Spreading with a Speed Skim Revised

good morning ladies and gentlemen Kirk has metaphorically taught me to get off my backside and post a few more videos so here we go let's go and have some fun this was the room originally a couple of days ago but um I gave a good old coat of PVA but then this happened the old dreaded distemper needless to say I'll let the uh almost an ideal room to spread because foreign got a blanking plate across the top of the window and there's no margin down the right hand side of the door quick tip guys if your speed skins look like this suck your life out foreign [Music] [Music] in one set without extra time but I'm getting old and uh I'd like to take it a bit easy so I'm going to put an extra time in this today and putting the whole thing on with two coats but one set which is the way basically he was taught and I've always done it so obviously knocking that one graduate mix get my first coat on all that elf then we're going to water down I've got left put my second coat on and so on the side Fork until we've got a little crowd up looking lovely so let's do it oh yeah I thought you can get many more but I'm going to be using these today replace it with it you pop them over the hunt and there's a radiator going up here and you don't want to put the blast around the screws so you stick these on instead I've been told that especially if you can't get these anymore that if you put some butter in the house and then spread over that and then the fat kind of bleeds through the plaster so you can see where they are so when I've run out of these I'll try that and I'll let you know if it works right now we're off uh I would normally use my 14 inch martial towel but today I'm going to be using my 18 inch Ox they're both five inch across the top you could say too much land on my battery all right guys anything else I'm just kidding me this hello okay so we have got the first count on and it's been gone over a plastic blade skin and there we go not the second coat um it's a technique you've probably seen on some videos before but it's where you get your speed skin again plastic one batter up the blade and spread the second coat on my net so uh let's give that a try shall we why not [Music] doing really one hit is everything's in the way so it's just gotta be in the middle of the floor because you can't think anything up against someone uh right [Music] if you've done thick the lights you know lightweight one that's a good tip you're doing your jet block code or say chip or covering um Pro curve looks exactly the same but the same cardboard on it as an original but the wage practically nothing because it's got the old polyurethane inside it and I stick it up and finish better you can literally stick it up with glue from the older [Music] you know [Music] put me [Music] using the spray skin [Music] this one it's picked up enough to get a little bit of water on there and the little blade space again okay [Music] for me Wet Brush [Music] I don't know we'll see you tonight [Music] get a little wet with my brush oh my big spray bottle so I found this one as easy as a half [Music] this is nice spray it [Music] metal blade [Music] again sometimes sorry to put it was a free bag mix and I laid on the second coat with the buttered up um free skin plastic blade and I'm really pleased with the results I've finished under that once I started putting water on with the metal blade Suite again I only tickled a little bit around the top uh with the trowel and flexi but generally this is the finish and that's how I'm leaving it under the flexible metal bladed space game yay yeah I'm very pleased with the results so where we can see that on the camera a bit as close as I can foreign [Music] [Applause] uh been great seeing you um yeah see you in the pub that's the open Trail every other Monday at seven o'clock oh well please after prepping I laid on started laying on at 10 to 12. and then it's ten to three so three hours it'll take me a minute so
