence you'll reap corruption that's moral decay it's eternal misery you're going to repeal because there's only two places people go in their life when they die it's heaven or hell and you don't get to heaven just because you're a good person see that's being deceived because when you think you're a good person you sowed your flesh your whole life you don't get a middle ground there's no there's no middle ground there's no purgatory there's no anything biblically you either go to heaven or hell and it's your choice well I'm a good person truly got to let me into seven no it's not good people that go to heaven it's not nice people that go to heaven it's not even giving people they go to heaven it saved people that go to heaven the only way to the father is through Jesus Christ and you can't come any other way you don't get to circumvent the the Word of God are the things of God God will not be mocked he will not be laughed at scorn net or it's someone sticking his nose up at him his word is true it's forever settled and we need to understand when you sow to the flesh you'll reap from the flesh then Pope Paul goes on to say if you reap from you know if you sow to the spirit that's doing the word acting on the word purposing to do the word can you say but pastor what if I make mistakes thank God you don't have bitterly make the same mistake over and over again and if you do you you're working through it you're at least recognizing it so you can get right with God and you can be saved and you can you can know that God is for you not against you but you you you recognize it so you can work on it God's good with that he knows you're trying to not do those things and he gives you the strength to overcome if you believe him and so the Bible says if you sort of the spirit that means if you do the word you'll reap eternal life you'll reap everlasting life you'll reap the abundant life but then he goes on to say don't grow weary in well-doing probably better way to say this is don't give up don't stop what you are doing be consistent be faithful because if you don't faint you'll reap the harvest that means there's going to be a season you know it's like this you don't plant corn and get corn the next day you plant it at a certain time of the year and you harvest it at another time of the year and so oftentimes we just want God to do everything right away it's like I did this God's got to do this we even tell God God I've done this for you this for you this for you this for you this for you I've done all these things and you should do this for me I deserve it you don't deserve anything God saved your life from eternal death that's that's the greatest thing he ever did for you and and anything else that comes out of that it's like the cherry on top everything else because he's done everything I don't deserve anything from God but he tells me Steve have your soda the spirit you'll reap everlasting life you'll reap my blessings in your life and it doesn't mean we don't make mistakes guys it just means we don't just continually make the same mistake over and over again we recognize it's wrong and we begin to walk away and back up and say god I'm not gonna do that anymore with your help and your strength I'm gonna overcome that and I want you to pluck up those seeds that I plant it because I don't want to reap that harvest in my life and so you got to be consistent you got to be faithful when it says don't faint we need to understand that the devil will say things like when you're acting on the word and doing the word and you're consistent the other thing he'll say things your mind like this doesn't work it's been a long time heading it it won't hurt if you just cut back God won't care just loosen your grip a little bit but God is saying and Paul is saying but if if you loosen up you will eventually quit you will stop completely then you will lose everything so we don't faint we don't give up we don't allow the enemy to lie to us and say it's okay man it's okay I've been working hard I've been striving hard because in this season that we're in in this world it's so crazy so difficult it's going to be easier for people because at most everything's on line to disconnect with the church and I think that's part of why this is happening soon we say man I've worked hard I'm just gonna take it easy now some people will say I'm not even gonna go back to church because they like this kind of thing but we weren't meant to do this we weren't meant to do it online it's just a feature that thank God for technology that we're able to do and some churches don't even have that technology they don't have the means it's not cheap it's expensive we were meant to gather and we have to understand the only thing holy is the Word of God let me read something to you from the Apostles Creed the song that we sing the Creed and and back in the day they would they didn't have the Bible they would they would tell the story of things verbally they would they would verbalize things so they could teach their children and the song goes I believe in God our Father I believe in Christ the Son I believe in the Holy Spirit our God is three in one I believe in the resurrection these are things we need to think about and believe I believe in the resurrection that we will rise again for I believe in the name of Jesus I believe in God our Father I believe in Christ the Son I believe in the Holy Spirit again our God is three in one I believe in the resurrection that we will rise again for I believe in the name of Jesus I believe in life eternal I believe in the virgin birth I believe in the Saints Communion and and in your Holy Church and the