all right hello everybody welcome welcome it's uh wednesday i'm gonna feel exactly like wednesday but it is wednesday certain of that yeah uh it's wednesday so it's like inspired time uh and because i still have it all enabled i wanted to do it now if i disable all the mod soup all to find all the mods again so i figure before we go back to the character mods we still have a good number of those don't you worry uh we have one more class the mod soup now last time we did this it was actually pretty disappointing uh a lot of the mod soup uh mods that's my way of just saying all these like hubris conspire aspiration reliquary a lot of these are like ah collection of relics and cards and and such for the base uh classes but by base classes they mean three they don't mean watcher a lot of the times so the watcher we'll see what we get you know [Music] i know there's one i remember uh we saw guard stance but anyway look at the watcher get a pure water it's getting lower than normal i turn it down some like there that sounds better in my ear ah the amazing kelly thank you very much for the sub but yeah welcome welcome see we're gonna see what sort of watcher editions we have i just noticed it sounded low there's no real loss here right cool it's free real estate it's been a while wrath you feel and take double damage calm you gain uh two energy i'm leaving so [Music] all right um the middle relic is just odd pick up between random starter relic it doesn't do anything other than make this function m c subtle thank you very much for the sub all right i see a four i'm gonna easy fights let's start finding a fun plan a lot of different ideas within the watcher i love carved reality [Music] like this is effectively a strike that gives you a cool strike and this is a block that can be saved until it's relevant those are both interesting and powerful abilities [Music] perseverance my gut tells me to go with spite there so i want to just try the opposite to see what happens um you deal double damage huh [Music] yeah we can win with double damage it doesn't go away huh so grave means it starts in your graveyard guard is double block but you deal almost no damage mantra lets you set up uh divinity form guard is the one that we've seen on a couple of the the other um mod like the the mod soup ones uh you you gain double block but you deal 10 damage aka zero damage yeah that that sounds like not enough damage hello hello uh wow this is waving iron oh okay so that's ten block then right because scry makes you discard a card we'll deal five damage it becomes iron wave oh oh iron wave i see that's the joke oh well i remember liking skry like if you get enough if you get enough scry going on then there are payoffs but empty bodies like that's the there's the neutral stance cards empty body empty fists my favorite thing to do with the watcher was always combinations with zero cost cards just like using the things that put a bunch of zeros back in your hand but i don't know if that's good in this mod oh boy i mean that's so much fun i can just get rid of all my defends or strikes yo like that's just something i can do here is kill every strike in my deck hella spicy excuse yo that might even be better for us than for the silent because we can natively generate energy with the columns yeah we can actually play this like i can play this without needing an energy relic what is that it's the salt meme thing okay um that's actually not nothing for us again because we have uh scry in class yeah so like this could function i would be okay with like getting the failure and turning that into a full heal but you know yeah right now we're on a we're on a fight path the joy of joy i always think fight path hmm i mean hence the one ascension yeah do you want to just win the fight i mean it's boring but goodbye [Laughter] when played or scribe [Music] uh the second relic just gives you a starter relic this doesn't do anything these cards they use the beta um because it's it's from a a mod that just doesn't have art that's a lot of the mods i have on add these cards i i think scry build is a real thing and just in a neutral scenario it gives you a lot of card selection all right um this upgrades to yeah so we have this orb that was our start okay discarding it does not count as scrying it yeah good no glad we got that out early now i'm entangled oh [ __ ] i'm just gonna enter calm it's fine oh this is bad because this one starts casting finales on us yeah take 15 next turn excuse rip okay um okay shane that eruption doesn't retain [Music] okay and this can only be played when [Music] i want to get damage going on the the ball you know this mini boss that's going to keep you showing up even at the cost of some health here and this thing needs to die very quickly um damn we have too much defense right now yeah i'm seeing a little a bit of a weakness in our deck here we got some damage going here though that's i mean this is a you know recurring enemy i have traditionally liked entering wrath unretained we don't have a lot of attacks right now the rush down i'm not huge on any of these really is at least better than a strike got heard of a bunch of them it does upgrade to two [Music] all right let's let's add some damage jordan i'm not super thrilled about that either but i do think of it as a bit of a necessity [Music] you could just eruption sash with him oh this is great we should be fine we're just going to end the fight it's fine yeah 120 [Laughter] okay that card is pretty sick [Music] another future shield damn all right um that just gets rid of grave on it um i think that two turns a week two is a whole lot more than one being able to like set up for a future turn pretty big i'll i accept i love it i accept [Music] it's fine when you lose a little bit of blood [Music] and this retains gets lower runic remote corresponding to a defeated enemy like so every fight i win i get a