[Solved] VirtualBox : Failed to import appliance | Result Code:E_INVALIDARG(0x80070057)

hello and welcome in this video tutorial we are going to learn how to solve the import error in virtualbox so let's get it started i have just downloaded a dot ovf file of kali linux when i double click on it to import and open in the virtualbox i get the import error let's see how to solve it for now click on ok here and click on cancel go to the file location which is c drive users currently logged on user that is msi in my case and virtualbox pmg delete this folder then open your browser source for 7g download the exe file for 64 bit and install it now go to the folder where the ova file is located right click on it click on 7-zip and click on extract to call linux wait until the extraction is complete click on close next double click on the folder here we can see that ovf and dot bmdk files we will use this pmdk file which is like the hard disks with kali linux os already installed on it let's go back to the virtual machine click on machine menu and click on new let's give the name as kali 2021 leave the machine folder as the default selected type is linux and the version is deviant64 let's increase the ram to 4096 mb so that it runs faster than with the currently set 1gb of ram here click on use an existing virtual hard disk file click on this folder icon click on add and locate the vmdk file now click on the choose button and click on create that's all kali linux is now ready to run on the virtualbox to power on the kali linux click on start just hit enter key and now it's starting up as you can see it's open now to login enter the default username that is kali and the password also kali k-a-l-i that's it we are now logged into the kali machine to get it fully screen click on the view menu and click on full screen mode having dot ovf really makes the installation easier and faster but when you get import errors you can solve the errors as soon in the video okay guys that's it for this video i hope the video was useful to you please subscribe the channel and hit the bell icon thanks for watching see you in other videos till then have a nice time goodbye
