Smack Studio (Smash Brothers meets Mugen)

hey guys this is mood Lord here and I just want to talk about a particular game or an engine or something that I stumbled upon that really caught my interest and I really wanted to share it with you guys because you guys love fighting games then you definitely would love this in my personal opinion so before we dive into this video make sure you hit the Subscribe button notification Bell for more gaming content here on this channel so for those of you guys who may know I started this channel off playing moving I just love to create things anything that has a creation tool to it I just love to put my mind in imagination to use and just to see it come to life you know this is the main reason why I started LLC to start my own comic book company because I really want to create my own comic book Universe very interested in doing that and the very first creation tool that I ever used was RPG Maker I love RPGs and I always wanted to create RPGs as my own and then eventually I stumbled upon Mugen and was introduced to the program and ever since then and I love making my own stories building my own rosters when it came to moving in itself now even though I don't really cover much moving anymore even though my name is Moon Lord I kind of shifted my channel um you know to just talk about gaming in general more specifically fighting games and jrpgs but I still have love for moogan I still have love for creation tools and to be able to create my own type of content and it's appeared that there's another creation tool that's being in development right now that it's very interesting and I just want to give you an idea of what this creation tool is like just imagine this you love fighting games and you also love more so more specifically platform Fighters like Super Smash Brothers Rivals of aethers and many other platform you know Fighters that's out there now you take the fighting game genre and we go more specifically to the platform genre and then we take moogan itself when it comes to the whole creation aspects and be able to create your own type of content for it and then you just mix it together and you got a brand new engine or a game um called smack Studio smack studio is really really interesting I don't know why it popped up in my feed and next thing you know just that tagline you know a fighting game for artists and this would more so definitely hit You artist guys out there ladies and gents like if you're a Twitter artist you deviantART artist now you better take your creations and bring it to life and it's very simple and easy you don't even have to be a professional artist anybody can do it with smack Studio is pretty much an engine that allows you to take 2D art 2D Sprite work and then they convert it into 3D and the engine does all the work for you you be able to add bone structures to it in order for you to be able to create the character it morphs into 3D and then after that you'll be able to create the hitboxes create your own move set for your characters I think it's just wild and it's wicked I told my brother DX strike about it because he's an artist if you guys don't know and I say yo this is something also for you it's because you you sit down you draw on your digital pad all the time can you imagine putting your own characters in this and if you're a Smash Brothers fan or you just love platform fighters in general this is another way to be able to create your own platform game now another thing that's interesting about it is on their website because right now it's in the alpha stages it eventually go into beta where everybody's going to test it out but what happens is you anybody can be able to create their characters and then you upload it onto their server so you will be able to download the characters onto your game itself so you'll be able to build your own roster create your essentially your own platform fighter which I think is pretty interesting be able to ounces balance it out the way you want to balance it out when it comes to how the characters function their movement speed hitboxes and the whole nine yards so pretty much the sky's the limit when it comes to your imagination and plus it's also a four player so you'll be able to create your own type of competitive type of scene with this and also on top of that it's also a 3D stage editor so it's easy for you to be able to create your own 3D levels and stages so I love creation tools I love how people can come together and come up with these crazy ideas which I pretty much missed the ball and on when it came to uh dreams which was another creation tool that was on the PlayStation platform that was on the PlayStation platform never got around to getting around to actually using that but now it's officially shut down but here's another creation tool that you can possibly use and I I see potential than this I can see that this can actually become something much bigger than what it actually is you know and we already seen I already seen players like Mewtwo King actually give it a try um and then he essentially likes the likes what it's going he actually made his own character um as well which I think is pretty cool so I'm definitely going to give this tool a try um they have a their new YouTube channel so I'll put the link in the description option below so you can go to their YouTube channel subscribe to them tell them they're moving Laura sent you because I think this is this is this really has potential I can see me sitting there for hours literally messing with this and if you guys love moving I can see you and you love Smash Brothers I can easily see you guys coming over and actually adopting this and it doesn't look uh I would say intimidating that at all where you just have people who don't design things or not pixel art artists or artists in general are able to create their own characters and actually sit down in the engine in the lab itself to be able to create their own characters which I just think is cool now the next thing I think would pretty be pretty cool eventually it I think it would be nice to be able to add your own music into the game itself as well so you can make your game even more personalized have your own version of it so the sky's the limit with this this is like moving all over again but for more of the platform fighter side of things I think this is pretty interesting so I can't wait to see where this is going to go and uh hopefully I will hope this will blow up so check it out guys so that pretty much wraps up this video just wanted to make this real