free card that's like that enemies card that sounds really cool just like it is of course one of my very favorites it's like just lucky yeah it's also a leap out it's extremely lame i'm yeah i love white [Laughter] all right yeah good luck not taking damage in these scenarios though and also is that for like one defeated enemy or like i don't know for each so that seems kind of sick if it's like all of them okay how much does perseverance give us right now seven seven okay so even if we did gin up like a blocking card wow [Music] there we go okay cause we got the artifact so we don't get [Laughter] poisoned then we have four artifacts from that card so okay trying to get the freebie you know i wanted that should be easy at this point the remote vibrates yo why are these the choices it must have a car that chooses for every enemy or something i don't know oh wow i kind of like sharp hide like that doesn't oh my god it's actually kind of funny all right okay we have we have some attacks in our deck now yeah i think we're back on having attacks on our deck i can actually wait one card discarded that's that's kind of funny combo we did it [Music] that is an artifact sir all right all right now am i gonna be able to i don't know if i can perfect this fight we're sure as i'll get a try it's gonna be it's gonna be quite tough it's got two incoming attacks for nine each yeah i can kill this thing but i don't have enough block and we can enter a stance but we can't leave one yeah um yeah [Music] now well goodbye we mode um it's fine we'll we'll get i'm sure we'll get plenty of opportunities to make good on it i like that it's glowing and it's going to stop glowing in a second yup that's given us this extra incentive to perfect all fights okay so now i want damn stance yo whoa that oh taking like 12 damage from the heart it just gives you 24 regions the sounds goodness that's a plan that seems really fun honestly any one cost power can be just extremely good yeah that's a pretty good power [Music] i love that cardio fleury's always one of my favorites the the stance dancing pay for a relic hmm uh excuse me what do you mean lose one energy like we lose one energy when we like play a card we would lose more than one so it's like is the first two drop a one i i think that's how i interpret okay that cost one okay it's just sort of an energy relic and because of how this fight works i can hold on to cards for a couple more turns [Music] i think that's going to break it actually yeah so i should probably just yeah [Music] yeah idea being that we were going to get the lightning and then six damage from the retained two cards all right yeah [Music] taking a beating that's fine yeah this ends today hey the undone meat what so you have to have a deck big enough to want to discard that many cards but also this is like the combo with our dumb thing right it also puts flurry of blows in the yard and put has you discard 10 cards so that you can get exactly the poison thing that then super poisons them also we're at low hp for the hexagons thank god and the other boss i'd have to heal here but but nah now we can improve our thorns card let me start to five um i'm just checking i'm just checking upgrades at the moment yeah i'm not i'm not super committed to the thorns i just think going from like non-exhaust to exhausted to you are we in the multi-class zone uh yeah we are now with a we gave us a multi-class zone it started with a an event that let us trade in three cards for three silent cards and we got atom bomb dagger throwing acid rain adam bomb in every other class is just a garbage card that you don't want in act one um for us every fight trying to start get to start with an extra i'm really excited that acid rain's gonna work just need to draw the okay so if we get a um a bottle we want apocalypse now in the bottle like oh god this upgrades to three yeah now that we've seen the acid spell um it it applies the poison like two at a time also burns do you want to live forever [Music] okay that seems pretty good oh no what do you mean one card discarded no no the dream has died what scribe doesn't count as discard even though the text of scribe says you may discard them oh no whatever damn it i i want to say that's a bug i want i want a bug report now someone edit the mod and reload [Music] 15 is not enough anyway anyway i'm gonna gain a bunch of life here i think the card is pretty bad without that working like just flat yeah yeah that that just kind of killed it for us painful because we had such high expectations but now [Music] because like we don't know like yeah that's the big thing like cards that discard cards in her hand in this fashion don't exist god damn i only have seven cards there's a drawback sometimes it doesn't work [Music] whatever um i i do believe that the the scry 10 card is going to be good there's enough scribe synergies in this class yeah and it's 18 damage for one and it's yeah [Music] it's a classic [Laughter] and we're pretty happy about that anyway [Music] fleeting purges and is removed from your deck on use uh-huh okay so i can hold this and it permanently keeps gaining a bunch of health i guess we do have that power that's like when you retain a car deal damage we got wish we do have this too obviously we hope you retain likers we're stuck halfway betw between retain and scry yeah as our main plans which is fine because like scry draws you into the other cards any non-boss relic sorry this is ooh oh my in-class cards can upgrade again any purple card less map information excuse me does it make extra question marks i think it probably i think it makes them all question marks that would be a lot less map information [Music] there's thorns i guess okay if i go so [Music] yeah we can definitely take one of these out of the air but then a bunch of end of turn stuff happens one in the back is growing okay so this should shuffle us mean this