STALKER OP 2.2 STARTER GUIDE (Install, Tips & Early game Walkthrough)

all right boys and girls I mean I'm not really sure about that one but anyways if you want to give this absolutely ridiculous but really fun mod called op to a chance here's the video for you I will put chapters and time cutes for everything so you can find all the information you need very quickly we are going to start with a quick install guide then move to a walk through of your first steps in the mod and the early missions just to make sure that you're all set and comfortable after that we'll go over a lot of tips and information you absolutely need to know to survive and probably won't figure out by yourself easily there are a lot of add-ons you can add to the mod and I will review the one I like and use at the end of the video but everything will talk about right now is assuming you're playing the vanilla version of The Mod you will find a ton of really useful links in the video description all the sources that help me make this video The Amazing Wiki especially who's going to become your best friend friend during this adventure and a ton more info that I'm not going to cover here because this mod is just too big so make sure to check them out you can also visit the C Consciousness Discord in the op2 section to ask any questions you might have or simply talk about the brain rot the mod gave you okay first the installation it couldn't be easier I will link all the links to the wiki where you can find all the files and some extra places to download them in the video description so after getting everything you should have three files an archive with the main game files the lest patch and the extra translation files we are going to extract the game files when it's done just run the executable and install the mod on the root of your drive don't put it in program files or any other folders it will cause issues after that we'll install the patch just make sure it points correctly to the folder that was just created by the game when you installed it and then we're going to extract the translation files and copy the game data folder inside your main game folder like a lot of other older stalk mode make sure that you have dirti installed you will find the link on the wiki with all the other files then we're going to launch the game you can actually check that you have the correct version so to make sure that everything is correctly installed then to change the language you're going to go to the third option then here you're going to click okay apply and just restart game and after that you can change your resolution it's recommended to play with the full Dynamic lighting to avoid some issues with scops but besides this you're pretty much set couldn't be easier okay let's get started I'm going to play the beginning of the game and walk you through all the important things you need to know at the beginning so with Spa in Cordon we just talk to this guy use the medkit he just gave us and let's go the head bub is Crazy by default as you can see so just go to options video Advanced and we're going to turn the camera waggle all the way down to remove it there is a lot of options to change the look of your H inventory and Crosshair directly in the options make sure to check it out and pick something you like if the default one are not your cup of tea you will also find the options to cheat directly here I don't recommend using them it kind of spoils the fun and the whole point of this mod but if you get really frustrated in some missions to the point that you want to quit the mod well use them they're here for a reason you should turn on The Collector cashes though it's not mandatory but without it it adds a layer of difficulty that's really not necessary if it's your first time playing last thing if you have experience with stalker mods it will be obvious but make hard saves regularly I cannot stress enough how important it is for op2 you will [ __ ] up the mod is designed to make you [ __ ] up important NPCs will die sometimes when an important NPC dies you will receive a big red message like this so you cannot miss it you will have to come back and replay some missions so get into the habit of making heart saves on a regular basis okay with all that being said let's get started you can of course start looting around straight away and you should but I'm not going to show you everything that that's not fun just go explore just be careful and avoid mutants because yeah you're pretty much naked at the beginning the first objective is to go to rookie Village do not shoot and do not mess with the military at the bridge coming straight at them to talk is fine but if they see you trying to sneak around they will shoot you if that happens just reload your save KZ Nets off just on the other side of the bridge is a very important NPC and if he become hostiles the only way to not get soft locked later is to pay a giant among to sidorovich and we don't want to do that you can either bribe the military with vodka you can can find some a bit everywhere in Cordon if you explore around but vodka is very important so it's better to find another way you can cross through the electro tunnel but it's slow and a bit of a pain in the ass I just like to jump here above the fence just be careful with the anomalies and go right immediately after jumping on the train or the military will spot you you can also cross All the Way East but it's a bit far just be careful of the military patrolling along the road railroad if you do this and to come back you can either jump back here or same thing take the tunnel or just bribe the military you can press shift plus F to pick up objects like these small boxes it's useful to break them and loot them early game when you don't have anything to break them you can't break big boxes that way though even jumping on them so you're going to have to wait later when you have a melee weapon to do it I guess you could shoot them but it's not really worth it if you see artifacts do not pick them up without armor they will hurt you pretty badly and you have no container to protect you from the radiation anyways with an armor they will still hurt you a little bit but much less and to completely avoid the damage you're going to need special gloves that will find later we also don't have a do yet to see if we radiated but we'll get one soon enough with sidorovich okay we made it to rookie Village we're going to visit the dog first he's going to give us a potion and let's just drink it this will start the cave sequence pick up the stash equip everything all the artifacts put the battery in your Exo skeleton and make sure that all your weapons are reloaded you have a map to help you but the best way is just to explore and get familiar with it we'll have to come back here many times in the future so getting to know the place is