So I Tried Surviving in the Future as a Cat...

[Music] so for the past six to 12 months I cannot believe how many of you guys have suggested that we take a look at this and I never thought I would and not because I don't like cats it's actually the opposite I feel like they don't like me I'll give you an example when I was 14 my friend's cat hacked me on the mouth now if you don't know what I mean by that it's basically that thing where they hold their power up and they just go and it hit me so bad in the mouth it cut my mouth open on the inside I had to go straight to the emergency room and I don't know if that unlocked like some weird subconscious fear of them like being around them or something and that kind of had a knock-on effect but that's my experience with cats however when we played ancestors I got something from that game I've never experienced in any other game before and I'm guessing that's why you guys have suggested stray now if you guys watching this like me have never experienced this before this is what it says lost alone and separated from family a straight cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long forgotten Cyber City and find their way home welcome everyone stray [Music] that's adorable was it been like 10 seconds and I've already melted just by a cat jumping up but the screen just peeking okay I can tell how this is gonna go is this our family then is this where we've been staying the lighting is really impressive look at that when the flashes of lightning go off I like that a lot okay here we go then so we stood up stretching our legs a little bit oh is this us oh look at him with his green eyes it's gonna be Parker on his way around this world in no time okay so last video then guys is generally just like what we always do but we just take a look and see what's going on with this and if we like it then who knows right what we're doing here what's this oh no way oh I can already tell what's gonna oh there it is look at this look at his paw that's what happened to me now I obviously know it wasn't intentional at least I hope it wasn't when I walked past my friend's cat but he just bapped me right on the mouth and then his claw caught the inside of it he didn't heal for like what felt like seven years oh they're fighting they really are adorable I just know this is gonna make me want to adopt a cat it really is I can already tell as well like the similarities between this little guy and Bruno already like the little air flicks and stuff and the cute little movements what's this one gonna do the noises too oh there's something really really enjoyable about these type of games I mean I know you guys enjoyed ancestors just as much as I did but this too I can already tell it's got the same thing this looks way more impressive than I thought he did on the uh on the images that I saw it was actually like a a city that I saw it in with neon lights and then there was like robots and things which would obviously make sense because I believe we are in like a uh Cyber City right now which is decaying as well look at that they're on a box like a soggy box it's durable and lay down next to him nice and warm we all waking up about to go looking for some food or something yeah there we go nice big stretch the Wise One On The Edge just looking out you never really see that either or at least I don't where I live for like straight cats or cats just like all together like this it's very rare that you ever come across that at least again like I was saying where I live you just see the solitary cat just sat on a fence or a shed or something inside the wall wow look at that so once again this city is apparently decaying so what's this like a dam or something and it's so crazy as well like I know this sounds super obvious but because I'm not around cats a lot and I would always imagine they're very very different but they're not all that dissimilar like cats and dogs they have very similar characteristics in like things that they do like the cutesiness and things that they have I mean obviously they are massively different in their own ways but like certain things that this little guy's just been doing really reminds me of Bruno my French Bulldog look at this oh wow okay it's so crazy with a little bit of concrete with overgrowth and some rusty pipes can do look at that so yeah wait what is this all right where are we going let's see what we got to do getting way too distracted oh what are you doing over there little guy are they just oh they're following Pace with me beats and meow okay oh I remember this okay I remember the uh the reviews getting way out of hand with people saying 10 out of 10 would meow again an infinite meow is a must and stuff like that it was all over Twitter when this thing released okay let's jump up yeah I have no idea what this was I thought it was like some kind of dam or something but I don't think it is it like somewhere where just crap gets put to the side and dumped it's really really pretty though oh wow oh look at that that looks so good was that cat just doing that thing on the tree then oh wait we can do it wait you can actually wait so oh you gotta hold it hold on wait what's going on what am I doing wrong oh no I can't catch oh okay there we go we just got to press it a little bit quicker so we sharpening our claws so you can just infinitely do this like you want to spend hours just scratching away like sharpening your claws oh does this actually serve a purpose I mean I don't care either way that's that's really cool just to see that the fact that that's been put there to do that it didn't have to be but it's an option these guys are just sticking around waiting up for me as well you notice that they're not just leaving and going off into the distance that looks so good oh wow definitely getting that survivory feel we're out in the wild gotta rely on each other to find some food water place to stay it's nice and safe where are we going guys I'm taking this really slow too because it's just so much to take in oh wait we got a little bit something to drink where's it coming from okay so maybe it isn't waste then maybe it's just like a water plant or something like that there's no hood either everything is super clean so maybe it's just like an expected thing that you're supposed to or there's a chance that you will get it and just assume that obviously you're just doing what a normal cat would in this scenario which is very clever I can't get over that like falling water over there you guys know I've got a thing for environments this one has been done so well so