hello everyone I've been playing Stellar blade for over 20 hours already and I can tell you right now this game is absolutely phenomenal this game's map combat system and enemy diversity as well as all the skills you can get are so fun to play and I'm going to show you everything you need to know especially these 10 things before the game launches first off Stellar blade is based in a post-apocalyptic Earth where you have to fight the NABA after you crash land onto Earth from being attacked in Space the map itself is linear based with a semiopen world progression system system meaning there's specific paths that you have to follow but within those paths are different smaller kind of open World areas that you can explore left right as well as different secret areas that you can find throughout the levels as you unlock different areas of the map there are fast travel points at rest camps so you can go back to any additional areas to explore further and each area again has its own individual explorable areas that have different things like lock chest and other secrets that you can actually find allowing you to go and Traverse a bunch of different parts of each individual map segment next one of the big first things you need to know is how the combat system works in Stellar blade Stellar blade uses a hack and/ Combat Action System which essentially also includes elements from other Souls like games primarily using the two major mechanics which are the parry and Dodge mechanics fighting a lot of enemies in the game you're going to need to master both the parry and the Dodge the Parry is done by essentially hitting block at the perfect time once an enemy is attacking you if you success successfully Parry an enemy it will essentially take away one of these little yellow dots affecting the enemy's balance and once you get rid of all those yellow dots this is going to stun them and allow you to do a retribution attack on them dealing much more damage than any normal other attack would this is a primary system in the game and you need to make sure you master this not only to avoid a lot of the heavy damage from enemies but again allowing you to dish out a bunch of damage as well also the Dodge mechanic works the same way but again it just allows you to dodge enemies attacks and combo attacks there different skill upgrades later in the game for your Dodge ability that allow you to actually Dodge unparryable attacks now there's also tons of items for combat in the game or usable items such as grenades or mines as well as different ranged attacks that you are able to do on enemies that vary differently from your regular sword melee attacks now again the way the combat system works in the bottom left is you have a shield once your Shield gets fully depleted which it can recharge you will then take damage straight from your HP you can see your usable items in the bottom left as well and in the bottom left you have your beta energy you also have your beta power abilities on the right which deal higher level damage and different kinds of damage to enemies in the game so first let's talk about the beta abilities and the beta energy itself when you attack enemies you essentially gain beta energy this beta energy is then in turn used once you collect enough of it again to use those beta powers on the bottom right hand side of your screen using L1 in any of the X circle square or triangle buttons you get get beta energy by not only hitting enemies with melee and ranged attacks if you land a Parry on an enemy or hit them with a successful attack you will gain beta energy to again use one of your beta Powers your beta Powers again do more damage than traditional attacks and there are four different beta Powers you can choose from based on the situation you need it for first beta power is the triplet ability this generates an arc to attack forward and knocks the enemy back and stuns them if you hit them with three of them in a row the next one is slash that launches an energy blade forward you can charge this attack and do increased damage to enemies as well as stun them and hit multiple enemies at one time next is shock wave where you unleash two waves of fatal energy this is a ranged attack and can be done from basically almost any distance and shield breaker that you can use to break enemies defenses and stun them which will be required by some enemies some enemies do carry Shields or are heavily defended in order to actually deal appropriate damage to them you need to break their shield with for instance a beta power like this then we have three types of items to pay attention to First is going to be our important items as you place Stellar blade you're going to find many areas with chests and other areas with codes that you find these codes are used to open lock chests throughout the map if you find a lock chest there's probably a code nearby and if you find a code there's probably a chest once you find a code and find the chest that belongs to it's going to require you input that code manually to unlock the chest here you can find under your important items that code that you found and you'll be able to see the code specifically what it is so you can type it in manually to the chest to fully unlock it and get the loot the other items are usable items and they split into two different categories healing and offensive items the first items are the healing items the first being your rechargeable tumbler this is your traditional healing item you can see this has four current uses this will be rechargeable once you rest at a rest station where you're able to save your game your healing pots will return to full meaning you can recharge these as much as you want upon finding a rest station your lingering potion continues to heal you over time the highly concentrated potions can be bought at rest stations again for currency and heal you much higher health and the biotic field generator throws down a biotic field allowing you to get healing when you're standing in that given area and finally the other item to pay attention to is your given ammo depending on the type of ammo you have is what your gun uses and each different ammo type has different functionality for instance slugs are closeup damage and you have other ammo types that you can charge and deal much higher amounts of damage to enemies so keep in mind when using your blaster to use the appropriate ammo type as you find them or buy them on your enemies depending on what enemy you're fighting firstly the primary piece of gear you have is your exospine there are different kinds of exop spines in Stellar blade there are actually two unlockable spots one exospine on the top and one on the bottom you can see the one we have