pretty useful well I'm still going to show you how to do it so we get out of the spawn we take a right here then a left we go all the way down this hallway and we jump on this then we're going to take the first left then a right immediately and we're going to arrive in this big room you keep going straight all the way to the back of the room and on your left here there's going to be a big hallway with a lot of mutants just clean all the mutants with whatever you want it's pretty much a dream sequence so I mean you're not going to die they cannot really do anything to you anyway when you're done cleaning the hallway at the end you're going to take a right then a left and then a right and you arrive in the last room with the miner inside you're just going to talk to him he going to give you a potion and it's going to teleport you back to Cordon we wake up back completely naked in Gordon and now we can visit sedor he's going to have a long dialogue just wait for the end of it and he going to unlock the door and you will find all the loot you had on you before right in this stash we are going to take the first mission from him and then leave straight away to go speak to Wolf and then we're going to go on the rescue mission for Wolf don't forget to attach your bandages and medkits to your quick slots reload whatever gun you have so far and go meet the guys to go rescue Nimble early game even with some armor upgrades you will still die extremely fast that's normal well the good thing is that you kill pretty much anybody really quickly too and you will have to increase your bulletproof stat to start tanking shots but until then just play very carefully after killing all the bandits you can talk to Peta to get a mission from him then on your way back just ignore this boy it's more trouble than necessary for now and go rescue toik get his missions to and go back to the Village give back the mission to Wolf then take the next mission he's going to give you an artifact as a reward just put it in the stash or it's going to slowly start killing you and go see sedor back at sidorovich we're going to do a lot of things so first we're going to get our mission reward then we're going to start the main quest line then we're going to complain a little bit to get some extra ammo and now we're going to ask him why is he so joyful you won't have any notification like regular missions but this will start The Collector stashes sare Quest go to this house next you will find a hidden knot and now you can start looking for these stashes they have very good loot you should do them in every new area you arrive but they can be very hard to reach I will leave a video playlist in the description with all the locations on how to find them let's go back quickly to sidarovich and let's get this last mission from him to find an artifact you will find it around here generally but you might have to look around a bit more sometimes and you can learn how to use an artifact container at the same time but most importantly the reward will be a doy matter so we can finally see our radiation level and if we need to deal with it or not if it's eating our life away you will also get an artifact container with eight slots which is pretty much the best you can get from the GetGo which is really nice with all that being done we're going to go back to the bridge to speak to Nets off and start the deck quest line with him then we're going to ask for other jobs and we're going to get the blood sucker one this will give you your first knife for free which is really really important you can of course go kill the blood sucker and get your reward but the most important is that now we can skin mutants with the knife you can of course use it to break big boxes now but be careful because you won't have another one for a while and it doesn't have infinite durability use it mainly to skin mutants for now okay we almost done last mission let's go talk to ctia back in the rookie Village he will give you a mission to find a stash the stash is right here right in front of the rookie Village on the other side of the road and it will teleport you in the tunnel with all the anomalies which is perfect because the mission we took from Wolf just before wants us to pick documents there there's a couple artifacts here but I won't pick them right now because they're going to do too much damage to me I'm just going to leave slowly after picking everything and ctia told us that he was moving to garbage but if you're fast enough you can catch him before he leaves to get our mission reward let's go back to Wolf to give him back the documents get a brand new AK and now you can start playing for real and do whatever you want go talk to everybody get all the missions you can and go explore I'm not going to do a walk through of everything you can go to the wiki for all the next missions if you struggle with something the wiki will become your best friend anyway especially the unoted maps for all the locations that are extremely useful this was just enough to get you started and now we're going to talk about all the important things you need to know because if you never played the mod believe me most of this stuff you will have a very hard time figuring out by yourself the regular stashes are perfectly safe I know it's confusing because you get a luck in your stash to lock them but NPCs don't steal from them they're just very limited in the amount of items they can store you will have to use Rock saxs to store most of your gear but NPCs will steal from your rock saxs though and you cannot lock them to avoid having your stuff stolen the best way is to put your bags in an outof Bond area an area where NPCs cannot go a popular spot is here in rosock because it's a pretty central location in the zone but you you can find all of BN areas on pretty much all the maps just check the wiki for them if you want to and no placing your bags up high on roofs of buildings or stuff like this doesn't work only all of BNS areas are safe unfortunately the nice thing is that you can see what's in your rock sacks from anywhere which is very useful if you want to quickly check if you have enough items before accepting a mission or things like this speaking of missions every Trader or important NPC you will visit will generally have a blue and a red option on top of the regular quests the blue missions are cyclic task you can do them on repeat whenever you want on a regular basis you can see the reward you're going to get for each mission in advance so pick whatever is useful to you every cyclic task you take has a hidden 14 days timer to be completed so only take what you know you can do easily or already have the items for and of course make sure for assassination missions that it's not someone from an Allied faction the red dialogue option is for barter the first time you click it