Steve Henry 6 FOOT takeoff in a Highlander

Sara come out to help me a little bit with this be the own little short takeoff and landing the only thing we haven't decided which one's gonna fly and which one's gonna run the camera well maybe I'll fly all right we got yeehaw six here and you're gonna go try to do a little bit of short takeoff and landing for a little contest Kevin Quinn putting on I think somebody in Alaska or someplace like that's gonna win it with some really nice coastal wind blowing in nice and smooth and no density altitude but it's all for fun I've got my muffler off because I get a little more power without the muffler it's louder than heck but a little more power light on fuel about four gallons of gas got my passenger seat out of course I have the carbon concepts less now which I always have on so we're gonna go see if we can do a couple short takeoffs and landings plus we need to get a little video on YouTube anyway where do we got our cones to take out there there's a there's one little spot where I'm going to do this it's kind of between the runway in the taxiway right here at NAPA just because it's convenient it's a little bit muddy so might like be skidding a little more than I would want to be but I'm just gonna do it here cuz it's convenient all right competition day do what do you want to drive out there yours or mine um I guess I can I could drive my nerve Luis in there and have my dirt bike I haven't unloaded for like three weeks here's a real simple thing I figured out the other day to see the tire rotation I did have a piece of tape just across the wheel but it's really hard to tell with more than one line so just going from the center out it should be a lot easier to count rotations then we'll just measure the diameter a 31 inch tire you can see how far that is my camera here will pick that up almost there stop [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay well this is where I just got stopped I did not scratch sara is up my side the cones where she can verify my cam right into scratch we got a 25-foot tape here so the 25 feet goes right to their plus two here it's not quite 27 feet but we'll call it 27 feet all right 27 yeah it's actually a little under 27 feet but 27 feet that's exactly what I did in Texas 27 feet nice and then but I had a way better take off here of six and a half feet six and half was a good one we got that recorded will - all right good good job fun yeah thanks for helping me [Music] you you
