This was cool but the usual nitpicks come up , why is the earth's rotation the only displacement factored in? Shouldn't the motion of the earth's revolution around the sun, the revolution of the Solar system around the galactic centre and motion of the galaxy be factored in as well?
How is he so lucky that he hasn't materialized in a wall or an SUV or something?
Why is the protagonist such an idiot?

Basic rule of time travel and/or multiverse travel. Don't kill any you's. I knew that when I was 7.
Not bad.
One thing though: the rotation of the Earth on its axis makes him appear at a different point but the Earth going around the sun doesn't do anything? He should have been spaced, no?
Nice story, but how could someone so stupid invent time travel?
