SOLO NEX - Full Beginner Guide - T70 Gear & No Overloads / Curses

this video is going to be a solo guide for next now we're going to go through a beginner method with low level gear and without all the fancy upgrades and then I'll quickly go through a high level method so you can get faster kills with things like split soul and all of that sort of stuff probably going to be quite a long one so bear with let's get started so to be able to fight next you will have to gather the Frozen key pieces from around the god Wars dungeon 1 this means that you'll have to have 70 strength 70 Constitution 70 agility and 70 ranged to access the zones to be able to get each of these pieces of keys you'll get one piece from the Bandos the zamak the sodomin and the armadil encampments from around godwell dungeon once you've collected them all you can combine the key and then you can use that to enter the ancient prison now this room doesn't require you to get a kill count if you have a full set of ceremonial robes which you want to buy from the grand exchange if you have access to it as for Ryan man you'll have to gather this as a drop okay so starting off with the gear preset now I have made myself much less than what you would probably ideally want to have just to show that you can do it without things like overloads and the DPS curses and all that sort of good stuff so if you do have any improvements at all to what I'm using then make sure to bring it along that being said for the W equipment I am using the tier 70 necromancy DPS Gear with no perks at all including the main hand weapon and the offhand weapon both of these are the tier 70 as well with the tier 70 weapon you do have the death grass special attack which is going to be important for the blood phase I am using a defense skill K because it gives a sign of life and I'm also using a saradomin god book because it's a cheap version for a pocket slot so that's what I used I'm using an amulet of glory and a ring of death now I know the ring of death is quite expensive but I think this is probably by far the best ring if you do have it for learning any boss because if you do die right towards the end it gives you that chance to finish off the kill and get your drop if you don't have this then a Ring Of Fortune or ring of vigor anything like that is absolutely fine as for an aura I used the vampirism Aura but I would suggest using magat or dark magic or anything like that to increase your DPS and then finally there's my Nexus just to hold all of my necromancy stuff in the inventory I didn't use overloads I used an extreme necromancy potion however I would recommend having overloads if you can grab them it's going to be a lot easier this was just to please the people who are like ah you have to have overloads and you have to have the 95 curses and all this sort of stuff you don't next is a super prayer renewal which you can buy in the grand exchange this will help reduce the drain rate of your prayer an adrenaline renewal or adrenaline potion whichever one you can get your hands on any version is good vulnerability bombs to help increase your DPS for very little effort a Power Burst of Vitality to help you with the ice face I'll talk about that when we get there the enhance Excalibur gives you a bit of healing over time so if you haven't got this it's definitely worth the grind then I have two super restore potions just to put my prayer back up through the fight and then the rest is just saradomin bruise and I used green blubber jellyfish of course if you're learning you may want to upgrade the greens into blue blubber jellyfish for the extra bitty healing once again I have no perks and I am not using overloads and I will not be using DPS curses either but of course if you're going to be going to do next I suggest you use all of these if you have access to them finally for a familiar I used the ice Nill which only requires eight 7 summoning and is best in slotting next cuz it boosts your accuracy which for necromancy just translates straight to damage one last thing for the beginner bit I will not be using any incantations at all well except for bone Shield which is going to let me use my defensives other than that though I won't use Darkness I won't use the L transfer I won't use feds of fate or anything like that however again if you have them make sure to use them okay so the next fight in a nutshell is you have to deal damage to NEX until she reaches a threshold of health and then you can kill the Minions that are placed around the room there's four of these once you kill each minion you'll then deal more damage to next until you reach the next phase and kill the next minion and so on until you've killed all of them and then you can finally finish off next each time you kill a minion though you will trigger a different phase which will have different mechanics and different things you have to do to deal with that phase so we'll break down each phase here and talk about the mechanics in each one okay so for phase one you will be using protect from Magic there's a couple of mechanics to keep an eye out for the first one is you will have to start the fight off with anticipate or freedom to ensure that NEX does not drag you towards her which will let stun you and knock off your prayer you'll want to rotate between anticipate and freedom throughout the first phase while she's attacking you to make sure this doesn't happen once phase one is done this will no longer happen the only other mechanic that she has in this phase is she will call out the words there is and then say No Escape when you see her say there is you want to be on the outer edge of the arena and not on any of the staircases towards the center you can either use Escape like you see me doing here to make sure you're on the Outer Edge or just start the fight on the arch Edge in the first place if you're in front of her when she says No Escape she will Dash from one of the edges into the center this will knock you down and deal a good amount of damage phase one those are the only mechanics you need to think about so when the fight starts you will have a little bit of time while she's calling out all the Minions names for you to be able to cast all of your conjures and use their command abilities as well and use any potions or incantations like darkness that you may want