this is a hard one JY because I want to agree with Stephen A like everything in my gut says yeah Stephen A is right and I don't like I I honestly don't like debating someone who is not present to defend themselves I don't like talking about people behind their backs I don't like sniping and sub tweeting I don't like any of this stuff what I like is face to face manto man this is why I think you're wrong so with all that said I think Stephen A is actually part of the problem here on a larger perspective and I've told him that to his face I've told him on this set I've told him on his radio show when it comes to this opinion see what Stephen A is wrong about and and and what leads him down the wrong path is is essentially he lacks humility and that's going to come as no surprise to anyone that knows Stephen A he has his opinion as many smart um confident people do as I think Stephen A is both smart and confident and have a world of respect for him he has to recognize the limits of your own opinion so here's what I'm saying my own opinion and Stephen A's own opinion is OJ has his just deserts coming he got away with a double murder Justice is keeping him in jail the problem is the legal system is not where we we enact Karma it's not where we do Tit for Tat it's not where well you got off on this one so we get you on this one it's not the way the system is supposed to work and the way the system is supposed to work OJ who's in jail with what is it seven counts remainings I already receed parole for five of the 12 counties in jail for should by most standards get parole for this what is it 2008 incident um this you know it was a it was a burglary it was held people against their will so I think it was technically kidnapping legally but it was also much more because it was OJ Simpson than what it was in actuality and OJ has served what anybody else would serve for this particular crime the only reason to keep OJ in jail is for another crime a crime we all or most of us think he's guilty of but legally he was found not guilty of and the system does not allow us to do that to make you serve for one crime because we think you're guilty of another I actually agree with you here listen stepen a is absolutely you know he's wrong in this situation because of the fact of what what you just said he's Rel litigating what happened back in 1994 and we live in an era now and one of the hot button Topics in in in today's era is police brutality where people they they see they see what's going on out here cops are G cops are getting off and everyone everyone is up in arms with with that whole situation so the reason I look at Steve Steve this situation we can't think morally because oh we think he we think that OJ Simpson did it but you got to take OJ's name out of the equation if you're looking at if you're looking at this parole hearing just on the facts and I'm not you know I'm not a legal expert or anything like that but from what everyone has said does OJ meet the requirements the criteria to be parole today and from all accounts right now he's probably met all the requirements he's been an outstanding citizen in in prison he's done everything that's been asked of him but the name OJ comes into that and that's where stepen a got this whole thing wrong there's going to be just do for OJ even if he's parole he's never going to escape the what happened in 1994 he's going to be a prisoner of his own circumstances but what we're talking about in legal terms right now should OJ Simpson be paroled absolutely absolutely I feel like he should be paroled yeah you know Stephen A will will be here tomorrow in fact to uh to to defend his opinion to react to whatever happens with OJ today but here's why I say Stephen A symbolizes some that a larger problem Daman sometimes the right path doesn't arrive at the conclusion that we feel is right do you understand so what I'm saying is this um I agree with Stephen A I don't have any sympathy for OJ I want moral Justice for OJ but moral Justice can't come within the legal justice system and here's why it's because I'm not in charge every one of us deep down kind of wish we were the little dictator in charge of everything we were the author we were the authoritarian figure and if we were then everything would be just and right if if if just I was in charge right or you maybe or Stephen A or all of us who agree if we were just in charge and we would always hit it with with what we see is just right Bullseye justice but we're not we're not in charge so what we do we look for people that Echo our opinions Echo our our sentiments and those people come in many forms they come in authority figures presidents mobs um whatever it may be as long as they Echo what we think is right but the problem with that is all of those entities Authority figures rulers mobs they change their opinions quickly change and then before you know it they disagree with you and they're unaccountable so what do you do you got to put Faith in a system trust in a system and systems aren't perfect and systems don't always work they often give you personally something that you don't end up liking but you got to follow that path because it's the only one that's safe it's the only one that's accountable in this case that system the legal system says OJ should go free moral judgment's up for something else with OJ you said he'll get his Just Desserts it may not be on this Earth it may be somewhere else that will come for OJ but as far as the legal system is concerned we have to follow our rules we have to follow our path because honestly the other path is too scary yeah I mean what you're talking about is politicizing this you know the legal system and that's where a lot of injustices happen in a legal in the legal system especially today you know one of the big topics is Justice Reform because a lot of people tend to inject polit how their personal feelings political issues into something that you're talking about people's lives here this is you know even though we have a a lot of people have a disdain for OJ Simpson we can't we can't cross a path cross that that line where our feelings supersede what the law should say he should where the law said he should be as far as the parole hearing today it's a dangerous situation if we keep retiga that 1994 well he he needs to pay the price he eight you know eight years that's not that's not enough time for OJ for what he did in 1994 and what's done is done what's done is done like you said the legal system spoke at that time but again I'll go back to what I said just a few few minutes ago he's going to be a prisoner of the of his circumstances for the rest of his life even if he even if he gets out he's always going to have that anchor that weight of what he did back back in 1994
