so this sorcerer the the clockwork soul is a sorcerer whose magic comes from the plane of mechanist or if in your D&D campaign you don't use the Great Wheel cosmology some other place of primal order and this clockwork energy suffuses the sorcerer and gives them the ability to impose order or restore order in the world around them they have some extra spell spells available to them that focus on protection or sort of making things right but then they have this really interesting starting feature that does something we've not yet done in one of our subclasses and that is this feature that allows you to look at a role that has advantage or disadvantage and say ah this ability allows the sorcerer to make a role essentially immune to both advantage and disadvantage the key here though is you don't get to pick it you don't get to let's say let's say the role has one effect giving it disadvantage and another effect giving an advantage the sorcerer can't decide oh I'm just going to shut off the disadvantage and leave you with advantage no because the whole idea is you're restoring something - it's sort of baseline state you make it so that disadvantage and advantage can't affect the role at all so this has the ability to not only strip advantage off a foes role against you but also strip disadvantage off roles you're making I imagine groups where there might be both a clockwork soul sorcerer and a rogue in it we'll have to be careful about not accidentally depriving the rogue of their ability to use their sneak attack we're talking about like you know if you have a really petty party the sorcerer clockwork soul sorcerer can keep on taking advantage away I don't I don't think that party is gonna last very well friends are that friendships not meant to lies yeah yeah it might be funny once in a non-critical situation but yeah so this this sorcerer is again all about setting things back to their baseline state the sorcerer were later gains the ability to enter into a trance where they you know they make it so that they can themselves ignore disadvantage and that they can make it so that many of their d20 roles will always be at least a 10 you know if they if they roll out you know 1 through 9 on it nope it's a 10 like it snaps to the average and they're their culminating feature the the capstone is my favorite feature in this subclass because it's all about summoning temporarily a group of mode ron's to clean a mess up and that mess includes healing people in the area where the mode ron's appear it includes repairing any objects you want to repair in that area and it also can include if you so choose stripping magic off of creatures and objects in that area again trying to get things back to their baseline state so these mode runs appear do some repairs on you know both creatures and objects and then vanish and you know it's a very powerful ability in that if course is in a large cube area right because mode ron's even though all sorts of shapes are associated with them most of the time when we think of mode ron's we think of a cube yeah we do the circle one is very a dis fear shaped one is very cute though yeah any wings yeah this is like one took me a little while to on but yeah look if you're in a fight with vector and you just are all the negative effects and negative buffs are on us or go you take 100 hit points and spread them amongst everybody and also anything that's been destroyed around us is repaired yeah that's a nice pretty set yeah yeah it's yeah a second chance yes yeah yeah yeah it's a good uh boss boss battle type of fight is there's like a lot of great description tuned this is what I like about what you guys do with the sorcerers now you have kids in someone's eyes and then we have a brass texture you know we we have been more and more pushing our sorcerers toward having connections to different planes of existence leaning into this idea that they have been shaped in some way by the special qualities of different planes in the multiverse and so here we were exploring what would it be like for a sorcerer who get who got their innate magic from this plane of supreme order