far look at that all the rebar coming out the concrete all right here's where we die I'm calling it that's a long way down too it's over there we've got a little door over there there's more of these barrels what is all this business where's my family going what are you doing you worried so many questions oh I've just realized as well I remember what I uh I read about this we um we apparently get split up or separated from our family so that's going to be heartbreaking anyway now I'm guessing I got a little door here oh is this just to climb on them okay we know oh you can get up there look at this I can totally understand as well why so many people enjoy this I mean don't get me wrong I'm having a blast so far I've been what a couple of minutes look at that he's already said so much without saying anything either like very very clever I like this oh we can get up there oh not how confident I would be about being on this so cool looking all right let's keep it moving then oh the little one's just going down there oh it's just done what that one's done like hopping straight across all these these pipes right let's do the same then all day to chain the jumps okay let's go oh the noise is too can we see the bottom oh no that is a seriously big drop it's trying to work out what this thing is at first I thought it was like waste or like I kept saying before a damn or something but I'm gonna go with that I guess some kind of water plant we've got to be looking for food too I hope I've not missed anything by the way like anything we're supposed to be getting I'm gonna let my family go hungry oh look at all this opening up here too so many different elements that we've just gone through already and it's so laid back too there's no like over emotional music it's just literally so genuine you're just a cat walking through just a random area trying to survive oh I don't know if I like that oh yeah no I'm not a fan of that oh close cam Sun's peeking through now okay we gotta climb all this seem like something makeshift up there LT to observe oh there we go okay that's gonna help a lot so we can pick her up stick around what's going on oh they're doing the parkour thing here we go the physics of this are so fluid too like watch the way the cat drops down you see how it kind of flicks like from nose to tail it's it's not just happened did we pass out what's behind that I have no idea what that was I fully expected there to be like an old cat or something that was going to show us the way through the sewers or something like that oh look at that just licking his wounds are we good got a little bit of a rest oh yeah we're walking better now Okay so I do want to have a little look around we're seeing little signs of the uh the futuristic style now like this all this business I saw that with the door back there I kind of want to jump in that but I also don't want to turn into like the cat Hulk or something you know right let's turn around let's go to where that door was some freaky [ __ ] dude why is there just a mannequin torsoever like a shopping cart like that what and you can't really like to interact with the water either to drink can we pop stuff oh wait you actually oh no I guess you can move it and when I say pop guys I hope you know what I mean when the cat just goes like that smacking stuff you know what I'm talking about you've seen the videos where it just like knocks cups of water and stuff off table I don't have a cat so I can't say that's happened to me but I've seen it all the time where cats do it I think it's just to be a dick as well to be honest if I was a cat I'd probably do the same there's nothing to eat out the uh at the trash that's so satisfying can you get the can too yeah everything you can kind of rummage through all right let's go through go through here no way back okay bottle there dead City oh look at that up ahead so this is the future then this is what it's like you know in some like games like this where you look around at the environment and you can almost smell what's going on I just got that then you can just imagine what this would be like everybody huddled together especially in a city that's falling apart we can't drink that water there either right okay so we're in the uh what the hell I thought they were like droids or something they're not or maybe they are like they're almost like a fleshy looking Droid or something [Music] you gotta watch out for that I mean this looks incredible I kind of like I mentioned before I saw shops like saw like this over here with the the lights on in the back this kind of deal and then the the lighting always looks good at night time especially with Neons but back then and then the transition to here oh we gotta go up oh being watched can we pack the camera we're peeking where are we going drop down ah there we go there's something honestly so honest about these types of games though and obviously we found that out with ancestors too oh just you the environment and the adventure you create there's more of those weird things I don't know if we're supposed to be worried about them or they're more worried about us because they keep leaving up into this little guy is that a commission so much to look at as well oh no other reason right and just just to be a cat oh wait we can get up there too here we go and over here I get it now I do I totally get it just going around climbing on things seen it from a cat's perspective what is this sign oh we're being watched again no trumpets in this area I'm guessing there's no music but that's such a weird sign just to see randomly like that oh there's another robot so this is all new to us then right oh me help maybe we have been here before but we stay on the outskirts just for like a safety reason or something but having said that we did fall down so I don't know if this is kind of outside of where we would explore with our family or something you said this there's some kind of mystery going on as well some ancient mystery that we have to solve which I'm really interested about oh this looks so good [Music] music's though let's just try real quick no okay you can't go around there so there is almost like a set path you've got to follow makes sense there's a lot to go on here so you probably take like weeks if it just picked up the bucket for no reason I mean we gotta do something with it catch water or something I don't know all right let's keep it moving are we going up there and go through the door the supposed to be paying attention to what's going on in here but yeah we have to remember that with the fans look for buckets