to use when the fight starts use anticipate immediately throw a vulnerability bomb and then just focus on DPS while keeping an eye out for those mechanics make sure to have anticipa and freedom up so that you don't get dragged and then she says there is beyond the outside of the Arena as for dealing damage to NEX with lower Tier gear focus on using your command skeleton is going to do a lot of damage and also use the Ability bloat unless you're in the blood phase we'll talk about the blood phase when we get there once you reach your 160,000 life points head to fumus which is the first minion that you can see me going to here kill the minion off and then deal some damage to Nex to move into the next phase if at any point you do get dragged towards next just make sure to press Freedom if you have it and then put your prayer back up as soon as possible for phase two you're going to be praying protect from ranged this phase also has two mechanics to pay attention to the first one is a shadow where will say above her head fear the shadow a shadow will appear underneath your character and you just have to step to be able to get off of it as soon as you see next say fear the shadow just make sure you move your character at least one tile and you'll be absolutely fine not moving will mean that you take 50% of your max Health as damage if it's easy for you you can just keep stepping in this phase to make sure it doesn't actually get on you next mechanic is called Embrace Darkness next will literally say Embrace darkness and then the room will go a bit darker you don't have to worry about this mechanic on necromancy just don't be a melee distance to NEX as long as you're not in melee distance this mechanic literally doesn't matter being in melee distance causes your character to take typeless damage rapidly so just don't be from here you just want to deal damage to her again until she reaches 120,000 Health once you've reached that you'll head over and attack Umbra which is the next minion going clockwise around the room then once he is dead attack next again to go into the blood phase phase three the blood phase is probably one of the ones that people struggle with the most but it's a lot easier with necromancy as you are killing Umbra to enter the blood phase don't use any of your fingers of death and don't throw your volley of souls use your soul sap and use Touch of death to get necrosis stacks and to get Soul Stacks as well this is because to get through blood phase comfortably you want to deal a high amount of damage very quickly so the way blood phase works is you will have to get her from 120,000 life points to 880,000 life points as quick as possible because the mechanics in the blood phase are designed to heal her back up which can then extend the fight and make it a lot more difficult but don't worry the rotation I'm going to show you will get you through nice and quick okay so the mechanics that you need to know about for the blood phase is one you cannot use any bleed attacks on NEX whatsoever so do not use bloat here and if you're on any of the combat style don't use any bleeds or damage over ham effects at all these will just heal next instead of dealing damage then she has the mechanic called blood siphon NEX will yell a siphon will solve this then she's going to spawn two blood reavers in the room which you can just completely ignore and she'll start to Glow during this time if you attack next you're only going to heal her instead of dealing damage so don't attack her between this mechanic ending and the start of the next mechanic is going to be your window to deal with as much damage as possible the next mechanic is called blood sacrifice next will say I demand the blood sacrifice and one person in the room which will be you if you're in a Solo will turn completely red don't worry this is your character being embarrassed you are being marked to heal next your goal here is to be at least seven spaces away from Nex after 4 seconds this is a lot easier than it sounds just use surge in the opposite direction from Nex and you'll be absolutely fine if you don't get away from next in time she will heal for your maximum life points and deal 10% % of your max Health to you so make sure you do get away otherwise you're going to be extending this fight a lot so while this may sound complicated this phase is actually really easy now with necromancy so as you are killing Umbra again make sure to have soul stacks and make sure to have necrosis stacks and then tag next also ensure that you have your coners up ready to go and they're not about to expire if they are about to expire just don't kill umra straight away wait for them to come back up conjure them and then go through to the next phase as soon as the blood siphon starts you're going to throw a vulnerability bomb on next to make sure it is still on make sure you have protect from magicon and then just wait for Nex to be attackable without healing her as soon as NEX is attackable again use your command skeleton ability and then throw everything on her use your fingers of death for your necrosis Stacks use your volley of Souls and then use Touch of death and finger of death again if she's not already phased at this point you may have to deal with the blood sacrifice so just surge away from her or dive or whatever you're going to do and then use your main hand special attack and she should be phased through this one cycled for me nice and easy with just a extreme necromancy potion not overloads no DPS curses and no DP PS Aura so you should have no problem as long as you are using your souls you're using your necrosis stacks for finger of death and then you use your weapon special attack once she hits 880,000 life points she will no longer heal up from any mechanic so just head over to crew or the next minion clockwise and kill him off then you're going to move into the ice phase which I would now say is by far the most difficult phase once creu is dead you'll move into the ice phase in the ice phase there's another couple of mechanics that you need to learn about but aren't too difficult to figure out the first one is going to be the ice prison now before we talk about it it's probably worth noting that you can either start with this one or the next one depending on which mechanic you end the previous phase on but I