church is holy why because it was divinely orchestrated by God Jesus died for the church he's the head of the church the government is not holy no other places oh the church is a holy place you and I are the church yes but we need to come together the Bible calls us to gather together there's a reason for that that can abilities better and so whatever you go through in your life it's not a time to loosen up it's not a time to listen to the enemy it's not a time to let those thoughts get in your brain it's okay God won't care you work so hard God won't care if you just lighten up no because when you start lightening up and loosening up the next step is I quit completely and it's so easy to get out of the habit of Church and God we're seeing even online I think it's across the country people are all excited you know because that's the only way now it's like oh it's online it doesn't doesn't float your boat because it was never meant to thank God for the Avenue but the thing that floats our boat is when we come together and we worship how many you're they haven't been here glad you're here today I mean you yeah you hearing people I don't know if I should've did that but okay [Applause] I think I just choked just right there just give me give me the choke sign guys go give me the chokes thank you but the church is holy this is the holy place we got to put the church first not everything else first the kingdom of God first I believe in the resurrection when Jesus comes again for I believe in the name of Jesus we got to understand that that the church is holy and we can't loosen our grip you can't let go you can't start fainting you know if you're faint like you can't do that not even a little bit you got to stay plugged in you got to focus now more than ever you got it you got to stay focused and I know people aren't all kinds they have all kinds of opinions and thoughts about what's happening here in our country in our state and I get it I agree with some and don't agree with others but maybe you agree some ánotá beer does I it doesn't mean we all have to agree but we do need to agree on this one thing that God's Word is truth and we have to continually act on it and never let the enemy ever deceive you into thinking you can loosen up lighten up hey I don't have to do this God doesn't expect me God doesn't care he does care and you don't want to start sowing those seeds of fainting because then you won't reap your harvest so many believers I've met over the years have sowed in soda and soda then one day they got tired one day they thought they'd take a break you don't ever get a vacation from God I don't even know why you'd want one I don't know about you but God goes with me on my vacations I thank God for the vacation and when I go near the ocean he protects me from sharks thank God he's with me I don't want to leave him at home like god no you created the sharks no no no you heard the old boy that doesn't believe in God at all doesn't believe in God doesn't believe in God he's an atheist he doesn't leave in God one day found himself stranded in the ocean and this big shark was coming he's trying to swim away anything all sudden he goes please God please God make this shark a Christian and so the clouds opened and God began to speak and said you don't even believe in me he said I know God make this joker Chris and he goes okay so right before the shark ate him he stopped and said Father thank you for this food that I'm about to receive yeah so don't allow anyone to talk you out of the promises of God don't allow it and if people are trying to talk about it but you need to get away from them you're so kindness you reap kindness you so patience you reap patience you sow money you reap money you sow meanness you reap meanness you you plant selfishness you reap selfishness you plant strife you reap strife and so many people so strife and discord and then they wonder why there's nothing but strife and discord in their own homes and whether you believe it or not this laws at work in your life I would think you would want to sow our plant good seeds so you can reap good harvests and we are never to compare ourselves to anyone else and we are not to mistake the blessing of God to mean having lots of money that's a mistake there are a lot of people who have lots of money that will reap eternal death and there are a lot of people who have money that will reap eternal life because they honored God they put him first so you need to you need that you can't compare yourself some people say well how come those people so blessed they they're not Christians or not noting that it's not for you to decide all that well they have money that doesn't mean they're blessed because eventually their life will end in eternal death why do you want to compare yourself with that and why don't we always think as believers that when we're blessed that means we have more money I know people who have lots of money that would give it all away for their health just to be healthy just to not be in pain maybe give it away if their kids were alive say one addicted or on whatever I've watched it I've lived long life long enough to see the different facets of it yeah it makes your life a little easier but don't ever compare yourself and think well they sew all this stuff and they seem to be okay well you don't know about people you only know what they let you see you really don't know and then we can be deceived thinking one thing and then doing another in other words we may say we believe in prayer but do you spend time in prayer I know people say to believe in prayer all the time but do you spend any time in prayer like real time