and stuff oh here we go so this is going to be the pap isn't it yep here we then watch the Paw so good get off there every single one of these things is going off I'm gonna be all the cat I can be see I don't think this is limited to a cat though I absolutely believe dogs would do this too they're just not as patient as cats at least I think so like where we're going from here this way no definitely not way that way over there up this way there we go okay so I just needed to kind of get the right angle and then we're up oh again and the thing is the cat would not care about that either so we want to come down now oh we can drop from pretty high up to I didn't see that right I don't want to go through the window so let's get that there oh careful now follow me oh the angles are a bit weird here it's like locking me into into one position what's this oh it's doing that right that's what this is yeah I've seen cats do this before dogs do this as well like they mold you into the position like any owner of a cat or a dog will know when they get comfortable they'll do this on you for a good couple of minutes and they'll mold you into a position that they want you to be in while they fall asleep on you okay where are we going there's so much to see though like I want to try and keep keep things moving along but so this just means that they're comfortable right just like dogs like they're they're finding a comfy space again that's just another thing you can do for hours can we jump on there let's knock all this [ __ ] over nice little alien over there see that would be a bit of a plot twist if there's like aliens and stuff in this world we're just a lonely little cat with a whole bunch of crap going on around us I thought that was one of those uh floor cleaner things what they call roombas or something we get a drink there you go little guy worked up a thirst all the climbing around the city so far some dirty [ __ ] left the fridge open all the stink out all right let's keep it moving looks so good though can we knock this stuff off yeah we can everything we can it's going off and into the bucket so cute and down oh yeah the environment they've created is so so good oh hello first little jump scare those things get okay yeah so I think they're scared of me then because they keep moving away where did they go on this way oh that little guy's awake or he's he's at least got powers got power or something oh does he need help oh come out nowhere and then just try to it looked like they were trying to latch on and eat me or something where's this going oh that's gonna fall [Music] no we're good onto the pipe oh yeah the fact that you can't see the box in there like that come on get over there I'm gonna keep saying it guys but this world is so well done it really really is you get a lot of like copy and paste stuff when you come across things like this like minor changes to make it feel like you're in a new area but no this definitely feels like new areas okay little guy there you go working stuff out and down so I mean the objective right now is to R can we play with this this is Bruno's favorite thing in the entire world by the way you guys don't know what I'm talking about when I say that again it's my French Bulldog you want to see what it looks like there's plenty of pictures over on Twitter I'm sure you've probably seen them in the videos thrown around some manscape stuff but yeah he loves this type of stuff he's chasing balls around all day but his basketball is his favorite thing ever and at least what 500 times a day I've got to go and take him out in the garden to play it even if I'm exhausted we're gonna take him out but yeah the whole point is that we gotta find our family right and there's some kind of mystery going on we're seeing that with the uh Electronics when we're we're meowing and those things back there they've got to play some part in it too where are we going we're gonna climb up there so onto this and then can we move this no okay so I'll be honest with you guys I was a little bit stuck then I mean I have been looking around in between certain areas but I just went inside of this because I noticed it was way too far away to get up there where he's pointing me to go and I couldn't get on this light here but if you go inside to this and then just one look at that nice so now we jump up and then up there and climb on this section park or our way across oh I hope none of that stuff breaks I know it's gonna happen I shouldn't say that [Music] I thought that was it I thought it was over this little guy come on get up there yeah there it is the lighting point in the way again subtle but really really effective let's get up here oh yeah look at us navigating this this world with ease push it over and hop down then I'm guessing this way so if you get stuck the something by doing that like over here I mean I definitely don't want to jump on that but you guys know what I'm saying if there's any spots that we can find I'll try can't promise anything though are everyone knows that it's impossible to leave this place well except The Outsiders well they're all gone now except Momo oh that's gonna be human right can try and talk to him if you want but he gave my notebook I was the last to join The Outsiders and I'm also the last remaining one and is that everything no no there we go that's balthazar's notebook right I never quite understood what he was talking about most of the time he was very wise wait you actually found all my friends notebooks oh what's that note the transceiver can be repaired that's incredible that means we should be able to communicate outside of the slums Clementine about the side doc I'm sorry I doubted our cause I promise you I will find a way to reach the surface thank you we might be able to find your way up now friends might still be out there if there is a way out they'll know it gain the new item so we got the transceiver you're the only one small and quick enough to evade the zergs we need you a little Outsider so I'm an outsider now now do I should I put like my paw print in one of the notebooks or something just to prove I was an outsider bring us to the sky nice so I'm basically a guinea pig at this point but I'm fine with it let's go exploring all right so is this a new section then so he's just basically let me through that's why I had like the uh scanner on the window then yeah this is even more run down or at least it looks like it's under construction so I think guys this is where we're going to end if you want to see more of stray I don't know if it's too long I don't think it is