wouldn't worry about it too much as it's not a big deal so for the eyes prison NEX will yell above her head saying die now in a prison of ice this mechanic will cause your player to become stunned and placed inside a prison of ice which then after a couple of seconds you will take a 6,000 to 8,000 typeless damage hit next we also use an auto attack on you immediately as soon as it triggers the damage which hitting you could end up killing you in one hit the EAS just way to deal with this is to just use a power burst of Vitality while you are in the prison and this will double your health meaning that there's no way that you can actually die from this in one hit the only issue with this though is that if you get a second prison during the actual fight you are not going to be able to use this as the cool down of the potion is pretty long if you get the prison a second time what you need to do is use Freedom or use anticipate before it hits you make sure you are on high Health by eating up and then use resonance before the actual Prison Breaks this isn't going to block the damage from the prison typeless hit but it will stop his Auto attack from killing you off in fact if you do actually manage to get the resonance it will heal you up a little bit making it even easier for you you could barricade this instead but it's not really worth spending the 100% adrenaline on just use resonance make sure your health is high through food and then you should absolutely be fine with practice at next you'll likely only see one prison or two at the most however while learning I wouldn't be surprised if you do see three maybe even four but just use the same thing eat lots of food and use resonance each time and you'll be okay the second mechanic you can notice this happening by next saying contain this when she does this she will likely run towards your character or where the location of your character was and then ice crystals will appear around her which will stun you if you get hit by it and you'll also drop your prayer and take a pretty decent amount of damage now sometimes NEX will do this stupid thing where she will just chase you like a homing missile and you will not get away unless you surge you'll see this happening to me in the clip here if you do get hit by it though just hit freedom and then eat up and you'll be okay put your prayer back onto magic as soon as you can these are the only two mechanics in this phase other than that you just need to focus on doing as much damage as you can to make her reach 40,000 life points and then kill glacies make sure you kill glaes as quick as possible because then you can tagger into the next phase meaning that you won't see any more of the actual ice prisons it's also worth noting that during this phase Nexus attacks are going to drain your prayer points a bit more than usual so keep an eye on that make sure your prayer is up high use the super restores if you need to and just make sure you don't run out cuz running out of prayer could very easily mean death once you hit 40K kill off the minion tag next and you're into the Final Phase the Final Phase is probably the easiest phase surprisingly next is just going to attack you with magic and melee so just keep protect from magicon as these hits can hit ridiculously high then just focus on dealing damage to necks use your bleeds use your skeleton and just kill her until she's dead if you're using the necromancy DPS gear the tier 70 there's a good chance that you'll have the invoke death or the death Mark applied to next at this point meaning that she will instantly die when she reaches about 20,000 life points during this phase next can use S split so she may heal up a little bit here and there and if she does hit you as she gets the instakill mechanic on her she will end up with like 2,000 or 1,000 Health again just hit her one more time and she'll likely die during this phase you may need to use things like reflect or resonance as you do take heavy damage but just use these as you seem fit and just focus on doing damage it's worth noting as well that her hit cap is actually maxed here so using things like your main hand special attack or using things like finger of death here won't hit all that high you're going to know notic that it does cap out pretty low so just focus on things like your death skulls your volley of Souls and things like your bleeds and whatnot your skeleton and you'll get through this nice and easy with that done you've now know how to kill next and you've got yourself a kill congratulations okay so the kill for people that are using higher end gear and want to get faster kills what should you do differently well of course you have bigger upgrades in terms of gear so you likely have an essence of finality with the tier 90 weapon in there you'll still use this for the blood phase but the main difference that you're going to have is wanting to be using the split soul ability with high level gear and more DPS you can very easily use the darkness incantation and the split soul incantation to Output a ton of DPS getting through the fight nice and easy your goal is basically going to be use split Soul as often as you can and just keep soul split on through the entire fight you may want to protect from Magic during the ice phase and the Final Phase as in the ice phase if you don't protect from Magic you can get Frozen in place and then in the last phase obviously her hits can be insanely high so it might be worth protecting magic there too otherwise everything else is more or less the same same The Mechanics Work exactly the same as mentioned before you're just going to be dealing a hell of a lot more damage if you're looking for the fastest kills then of course use the full tier 95 first Necromancer set the zook Cape is going to help out an absolute Ton you're still going to stick with the ice Nill for the extra accuracy meaning damage but otherwise it's more or less the same just with more damage output don't forget to apply things like smoke cloud your vulnerability bombs any incense sticks that you're going to be using and of course you're going to have disruption Shield to help with taking any hits during the ice phase I'll put on screen now a higher level preset for to copy if you want this but otherwise I would assume that you understand the mechanics of the fight and