thing is just roasted right yeah that's a pity this also might be really good with us i i like it the the ability to change stances for zero is really powerful and it retains so that works with our other card there i think you're probably passing on reinforcement i don't know about reinforced body yeah that's what did how did you choose what card i know right like i understand that they might not have wanted to make like a card for every unique enemy in the entire game okay so we get hexed or do we uh could we crescendo adam ah oh i would have got the energy for that anyway uh hmm that's interesting i like that hmm goodness the scry plan this one gets really gnarly if we upgrade it all right so we want to find more of these things that are like this in your deck it costs one or more costs one less what's the newest card in our deck no thanks what would that have been it would have been uh the the power i just thought was gonna pick up um too strong genius level plays okay i can't get the remote this round [Music] ah that's fine but the wiimote rewards have been kind of disappointing so far we've gotten flame from it and that's the like yeah there's like a big winner okay says if you only play attacks in a combat you heal 10 hp there are seven elites and only two of them are touchable you're oh my god this sucks what a terrible start what like i'm like it's all combats all the time this is all right like if i go here no it's it's just you there's no fire throwing hands it's fire give me the three elites hold on hold on can we can we use the oh yeah no we i don't think we can use the roundabout to get any more because there's no elites it's all in that same line unbelievable it's one two oh i will always encourage crimes but uh let's be real that last tech when you scry it it also jumps back it's like you get to draw it for free a lot of the time i could have blocked but i heal more by just attacking [Laughter] ah the trumpet teaches us to play if it gets to that but keep them both on top i like seeing wall up there for sure wait i have to get rid of one do the damage here ah i gotcha uh did that do what we wanted that looked funky why did i each target hit that was the extra text yeah i missed we don't have the green key and we can't see the map yep it is entirely possible we just don't find our way out of this one but it's what it means being the canonical blind watchers yep we just have to deal with that multi-hit supply that's uh that's a good question we get to figure that out oh we did have a flurry in the yard how nice uh maybe we just leave him be he's having a time true we can always sell the blindfold that we needed to know all these plans that revolve around selling all of our stuff our damage is too ridiculous and i'm so happy about this deck this is great we've gotten pushed in a very good direction that's a multi-hitter can be anyway well let's take a boss yeah put one in jail sure yep that is a jailed minion okay so i want to hit the boss first i can actually weaken this a ton nice because it's like there's the minus strength there's the weekend and then let's see if the double hit jeans us yup ooh nice upgrade too does that just improve damage interesting i like that a lot more than it you want getting [Music] take less damage outside of combat hilarious so i could like buy the this to sell and we sell the cube just so we don't like but i feel like we're safe with the cube as long as we get the other thing that breaks the we don't need to sell the blindfold we got the like the blindfold is getting us energy we can sell the dentures that's nothing hmm anything else we can sell it's useless i mean everything else is actually pretty good for us yeah i mean pretty um happy with our relics its attacks which are kind of weak yeah the thing that it's doing is got a small butt yeah because it has this other thing and and it gains block when you gain block too yeah so jeez what a terrible that's a weird one i'm i'm i i'd like to see how it plays against like obvious regular like i i don't feel like this is a we didn't give it a fair shake right like we walked into it with a class that holy grail just like a casual plus 10 strength in every combat from the fourth relic that we get actually picking the cat jump like picking the cat gem that doesn't have any drawbacks also for those who haven't seen it in some time uh usually we see the iron clad here so this heart is uh onions oh yeah and it's a it's an official class so it just has art that is extremely what it looks like when we get to the top of the spire we just blast that [ __ ] oh god this was just beautiful so anyway i started blasting like i didn't need to attack more shoe but i did because i wanted the finger trap because that was an answer to uh heartbeat that was the reason i picked i did it nice um the the rug itself i mean i didn't think we had a particularly hard time defeating more shoe either i do like that you have to do it twice you you have to do the double more shoe that makes it a complicated choice because like it's like ooh do i think i can squeak out this one it's like well that's not the full ask yeah can you do it twice if you can you get a lot well sorry for making your next several runs of sling aspire look bad but like oh though i'm i'm super happy that we got to do a plan that basically doesn't feel like it's normally real like i don't i don't think you can like go in to slay the spire expecting that to happen right like no anytime we talk about plans it's like okay you know you're looking for a couple cards maybe a couple relics to support it if you get this particular combination you're set that kind of thing yeah but but this just categorically ignore skills and powers especially because in the class we're in we're like that's not something you do the idea of the class is a lot of like timing your choices and yeah there's a lot of like wow so yeah this is a