unlocked here on the top has different kinds of exop spines or loot that you can find for instance the protection type echos spine gives us less damage received Shield protection increases and a chance to restore HP the chain type exospine gives us increased attack power of combo attacks increased crit rate of combo attacks and overall more critical damage boosting up our damage so each EXO spine that you find has different uses next you have gear you can find multiple different pieces of gear and unlock up to four different gear slots the gear itself ranges and has all different types of attribute that benefits your character for instance you can find gear with damage reduction melee damage reduction specifically overall damage or attack speed multipliers a bunch of different things Al together you're going to be able to find many different types of gear now a lot of gear itself can be actually upgraded within the rest stations themselves you can go to one of these areas and upgrade different pieces of gear using materials that you find throughout the game by upgrading some pieces of gear it makes them more powerful giving you obviously better attribute bonuses and making your character and build that much better then finally we have the exterior items for your gear that again are just act like skins allowing you to specialize your character and make them look any way you want your different weapon types are the two primary ones it's going to be your sword for hack and/ combat where you can again use your combo skills to attack enemies multiple different ways and your gun which you can use by accessing the left trigger the left trigger allows you to attack enemies with different ranged attack types different types of ammo and can be helpful in a lot of different fights where your sword may not necessarily be most suitable again you can get different ammo types allowing you to do things like charge attacks much higher damage one shot range attacks or get ammo types like slug where you can just walk up to enemies and Just DE imate them from up close knowing when to use each different weapon type is important because again different enemies respond differently to different kinds of attacks and all have different weaknesses now to Pigg you back off of upgrading items you have all of your materials which you'll find again rare materials through chests and different areas throughout the game it's important you collect as many of these materials as you can find because different pieces of gear take different pieces of material to upgrade and depending on the area that you're in you may find more materials there than other areas again you can go into your rest area to upgrade different Gear with these different materials but it's important again that we collect them every chance we get one of the things that makes Stellar blades so good is the plethora of enemies that are currently in the game if you hit start and go into your menus as you defeat an enemy there is an enemy section in the manual that shows you all of the different kinds of enemies that you found so far this will describe each enemy and how you can defeat them and each enemy themselves is different has different attack patterns and again has different strengths and weaknesses an attack type or power that works on one enemy may not be useful on another and vice versa enemies with shields will require certain attacks to better defeat them versus some other ranged enemies that you have to use certain skills to get up close to them quickly and different bosses again all have different mechanics again as you defeat an enemy type you can go on and read more about that enemy to understand how to better defeat it which will give you a leg up on fighting any more of that enemy type now while we're here we'll go over the skill menus and break down how they're set up to easily understand them so the attack skill tree is broken up in these couple sections from the middle to the bottom left are going to be your traditional combos so things like incursion are going to be your typical combo attacks that get more and more powerful essentially as you go on Additionally the onslaught combos are the same thing just different combos dealing more damage as you continue to unlock them it's important you get some of these combos these high damage ones early you can then upgrade into Rush abilities allowing you to rush the enemy and chain Rush the right skill for the attack skill also allows you to do aerial blows allowing you to attack enemies from within the air on the top right of the attack menu are your beta recharges allowing you to essentially get more beta energy using these different attacks and stunning enemies Etc again will give you more beta energy to do more beta power attacks overall giving you massive amount of damage the top left abilities are also extremely important assault which allows you to LEAP down to execute enemies Ambush which allows you to execute enemies in one shot again from behind giving you two one shot abilities here so you can charge an enemy to attack and down them these will be extremely important as you're able to unlock them next are going to be the survival skills the bottom route abilities are going to be a lot of upgrades for your Dodge mechanic allowing you to dodge much easier not only that but move and chain Dodges together to not only attack after Dodges but again do things like double dodge where you can dodge twice and other combos that you can unlock down here on the bottom the top skills are going to revolve primarily around pairing it's going to make it again easier to pair as you unlock the skills and also abilities that you can combo attack after parrying and get much better movement upon parrying as well itself and then the bottom left abilities are movement abilities such as double jump that lets you jump twice impact control where you can get up quicker if you're down by an enemy which is extremely useful for boss fights and precise Landing so that way you don't have to worry about taking fall damage because you can negate it by using this to land properly then finally again our beta skills which specialize each beta power into ually that we have each beta skill tree gives us more damage and more combo attacks that we can do with them giving us overall more damage for each skill itself you can specialize into each and every one of these that you choose and it's highly recommended you do this fairly early as possible as well to give you the best possible attack combo if you haven't liked the video already subscribe if you're new and make sure you turn those notifications on for more Stellar blade content as the game releases that being said Thank you guys peace