not like father bless me mine and this for no more don't know I'm gonna talk about that I'm not about praying asking God to bless people or asking him for wisdom or whatever and so you can be deceived you can deceive yourself thinking these things we may say we value the Word of God but our lack of study and acting on it is evidence that we really don't believe it at all because if you don't act on it why you don't believe it you don't believe until you do that's why the Bible says that the devil's believed and trembled but the thing they didn't do was do the Word of God they believed in God it's easy to say I believe in God but do you believe enough to act because that's real belief and so you can deceive yourself thing I believe in prayer I believe in prayer do you pray I believe in the Bible but do you do it if you want to reap from the Bible you got to do it you got to act on it you got apply it in your life well what if I make mistakes just join the rest of us we all will make a lot of mistakes you'll never live this life mistake free but we just don't want to have bitterly so into that field I want to sow in the field where I reap a good harvest something I can eat something that blesses something that's good and we don't always do it thank God while I thank you just because I blow it one time doesn't mean I'm gonna reap a harvest one time I'm so happy how're you happy like I'm happy like happy happy like I could do a happy dance like like yes I mean that's the reality thank you Father and just because you do something good one time doesn't mean you're gonna reap a harvest either well I was nice to them and they were mean to me I won't be nice to them again really you've been mean to them for twenty years and you were nice one time and they didn't do what you thought they didn't go oh it's so sweet you're so nice now they're looking at you like I won't last I know you better than that so you have to constantly and continuously plant and plant and plant then one day they'll say you know what there's been a real change here there's been a real change I can see it then you'll start reaping what you desire I pray this blessed you guys I pray with all my heart that we start thinking about planting better and better seeds in our life and in the lives of others when your unselfish people will be unselfish towards you when you're a giver God can always bless you you know they say 65 percent of churches are down right now financially and some of them drastically because of all this stuff and you know what I was talking to my pastor Willie George one day and we got in a discussion and he made an observation he said you know that the pastors that are generous and the churches that are generous seem to be doing good the pastors who are not generous and the churches who are not generous they're the ones that don't seem to be doing well you know what we've sowed seed for this time we've always been generous this is a generous turn if you're part of this church you're a generous person why because when you give we give it out in the platoon of 1.8 million dollars last year and I mean we just we just gave money away and you see why would you give it to me yeah but we helped people and some people did get it when you're generous and you're so generosity you'll reap generosity not just money but people will be gracious to your favor with people it all begins with this where do you stand with Jesus where's Jesus in your life is he the lord of your life or did you put him back on a shelf and say oh I believe in them but stay back there don't bother my life for some of you you've loosened your grip even over the last couple months you've said you know what men are just too hard I've just you by yourself maybe you're lonely or whatever and you've loosened your grip now it's time to tighten that grip back up it's time to quit fainting fainting and come back and so if you've walked with God and walked away this is your moment to get a ride say god I'm sorry I'm gonna I'm gonna keep going or if you're out there you say I've never really invited Jesus to be Lord of my life I believe in them but I've never really invited a man you need you need to invite them in you need to sow that seed now plant that seed and let him come into your life you need to yield to him so he can come in and give you eternal life that means you can live in heaven forever instead of living in hell forever because once you go to hell you don't get to get out and I believe what you go to heaven you don't you don't get to get out of there either thank God so if you need to get right with God if you need to ask Jesus below your life I'm gonna lead you to prayer out of the book of Romans and I want you wherever you're at whoever you with whomever you with right where you're at if you say pastor that's me would you pray with me and if you're by yourself I want you to do this also would you just lift your hand in the air and if you're here you and lift your hand in the air and you say pastor I want to get right with God I want to know that Jesus is Lord of my life I want to know that if I die today I would have eternal life and as you lived in you hand I'm gonna lead you to pray and I want you to pray this aloud with me would you pray father I choose to believe in Jesus and I believe according to your word he is your son and I believe in my heart and now I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Jesus be Lord of my life I thank you for saving me right now I thank you for forgiving me right now I believe teach me your ways o God that I would know you and know your ways in Jesus name Amen and amen and amen for us our foundation