with a Trader it will add a note in your PD that you can check again later it's barter trades you can make with the trader exchanging an item for another and some can be really good and useful but be careful because most Traders have a limit of 30 B trades total it's generally not an issue but it's still good to know you will also find a ton of Chen Quest basically Quest that increase their reward every time you complete one step until a very big price at the end generally you need to do a first quest for the NPC to trust you for example right now I don't have any cyclic Quest available with aim but as soon as I do his first mission to bring the 40 zombie hands they become available chain Quest are always the last mission all the way at the bottom of the cyclic missions it's very easy to find them and his chain Quest is bringing back weapons pretty much Nimble actually has a very good one that focuses on food and medicine and if you explore and loot a bit everywhere you can do it actually pretty early game and the rewards are really good and every NPC has a team and we look for a certain type of item and there's hundreds of chain Quest available in the mod so now you can see why you shouldn't sell anything beside broken weapons and some broken armors you should keep absolutely everything and even those it's not always true I can guarantee you there will be someone somewhere at some point who's looking for the most random stuff for a quest reward or an important Mission keep absolutely everything this mod is a loot Goblin wet dream to be able to sleep you will need to buy a sleeping bag from sidorovich as soon as you have 4,000 bucks you should just buy one you cannot use it anywhere you want in Cordon you can sleep right next to the beds in the basement in garbage you have to go here in the hangar in rosock it's going to be right next to this guy I mean technically it's the usual spots where you find beds so it's not too hard to figure out be very careful of rats looking sick like these ones they are plague rats and they will give you the disease if you get close to them dead or alive this is a guaranteed slow death sentence and the only cure is very rare and expensive they give useful mutant Parts but you're going to have to wait to have the scientific suit to be able to loot them melee weapons are extremely strong especially against mutants the first one you can get easily are the fight gloves at Akim barkeep also sometimes sell a shovel that's really good the wall Fraser Mission will give you the sledgehammer and the Crowbar that you can buy in the swamps is amazing too try to get one and use it as much as you can because you're going to save a lot of ammo this way and as soon as you get access to Ros stock don't forget that the arena is an amazing way to make a lot of money early game if for whatever reason you have to kill someone on the dload or let's say you took an assassination mission by mistake and it's an Allied faction you can just pick up the fuel container or gas container put them right next to the person you want to kill and shoot them like the explosion doesn't count as you killing them and then you can loot them it's a very useful trick for some missions okay and last thing extremely important read the dialogue completely and probably sometimes you should take notes too because when someone gives you a mission you're going to have clues in the dialogue that you cannot find anywhere else you always have a small summary a small recap in the PDA of your mission but it's never going to have all the information and some Quest are just going to be impossible to figure out if you didn't read the dialogue so yeah just make sure that you read everything it's extremely extremely important okay let's talk about the agrom underground puzzle quickly it's pretty easy but just in case so when you try to go to the stock cache it's going to teleport you here so you're going to go back down then you're going to go to this big spiral staircase you're going to climb all the way up you can see the teleporter over there but when you reach the top it's going to disappear and you're going to have a notification that tells you to look somewhere else so you're going to go back to the main room where the blood suckers are there's a new spawn so be careful and the teleporter is going to be right here it's going to bring you to the tunnel don't waste time and just rush to the teleporter at the end of the hallway and then that's pretty much it you're going to be in stock hide out loot everything of course don't forget to break the boxes because one of them is going to have a device to remove the teleporters and the other one is going to have a very good armor that you actually need for mission to my advice is to completely clean the agram on the ground make a save and then start trying the teleport puzzles because of course they can be some little bugs sometime so it's easier not to touch them until you clean the whole underground first and the last thing just in case because I'm a little bit ashamed but I struggled way too long to figure this out when you go to x16 the miracle machine there's going to be planks blocking the way of the last I try to shoot them I try to break them I try to put some explosives nothing works I was very very confused actually you just need to do shift F to pick them up and move them yeah that's it and that's it pretty much okay I think it covers maybe 1% of everything you're going to find in the mod but I think it's it's enough information to get you started and now let's talk about some of the add-ons I find interesting or at least pretty useful in term of quality of life you install them pretty much all the same way you just copy the content in your main game folder I guess that if you start moding the game a lot it would be smart to use mod organizer but honestly for me like I'm barely using anything anyways the one I really like is the one that removes the plague from the rats I like the mechanic I like the idea of it but you meet them way too often in very tight areas where you cannot avoid the bodies and it was getting just too annoying everything else I Ed is pretty basic quality of life stuff what I'm going to do is that I'm going to share two files one folder with everything I use and I know is working with the latest version and another folder with everything else I found but like I haven't tested yet all the names of the add-ons are pretty much self-explanatory so it's going to be pretty easy to figure out what they do and if you want them or not and again I will leave a lot of links in the video description with places to find more if you want to all right that's it for me I'm might do if there's some interest a second video with the more advanced stuff like the artifact transmutation embryos teleporters things like this we'll see but so far I think it's
