we are bored so jerry's going to sit in my chair in a few minutes so we have her hand prosthetic her iconic eyepiece and we have our right cheek and then her fingertips he's terrified he's like what the hell she gonna do what's she gonna say jerry ryan she's a place seven of nine giver of crap give her a sprout he's fun we like james this is much more involved because there were no pieces to blend nothing was supposed to look like flesh before evan's so patient he just sits in his chair quietly let's richard work and then there's me we're just layering different colors to match her skin tone into the prosthetic and then vice versa she's got a couple cute little freckles there we bring a cute little freckles into the prosthetic now for the iconic eyepiece oh boy i will say that was a trip putting that back on again sort of altered from the original what they were playing with the original sculpted piece had the flesh around it as well that just works so well because that's like the one expression that seven always had was the raised eyebrow and with the skin glued around it that didn't work so as a makeup artist when we do a test we'll try something and in the design and then the sculpture it looks great there but then when it can come to skin it might not work so we did a little alteration to this after the first time applying it we had a little meat the meat donut yeah meat done it around the edge to look like it was more into her skin uh just didn't look right so then we just cut that off really quick placed it on and everybody was happy see now we're making him nervous so let's see if he gets the my placement right the placement right me nervous i have confidence in you i know you can do it at least by the third try oh as you can see we've done it a few times that's our seven of nine board board instead of the little meaty prosthetic we came up with this little combination we do a little caulking around the edge so basically we just fill the edge that's basically caulking it in just to make a little bit of a meat just so it looks like it's kind of going in the skin a little bit instead of resting on top of it this i've worn for so many years at this point but it's it doesn't feel like it's it's not changing anymore it doesn't change so as you'll see on episode 10 when you guys are watching this it is uh currently thursday and then on monday they would like to see this up a little higher so we're frantically making a higher piece that goes into her skin and then now when you watch it on episode 10 you'll see you'll see the difference movie magic how long did the makeup take in the original series i mean like this they were just all stickers they kind of stuck them all on so it was quick i could probably do this about 30 minutes faster but i like her in my chair so i take my time oh god [Laughter] just kidding so we get that glued on and then we cut her finger off so sculpting wise at the shop they make this this is called flashing that little thin material in between there is not silicone because silicone does not deteriorate or blend so that little material is the product that we eat off with acetone which then looks like it's blended into her skin so on top of this piece is baldi's and on the other side is baldi's which that little that's on the top too yeah both sides learning stuff we were shooting block 2 at universal studios and all of a sudden on the back somebody somebody goes did our actor wearing one of the prosthetics just walk to go to the bathroom through city walk and we're like he i think he did so i ran i ran ran to the bathroom i'm like dude you can't be walking around he's like nobody knows who i am well you can see on my sides for today that's not my name emblazoned across it that was my character's name on the show i did called leverage because jonathan brakes who directed me on leverage um was directing my first episode so he came up with that pseudonym because they didn't want to use my name on anything so my character name is not alcohol sheet still my real name is not on the call sheet it's not on any scripts it's all pseudonym because they were keeping it so secret paint it so it doesn't look like silicone let me just do a little dry brushing to add a little depth one of the episodes with crazy insane number of background and these really elaborate makeups and hair and costumes so i had how many 100 extra yeah 97 makeup bars and so pretty much everybody from voyager was back working on this it was really cool yeah it was everyone yeah i was able to grab at least 10 10 artists from the original shows yeah that's my phone so at this point she goes to beauty and then she's going to come back and we're going to do a little silver and then she'll go to set in a bit seven of nine
